  • Same. I hear about how you just have to time it but either that timing is such a small window that it's impossible to actually hit or I'm too dum to figure it out. If I start solving the millisecond I break the Chain, a chain spawns. If I wait for an opening, they won't stop. If I finally see said opening and start, a chain was actually spawning at the time so too late!

I get there should be a downside to holding onto the box but making it damn near impossible to solve if you've held the box for more than five seconds (or the Chain Hunt already started before you get there) doesn't seem like a great solve...

  • Oni. I was getting destroyed in this game. Your normal old SWF crew. Clickity Clicks, baiting chases so they could head-on, t-bagging, basically anything a jerk SWF crew can do, these guys are doing it

I end up with only a handful of hooks in that game and obviously am ready for this ish to be over with. Go open the gates and start running around trying to gather blood orbs to get some points out of this game. But obviously they were not done with their chew toy and decided to start vault spamming.

I get my powers up and running and decide fine, I'll come over and force you out. Might as well. One of them screwed up their window jumping and end up on the wrong side of it where they get smushed by my big stick of justice. By this point, half of the EGC has happened and I realize...is this going to happen? Play it cool, they can't know what's coming or they'll not do it.

I hook the survivor and make sure to immediately fall for the one guy trying to get me to chase them so they can unhook their buddy. About 30 seconds left give or take at this point. I run to smush the guy, see the unhooked happened, and immediately stopped...

    Blood Warden. Checkmate #########. 4K

    😈

I got three messages after that game. Two of them though it was hilarious and one of them was saltier than the saltiest mountain in all of salty land. It was great.

  • It's a...🙂...mystery 😎

Long in the night early in the day. Same as always

    This

If I play in the day, survivor is instant and killer is 30ish seconds

If I play at night (6pm and beyond), killer is instant and survivor can be anywhere between 30 seconds and 5 minutes. I have never had one of the huge waits I've heard (10+ minutes) personally but I imagine a large amount of the player base is American so a larger pool to pick from.

  • Did you boop the snoot? People think Pig is just a simple creature that you can just buy and forget but they're a lot of responsibility and work. You must boop the snoot AT LEAST twice a match to make sure your Pig is happy and well taken care of.

  • I am confusion

How is this snowman abuse? If they weren't in the snowman, they could just as easily let you die on the hook. The snowmen are innocent of this crime!

  • Jack, shoot the hostage

  • Many killers have taken a break and/or quit with how bad the game has gotten for killers.

Add in an event that is geared towards giving survivors extra stuff to do (and yet another advantage depending on what killer is in play as the snowmen can downright hard counter The Twins and Ghostface) and a major problem the game has retaining killers gets that much worse.

Your location and time of day can also be a major factor. For example here in America (edit: Midwest since it sounds like even your location in America might make your queue vary wildly), survivor queue is usually instant during the day but spikes up at night. Killer is usually a little bit slower in the day but instant at night.

  • Oh #########, is it kitty posting time!?!?!!

Which Holly pic is the cutest...

    This one? Yeah...this one.

  • Me to confused survivor mains

    cover1.jpg

  • I don't even bother looking at the avatars since the site just has the limited number of default avatars to choose from.

It just confuses my tiny brain :'(

  • I play both. I will play whichever queue is shortest (so generally that means I am survivor by day and killer by night). I find both roles fun in their own unique ways.

  • Yup, I said in another thread and I'll say it again and maybe even one more time! There's really nothing special about the event for the killers so I'd expect survivor queue to be like this for the two weeks since survivors actually get something fun to play with.

  • I'd expect that for the next two weeks as this event gives Survivors extra fun stuff to do while putting killers at a minor (or major for Ghost face or Twins) disadvantage.

  • I've been enjoying it greatly but it's also only been one day so maybe once the whimsical fun of the absurdity is over with I'll join the angry killers hating it

    Bloodwarden is mostly for fun.

Sure it fails 9 times out of 10.

But that 1 time it doesn't? Priceless

    This

Especially when the Bully SWF Squad F's around and then they get to find out (that Bloodwarden is here!)

That's basically the reason I run it. It doesn't do anything for 90% of my matches but the 10% where it punishes cocky jerks being cocky jerks is so worth running 3 perks in a match

Yeah when you can't blink through walls its harder... That's what I was saying, they changed the addon to allow you to blink through walls again and so it is now easier.

Oh. Was not aware of that. Neato!

ITVSK has been made easier in that the addon was changed- now increases recharge time instead of makes it so you can't blink through walls

I'd think it would make it harder because unless the survivor is paying zero attention to their eyes or ears, they'd see and hear The Nurse coming from a mile away. At least with going through walls, I'd think maybe you could get the drop on someone who didn't see you but how could you not see her coming when she's blinking her way down the hallway :D

I generally don't play as Nurse so you could be right. She's just such a pain to use, especially on console, that I never really bothered to figure it out.

