@not_Queen I noticed this as well on the Doctor yesterday. I kept aiming too far to the left or right when trying to hit the survivor(PS4)
I thought you guys might of did something to the control sensitivity.
I noticed this too yesterday as killer. It felt like all my hits kept missing for no reason. I thought it was just because I was trying out Huntress.

Is the dev team trying to come up with any solutions/compromises ? Will kinda suck if for the rest of eternity we'll keep getting more survivor challenges than killer challenges. Especially bad for killer mains, who'll have a wayyy harder time completing the Rift (since challenges are the main way of making Rift progress).
Pretty much every killer main is always saying how easy survivor is. I'm sure they'll knock out those challenges in no time.

We aren't looking to sell bloodpoints. While I'm sure there are some people out there who would like to do so and quickly catch up or start off, selling bloodpoints would mostly be seen as a dirty move.
Would the dev team ever consider letting players sell back unwanted items from the blood web? If say I got an odd bulb but don't use flashlights selling it back to the game at a reduced cost. Maybe a 50% rate or something like that.

It is possible to derank that far if they haven't played in quite a long time. I'm not sure if this is still the case, but it was definitely possible to get reset back to rank 19 or 20 under the previous rank reset system. The other possibility is, as you say, that they earned bloodpoints playing killer which they then spent to level up their survivors.
Depending on which perks they had, it may not even be either of those - it might just be that they used the 100k or so bloodpoints that you get from completing the tutorials and got lucky with their levels, or possibly they have played a lot of games and so earned enough bloodpoints to level their characters, but aren't yet good enough at the game to have ranked up very far.
You pretty much covered it all.

Detectives Hunch with a map is stupid good.

Umm not sure you should frame it as an ultimatum. That's definitely not going to work. I agree that Billy should not be touched. Maybe rework the rarity of his addons to be more in line with newer killers. But that's it.

Had a 4k turn into a 2k the other day because of a key. It sucks, but is what it is I'm afraid. I actually think Keys and Mori's will get hit this summer. Nothing concrete, just a feeling.

got something to back that up with?
and again, if it was then it would be a set timer, the devs made this entire mechanic of slowing down the timer when a survivor is downed or on a hook, why?
because its more then just preventing a hostage situation...
The devs said that was the point when they introduced it. The timer is there to get people out once the gate is open. That's it. It slows when someone is down to give the others time to save. If it bugs you as killer just open the damn door and force the issue. Just because you don't like people 99ing the doors doesn't mean it needs changed.
-
Honestly you've made it more complicated than it needs to be. If I were to change Ds I'd make the timer 30 seconds maybe a little longer. If you are chased or downed in those 30 seconds the timer pauses and Ds will not deactivate. If neither of those things happen in those 30 seconds it deactivates. That should lead to only tunneling killers getting hit with it. Or at least mostly only tunneling killers.
-
You just explained why Billy is strong. His weakness in loops is what keeps him balanced.

That is a joke right? I've never been in a match where a Myers hasn't been able to tank up to T3, excluding those designed not to rank. His stalk ran as a good distance and he can rank to 2 pretty fast, often before he is spotted because of no terror radius T1. I bet the salt didn't come from him playing Myers, but how he played him. Killers keep saying "play as you want." But realize when you ppl play like a scum, making it boring by tunneling, slugging, camping, you'll be treated as such after. You had fun during the match, but I didn't, I'll have fun after the match making fun of you, then watch you complain on the boards about it.
Infinite T3 Myers takes stalking all 4 survivors nearly dry. So yeah, it's kind of that teams fault if they get there.

Well lets just say I dont agree with the claim that the endgame collapse exists soley as a means to combat holding a game hostage.
If that were the case it would just be a fixed timer then the doors are opened and non of this lasting longer when a survivor is downed or on the hook nonsense.
Its meant for some high stakes gameplay at the end, 99 doors just completely removes that and gives just about all the power to survivors, combine it with body blocking, BT and DS and yeah, you indeed already lost as killer at this point but stll have to bask in the glory of survivors going for some low risk saves.
Again, if there was regression of some kind, it would be a lot more balanced, it would ask for survivors to maybe leave 1 behind at the door so it can be opened making it a lot more high stakes to get the person on the hook, as it should be.
You can disagree, but that was the entire point of EGC. Preventing hostage situations.

Is it a matchmaking problem that can be fixed by coding or is it actually that there are not enough high rank killers to go round so the game eventually starts any way it can regardless of killer rank?
I think its the latter. They need to make playing killer more appealing / less frustrating but without annoying survivors. The eternal dilemma.....
I'd guess it's probably a combination of the two.
-
Why would you? It's rude as #########.

Plague can be fun. Just cleanse. Make it a challenge. :D

The issue with that logic is, right now because of things like map imbalance and second chances, there's a literal limit to how good a killer can be if they choose someone who can't apply gen pressure adequately. It's not always about getting better.
I didn't say there isn't going to be a cap. But you won't find it unless you are willing to take a beating along the way. That's not to say killers like Bubba don't need some QoL buffs. They do. I just don't agree with the notion that it's impossible to be competitive with a lower tier killer.
-
Lol. Then they'd end up deleting Plague and Legion if I had that power.

