Survivors: Report disconnects even when it benefits you

Title. When someone DC's because they got downed first, or because their greedy hook save failed, or to give the hatch...report them. They are ruining your experience and the Killer's both by doing that. Don't condone ragebabies. Don't let them get away with being entitled children just because it benefits you right now. If you let them get away with it the day will come when someone is doing it and it doesn't benefit you and nobody will care about your crying. Remember: It always comes around sooner or later.

  • NO, do NOT report disconnects.

Reporting disconnects does nothing since BHVR put in place the DC penalty system. If anything, reporting someone who disconnected slows down the work of the (very few, probably) people who have to sift through the "useless" reports in order to find the "real" ones.

  • Nope. If someone doesn’t want to play the match I couldn’t care less if they DC or not

  • DC’s get (or should get) banned automatically, so you’re actually clogging support with redundant tickets.

    This

To add to this/clarify, DCing is NOT a reportable offense. So you reporting them does nothing but slows down legit tickets because there is a built-in penalty to DCing as Lycidas states and therefore if someone DCs, they've already been punished per BHVR rules.

  • Why they're already being punished.

The more they DC the longer they have to sit in timeout.

  • K. Game stays bad, then.

People who DC are automatically temporarily banned, and the penalty ramps up automatically.

There is no need to report, it all happens by itself, you should be happy about it

They really should just edit the text in the report screen to clarify.

There is a LOT BHVR should do to make reporting make even the slightest amount of sense :D

But yes, this would be a good (and probably super easy start). Along with clarifying what Reportable Bodyblocking is so that they're not getting a bunch of reports against a Plague Killer who got a survivor stuck in a corner and thrown up on for the double whammy knockdown...

  • Please do not report people for disconnecting, thank you.

There's a system in place that punishes DCing, reporting them will just clog the system.
