And how many people it seems to have made upset, because those were probably the same ones flaming in end game chat that they forced Killer to depip when they got stomped.

Thank-you Dev's, you did an excellent job.

And the people who love it are the toxic players who abuse the rules in the first place. they then disguise it by saying "well as killer I can..." Like being a bad sport during game is made up by saying GG at the end. Their also the same people who complain about losing Ruin, and wanting survivor perks like DS and HO nerfed out of existence. the game rewards the toxic players and punishes the rest.

But who cares they got out and got to go into a new game, not sit around being bullied for 15+ minutes. A killer is hardly screwing them out of too many bloodpoints, they can still farm chase points if he afk's not facing the wall, do totems, gens, etc... you can at least protect your pip. I would say a mori instantly meaning a de-pip most of the time is even worse and that is a base item in the game.

Either punish everyone equally or allow ways out equally, favoritism is what is "absurd".

There are 5 totems and 5 gens max to do. The only other things they can do for points are play in the basement for 10 minutes, sabo hooks if they have a toolbox. Without chase, or hits, you are depriving them of 8k altruism, about 3k survival, 5+k boldness. You can easily cost them 16k points by doing nothing but sitting in a corner. Sure the game "Could" last a half hour, but it isn't worth it and survivors already know it.The points are already in the killers favor. In a bad game as killer where no one dies, I can still easily walk out with 25k points (50k BP with Chili), and usually beat out 3 of 4 survivor scores.

You can stand in the corner and do nothing. Survivors can run next to you and you will get survivor found points, chase points and more. You can stand in the corner the entire game and for doing absolutely nothing, you can still walk out with 5k points. A survivor doing absolutely nothing but standing in a corner, ends up hooked and will only get 100 to 200 pts.

So no, your arguement is invalid in putting that on the survivor. They can balance the toxicity out by locking down character names, making them unique, and letting all players see each other. I don't need to see the killer(freddy, gorgon, nurse, etc), but if I see player name "IFarmSalt" as the killer again, I'd leave the lobby before geting stuck in an agonizing match with him again. Let your reputation follow you.

Not every one, but you should have gotten your matchmaking and ranking systems fixed first. That was an even bigger and more problematic issue and should have been dealt with first and foremost.

It also feels a bit unfair that a killer is stuck being bullied all game by much higher ranked groups, while survivors not happy can just go die on a hook and go look for a new game with no penalty. That doesn't seem overly fair to me. Like the equivalent would be if a killer went afk and let survivors do whatever and just leave, and you apparently allow reports and bans for that, so why is hook suicide okay?

This is absurd at it's core. Survivors don't want to be stuck in a game with a toxic killer as much as much as a killer doesn't want stay in a game with toxic survivors. As killer though you can go hide in a corner and screw the players out of 1000's of points by not chasing, hitting, hooking, where as a survivor finding out the killer is toxic, is now having to award him more points by committing suicide on the hook to get out.

I do agree that it's important to understand why people are disconnecting, but at the same time, waiting until every possible annoyance is gone before enforcing them is not viable. We can only change so much in an update, and making sweeping changes to the whole game can take years.

But more importantly, there are quite a few times where people disconnect for no reason (or petty reasons). I've had people get caught out of position, dead hard into a tree, and then disconnect because they went down. I've had people disconnect because they chose to bring a hex perk and it got cleansed before they could use it. I've even had a Legion disconnect on me after failing to catch me at a Z wall. I'd love it if people only disconnected when they needed to, don't get me wrong, but in reality, there's a lot of people out there who will disconnect over petty things or arbitrary rules that they have set for themselves.

While there's no doubt that people disconnecting over stupid mistakes is on them, you haven't addressed those who abuse those rules to their advantage, destroying the fun for others. a killer who downs his first victim, gets crowded by the 3 other survivors when trying to get his first hook and the downed gets away. He continues on only to have it happen on the next as well.

How about the survivor who is being face camped by the killer on first hook? or being tunneled? How about the killer that just slugs everyone and doesn't bother to hook anyone, instead he just sits and looks at them until they bleed out minutes later?

there is plenty of toxic behavior and rules being abused and you haven't addressed it. You are not punishing toxic play, or even preventing it. Instead you are rewarding it. When are you going to address that?

  • No,

    Game is still very buggy,

Issues that were supposed to be fixed prior to DC punishments still exist. Action bug where survivor gets stuck in position but invulnerable to all external actions, including EGC. Someone has to disconnect to end the match. Response from Admins on this now is "It's only a small punishment" like players should be punished for their bugs.

Too many toxic killers and survivors playing 1 round to the next. The only response is "Well they're playing by the rules..." Because abusing the rules isn't a thing obviously.

