  • I want to say no because we don't need any more immersed p3 Clauds Urbaning around. Do you play killer? Because if you did you'd realize the most frustrating thing is finding these guys. You shouldn't be rewarded for hiding in a bush thinking it takes any sort of skill.

Stealth is easy in this game. Most people though don't seem to understand how to actually do it, but when you do you become a ghost. The killer will never find you.

  • My problem with her is as survivor, she does this glitchy walk thing where she fades in and out. I really think they should either remove that or tone it down because it makes it too easy for her to juke you. I'm all for making her power better too, but this is something I've noticed on the other side that bugs the hell outta me.

  • There are killers that will target me, specifically me, when I am a survivor in their games. I ran into at 2 of them last night, I'd give the names but it's against the rules. It's annoying AF to be put into a lobby with a killer that is just out to ruin your game. I report these A holes, and block them, but there is currently no way to completely avoid them and it sucks. I don't care if a killer plays like a jerk sometimes, but when it's every game I'm in with them it's grieving.

There are a lot of toxic survivors too. It honestly doesn't take skill to just run in a circle. If it's a slow killer or good RNG or both it's super easy to do. And it's not hard to just rush gens either. I usually send GG after games when I'm killer and some survs are salty AF when it's mostly the circumstances. I tend to just block these players and try to avoid them in the future.

  • Well I want him buffed, not reworked. He has a particular style to him, you can't play him like other killers. If you rework him you basically change what makes the character fun to play in the first place. Freddy needs buffs and tweaks, not a complete overhaul of his mechanics.

  • The game crashes on console all the time, don't forget that. Not every DC is a quit.

  • If all they did was fix her lunge and the maps like they did, I'd be totally fine with wonky hitboxes on hatchets. It's impossible to hit people now, they pass right through them at point blank. They need to revert this change in a hotfix ASAP.

  • The totem shouldn't light until the killer gets the 5th token.

  • I play Huntress and I can confirm the hitboxes suck now. Before it sucked because they would hit invisible walls and stuff, but now it's just a mess. My hatchets should clearly hit and they miss it's quite annoying. I play the day before the patch and had no issue landing hatchets. Now I will get lucky if I hit 1 in 5. The frame rate issues on console don't help either.

  • That's why I use Whispers a lot. You can tell someone is on your totem without having to get super close to it. I feel like you have to check on it if it's spawned far away from you because it's almost definite that someone will have found it and be doing it when you get there.

  • Put on Calm Spirit and Lightweight with it, just follow the killer all game throwing pebbles at stuff.

Yea there are some instances where you are running straight at a window and still slow vault. It's very frustrating. A window on Chapel does this to me all the time.

I also think that a perk like DWM or Q&Q should allow you to always fast vault when it procs.

Sometimes if you don't run straight for half to a full second into the vault it will be slow. You can't turn into the vault or approach without being completely straight. It gets me at times.

This window in particular I ran at in a straight shot. It's the middle window on the outside staircase of the Chapel, sometimes it's just an opening too. I have a feeling that running up the short steps is what makes you slow vault, but this sort of thing happens all over the place too. It's just much more frequent here.

  • Ruin, Whispers, Nurse's Calling/BBQ Chilli, Blood Warden. This is a really strong build on most killers, and Pig does very well with it too. BW is especially good on her because of RBTs. Whispers is good when she is crouched.

  • [in Morgan Freeman's voice]

But little did Jimmy know that the bell he heard was not a glitched Wraith bell but actually a hallucination caused by a massive brain tumor. Poor Jimmy, he didn't know what was about to hit him.

  • No because it says escape with an item.

    @PigNRun said:
It wouldn't work, you would be wasting the offering. White Wards protect the item you brought into the match, not the one gained during it.

False. I can confirm 100% that if you use a WW and find an item in a trial then die you will keep that item. I've explicitly done that by equipping looter's build with WW, running to open every chest on the map, take what I want and jump in and out of a basement locker. Eventually killer comes over, grabs me, hooks me, I struggle and die. Was in the trial no more than a minute. Kept the item. I've done it multiple times, it's one of the best way to farm for items. You just have to make sure the killer grabs you out of a locker, if they have Franklins and hit you then you lose it.

  • Play Nurse and use Bamboozle.

  • IMO it's a little nooby for him to have that in the first place. It made tracking way too easy and it makes his own perk useless on him. It'd be very unfair if he could track blood for free while also getting free windstorm.

