Haven't played it. Not even sure what it is.

I mean if I’m playing with teammates like that, we’re all going to get slaughtered anyway, so I might as well just move on to the next game.
At that point I just try to farm as many points before I die as I can.

Adrenaline is not a crutch perk, your potato is showing.
I don't consider any of them crutch perks. I'm going off the perks killers complain about the most.

During a time that Mori's didn't require a hook, and half the crutch perks were not even there. You're statement isn't really that strong.
Pretty sure DS, BT, DH, and Adrenaline all existed.

I think the devs arnt intentionally survivor sided they just don't play there game in red ranks there probably all rank 20s except maybe a few
I believe Peanits is red ranks. Though I could be mistaken. The other thing I think everyone seems to forget is red rank game play is not the only games that matter. Balancing around either high or low ranks is a mistake in my opinion.
-
It's honestly why I get so annoyed when killers complain the devs are survivor sided. If you look at where the game started to where it is now. It's clear they have made a ton of progress balancing the game. Which is not to say it has happened as fast as we'd have liked. Or that there isn't still progress that needs to be made. But they have come along way.

My favorite is when I run We’ll Make It, unhook someone, and follow them across the entire map only for them to start Selfish Caring in the corner.
I will actually DC if someone pulls that on me because as lowly of a life form I may be, I’m still too dignified to share dedicated servers with those absolute goblins.
While I don't agree with your DCing I laughed out loud at you calling them goblins.

I just addressed this in my most recent comment.
I don't disagree that there needs to be a secondary objective. I just think totems are not the way to go about it.

Many of his issues were misunderstandings.
So after reading our comments, do you still feel the same way?
The first post was a misunderstanding. The points raised about it weakening hex totems and harming inner strength users weren't.
-
While I don't dislike the idea, @twistedmonkey raised several issues. I'd add the pallet break bonus would be horrendous for survivors. Imagine a killer running Brutal Strength with all the totems still up. They'd shred pallets like they were nothing.

Rescuing teammates and finding gens is quick. Many survivors don't bother healing and if the healing is being done by a teammate or med-kit, it is pretty fast. Chests and bones are completely optional.
Yes these things can be relatively quick. But they all add up to time off gens. If a person is on a hook 1 or 2 people will come for the save. Leaving 1 or 2 people on gens. If the killer finds a person on a gen while another is on the hook. That's 1 or even 0 people on gens. All these things add time for the killer. Which is not to say early game doesn't need something to slow it down. It does. But that's why people trying to apply math to matches doesn't work. Too many variables.
-
No. Freddy is fine.
-
Unbreakable is fine. It's the risk you take every time you slug someone.

I think he might need a nerf with all the survivors dcing and complaining. He was annoying before but now he’s just annoying and strong. I get it’s fun as killer but as survivor it blows.
He's nowhere near as annoying as he was.
-
I would assume the thought process being that while bad matches through different variables will happen. The average will assign you to your proper matching. That said, as we don't know the criteria it's impossible to say how effective or not it will be.
-
Stop asking for survivor nerfs entitled killers. See I can do it to

They want to split each killer character into their own rank/skill queue too, so you will be judged on each killer and how you perform with them
Huntress - hatchet accuracy
Trapper - survivors caught in traps per game
Leatherface - Total basement time
etc
That sounds awful.

I hope you're kidding. That would be ridiculous.

@ClickyClicky said:
Lets just think about this for a moment...
1) Killers complain about being ranked with 10,000 hour elite looper survivors - You used to get these at green ranks. People simply didn't play enough to rank up.
2) Survivors complain about being put with potatoes - New rank reset allows people that aren't very good to boost to red ranks then jeopardize games.
Theoretically a new skill system would solve both killer and survivor complaints. The question is, can they pull it off? it's certainly an ambitious undertaking.
The better question is how are they calculating everyone's skill level?
-
I still don't see why you would not show ranks in the tally screen. Or at least the skill rating. If I get demolished I'd not feel as bad if I see they have a much higher rating.
-
So you want survivors who are trying to be nice and not run perks killers hate, to run the perks killers hate? I really don't get your logic here. You want every single survivor to run the exact same build. Do you really want the game to be that boring?
-
If it's clear they aren't going to be much of a threat I'll be nice and try to give them as many points as I can. I still kill them. But I try to make sure they get to play the game.
-
@NoShinyPony said:
A horror game will always lose more and more of its horror the longer you keep playing it. It's not necessary that survivors are afraid of killers.
We do have a problem though when we are at a point that killers are not considered opponents that have to be taken seriously, but fun providers that can be bullied.
You made the exact point I was going to.