Dedicated Servers have proven to worsen game play. For example, killers are still able to hit through windows where the survivor jumps and landed on a lower level. Killers is in the grab animation with a survivor when gen pops and survivor is now running away.

Sound bugs where killers can't here the wimpering of a downed survivor at their feet. Or a killer's (think Bubba, Trapper, etc.) Terror radius activates as they hit you.

Why dont all survivors just run DS, BT, DH and Adren/Unbreak ?

Excluding not owning the DLC's obviously.

Personally im not try hard enough to do it, I know how powerful it is but in my years of gaming I have found many many MANY players do gravitate towards that which just gives them the biggest advantage.

So yeah, why dont you run that build all the time?

Not a fan of DH myself, but sub in BL or lithe. The rest is pretty spot on for my build. I don't honestly care for the build though but it has become more necessary as more and more killers are gravitating to tunneling, slugging, camping. Without these perks, your chances of survival go way down.

I'd rather run SC, Botany, Streetwise, Empathy.

Just ######### on the hook then if it's so toxic and unbearable while three gens pop 😂

And there is that entitled arguement that pathetic killers always accuse survivors of having. If I felt you were absolute garbage the first time, why should I even be forced to play you again? I shouldn't be forced to give a pathetic killer his points for his toxicity by killing myself on the hook. He hasn't earned it, he only ruines the game, and I and others are forced to deal with him. That is the issue that should have been addressed. Instead they handed killers a reward for their toxic, game destroying behavior.

  • @DisappointedUser said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1083670#Comment_1083670

I'm confused here. You're saying Killers are toxic? I'll just assume you never play killer and believe that a Killer downing you is toxic, as what you're saying doesn't make any sense.

You obviously are new and dont understand toxic game play. a Ghostface downs a survivor and just tbaggs until almost dead or dead instead of just hooking them. A Bubba who basement camps. A Nurse who flashes away from a chase to tunnel the 1st person that just got unhooked. All of these and other doing similar are examples of pure toxic behavior of killers.

1st game I played yesterday was against a bubba who tunneled me off the hook twice, hooking me 3 times before anyone else. It sucked for a round, but it was first game so I felt with the disgusting behavior and moved on. 2 rounds later I face another Bubba and popped in inside his terror radius. Before I can even hide, he's found me and about 20 second later, I'm down and hooked, but hey, that's just a bad break. About 30 second later, Bubba is outside terror radius, just hit another survivor and I get hooked. Instead of continuing his chase, he leaves and comes back after me. No heals, no BT, just off the hook and have to run. Another survivor takes a hit during the chase but he still won't leave me. Finally downs me and I dc, funny enough I wasn't the first to DC. Take a look, same Bubba as the first game. 1st time sucked, 2nd time he is still being a prick, and neither I nor the others on my team were having fun. Game ends shortly after with 1 suicide on hook 1 finding the hatch.

Behavior like this needs to be addressed. Being stuck in a game where the only thing you can do is forced on you by the killer, that's toxic. Address the reason for the disconnects, before you start punishing for them. Otherwise it's just a double punishment and people will quit.

Fyi, about 1/3rd of my playtime is killer. Anyone who's played for any amount of time knows that if you want blood points, play killer. Chili, plus Deviousness, hook everyone only once and you will walk out with more BP than survivors.

  • Well, here's your killer buff you all have been complaining about. You can now be as toxic as you want to survivors and they have no choice but to deal with an absolutely horrid round you've made it, or deal with constantly increasing queue times. Talk about throwing a bandaid on a gaping wound, this does not address the reason for the disconnects, only punishes you for doing so.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1081362#Comment_1081362

Well I don't play killer much these days. And every game is abusing these perks cuz I'm the one abusing them lol.

DS. You can't tunnel the first guy if you were ending a Chase and hooking someone else. Tunneling is based on the term tunnel vision. And if the killer is spreading out his kills then he doesn't have tunnel vision.

As for this being useless. It's not. If the killer truly has tunnel vision it will help. And if it worked the way I said, it should work for every hook and not just once per match.

BT... There are opportunities to save from a camping killer. In reality BT I don't think was made for a facecamper. The counter to a facecamper is the deranking of a facecamper. If you facecamp regularly you won't stay in high ranks long. Also. Chances are if they are so close that you can't get in there with regular sprinting. Sprint burst probably isn't going to help either.

However, BT counters proxy camping pretty nicely. And being able to hold shift to give someone an extra hit will help counter proxy camping. BT also helps counter the issue you said with DS where the killer hooks one and goes for the recently unhooked. BT is there for that. And in my idea. Terror radius isn't a factor. So... You can give BT to anyone if you so choose.