  • Increase the rate at which gens regress to 50% progression speed (currently 25%) and have a 10% regression penalty when you kick a gen by default (like a baby Pop Goes The Weasel). Then put an upper limit to the max progression speed you can have (40 seconds should be the fastest a gen could ever be completed). That would slow the game down enough to the point it's not necessary to add new mechanics/objectives.

  • Use Bond and throw it at other survivors.

  • WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

To be fair he didn't make it into Smash Ultimate he needs something.

  • Same. On Xbox. My game froze mid-trial and I lost my WGLF, now I get this error.

Rancor: You become obsessed with one Survivor. Each time a generator is completed, the obsession sees your aura for 5 seconds. Each time a generator is completed, all Survivors’ locations are revealed for 3 seconds. Once all generators are complete, the obsession has the ‘Exposed Status Effect’ and the Killer can kill the obsession. This happens only once per match.

    • The survivor sees YOUR aura (not the other way around)
    • You see their "location" (not their aura).

I know its the location and not aura. Wrong choice of words. The perk does not work consistently. As I said before whenever it happened my obsession was dead. So my guess is that's the reason why this bug is happening.

Is the gen pop aura covering the location auras? If survivors are close together you might see them as one thing.

Everyone here has their own opinions on what is a win in this game. You can say a pip is a win, or a 4k is a win. I don't know why you guys argue about what is a win when it is already an opinion it self. If you think you won the game than you won. No one is telling you "hey even though you 3k you still didn't kill me that means you lost/win". It is how you view the game not how others view the game..

No. There is no opinion. A win in DBD is defined by a pip. Depip is a loss. Safety pip is tie. Double pip is like a flawless victory. There are no other win conditions. Killing and escaping are not wins. Your personal goals do not count as actual wins according the end results screen.

you sir need to get your head out of the ground and realize not only you play this game...

I can kick the ball into my own goal and call it a win, but that's not how a game works. Your imaginary win conditions should not dictate game design. A pip is a win in DBD, nothing else can be defined as a win. If you want to play by your own win conditions don't complain about the game not catering to you.

  • I haven't been able to find a killer game as her. I got some as Huntress because I wanted to try the new lunge (it's super sexy BTW), one was on Pale Rose and the framerate was really bad. Next game was on Chapel and the framerate was fine but then someone DC'ed (I think their game crashed) and the guy I had hooked let himself die, so I just farmed BP with the other 2 and took a free pip.

The problem with framerate on console is all the notifications and UI. Whenever you get frame drops, 90% of the time some icon is popping up on the screen. When I'm killer every time I get bloodlust the frame rate drops through the floor because it has to show me the icon. Every time I get hit by a killer using Sloppy Butcher, the frame rate drops as the icons slowly move onto the screen. It's all the events in the game and that fact that they spam all these UI icons everywhere that I think is the main culprit behind frame rate issues on consoles.

That and fog. The thicker the fog the worse the frame rate for killer in particular.

  • Autodidact will still be a hard counter to stuff like Coulrophobia and Sloppy Butcher.

  • Dying Light should get stronger based on how many times you hook the obsession, not whether or not they are dead. Each hook should apply a +10% penalty to heals/repairs/exit gates/totems. Obsessions are immune to the effect and get Endurance for 10 seconds after every unhook. Now if you want to mori them you can but you miss out on bigger penalties so you have reason to not kill them so quickly. If they know what's up they can kill themselves on the first hook to deny you those other hooks, but you still win out because someone is dead and everyone else does stuff slower.

  • 1) Dream Demon should interrupt survivor actions, so if you see someone on a gen or totem you can sleep them and it will force them off. Only actions that shouldn't be stopped are vaults, pallet drops, and item usage (even though you couldn't heal/repair anyway, this is so you can use a FL, map or key while getting slept). I'd also debate about unhooks, it could be too powerful, that's up for testing. But everything it it forces you out and prevents you from doing anything during the transition. Then longer transitions isn't necessarily a bad thing.

    2) Skill checks should be inverted in DW such that the failed zone is ratio swapped with the success zone, basically making it super easy to hit normal skill checks (great zone should stay the same size) and forcing your to try to hit a fail skill check like you would a normal one. The you can't just spam the button.

  • That's Meg, she's laughing because her Adren just proc'ed so when she gaves saved off the hook with BT she can run away going LOLOLOLOLOLOL.