  • 167/184 (and for fun, I have 81 days, 5 Hours, and 26 Minutes of play time)

Some of them will be easy to get once I actually go do it (like throw 1,000 hatches or using Yamaoka's Haunting to down 30 survivors; just killers I don't like to use) and some I just never expect to do ever (like From the Void she kills to chain 3 blinks together and grab someone, which I'm not even sure if possible anymore without a survivor purposefully allowing you to do it since the only way to chain 3 blinks now is using the add-on that means you can't go through walls)

Unless I'm going for Adept, I don't change what I'm doing to try to get the achievements in this game. I just naturally stumbled into the vast majority just playing the game for almost two years now.

  • He's not an easy killer to use and can be downright useless if you get a bad map (basically anything indoors, Haddonfield, or maps where the RNG decided the survivors deserve 500000 pallets).

He can snowball something fierce but if you can't get that snowball rolling, he's completely impotent.

Then CoH once again pops up to wave at another killer who specializes in injuring survivors to spread out pressure, something CoH directly counters.

  • I'll play as them if I get a Daily but with CoH making Legion useless to play as, it's really not worth my time to gamble on playing as them. Unfortunate because while Legion is a middle to low tier killer, I did enjoy the unique challenge of playing as them but CoH made it go from a unique challenge to an impossible one.

  • I'm certainly not saying it's not happening considering how many people talk about it (especially streamers since it sounds like hackers have figured out how to get into games specifically targeting streamers) but personally, I have not notice any more cheating than usual (which for me is like...one game out of like thirty give or take).

  • They're not going to do anything, half because BHVR doesn't care that so many in their community are Toxic A-holes and half because if you remove T-bagging at the gates, Toxic A-Holes are just going to find a different way to be Toxic A-Holes.

  • I played as her a bit and she seems to have a lot of the same problems that basically all M1 killers have; against bad survivors, I can dominate with her but against good survivors, she's not all that useful. But against bad survivors, I could dominate with any of the killers so why would I choose her over others?

What you are showing here would be a huge boost to her ability and give us a reason to play as her over other killers. Right now there are a lot of generators that I can't send the crows after because there is a tiny drop (hell, her own map has a gen in a random hole in the ground that is about 2 feet down but the crows don't hit it because of the height thing).

  • Or it's just dummies who are AFK (either by choice to force their MMR down or they wandered away waiting for a game and it loaded up before they returned) and you were unlucky enough to get that in multiple games.

They're getting healed by the other players because if I'm stuck in a game with an AFK, I'm gonna at least try to farm their bloody husks to get some altruism points before we lose...

If BHVR had bots, I imagine even BHVR could figure out how to get the bots to walk to a generator and start working on it. I know BHVR can be inept but even they could handle that much (... probably).

  • Others have said it and I will join. If someone has BT active and runs away, they're safe (In all likelihood, I'll never know they had BT as I prefer to be Nice Killer Tippy and not punish someone for something they had no control over as their crappy teammate unsafe unhooked).

However, if a survivor wants to use BT offensively and bodyblock me as a killer when I'm trying to go after someone else, you've forfeit the Nice Killer Tippy and now you get Tunnelin Tippy (and no, DS won't save you either. Tunnelin Tippy shows no mercy).

    Hope it was worth it!

  • That escalated quickly...

  • ...wait, fo rizzle?

Huh. I've been playing for almost two years and I had no idea there was a range to it.

  • He's absolutely annoying to face

Even if they fixed his completely busted reveal mechanic, I've had it happen way too often where he will stalk you to 99 and then later in the game in the middle of a chase he will stalk you and put you in exposed and there's nothing you can do about it. I don't know about anyone else but he doesn't feel like a killer ambusing the prey he's been stalking when we're in the middle of an open space and I'm staring him in the face...

They really should just edit the text in the report screen to clarify.

There is a LOT BHVR should do to make reporting make even the slightest amount of sense :D

But yes, this would be a good (and probably super easy start). Along with clarifying what Reportable Bodyblocking is so that they're not getting a bunch of reports against a Plague Killer who got a survivor stuck in a corner and thrown up on for the double whammy knockdown...

  • @Lycidas said:

    NO, do NOT report disconnects.

Reporting disconnects does nothing since BHVR put in place the DC penalty system. If anything, reporting someone who disconnected slows down the work of the (very few, probably) people who have to sift through the "useless" reports in order to find the "real" ones.

    This

To add to this/clarify, DCing is NOT a reportable offense. So you reporting them does nothing but slows down legit tickets because there is a built-in penalty to DCing as Lycidas states and therefore if someone DCs, they've already been punished per BHVR rules.

  • Dear Slim, I wrote you but still ain't callin'

    Oh wait, wrong letter.

Dear Toxic SWF Squads; you almost certainly do not care at all but your behavior is why so many killers just out and quit and will only punish you as your queues get longer and longer and longer until you've got no one left to bully.

  • @Shaped said:

I also can't stop counting how many times teammate killed himself at the start and we won 3vs1. Always makes me laugh at the end how spoonfed survivors are and expect easy wins every game so they give up immediately.

I have always wondered with this though if it's the killer taking their foot off the gas. I've had games as killer where the one person DCs or suicides asap and I play as a killer "badly".