These are just my thoughts. The perks still counter tunneling and hitting right off hooks. But at more cost to the survivor. Devs are all about "free rewards for no work" being removed. Such as old ruin. So the same should be for survivor. If you want to unhook someone and make them invincible for a little while. It should cost you your beloved exhaustion to do so. In my opinion. Then again. I don't run BT. I run the other toxic perks cuz I'm better at using them to their fullest.

If you are the one abusing them, then maybe you should stop and then watch how matches go.

As for Tunnel vision, It doesn't meant the killer won't go after someone else, while you're hooked. The problem is while the killer is in a chase, has hit (or has exposed or chainsaw, etc.) and is about to down someone when you get unhooked, He will down them, hook them, then immediately come back to you. Essentially playing ping pong between just those 2 survivors. He won't give a crap about the other 2. This is still tunneling, the only reason why he will target those 2 at that the first was on the hook longer than the killer expected and can see he now has 2 he can bounce between. I can guarantee you, if that 2nd person wasn't hit, or he couldn't get them down in 1 shot, He will return to the hook immediately to go after the first.

As for borrowed time, The other person said it best, with how many clutch perks used to save yourself, HO, BL, Lithe, etc, adding exhaustion to a perk designed to help your teammate is overkill. you're forcing the choice, Do I bring something to save others, or something to save myself? The fact that these perks can work in Synergy, isn't something that should be punished. If you do start punishing these, then you know survivors will want any killer synergy perks nerf'ed as well. No using Dying Light with Thanataphobia, Agitation, with Iron Grasp, etc.

Faulting the perks design for your abuse of them isn't the issue that needs to be addressed, The reason these perks were put in is the issue that should be addressed. Again, If the number of camping/tunneling killers dropped dramatically, the need for these perks to be in the build in the first place would be gone. Survivors will use more than "Meta" perks during the match and it will probably be more fun for all. Personally I'd like to go back to using Self Care, Botany, Streetwise, Empathy, and run around with a med kit healing. but so many camping, tunneling killers in the game, I must regularly run BT, DS, Lithe(or BL,HO, etc), and Unbreakabill, WMI, or Iron Will.

  • Ds - your change would effectively make the perk useless for a majority of the matches. More often then not, as soon as the killer gets into a chase is when another survivor goes to make the save. Often times the 1st survivor has just been unhooked with the next survivor going down very shortly after. Hooks aren't spread that far apart and usually are hooked only a second or 2 later. I more often see killers immediately to tunnel the first guy, than I see survivors abusing the perk. If you are going to make a change like this, then what do you do about these killers? To give survivors a fair chance? You take that away, then you best have a solution for that.

BT - again you are killing the use of the perk by adding another penalty to it. If you have that ohh so lovely camper killer, sometimes that speedboat in to make the save is all you have to get them out. So what so you do about the campy killer?

I won't deny tha th the perks can be abused, but as a survivor, I've played more rounds with camping and tunneling killers than with survivors who abuse perks. The best fix you can get to the perks is do something about the killers who make these perks almost mandatory.

With the amount of times loops can take up, it is entirely possible 3 gens will pop when playing against Solo's.

And I'm not denying that. I'm denying it being a gen rush, survivors primary goal is gens. Separated load ins and no gen pressure is to blame for those 3 gens popping. SWFs make an organized effort to get them done is a gen rush. From the killer side, it is there decision on how to go after survivors. Choosing to tunnel is completely on you, just as the SWF chooses and organizes a gen rush.

  • @Pulsar said:

I can absolutely confirm that I only tunnel when I feel pressured.

Gen rushing and tunneling are the same thing. Both sides efficiently doing their objective. Why punish one but not the other?

I have to disagree. Gen rushing is harder to prove since it takes coordination between all 4 survivors. In a SWF, sure, but against solo's,they just spawned separately and hit gens. If you didn't pressure them off, several will get done at once.

Killer's objective is to kill, isn't it?

I'm pointing out how dumb that argument is. The game should be fun for both sides and stuff, like ebony's and DS, that make it unfun need to go.

I get tour point, but your comparison is a joke. You dont need a Mori to win.

That being said, you do need something to survivors for killers that tunnel like there's no tomorrow. Removing DS ruins the fun for not only the for the one tunneled but the rest of the team as well. So while you want it removed, you will need to find some way to give survivors a chance against this playstyle.

  • @Pulsar said:

As long as they can run gens as they like, Ebony Mori's are fine.

You see how bad that argument is?

I'm sorry, are you trying to compare the survivors primary objective, necessary to escape, with a rare offering that killers don't have to use to win as being somehow equal?? You're right, you do sound absolutely ridiculous.