"Survivors will never escape 100 times in a row"
"A killer can get 100 4k's in a row so they must be fine"
Firstly , the OP is referring to how swf and killers are balanced and used this logic to justify it.
1) against an optimal swf an optimal killer will never win , this can be shown through math88's depip squad. Furthermore they managed to get out in a record time of 3 minutes. All of them.
2 ) those videos showing killers getting 100 wins in a row....they're done by people who know this game inside and out, like scottjund. That isn't representative of the entire killer playerbase, on the other hand people like spacecoconut managed to use hag effectively before her buffs....this doesn't mean she was anywhere near mid-tier just because one person mastered playing the killer
3 ) unless they're done in seperate sessions I doubt ANYBODY would be able to get 100 matches in a row let alone wins due to Que times. Furthermore if you look to noob3's 50 escapes in a row video it's been shown that you don't need a 4 man swf to make escaping a killer easy. Although both people in the swf are highly experienced survivors. However, unlike killer it's far easier to reach this skill ceiling on th r survivor side rather than the killer side
1) The game was much more unbalanced then. Also your assuming those killers were optimal players. Alot weren't.
2) Kinda of like the dreaded 4 man swf hit squad. They're pretty damn rare.

It's not just me then. I was playing last night, and could barely track scratch marks.

Even Glint won't sit there and pretend Bubba has any gen pressure on unbalanced maps.
I didn't say he wins every game. I actually don't know his win rate. Rng will bite you at some point no matter how good you are. All I'm saying is you definitely will struggle if you don't continue to grow your skill.
-
Or continue to practice and improve with the killer you like. Winning without ruin is definitely possible. I believe @LordGlint is fairly proficient with Bubba. He could probably give you some advice.

Making a blanket statement not to nerf anything isn't realistic. Especially when nerfs usually come with some buffs, too. Also I don't think maining one side or the other makes your opinion about anything any more valid or meaningful. Balancing this game is complex. Both sides need nerfs and buffs in certain areas.
I'm not saying never change anything. I'm saying that the strong killers are in a good spot. At least in my opinion. As the game continues to change and evolve tweaks will always be needed. That's not the same as nerfing something.
As for mentioning I'm a survivor main. I did that to avoid the git gud killer main comments that I expected. It doesn't make my opinion more valid. But I do think it means I'm probably less biased in killers favor then a killer main.

(EDIT: amended a few requirements to make the challenge more approachable)
Record and post at least 10 matches on YouTube.
The rules are simple:
- The gameplay must be your own. You cannot use anyone else's. It must be you playing.
- You must play as the Hillbilly. You cannot play any other Killer and you cannot play Survivor.
- You cannot use Addons of any kind.
- You cannot use Offerings of any kind.
- You cannot use any Perks.
- You must attempt to use the chainsaw to down Survivors whenever possible and you must always try to use the chainsaw first.
- You must kill all four Survivors every match.
- You cannot disconnect from a match, regardless of map or if you're losing.
The purpose of this experiment is simple: you will test, for yourself, whether or not Billy is "broken", "unbalanced" or "unfair" by relying solely on Billy's Power.
If Billy's Power is truly broken, then you should be able to easily 4k every single match regardless of map, whether or not you're up against adept Survivors or any other factor besides the Power alone.
Looking forward to seeing the results.
That's not really a proper test. Billy is strong if you know how to play him. I don't, and would get wrecked. I think all the Billy OP posts are utter nonsense.

Except those more balanced killers that move at the same speed as him don't cross the map in less than the duration of BBQ, have an instadown that requires 0 setup, can patrol every gen in 10 seconds flat, and can down people at the start of the match when the only counter is to literally cross your fingers and hope you spot him coming around blind corners faster than you can possibly outrun his turning. They also don't have training wheel add ons that remove any skill from the power.
Billy is gross.
You make him sound ridiculously OP. He's honestly not. His saw gives him good pressure. I'd also say the hitbox on it is a bit too big. Otherwise he's not that bad.

@anarchy753 said:
I hate it because of how unavoidable it is. I can know you have Head On, I can know which locker you're in, but my options are still 'hand you a free escape from the chase' or 'get stunned.' Trying to dodge it is incredibly inconsistent when servers can stun you from miles away, and grabs nearly never work.
Added onto that is when there's 2+ lockers and I'm already wasting a lot of time just finding the one you're in.
Uhh what? It's easy to avoid. It can be baited as soon as you know they have it. Add to that it still works inconsistently at best.
@Hopesfall or it's just a ridiculous perk that's fun to try and make work.

