I hope you enjoy yourself. From what I can tell Stealth Doc seems better than ever.
He's been great for helping me find people. I'm terrible at finding survivors if they stealth around me.
-
Thank you for all the responses and ideas guys. I'll have to try out different things but the new Doctor is alot better for me.

My point is that "1 time use only, so its fine" is poor logic for deeming something strength. DS has always been 1 time use, but its still been changed away from its original design of "stun the guy who dares down me" and at least given SOME limits. That was just an example... Like I said to someone else, old BNPs has also only been one time use items, but the original version was still too strong. Defending anything in the game with "well its one time use so its ok" doesnt mean much. Im not calling unbreakable OP or anything, just that the "one time use" argument is a poor one.
I get what you are saying. I'm just pointing out you have take the number of uses into account. As another example; if in a blood web you can get an Engineer's toolbox or a Commodious toolbox which would you pick? Most people, most of the time will pick the Commodious because it lasts longer. It's not the only factor, but it's an important one.

Which was also my point to the OP. Don’t ask killers to stop lobby dodging without asking survivors to stop dcing when they’re faced with something they don’t like.
Fair enough. I misread it as you saying one was fine while the other wasn't.

Never really understood the whole "only works one time" argument. Some of the strongest things in the game only work 1 time. Keys only let you open hatch 1 time and a mori only kills you 1 time.
It's not the only piece. For example, multiple triggers for DS or Unbreakable would be absolutely broken. Single time use makes them just annoying.
-
Guess you missed where they said they wanted to add something else that would be more interesting then staring at a gen. They clearly see gens are going to fast, and want to find something to make games last longer. Something other than increasing base gen times.

You can’t complain about Killers lobby dodging when they see items that they don’t like to deal with when Survivors dc while the match is loading when they see a hidden offering.
Both sides avoid facing things they don’t like, it’s not the players job to put up with it for the sake of their opponents fun, it is the job for the Developers to make the game fun.
There was no need for this thread in the first place. The thread should have been requesting the developers to make the game more enjoyable so there would be less lobby dodging and less dcing. Not asking people to “put up” with unfun matches.
My point was you can't complain when one side does it and not the other.
-
I believe their point was adjusting strategy to the map in question. Not they weren't going to continue working on maps to balance them out better.

He said something factually incorrect during a livestream. I don't see how this was cringy unless you have very low tolerance.
I kinda cringed when he said it. But only because I knew somebody would try to make a thing about it.
-
@AvisDeene said:
Nope, I will dodge all lobbies that have two or more toolboxes.
I will keep dodging lobbies until survivor stop dcing at the start of a match when they see it’s a killer they don’t like or when they stop dcing because I downed them first.
So you get the option to nope out of the match based on information. Survivors don't get similar information and you think it's unfair for them to decide their out. Double standard much? I'm not condoning DC's but you're doing exactly what they are. Just a bit earlier.

I don't think anyone is passionately against changing them, it's just fairly low priority since it wouldn't make a difference in the vast majority of matches and would take time away from other more pressing issues.

You got me, the jig is up. We all sat around the table and thought making Rancor work differently from other killer and survivor perks was the best way to intentionally chase killer players away from the game. That's definitely a way more logical explanation.
I love when you get snarky.
@LordGlint said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1025277#Comment_1025277
Rancor was limited so it wouldnt give away the last person's position. After you close the hatch, the last person still has a chance to open a gate. If rancor gave that persons position away like it does when the last gen pops... they wouldnt have a chance.
I hadn't thought about the aura part. That actually makes it working the way it does make even more sense.

No they're not. You can dislike a perk without deserving others playing to make you miserable. I personally disagreed with the Ruin change . But the devs don't listen to me.

Cool. You did everything you could to make people have a miserable.

What are people using the person on the hook to body block or something?

I mean it’s pretty fun walking to a generator across the map and it gets completed before I can even get to it and later find out that they have prove thyself. But yeah
They'd have finished that gen without it. Those 4 seconds aren't enough to prevent it. Most people use Prove Thy Self for the BP.
-
It would almost be funny if it wasn't so accurate.

I've never liked playing against Doc. But even I see the Static Blast is way better.

@kodd1000 said:
As long as it resorts to characters that are able to be bought with earned in-game currency, it is not pay to win. It costs 9000 shards to buy each like you said, which is dependent on a bit of game time. Yes, a player could buy it for roughly $8 and save probably the equivalent of about four hours, but that isn't really that big of a deal to be honest.
As far as if it were pay to win, are you really going to call it pay to win if the player earns rewards for a challenge they completed? It isn't like they paid money and got bloodpoints, they still had to meet the right conditions to finish the challenge. I really understand your opinion, but I think it is a bit of a stretch here.
How do you get 4 hours? You have to complete 30 devotion levels to get 9,000 shards. You sure as hell can't do that in 4 hours

