In regards to the left and right thing, because of that range of motion with a stick, doing it super fast won't make your character actually move mucy compared to m&kb(first example that comes to mind is dodging left and right in overwatch. It just looks like you're slightly vibrating instead of actually moving because it doesn't have time to pick up the full range of input the stick is processing). But that's irrelevant to dbd. I agree theres not a lot that's too much harder on controller besides nurse and huntress. A small difference for everyone else but nothing too bad. On the flip side, survivor is WAY easier with a controller.

That's true, but with WASD you can't circle strafe like you can with a controller. Also the fact that you can move at different speeds can be as valuable as moving at max speed in a direction instantly. Like if someone is just tapping A and D with a rhythm it's pretty easy to determine where they will be when you shoot. But when the speed changes I can move left at full speed then right at half speed, then left again at full speed. Again, you can change directions with a stick really fast so the acceleration difference is not as pronounced as you'd think.

IDK if you play Gears of War, but the game is actually better with a controller than m/kb. Gears 4 has crossplay, and while PC players have an advantage with sniping weapons, they have a severe disadvantage in Gnasher fights because they can't take cover at odd angles or Up-A as well as with a controller. In order for them to wallbounce they have to move their camera to face the wall, where someone with a stick can both aim and wallbounce at the same time. And even though you can move the screen crazy fast with a mouse, that minute difference is enough to lose CQC fights often against someone with a controller. And since Gnasher is like 75% of the game, that means they will be at a disadvantage most of the time. Yes they have better aim up close, but without good movement it's worthless because they are a sitting duck.

on console the situation is even worse because killers have it a lot harder due to fps and controller aim, I wouldnt play killer on console either tbh.

FPS is a legit issue on console, but aiming with a controller isn't as big of a deal as people make it out to be. The only killers it would even remotely affect are Nurse and Huntress, it's literally a non-issue for everyone else. And if you have been playing console shooters for 20+ years as I have, aiming with a controller is quite easy. Hell, I turn off aim assists in games that let me and I have absolutely no trouble sniping or anything. PC players always make it seem like its hard to aim at stuff with a controller, and while a mouse is indeed better for that purpose you can still have excellent aim with a stick.

In regards to using a controller, more is affected than just aim. Your turning speed is limited, and anything that involves changing directions quickly becomes slower on a stick because you have to go from (for example) far left, slight left, still, slight right, far right, and repeat. Takes longer than just far left to far right immediately. Though that doesnt come into play much in dead by daylight. Aside from just Nurse and Huntress, I'd say Billy can be harder to lsnd chainsaws, and lunges are harder to land on a controller too.

I mean it takes a fraction of a fraction of a second to move the stick from far left to far right. Turning speed is a legit point, but if you put the sensitivity high enough it doesn't matter. You also have to consider the benefits of using an analog stick for movement over WASD, as you can't move in smooth motions or at strange angles with WASD. Going around a loop, for example, it's quite easy to just press the stick towards the object you are looping to hug it as close as possible without having to turn your camera. With WASD, you have to hold W and turn the camera to hug the wall which is a lot more difficult to do.

Again DBD isn't CSGO. You don't need precise aim, hell you really don't even need to aim. I don't find lunges hard to land once you learn to not try and track the tiny movements survivors might make and just swing straight.

Also from what I've heard, Billy chainsaw is actually easier with controller than m/kb because you can flick easier with a control stick. I don't play Billy so I don't know either way personally, that's just what I've heard.

I main him at rank 1, he's fun. While I am looking forward to his changes they have me very worried. I want his blaring problems fixed, not a complete change to how he plays.

YES EXACTLY!!! Everyone wants him to be a completely different character, I just want his biggest drawbacks fixed. It's so simple...
    1) Dream Demon forces you out of all actions (except vault/pallet drop) so that you can actually defend a gen/totem/gate or stop someone from healing the dude on the ground right in your face and pick them up.
    2) Invert skill checks so that the size of success and fail zones are swapped. This makes it harder to wake up since in order to fail a skill check you basically have to succeed the skill check. Great zones stay the same size. No more just spamming the button to wake up.
    3) DW needs to be less dark/grey with normal amounts of fog. This helps both Freddy and survivors.
    4) Allow survivor aura perks to work against Freddy when awake. This makes him easier to track and stealth for survivors. Rancor, however, should not reveal his aura unless the obsession is asleep, only because it's a really nice interaction between his power and Rancor that he can take advantage of (and it being a killer perk, it should be immune to the change).
    5) After being put to sleep the first time, awake survivors should see flashes of Freddy like they would in transition but very VERY rarely. It'd make him a bit easier to track and avoid when you are awake. Pill Bottle would remove this entirely like it does for transitions.
    6) The outer 6m of his lullaby should be directional, again to make him easier to track and stealth as survivor. I can totally understand that he isn't fun to play against because he is invisible, and if he got the right buffs (like #1 and #2) then I'm totally okay with survivors being able to track me better.

    1. Console has many more SWF groups that are 3 and 4 man groups due to the ease of chat invites and ease of inviting friends. This makes getting matches take longer for solo Survivors in the case of many ore 4 man pre-mades. As well as two man pre-mades taking longer to get a match.