Rank 1 killer and Rank 2 survivor, Xbox, Trapper and GF mains, Bill, Dwelf and Kate mains
The childish behaviour against each other is ruinning the game...
I played like 8 games as solo survivor last game, EVERY survivor with a toolbox including me, I take it off, I NEVER got tunneled and got post messages saying "thank you, you're a good person" in 4 out of the 8 games.
- I politely ask you, survivors, not to bring in more than 2 toolboxes per lobby as a help for killers not to use childish behaviours like lobby dodging, tunneling or face camping as a complain against Ruin nerf.
- I politely ask you, killers, not to lobby dodge, tunnel or face camp (this doesn't apply for toxic players who teabag) if you don't see more than 2 toolboxes in lobby.
We NEED the attention in the actual problems:
- Matchmaking
- Pipping sistem
- Maps
- Emblems sistem
- Clown, Legion and Bubba need a buff
Fighting each other doesn't fix anything, it just drives the gamers off the game... If you actually enjoy this game, we need to join forces, I'm rooting for both sides, where are you?
I pretty much agree with you here. The toolbox thing is a bit more dicey as there is a sabotage challenge in the Tome. But it would be nice if everyone could repair there is a person on the other end.
@BabyOniMain said:
That's what you get for Nerfing Ruin.
Ruin wasn't necessary to win, It was necessary to not be a dick to everyone. Now I see a lot of NOED and Moris as well. Killer just need to figure out Slugging build exist and we're golden.
Brilliant argument. Except survivors didn't nerf Ruin. Virtually nobody wanted it nerfed. Furthermore it is not needed in order to not play like a dick. That's your choice.

There’s absolutely no counter to it...you could say “just don’t tunnel” but even if you don’t that’s 60 seconds of immortality ..especially at endgame (also I play killer and survivor 50/50) all of my survivor builds have ds on it every single time because I realize how powerful of a perk it is..especially paired with unbreakable or even with head on or dead hard (I don’t think those perks are overpowered) I just think ds paired with certain perks makes it overpowered
I believe the 5 seconds counts the time dropping the survivor. I think it's closer to 3 from when they can start moving. As far as don't tunnel. Yeah I think Ds needs further tweaks to make it a bit more fair.

Yeah killers are not that good as they thought they were and survivors are gods for holding m1 ( r1 ) on gen without hex skill checks. When ruin was in old state, 70% ( or even more player ) couldn't even hit great skill check. Right?
I didn't say the survivors were any more skilled. I'm say Ruin helped carry alot of killers. Which gave them a false impression as to where their skill level was at.
-
They can't complain about your Noed but you can complain about their (God I hate this stupid term) "second chance" perks? Both sides have whiny little bitches. Just play the game ffs.

Feel like if DS only worked if ppl tunneled, youd have alot less grumbling about it. Ppl hate having to deal with chasing survivors off of gens or something that they arnt allowed to hook because even though that survivor is being productive, they got unhooked within 60 seconds. My personal thoughts on it is if you had time to be productive by doing gens, totems, unhooks, ect... You clearly werent being tunneled.
As far as moris go...
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/657/8SG81914DQSZ.jpg
I've been trying to unlock every perk on every killer, which results in alot of moris being in my Bloodwebs that I HAVE to buy where I would prefer that the entity eat them personally. The irony that killers are often deemed sweaty and all that all the time but realisticly... We could be using ebony moris aton more than we do. I only typically choose to burn one when a SWF thinks they're cute by picking 4 of the same character with identical skins. If I accidentally down the same person twice because I couldnt tell the difference... I'm not eating the DS.
I agree DS needs to be tweaked to not punish killers who are legitimately not tunneling.
Yeah the amount of Ebony Mori I have on Doc so soon is kinda nuts.
-
Both sides can be toxic. I'd say it's gotten worse since the Ruin nerf though.

The medkits actually got buffed, the only nerf was those 2 addons. The medkits heal other survivors much faster now. Agree on your point though.
They nerfed the speed addons as well.
As for the OP. While I agree that at least some killers were carried by Ruin. And are now mad because in reality they weren't as good as they thought. Gens do go too fast in general. And we need something added to the game to take some of that pressure off of killers.
-
I'd say it was a horrible idea if they have nothing else in store. They need to do something about the gen speed. Not increase the base time. A secondary objective. I don't understand why they pushed through the nerf without a something ready to be implemented.
-
Art and design are usually really good. Balance choices are really baffling sometimes. I think despite everything they legitimately care about both sides. They really are trying to make the game as fun as possible. Though many of us disagree with some of the things they do to achieve that goal.

Curious what the stats are for mori usage. I know I mostly see them as expensive bloodweb fodder. For all the grief killers get for being sweaty and such, you gotta admit... Most moris go unused.
Yeah I have 7 Ebony Mori on Doc. He's only level 39.