I've been informed by the community here recently that the killer is not allowed to struggle. If you struggle in any way shape or form it's because you need to "Git gud", there can be no consideration for anything else.
If you are a survivor struggling with something however, then obviously something needs to be reworked or looked into.
Who the hell told you that? Whoever it was, they're an idiot.
@UwUMyersUwU said:
I haven't had much issue. I normally play ghostface, piggy, bubba, and Freddy and I'm still chilling at rank 5-3. Just adjust, and stop crying. It's not that bad, pressure can be made. Don't stress out over a gen popping in the first chase, or even two. Just get that snowball. And you can't win them all, so if you loose, shrug it off, try again.
While I agree with the sentiment about shrugging off the lose. Alot of killers need that extra time to learn. You can't get better at fighting loops, mind games, ect if you don't get enough time in game.
@BigTimeGamer said:
dude don’t u know that u can just apply pressure?????
who cares if u are a 110 on a map the size of Uganda just pressure looooool
/s
I actually believe that people need to apply pressure. I think that alot of killers blame the game for their own short comings as a killer. That said, something has to give. Either shrinking some of the larger maps, a second objective, or something to help. Because as it stands things have been pushed too far towards the survivors.
@FearlessHunter said:
Playing as killer now requires you to sweat super hard to win. Survivor mains wouldn’t know that though because all they have to do is sit on a gen for 80 seconds. That’s why you see the comments saying “git good”
And of course let’s not forget if something does do well on the killer side then it must be nerfed/reworked because it’s not fun for the survivors
Most games killers are camping/tunneling off the hook. Survivors are being forced to be sweaty just to have a chance to survive. Then killers are forced to be even more sweaty to try to secure any kills. Both sides are feeding off each in a bad way right now.
@Hex_ToasterBath said:
We need to start playing the survivors at their own game, complaining until we get what we want. We need to stop being the silent majority and be the loud majority. We need to spam the devs, the forums, and the YouTube page and since it works for the survivors, they might listen.
Except hardly anyone asked for a Ruin nerf. Hell most survivors opposed it. Stop blaming every poor choice the devs make on survivors.

I am actually posting a topic which does not address the real reason why Gen Pops left and right in a minute. I'm posting this topic so the Devs will give equal treatment of nerfing(of course if they'll listen). Since they based their nerf on the usage of the perk, then why won't they nerf survivor's perk then, Since 95% of the Survivors who are on the Red Ranks uses DH, Adrenaline and DS? Because even If i point out the real problem of the situation, The Devs have no any idea what I'm talking about..
@Peanits said part of the reason was to try to see how bad or not gens were. Hopefully they already have something in mind, and only changed Ruin so the could fine tune it.

No it doesnt. The point is the devs have every right to use every aspect of theyre game. If you chose not to get dlc then you chose not to do those challenges
Making people even less likely to by their battle pass that they're pimping.
-
They can be. Mostly I find Doc obnoxious because his shocks play hell with my fps.

Prove Thyself only affects other Survivors, not yourself. You would get one gen done in ~30 seconds and be chased by the Killer, splitting you up. Also, that is a perfect scenario that happens rarely.
Prove Thy Self removes the negative from both you and the other survivor. Once there's a third or fourth survivor the negatives from the other two exceed Prove Thy Self.

It’s not possible, please show me the Math on how that is possible
Engineers toolbox adds .25 charges per second. Which makes repair speed 1.25 charges per second. Socket Swivels add another .15 and Clean Rag another .10 for a total of an additional .25 per second. Add them together you get .50 charges per second for a total of 1.50 charges per second. 80 divided by 1.5 is 53.33.
Which can be done even faster with a Brand New Part in place of the Clean Rag.

If you decided to never play a certain character for "reasons" then dont let the rift talk you out of it...stand tall and main your adam or pig and say ######### you rift!!!
The point is not everyone has all the DLC. Which to me makes having Dlc stuff in the challenges a bad idea.

Gen speed not fair breh 4 survivor can get a gen done in 20 seconds tell me how that’s fair
28.6 seconds actually. And if literally all four are on the same gen it should go ridiculously fast.
-
@Pulsar said:
2 to 3 gens in a minute is not possible.
It's easily possible. Engineers toolboxes get you nearly there by themselves. A yellow with socket swivel will do it.

@BabyBubbaMain said:
No. Maps just have no business being 12,000 Square Meters when 70% of the killer cast moves at 4.6 meters per second with no mobility.
Generator speeds are fine, but toolboxes definitely shouldn’t be a thing, as well as perks like prove thyself.
Survivors should have true secondary objectives as well instead of “lol just do bones” because holding M1 on a generator for 80 seconds is quite frankly, boring.
Who the hell complains about Prove Thy Self?
No, a second objective would be better. I suggested each survivor needed to find a tool belt to repair a gen. Or suffer a 25% debuff without it.
-
Survivors got there way...yet nobody was asking for the Ruin nerf. You got an issue Ruin being nerfed look at BHVR. That was there choice. One that may survivors, myself included disagreed with.
Both sides have gone up in being toxic. Had a Myers game where he refused to hook anyone. Just slugged them till they bleed out.

Same here, and the aim assist/autoaim seems odd. In one game I was trying to hit a Survivor who was opening a chest. On the first try hit the left hand corner of the chest. On the second try I hit the right hand corner of the chest.
I don't know if it was Doctor specific or if I adjusted to it after a few games. I had trouble with it for the first few games I played last night, and I played doctor in those games. After three or four games I switched to Pig, and didn't have the issue. That may be because I had adjusted to it, not because I switched killers.
Mine was Huntress. Though I was having a similar issue with Pig. I kept hitting walls and trees. Basically anything but the survivor.

Of course, general stats alone aren't used for balancing. We make sure to do our research, watch experienced players play and get their feedback, and use more detailed statistics.
Her addons could still use tweaking. I'd love to see an addon to extend her lunge distance. Also removing the roar from her dash attack, or at least making it later in the dash charge up.

Considering the number of Firecrackers being thrown at me, I wish I had Franklin's.

I believe they are still trying to narrow down the cause.