Ah yes, I can totally predict when the game will give the Survivor a key and I’ll waste a single perk slot just for that one specific situation.

Also it’s the other way around. There’s actually not that many people playing Killer. Survivor queue times are increasing.

Yeah, I know not being able to predict when a killer is going to tunnel you down to know to bring DS for it! You should always bring DS! Oh wait, you said keys and franklins... umm... awkward!

Where did I say it was okay for anyone to treat anyone else like garbage? I actually said the opposite in the very first line of my comment. I'm also not a killer main and I don't treat anyone like garbage, so I have no idea why you're speaking in the second person throughout your reply.

"...and just because someone wasn't nice to you doesn't mean it's okay for you to retaliate in kind..."

while you were a little more polite about it, I was a little more aggressive about it. I do believe people should be treated with a certain amount of respect. but if someone is being disrespectful, I'd expect someone to say something about it. I used the "you" as in not yourself, but as short for any sweaty killer or survivor. The worse you are, the worse they're probably going to tell you off about it.

I do aim this more at killers because, as not being in a SWF, I constantly hear "Well if you didn't gen rush..." as an excuse. If it was SWF, yeah maybe you were gen rushed, BUT non-SWF doesn't have open channels. The match just happened to start with all survivors separated, and probably near gens. No coordination, Primary task to do gens and 3 pop between 60 and 80 seconds in, that's not being Gen rushed, thats the killer not applying pressure. This will happen more than killers want to admit and use it as an excuse to be extra sweaty I've been in matches that plain and simply sucked because the killer applied 0 pressure to the gens, tunneled the living hell out of the 1st person he found to death, and it cost him all 5 gens. After the match, he said he was gen rushed. The game lasted less 10 minutes total. We tried to break him from tunneling, he didn't care. so we did gens, cleaned all 5 totems, and opened the door, and pointed that out to him. He stated we were being toxic by running into him, following him around... umm, he tunneled the same person because we were trying to get him NOT to tunnel...???? He then claimed, and this is ridiculous, because "you all came in with all meta perks" like he knew what perks we had to begin with. I find it ridiculous because I never considered Botany a meta perk. To top it all off, he then stated he tunneled because we "Broke all the totems, making NOED useless." How do you answer that? don't tunnel, don't camp, go after others, and apply pressure? Sure we won, we got out with only 1 death, and we were all BORED because he wanted to tunnel. As I stated, games are meant to be fun for ALL, that game wasn't for anyone.

That being said, I do play killer as well, and I do find that a bunch of survivors that constantly follow with flashlights, crowd the first hook, block you entirely, while t-bagging, just to grief is just as sweaty and also not needed. It is supposed to be fun and there are objectives to do, there is no need to be a douche about the whole thing.

  • @Fibijean said:

Personally, I think that humans should show some regard for other humans, and just because someone wasn't nice to you doesn't mean it's okay for you to retaliate in kind. Some people value courtesy and sportsmanship less than others.

Having said that, I would never expect someone not to try to win. So I don't consider employing effective strategies, like tunneling and looping, a problem, as long as you're using them to win and not just to be a jerk.

This is a double standard. It's ok for "you" to treat others like garbage but they can't treat "you" the same? If you don't respect your opponent, there is no reason for them to respect you, nor should they. These tactics, tunneling, camping, slugging, infinite looping, ruin the game for at least one person. It is simply not enjoyable. It is a game, it's meant to be fun for all who play.

The bigger problem I see with killers is 0 accountability. If your idea of fun is making sure others don't, then I say all player names need to be locked down and revealed in the beginning. That way you can be as sweaty of a killer you want to be, and I can decide if I want to play against you again.

  • I misunderstood what you were saying there. Still though, I don't think it will provide enough pressure. I think it having 2 locks to unlock though will. Outside of still needing to search at least 2 boxes, Since the first box isn't always likely to have the key, this will force checking 3 boxes more often.

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1062232#Comment_1062232

Ok but between the 2 further boxes each of them only has a 33% chance of having the key. Even if the odds of one of them is 66%, that doesn't help you figure out which box to check. Since ANY combination of 2 boxes at this point is 66%.

The monty hall problem works because you have 3 options when you make your first decision, but only 2 when you have the option to change or not.

However here, you still have 3 options both before and after you could change.

If you pick a door in monty hall, are shown nothing, and randomly decide to pick one of the other 2 doors you didn't initially choose then your odds haven't gone up.

I saw my flaw, I forgot that once you picked, Monty would show you one of the 2 that was wrong. At that point, since your first pick was only 33% correct, the other by default was 66% more likely to be correct.

  • @TAG said:

If 66% of the time, you have a 50% chance on the next two boxes, that means that .66 * .50 = .33 = 33% chance.