Adrenaline, Borrowed Time & Decisive Strike nerf when???
Can't wait for survivors having to play with a brain, rather than being rewarded for being bad but it doesn't matter because you're using 1 of these 3 perks
Hmm BT counters camping killers. Don't camp, and it's a non issue. Adrenaline procs when the game is nearly over. It's basically survivor Noed. If one is fine, so is the other. DS is anti tunneling. Don't tunnel and you'll rarely get hit with it. Though I'd argue it does need tweaking.

Key nerf when as well, then. If they nerf one they have to nerf the other. Both give unfair means to end the game early.
Neither are really unfair. Just unenjoyable to play against.

I don't think you're understanding the point of EGC. It's not to give you kills or help you out. It's to make the game endso people don't hide for 30mins to troll. If it's reduced it would mean that survivors wouldn't be able to attempt saves at the endgame. Those attempts help both sides. I've seen killers go from 1 hook to max BBQ stacks and a few deaths from saves. Plus those points during EGC are worth more than early game.
Basically what I was going to say.
-
I love new Doc. He's far less cumbersome to play as. And he's more enjoyable to play against.

With a brown toolbox a 80 second gen goes down by around 15. Add a second surv, bring that to almost 30.
50 seconds is faster then a killer could do a full patrol and chase.
A brown toolbox takes a gen from 80 seconds to 69.57 seconds.
@Fibijean said:
Is there a killers' rulebook for survivors now? With a list of killer-approved items that survivors are allowed to bring if they want to get a game?
Has been for a while. Two toolboxes, dodge. Before insta heals were nerfed every med kit had to be an insta heal. Key, how dare you try and get a free escape. Face camp and tunnel if not dodge. Flashlight, you must be toxic, so dodge. Toxic cosmetics, dodge. Too many Claudettes, dodge or bring a Mori. That's been the attitude for as long as I can remember.

New doctor is the only killer to make me scream from rage anymore; the BS hits that shouldn't connect because of Dedic*ted S*rvers and just the trolly addons and animation spam lag that comes with him. I wish he could have just gotten a full rework like Freddy to make him a killer people don't despise. No shade to doctor fans, if he is your cup of tea that is great. I just needed to rant. Didn't like him before, not really a fan now. Especially since slugging everyone is becoming the new hot trend.
The questionable hits aren't limited to Doctor unfortunately. Overall from the survivor side I do like him better. Though I do dislike how badly he messes with my fps.
-
Pretty much the same for me. I think it's a combination of people being upset about Ruin, there being more survivor challenges then killer for the new rift, and match making itself being a mess.

You can say that about any perk.
Yes and no. Some perks can act as training wheels helping you to realize survivor patterns.
-
While Pig and Wraith are still my favorites. It depends on your goals. If you are just trying to grind points Doc is a good choice. Otherwise it depends on your preference of playstyle. Billy could be interesting as he's very different from what you've been using.
-
It's a risk. Survivors could end up cleansing the totems and leaving you without it. Honestly it all comes down to how you want to play. Whether you are looking to end chases quickly, stall gens, or more of an end game build.
-

I know you are saying this sarcastically. But it's not completely wrong. If you can put pressure on the survivors the game swings in your favor. If not it's gg. Which is not to say that something doesn't need done to slow early game a bit. It most certainly does. But that slow down will do nothing if you can't capitalize on it.

Bhvr dosen't like you but oh well, you did an excellent job.
On a serious note...
Why rework 5, 6? Survivor perks and only one killer perk? Do killer perks don't matter? Monstures shrine don't matter?
Thrill of the hunt?
Whispers?
Thrilling tremors?
Dying light?
Insidious?!
Shadowborn?
Lightborn?
BEAST OF PRAY?!
etc etc a whole list of them
You couldn't do 3 survivor perks and 3 killer perks?
And why tell us "Oh killer players need to start using different perks"(is basically what you said) when survivor do the same with adrenaline, dead hard, just the usual survivor meta perks. Yeah yeah, stop the killer meta perks and keep the survivor meta perks.
And you couldn't make it more obvious at the beginning that you guys just want money with the "if you want to get theses challenges just buy the character.......w-we have them on sale!" Hmm I remember you guys saying the archives are meant for casual players, but the rift grind and having to buy certain characters JUST TO DO CHALLENGES, seem to say otherwise. Like instead taking the opportunity to make more money by the archives because you perfectly timed to have your dlcs on sale and so you can monetized, actually do something better and help players who can't do it because they don't have some of the DLCs and don't want to waste money on a character that they won't like later on.
You want to continue cratering to the low rank survivors or new players and rob them of their money? Then I would change how we can do the archives, cause the way you guys have it really not for "casual players" and new players will be turned away from it.
Anyways, good job Space coconut, doing us the truth.
I'm not going to wade into all this. The only thing I'll add is @Peanits clarified that there was more killer perks. They just didn't mention the full list of perks they were looking at.
-
It's entirely possible that the Tome having more survivor then killer challenges is effecting it as well.