I’m not sure haha! Just didn’t wanna assume everyone’s goal was to be toxic. Maybe when trying to heal with inner strength but you just don’t have the time?
My current build is Q&Q, Inner Strength, Head On, and Spine Chill. The first three combo great. They help you slip away and heal up.
-
Literally nobody is asking for a Myers nerf. It's not alot of fun facing infinite T3 Myers. But honestly it's that teams fault he got there.
-
Where to begin?
First of all, considering the teammates you get alot of the time it's not as easy as many like to claim.
Secondly, many survivor mains, myself among them have called for numerous killer buffs.
Third: the I get tunneled every match is no different then the people who claim the face nothing but 4 man swf. In other words, it's bullshit. It happens more then most of us would like. But not that damn much.
Fourth: Balancing around the minority is a bad idea.

You’re going out of the way to make the game annoying for the killer, I’d assume that’s why. There are a small percent who use it legitimately but most use it to be toxic.
What is in your mind using it legitimately? I think it's a fun perk from both sides.

Seriously...there is times when all you deserve is a 3k because the gens were done and you couldn’t stop the last guy from opening a well deserved gate. Or even if they find the hatch that’s fair enough. BUT why the hell does the freaking hatch spawn when the survivors did littearly 0%of their ONLY objective (which could be done insanely quickly especially with new ruin) and still escape. Even if you are the one who finds the hatch first the game still gives a chance to the last potato and powers the gates, and most of the time you get there it’s already opened and you see the last trashbag survivor tbaging at the gate like they won, but again they did freaking NOTHING. A game where the killer completelly dominates (which is thanks to the survivors being bad) shoulnd never end with anyone escaping. They littearly get TWO more chances to get away and it’s just dumb. I advise that, the hach should only spawn from 2 gens like before. Being able to close it was not a trade off but necesarry. There is no reason for it to spawn when nothing is done.
I don't necessarily disagree. But what do you want for that scenario instead? If you try to force two gens to be completed first the last survivor can just hold the game hostage. EGC could just start I guess.
-
How was he fun? He had to use his power in order to become an M1 killer.
-
I don't think he should get an increased number that he can carry. He should start with all his traps though.

Never really understood peoples thought pattern regarding Franklin's when it comes to keys. If you plan on using the key later on and the killer has Franklins... a smart thing to do is just stash it away in a spot you (and your SWF team if any) knows of. As far as tunneling the key holder, unless they brought an addon to keep the key, the key itself remains in play. I've seen plenty of survivors escape using their dead teammate's key, and I've done it myself as well.
I don't really get it myself. I might use it for toolboxes. That'd be it thought.

It is always ok to gen rush. It is the primary objective for survivors, I mean, what else are they supposed to do? Hide in a corner?
I’m not a fan of how fast Moris can end a game for survivors, they need to be reworked or completely removed from the game as long as the same is done for keys. Mori animations should be implemented as an alternative to death hooking someone.
I agree. I'm just taking a little shot because it's usually that kind of person who complains about gen rushing.
@PyroGL I somewhat agree. But I don't feel the OP was robbed as they put it. It's just some really bad luck. We've all had those games where we get blindsided. I do agree people need to stop telling everyone to just run Franklin's or bring a Mori. Honestly keys and Mori's need reworked at this point.

The amount of toolboxes, the perks they run, none of that matters. What matters is how they play. The survivor, though they don't have many, still have other objectives to choose from. Cleanse some totems, search a chest, find the injured player and heal them, sabotage some hooks in the area, go for unhooks, move to a different generator to break up the 3 gen group. If you've done all the totems and chests and nobody is dead yet then by all means finish the gens and get out. You've given this guy as much of a chance as he's given you by not tunneling.
If he starts tunneling then for the sake of the guy being tunneled, rush the gens as fast as you can. He gave up that right to not be genrushed when he started tunneling. Just like survivors give up their right to not be tunneled when they start genrushing.
You can only sabo hooks if you have a toolbox. And killers get angry if you sabo the hooks. As for the other stuff. I and most other survivors do those things. But they don't take much time. That's why I say you can't call it gen rushing without at least a couple of toolboxes. I suppose you could say if nobody heals. All they do is unhook and work gens. That would also be gen rushing.

Dude just play ok? Who knows the kind of killer your gonna face. Killers face camp, tunnel, and bring whichever mori that allows instant kills without having to hit or hook. I dont know anyone who consistently cannot kill at least one or two people each game, but as a survivor its a literal roll of the dice. You may go four or five games without escaping so I honestly dont understand what all the fuss is about. I feel like killers want easy kills and survivors want easy wins. And in the middle somewhere are people like me both killers and survivors who just play and let the dice fall.
I do. I was just taking a shot at that persons ridiculous position.

You should have taken note of the keys and brought in a Mori and tunneled the key holders to death. They want to find the hatch for an easy, short escape, give yourself an easy fast kill.
It was your fault they got away.
I see anyone with keys or tool boxes, I’ll make sure they die ASAP unless they’re pro loopers, then I’ll target weaker people to lure them away from the strong loops. Don’t want to be tunneled? Don’t bring in game shortening items.
So if the killer brings a Mori it's acceptable to gen rush right?