I missed a variable making my point moot. Question though, Do you know what that variable was?

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

in this case though the "door" is decided for you. 4 boxes around the map and the 1st box is empty. the 2nd box is the closest box you would go to, but this box will be wrong 66% of the time. It's a forced pick. You're better off skipping the closet and moving to the further 2 boxes.

    @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1062232#Comment_1062232

If you know you have a 66% chance of the closest box being wrong, that doesn't mean that you have a 50% chance of one of the other two boxes being right. In order for you to get the right box, you have to both correctly guess that the closest box is wrong (66% chance of being correct) and then win the next coinflip (50%). But you won't know that your first guess was right/wrong until you either find the key in one of the other two boxes or you don't. This brings the odds of correctly guessing the right box at 33% for guess #2 and 50% for guess #3, which is the same as how it currently. The only difference is that the odds of guessing the right box on guess #1 is 0% (vs. 25% currently) because the odds would be rigged for the first attempt.

Tag, As i noted, 66% of the time, you have a 50% chance on the next to boxes. That's why it's not 50% likely you will get it second shot, but still significantly higher than 33%. You have a defining starting point on the map with your option, the 1st box. 3 boxes left and the distance is different to each box. This is why people go to the closest box. With a defining starting point though, You are guaranteed that the closest box is only correct 33% of the time, making the choice to go to the further boxes better.

Based on %'s I can't say difinitively that forcing the 1st fail won't guarantee more time, but it won't provide as much as you would expect.

That could work if they choose to give the trap 3 locks, each box contains a key once you have the 3 keys you can get it off.

That could work, but that I think is putting too much pressure on the survivors. You are forcing 3 boxes to be checked guaranteed every time. Maybe 2 locks though...

The Monty Hall problem requires you to learn which of the remaining three boxes is definitely wrong after you make your choice from among those three boxes.

Not really, Once you have used the 1st box, the choice is made. by default the next box people choose is the closest box. With that being the case, the closest box will be wrong 66% of the time. You're better off going to one of the further boxes.

  • @TAG said:

You're going to have to better explain what you are saying because you're not making a ton of sense.

It's the Monty Hall problem (Or the Let's Make a Deal mistake). In the original show, a contestant would have the choice between 3 doors, 1 having the best prize, other 2 being ehh. you choose a door, then you are given the option to keep or change for one of the other 2 doors. Those who change to another door won more often than those who didn't. This made a big difference when it came to prizes because they were based on contestants winning 33% of the time. they instead were winning above 40%

By forcing the 1st box empty, it would mean the key can't spawn in a box until the first is done. By default, you hit a box, then naturally go to the next closest, and so on. but here's the thing, If the key spawns after 1st box, what are the chances the next blosest box will be correct? 33%, which means you have a 66% chance of it being wrong. You improve your odds by skipping the closest and going to the next. Chances are better it will be in the next 2 boxes, where you 2/3rds of the time, you have a 50% chance of being correct. With that being the case, you have dramatically improved your chances of findind the key on the 2nd chance than any anything else. With the key spawning on 1st box, you have a 25% chance of being correct, and 33% on the second/ in this case, you can't skip the first 2 boxes because you have a 50/50 chance of it being in those first 2. Ultimately by forcing the 1st box to fail is increased the chances of finding it on the 2nd box. you may find that overall, the time you gain by forcing the 1st empty, is lost by many more are finding it on the 2nd and third.

It's confusing math which is why I recommend reading up on it to see the overall %'s.

    1) It's 4 boxes base kit, not 5.

    2) Reducing 25% chance to 0% will make a difference in the long term.

My mistake, but that makes it worse for killers, it takes out a sizable chunk of randomness from it. 1st box is an auto fail, which leave you with 3 boxes. Chances are the 2 and box will fail as well. Skip that and go to the last 2 will have a better chance of being correct. If you want to see what I mean, look up Let's make a deal paradox on google.

I disagree. Ruin is too strong to be a regular perk, but too weak for a Hex perk.

This is where my idea comes in.

A Hex that affects all survivors' generator repair progress. All generators are affected by Hex: Ruin. While a generator is not being repaired by a survivor, it will immediately and automatically regress repair progress at 150%/175%/200% of the normal regression speed.

Once the related Hex totem is destroyed, Hex: Ruin will no longer regress generators automatically. You must damage generators to apply this effect towards generators.

Thanks to @NMCKE for the formatting.

As a hex perk it is easily cleansed before end game, often times before it gets close to having an effect. How about, taking out the hex part and add in "Will only affect the last 2, 3, 4 generators touched."

This would weaken it for early game while making it more effective end game.