  • Check your NAT in the network settings. If it's anything but OPEN then you should reset your network by turning off your Xbox, modem, and router, wait a minute, then turn them back on in order of modem>router>Xbox. It should reset if it doesn't just Google 'Xbox OPEN NAT' and you will be able to find a way to fix it.

Very simple. You have no right or business to tell anyone what they need to accept and what they should consider a win. The arrogance that you have been demonstrating is flat out said. I am so sick of self important asses telling people who they should play or what they should do or accept. Get over yourself.

Your personal goals are not what defines a win. Not saying you can't have them and play how you want, what I'm saying is if you don't pip you didn't win. Period.

I never said to anyone who they should play or what they should do. I'm telling the people that are tilted by hatch standoff to just hit the guy and let them go because at that point you SHOULD have already won the game, and waiting around to kill him or not won't make a difference. And if you REALLY want that kill for your PERSONAL win, go ahead, but don't sit here and ######### about how someone is holding your game hostage by standing on the hatch.

No Doc with tiny terror radius! Use M&A and Insidious with calm add-ons to shrink his TR in punishment then don't use treatment for the start of the game. You will have a 12m TR and can sneak up on people. After a while start using treatment to tier up everyone and your TR will grow like crazy. Once they are all tiered up at least once, go back to punishment and stand somewhere like an illusion, then wait for the fun.

That's so zzzzzzz......... Making everyone scream scatter and panic just by walking around is way more fun! Thrive in the chaos! Bathe in the SCREAMS!!!!

You can still do that. Just don't do it right away. Build tension. If you catch a few of them just running around you get them to scramble. Then once you take a hook you tier everyone up once. Then go Insidious somewhere in punishment mode and they will think you are an illusion.

No, the devs really did say that. That's why they tried to rework it in a PTB a while back. Unlike you, my assumptions are grounded in something.

I mean you are assuming I think the hatch couldn't be better designed. I'm saying that, right now, as killer you are simply being greedy for a 4k if you don't just let the guy take the hatch in a standoff BECAUSE YOU ALREADY WON by this point in the game. Killing the guy or letting him go won't change that. I GIVE HATCH to people all the time and still easily pipped or double pip. You are arguing that killers deserve the 4k for no other reason than to satisfy imaginary win conditions where they have to kill everyone. If you want to play for any other reason but to win, be my guest, but don't sit there and ######### about how you deserve the last kill. It is incredibly easy to play to avoid hatch opening, if you really want a 4k slug the third guy and keep the game going. If he gets up and you lose them, well that's the gamble. If you don't want to waste the time then hook the guy and take the risk the last guy gets away. You don't get to have your cake and eat it too.

"My win conditions" are the game's win conditions. Trying to kill every survivor every game, or escape every game, is an imaginary goal because it's not what defines a win in DBD. If a game mechanic interferes with your imaginary goals that doesn't automatically make it bad design.

I've yet to see "You win" in the score screen. You are projecting your own goals onto everyone else. Learn to recognize a bad game mechanic.

    "Entity displeased"
    "Merciless Killer"
    "Brutal Killer"

    I'm sure you've seen those.

I'm not projecting anything, a pip is a win in DBD. By your logic then I could play as Freddy, go stand in a corner and let the survivors do all the gens and escape and call it a win because no one pipped.

No your imaginary rules for winning are not a win. Pips are what is a win. If you want to play for something besides pips, go for it, but then don't complain about the game because it's not catering to your specific desires. That would be like me complaining that survivors can still safety pip when I do my little Freddy BS and I want them to depip 100% of the time.

Players need to accept that some survivors die, some survivors escape.

they do. pipping to some of us means nothing. your a killer ie the objective is too kill. no one needs to accept anything they can play or expect to kill how they want. not hampered by a stupid [BAD WORD] eye rolling mind numbing stand off that is the hatch. i lose braincells every time it happens. so i just walk away now but half of the time when i walk away idiots still dont take it or do nothing taking the game hostage like a pleb .... thats another reason standoff needs to go

You can always hit them. If they still don't leave, hit them again. If they STILL don't leave, pick them up. If they have DS they will run back to the hatch. Go hit them again. If they have still yet to leave, then you hook them and they die. Nothing is stopping the game from ending but YOU. I can understand a survivor staying in the game and playing super immersed, but if you know where they are eventually you will kill them. It's not holding the game hostage if you can do something about it.