I'll go after hooks and whatnot but if you're on you're injured and on your death hook, I'll weirdly "lose" you in the middle of a chase or decide kicking that gen at 3% completion is more important. I always wonder if those survivors realize what I'm doing or if they just think they're so damn good that they managed to win 3v1 :D

Just a random thought reading your post.

  • Because for some reason in her design, it was determined that the puke itself isn't what causes sickness, little blobs of super puke in the puke is what does it. So if you're unlucky and hit someone with a stream but NOT the little blob, the game goes LOL JK and has the person act like they got infected but didn't actually infect them.

It's not only you so don't feel bad. When this game fires on all cylinders it is a blast to play! It's why we keep coming back. But then reality hits us over the head with just how broken this game can be, and when you couple that with just how sweaty playing Killer has now become, it's just not fun.

Pretty much and as shocked as some may be by this, curb stomping my opponent isn't all that much fun either (though at least then I'm not controller smashing frustrated).

It's felt like this for a while but Nu-MMR seems to have really exasperated the issue where those rare "win or lose by the finest of finest of finest hairs" that make the frustration worth it get rarer and rarer and rarer...

  • I feel like I go through this every few months and after last night's game, I'm wondering if I'll finally be smart enough to actually quit quit. Just pure frustration going up against the SWF Hit Squads who go out of their way to take advantage of broken mechanics to not only win but to make it as miserable as humanly possible for the killer.

So like usual, I've uninstalled but I'll probably see you all again in a week when my stupid tiny brain only thinks about the 1 in 10 awesome games instead of the usual DBD experience of either curb stomping survivors or getting curb stomped...

I hear ya. The worst thing that can happen though is that your team is so incompitent that they let you get 2 hooked or even 1 hooked with Kindred. I had a game once where my team let me get one hooked and i had Kindred....After that game i didnt que back up for another 2 minutes or so and smh while contemplating and questioning in my head lol. I couldnt believe the team i was playing on was THAT bad!

Absolutely it can be a double edged sword (not in terms of me getting to use it but getting it to sit there and watch my incompetent team be super incompetent).

I can try to give them information but you can't fix stoopid

  • I assume when I am playing Solo that I will die as I just kind of expect incompetent teammates. Then I can at least be pleasantly surprised when I get one or two (or...dare I dream....THREE) good to great teammates.

It's why I run Bond on most of my builds and Kindred on every build; I just assume the team is going to be incompetent so I need to have the information perks to help me make the best decisions.

  • It's not only a secret offering, it's a SUPER secret offering!

that´s because you´re taking the game so serious (which is silly) , you think that win is getting fun, and that's a mistake, No matter if I won or not as a killer, I've always have fun playing it

I'm not talking about just just winning or losing. I'm talking about a soul crushing demoralizing game where you as a killer is as threatening as a fart.

I couldn't care less if I get 0K or 4K or anything in-between as long as it's fun. However, especially at high mmr, there are plenty of games where it is NOT fun because the deck is so stacked against you (and enough survivors who know this and go out of their way to not only win but to make it as unenjoyable as possible for the killer).

Unless you're a masochist, very few killers enjoy getting absolutely curb stomped and insulted throughout their match...

  • As usual, it greatly depends

If you put up four survivors who are of equal skill to the killer, the killer is going to get his arse kicked the vast majority of the time

It's why SBMM isn't as big of a deal for people in the lower to mid levels but once you get to the top levels, it's top skilled survivors going up against top skilled killers, which is almost always going to favor the survivors unless they royally screw it up or they have a potato or two that hamstrings their team. This can be especially frustrating and demoralizing as there are plenty of SWF Hit Squads in the higher levels who KNOW they have the advantage and know how to take advantage of that and use it to make playing killer an absolute Hell. You get a handful of those games in a row and your will to play killer ever again drops like a rock...

The killers I’m going against are having no problem winning survivor queues are gonna get longer hopefully you’re not complaining about boons if you’re telling people to do bones

...again, survivor queues getting longer is the opposite of what you are expecting here. If survivors were quitting in anger over NOED, survivor queue would shorten as the survivor pool would get smaller and therefore less competition for you to get into games.

As for CoH, I do think it's OP (since unlike hexes, killers can't break boons for the rest of the game and unlike survivors, killers don't have a bunch of perks or items to find bones) but like everything else in this game on both sides, you adapt to them. In this case, it wouldn't shock me if some of that adaption by killers is more NOED (see what I said in my first post about it as I don't feel like retyping it out again).

  • You realize that the survivor queue getting longer is because so few players are willing to play killer, right? It's not because survivors are so mad about NOED that they decide to...keep playing survivor.

NOED is fine. There are multiple perks and an item you can use to find totems. Either do dem bones or risk the killer having NOED (or what seems to be the most popular play now is to ignore the bones but keep track of where they're at. If NOED pops, go back to all dem bones spots and find the one on fire).

EDIT: I can also anecdotally say that NOED was something I never ran but with CoH in play, I've started adding it to a few of my builds for fun. It's really the only way to counter CoH since survivors won't do dem bones (as they want them all around for CoH) and you can't heal up if you go down in one shot