I'd rather find a better way to make the boxes a bit harder than add-ons that could theoretically have a minimal impact if enough Survivors are lucky with their boxes. Hence why I am in favor of making first box auto-fail.

I get that but at the same time, I don't believe that an auto fail on first box will make a big difference. With 5 boxes, you have a 20% chance of getting it right. On average 1 survivor in 4 out of 5 games will get it right first shot. Taking that away doesn't provide a consistent improvement. Yes, there are games where they all get it right on first, but just as many on last. As a survivor main, I've only hit it 1st time maybe 3 or 4 times total.

  • I think peanits answered it perfectly, only one box has the key. It really does come down to the player picking correctly. If you want to ma kg e it harder, just use the addons to add boxes.

  • You're kidding right? It's a % chance all ready. To remove it and force multiple boxes is just greedy. And if you want to force that, I'd say force no need to hit all 5 boxes either.

  • 4 purple mist offerings is 3 wasted. 1 purple mis th is max the game will allow.

A list of words that you still need to learn the definition of. I've noticed that you use of these words inadequately a lot.

    1. Entitled

    2. Toxic

    3. Complain(ing)

This list will continue to update as I see fit.

Dude, you're still at it. Stop complaining, stop posting and bugger off. No one cares about your entitled list creation. No one cares about what you have to say and you aren't contributing anything. Your sitting there acting like a valley girl. "Ohh my God! You're like so immature! Like grow up already!" Let the p oh st die already.

Now that, is a shining example of Toxicity. If you've ever wondered what it actually is, look at this specifically.

"SALTY CHILDREN OF THE CORN MAP DBD will SEND you a message on your console LOL.

    THAT NEEDS TO BE STOPPED."

These are your words being used against you. You came here complaining, got called out, tried to deny you were complaining, proven wrong, and now you are COMPLAINING about it. This isn't me being toxic, this is you complaining.

"All your posts have been nothing but attack survivors, and yes you've attacked me as well. Your pathetic for even trying to call me out on that."

Yeah, because it pisses me off to see little entitled survivors like you run around the forums and push your bs around. Your last reply didn't address any of my previous points with any actual arguement at all besides ad-homenen attacks. Thats what I was trying to get at. At most, a misinterpretation of an analogy.

"So you would be the garbage player no one wants to play against, chess or dbd. Winning is the goal, the challenge is the enjoyment. The important point of ANY game is the enjoyment."

Umm, hello? DBD is a competitive multiplayer game. You're playing against other players. You should be able to use any strategy to your advantage to win. Camping and tunneling are S.T.R.A.D.E.G.I.E.S to acomplish this in DBD. You shouldn't be playing multiplayer games like DBD if you have a problem with not having enjoyment from competition. Single player or Co-op games seem more like your alley.

Edit: It's not healthy to speak for others and to make assuptions about people.

"Since you like my analogies so much, I'm sure you'll love this one, Football. Your play style is like the Patriots. you'll deflate that ball to secure your victory. Good job! Me, I'll take the Giants. Sure they don't always win, but they kicked the Patriots ass."

Oh look, you've managed to misuse another analogy. Deflating a football in the NFL isn't part of the rules, and wasn't supposed to happen. That was cheating if anything else, and thats why Tom Brady got punished for it. You can't compare Tunneling and Camping to cheating. Don't believe me? BHVR themselves said they were fair strategies.

"ROFL! This wouldn't be a discussion if you were. You are here complaining about SURVIVORS!"

I'm not complaining about survivors, I'm arguing with another entitled survivor.

"I'm not complaining about survivors, I'm arguing with another entitled survivor"

"SALTY CHILDREN OF THE CORN MAP DBD will SEND you a message on your console LOL.

I'm a survivor main and i think that the new ruin is pretty ass. I'm a red ranked survivor and the gens go bye bye in literally less than 2-3 minutes. It's unfun for both survivor and killer because the games go by so fast so we can't really do anything lol. I get why the devs nerfed it because it had a positive and negative impact on matches and it made it easier for newer players but like if we learned to combat ruin i'm pretty sure they could too. Since the ruin nerf survivor queues have been longer than before the ruin nerf and its probably because killers don't want to load into a match and then get gen rushed 2 seconds later. Please bring old Hex: Ruin: back.

I think the main problem with new ruin isn't the gen rush, but how easy it is to remove it. I would rather see her totems be harder to find and longer to clean (it is on fire), than to return old ruin. This does force killers to c hgv angel their tactics still, you need to patrol gens more, but the difference if a killer does it right can keep a game going long enough to secure a 3k or 4k still, while still rewarding survivors for getting more gens done.