The argument does go both ways. Stop trying to defend bad game design and accept that the hatch is in the Survivors' favor and fundamentally broken.

If you kill 3 people that's gold Devout. 3 points right there.

If it's a normal hatch game then you will have 3 gens left then that's a LEAST silver gatekeeper, but will likely be gold considering points earned per second over the course of the trial. Another 3 points.

If 3 people are dead that's at least 2 hit point and 6 hook points for each, totalling 24 points which is silver Malicious. That's another 2 points.

We are already up to 8 points. That is a safety pip. If you have bronze or better in Chaser it's a pip, which you should definitely get at least that.

This is all also considering the fact that you chased and 1 hooked all 3 of the other survivors and they did 2 gens super fast. This is like the bare minimum a game can even be, and as killer you are all but guaranteed a pip. You have to REALLY stretch the circumstances to get an instance where killer kills 3 people and someone takes the hatch and killer DOES NOT PIP, or even safety pip. That doesn't happen, if killer kills 3 people they pipped and therefore won the game. Whether they get the last survivor or not is irrelevant, and therefore driven by nothing but ego and greed.

This exactly. If you want a 4k, don't let the hatch open in the first place. If it does and the guy gets to it, just let him go you will still pip, probably 2 pip. It's being greedy at that point.

Why is the Killer the one being greedy? The Survivor could also just take the loss instead of going for a safety net.

See what I mean, OP? Arguments go both ways.

Because the killer wins either way. Survivor will probably lose if he doesn't escape. That's why it is greedy, at this point the killer has already won the game (3k and a pip that's a win). What are they trying to do, win... more?

Survivor is also in the receiving position here. They can't jump because they get grabbed, they can't leave the hatch because they will get caught (most likely). They are kind of stuck there waiting for the killer to make a decision. The killer has the power here. If they don't act the game just goes on forever. If they do then the survivor leaves. If the survivor refuses to leave, as an attempt to hold the game hostage, the killer will eventually down them and pick them up. Obviously that would never happen, the point here is the killer has means to FORCE the survivor to leave the game. The survivor doesn't have the means to force the killer to stay in the game if they don't want to. The problem is killers are GREEDY and choose to stay in the game to wait out a measely friggin' kill for like 1500bp and 1 damn emblem point.

The Killer can't win unless the Survivor takes action. The Survivor always wins if the Killer takes action. The Survivor has the power.

Arguments go both ways. The hatch is poorly designed, period.

No if the killer killed 3 others and the door aren't powered, that killer already won the game. Killing the last survivor is just a bonus, it's not necessary to win. The killer can end the game at any time by hitting them and win regardless of what happens by this point in the game.

The argument does not go both ways. Stop trying to defend the ego and accept that some survivors die, and some survivors escape. Killer pips no matter what in this situation, survivor only pips if they escape (usually). All a hatch standoff is just the killer being greedy for a 4k when they already won.

  • I've sent these players this message before and they just reply with stuff like "git gud" or "I don't care about your feelings".

Had game with a few friends against a LF yesterday, where my friend had a key and I had a map. I was ready to prestige my character so I didn't care about my map, we just wanted to try and escape through the hatch. The 1 random died eventually and we had 4 gens done. Problem was this LF brought Franklins and knocked the items out of our hands. I spent like a minute looking for my map, another minute to hide it somewhere safe (this was before we had the 4th gen), then we spent about 3 minutes so I could try and find the hatch with the map (I didn't) then spent another 3 minutes looking for the hatch. I finally found it (middle of the map of course) and he found me, so I get chased and hooked but the other 2 get out (I was dead anyway). I message the guy all I said was "GG you found me right when I found the hatch" and he's like "ZZZZZZ". So I say "if you don't want a boring game, don't use Franklin's because we spent like 5 minutes just messing with our items". I get he doesn't want us to escape through the hatch, and if he didn't have Franklin's I woulda got out with my friends probably, but it's like dude... you were bored because we had to stop what we were doing and find our stuff, then we played EXTRA immersed because we didn't want to lose it again. The game would have gone a LOT faster and I would have played a lot more ballsy out in the open if he didn't have that perk, because I wouldn't be playing to keep my item as hard. Then he calls ME toxic when I say GG and he sends salt.

    Toxic people won't change.