I've noticed with gens completing faster, it's easier for survivors to 3 and 4gen themselves as they just completed too quick to look. Once they've 3gen'd themselves, it's not hard at all to patrol them, watch them drop below 25% before worrying about chasing them again.

"I've played killer PLENTY. You assuming I haven't shows just how bad you are."

Well, there's no argument here anymore. All I see are personal attacks at this point, instead of any attempt to diswade my previous points. It almost hard to believe that you play killer at all, considering how idiotic your reply is. But what do I know.

"Unlike you, I prefer a challenge"

I'm glad that you like to play the game your own way. Don't impose on me though. I have my own playstyle.

"You just look for the easy way out."

If 'face-camping" and tunneling were the easy way out, then everybody would be using those strats. The killers who face-camp are the ones who are struggling the most. I guarantee you if you ask anyone who plays killer and face-camps if they enjoyed their experience, that they would say they didn't. Most of the time of why it occurs in the first place is because the survivors are on the verge of escaping and the killer needs to secure at least one or two kills before the match ends. So no, it's not "looking for the easy way out."

"You give killers a bad rap, and you are doing nothing more than destroying the game."

Too bad you don't have anyway to prove it. Maybe some hard evidence that correlates 'face-camping' or 'tunneling' to the lack of participation in the game. Otherwise, this is just childish statement made by a naive individual.

"Of course you dont care about your opponent, their points, or how you treat them."

I would refer you to the chess analogy again, for when I'm playing a game of chess, I'm not going to just let them steamrole me. If the game has been too easily in my favor, I may give the other side a break. But DBD and and chess together are competitive games, where the majority of enjoyment comes from the fight for victory. Nothing else is more important. That's my personal opinion, and others will have their own. I only grind for bloodpoints and let the survivors win at times so I can make myself a stronger killer player in the end.

"So why should they treat you any different?"

I'm not the one that's complaining about camping and tunneling. That's on you.

"Well, there's no argument here anymore. All I see are personal attacks at this point,"

Well, I pretty much saw this coming to be honest. Guess I have to tell you the same thing I've told every other entitled survivor.

If.. You're.. Being.. Camped.. Then Stop Being Selfish and only considering your experience as a survivor. The killer is making the decision to waste time watching you. Have everyone else finish the gens so they can escape, even if it means taking one for the team. In fact, why don't you run kindred so you help your team out while you're sitting on the hook? Too selfish to care about your teammates? Maybe you shouldn't play survivor then, the killer role fits you better.

"You are the One acting entitled when you claim you can play how you want."

It's a video game. I don't need to respect your entitled survivor rulebook. Plus, there's a lot of other people who agree with me that it's not.

If you played killer once ever, you would realize that the killer's goal is to kill and eliminate as many survivors as possible. If that means doing it one at a time because the survivors are stupid enough to wait around a hook, then so be it. If the killer knows that a hook rescue is inbound, he should stop that rescue. Why? Because it effects his goal of sacrificing the survivors.

Do I care about your points? No. Go complain to BHVR if you don't like the bloodpoint system. My ultimate goal is to win games. Never did I say that I camp to stop the survivors from earning bloodpoints.

I've played killer PLENTY. You assuming I haven't shows just how bad you are. Unlike you, I prefer a challenge. You just look for the easy way out. No you're here crying "I can play how I want and you can't say nuthin about it!" It shows you think you are entitled. You give killers a bad rap, and you are doing nothing more than destroying the game. No one wants to play against you and if they had the same choice at the start, you'd never get another game.

Of course you dont care about your opponent, their points, or how you treat them. So why should they treat you any different? Face camping is toxic, get over it l, and take your lumps like you deserve.

    1. Having a killer camp you at the hook and throwing the queen across the room are not the same. Camping a hook or tunneling a survivor and putting a queen to the side are the same. The only exception to this is if the killer is camping/tunneling you specifically to target you.

    2. Throwing a queen across the room and telling your opponent to suck it is equivalent to a survivor teabagging you at the exit gate or survivors being toxic in the end game chat.

    3. I know what entitled means, it usually has to do with people who complain about not having fun in a game because the opposing team didn't play to their advantage. Killers who complain that "survivors who use DS or BT ruin the game" are entitled. Survivors who complain that the killer camped them or tunneled them are entitled (Spoiler Alert, that kinda sounds like you).

You're bias against killers has you putting simple decisions like guarding a hooked survivor against rescues and tunneling survivors alongside insulting people's livelyhood in the same boat. You see the problem here?

You don't seem to get it at all, My throwing your queen across the screen is treating you like #########, ruining the enjoyment of the game for you. You camping the hook and tunneling is ruining the fun for the survivor. You are the One acting entitled when you claim you can play how you want.

By stating "guarding a hooked survivor against rescue" sound like you have a problem with

    image.png

and want to force point loss on all 4 survivors by being toxic. you want to remove 1/4th of the points survivors can earn. Lets make a deal. you want sruvivors to give up

    image.png

So I want you give up

    image.png

Sounds like a fair trade, Survivors can't heal or save, you can't hit or do damage. Don't want to give up Brutality, How about Hunter, or Sacrifice? You're forcing a choice by face camping, so lets take one from you.

It's a competitive game. Why would you, by your definition of 'respect', respect your opponent? You wouldn't let your opponent win in a game of chess by 'respecting' their queen. Killer should be allowed to use any tatic he wishes to win the game.

"You guys choose to use tactics that are just pure scummy, dirty, and kill the fun of the game for everyone else."

That's the kind of thing an entitled survivor would say.

"You guys are the true definition of entitled."

    Hypocrisy at it's finest.

That is not my definition at all. In a game of chess, if I can take your queen I will and set it to the side. What would be scummy is taking your queen and throwing it across the room and telling you to suck it. In DBD, that is what you are doing. You are choosing to disrespect your opponent and saying they can't disrespect you. THAT is hypocritical.

You should look up the definition of entitled. You obviously dont know it.

Its your opinion and I take it, my opinion is that there is no toxic killer tactic. I consider toxic cheating, exploiting or using bugs for example survivors using famous "hook tech" that is still working and many survivors is still doing it. My job as killer is not provide fun for opposite side.

That is where you are wrong. The game is designed for 4 players to play against 1 player. It has set goals and set objectives. It relies on both sides to entertain each other. The problem is, you choose not to. You choose to entertain yourself at their expense, then expect them to just take it, say nothing. Games aren't about your fun but everyones, and you are ruining that.

I'm sure you think I'm saying you should let them do what survivors want. I'm not. This game is meant to be thrilling, challenging, scary, and yes survivors expect you will probably kill them. The thing is, you provide none of that. Face camping, tunneling, is not fun for survivors, it's not thrilling, or challenging for anyone. Its destructive to the game. Like it or not, you deserve anything they tell you.

If anything, your post shows just how salty YOU are about it, and I can guarantee you, those survivors are loving it. They cry after the match, you come here and cry about it. The best part about it, this will continue to happen to you game, after game, after game.

I earned my kills by normal tactics and I will not apologize for using allowed ways to kills. Its not my problem that survivors consider almost everything as "dirty". You will get verbaly attacked by almost everything - camping, tunneling, slugging, NOED, playing certain killers that are considered "OP" by survivors, so killer are forbidden to play all of this because survivors dont like it? I dont like survivor perks like BT, DS or Adrenalin and its not fun for me to play against it so its considered as "dirty" perks? Then all honorable survivors should stop use it but I see these perks every game and I must deal with that.

No, camping, tunneling, slugging is just toxic and ruins the game for survivor players, primarily those you do this to. You say you can do this, the game allows it, then I say you earned their wrath. Act like garbage, be treated like it.

This is a game, and like all games, it's meant to be enjoyed by all, not just by you.

  • @Livearth said:

Since ruin is ruined, the survivors have more chances to reach the endgame with 4 survivors alive and you right BT turns toxic asf.

At end game,it's not that it's toxic, it's the difference between 3 getting out and 4. At that point, it's clutch saves at high risk becausedurvivors dont have time to wait around once the doors have been opened. Toxic is early game unhooks right after you hook.

Its purely up to killer what way uses to achieve kills. Saying that camping or tunneling is dirty tactic or bannable is invented nonsense of entitled survivors. Using these "forbidden" tactics is not giving right to verbal attacks.

You guys choose to use tactics that are just pure scummy, dirty, and kill the fun of the game for everyone else. You use the excuse "legit tactics" then come here and complain about being treated like garbage in chat.... Wow, hello pot, meet kettle. You treated your opponent with utter contempt and disrespect, and expect to be thanked? You guys are the true definition of entitled.

  • I used to main doc all the time, lots of fun, and easier to find survivors in the beginning of a match. But as the match dragged on, I found treatment mode to be more detrimental, it only passively increased insanity and rarely mad ed survivors scream after stage 1. Removing treatment mode and adding static blast to me is more of a buff since you can now used it when y po u are ready and if survivors are in range, they will scream. As such, as a survivor, I hear people scream more than ever before, and it can easily push multiple survivors into tier 3 easier.

  • Did I miss something? I didn't see any newer changes set to come to doc...

If its removed before or during testing, it's just allowing you to say "We're still working on it" or worse "we've completed it and it's working beautifully" when little to no work was actually put into it. Please tell us you won't remove it until after we see it working and can use the ranks to assist in validating that claim.