I had the complete opposite experience. When I'm solo, it takes me less than a minute to find a game. When I'm in a group of 3 or 4, it takes AGES to find a game.

  • Delete him from the game. That's the only LF rework I'd like to see. Him and Doc are usually the most toxic killers.

  • I agree somewhat. You don't need a lot of frivolous options like '2v8' or that nonsense, the game should more or less be the same as it would be normally, but you should have more control over options currently there. For example, instead of just an on/off switch for items/add-ons give options to allow up to a certain rarity. So you have something like All/Very Rare (and lower)/Rare/Uncommon/Common/None. Also the map selection should allow you to add/remove maps from a random rotation. Currently it's all maps or select a specific map. IDK if you ever play Smash Bros but it'd be something like the ability to turn on/off individual maps for the random selection.

  • Evil Freddy builds:

CLASS REUNION: Remember Me, Rancor, Blood Warden, NOED, Class Photo, Black Box, Shroud of Separation- just literally chase the obsession all game until the gates power and kill them. Don't even hook them, just let them DS you or pick up/drop them to chase them more. You should be trying to get rid of as many pallets as you can. Patrol the gates/totem until you find someone, then go around and sleep the other 2. Once they are are all asleep, slug them with NOED and take the hooks once they are all down. SoS is to scare them into thinking you have a mori (since it's a secret offering) and prevents the obsession from waking up before you start chasing them.Note that while I hate NOED I use it here because it's "end game" though you could swap it out with Kncokout and this build would be just as effective. Once the obsession is dead and all the gens are done, as long as the survivors aren't injured it's impossible to wake up. RM adds 30 seconds to the door, and DW doubles the time effectively making it take 100 seconds to open a door. You have plenty of time to go around and 2 hit everyone.

DREAM CATCHER: Dying Light, PWYF, Haunted Grounds, Ruin, Class Photo, Z Block, green/pink mori - Another obsession based build... use CP to find the obsession then tunnel them to death. Ruin is there to give you time, HG is there to protect Ruin and help you catch the obsession faster, and PWYF is to stop looping obsessions from leading you around too long. Z Block counters the +2s transition penalty of CP, you look like a normal Freddy. Once you hook the obsession WALK AWAY so they get saved, then come back and get them. Bring a mori to make it easier, but it can be done without one. If you kill the obsession and they have anything more than 3 gens you basically win the game. CP makes it impossible to hide, just sleep them all every time so they can never finish a gen and wait for mistakes to chase. DL + DW + possible Ruin = complete gen lockdown.

ENTER SANDMAN: BBQ, Ruin, STBFL, Nurse's Calling, stacked blocks - The "standard" Freddy build that is just good all around. Very straightforward, you are mostly playing like a normal killer. STBFL is really great on Freddy because it helps in a chase so much. NC is one of the best aura perks for Freddy because it's range is farther than his lullaby, so you always catch people healing.

  • Use Self Care, Adrenaline, Unbreakable, and Spine Chill. The first 3 pretty much hard counter his power, and the last one will help you to stealth him when you are awake.

People say "gen rush and loop" but that's what you do to every killer except Nurse. IMO it's easier to just avoid being put to sleep by watching Spine Chill and if it lights up then leave the area. Don't try to hide because he can spam his power to find you, it's a lot more effective to just walk away before he gets there. His vision in DW is far more limited than a normal killer, so if you can stay out of the lullaby or around the edge he really can't see you unless you stand out in the open.

  • It might be your stick. Not 100% sure, but if I believe PS controllers use the same stick mechanism as Xbox controllers. There are tiny plastics pieces inside the mechanism that wear down over time and when they break, you get stuff like stick drift or low value inputs to the point that you can't ever go 100% in certain directions (ie. pushing the stick all the way to the left only registers as 90%). Try another controller and if it still happens then IDK.

But what do you mean by people that know how to play the game. That's the whole problem with the ranking system in a game like DBD. As a rank 1 survivor I do not pallet loop or use jungle gyms. I don't body block killers so he can't hook a survivor. I don't run around with four flashlights like team players and prevent the killer from getting kills. I just repair a gen and then hope to get a decent chase out of the killer. Where as some players... They think that being a rank 1 means you have to take it seriously. You're not helping your team if you don't loop the killer like everyone else. You get flamed if you use the killer shack pallet. There's all these rules that rank 1 survivors have for each other. But some people don't want to play like that. They want to play a fun match and not care about rank. But unfortunately it's way too easy to rank up. So you get stuck with players like me on your team that get chased down and actually die to a killer.

Same for killer. Some use mori's and face camp and tunnel to rank up. Other killers enjoy the 'chase' aspect of the game. They want to chase and down people. Put them on a hook without being griefed and then take another chase. They don't care if they come away with 0 games as long as they know they made it hard for the survivors. Yet killers also rank up because it's way too easy not to. It all comes down to the key point. Ranking up is too easy. And it mixes all the try hards and casuals into the same games.

Let's just call it what it is. There's really no number rank that means anything in this game. You have the Rank 1 try hards and the rank 1 casuals. And because of that it makes rank not matter a damn bit.

People that know how to play the game are people that understand how to do certain things and when to do them. Contrary to popular belief, there is a RIGHT and a WRONG way to play a video game. The RIGHT way to play is to play optimally and play to win because that's ultimately how the game was designed to function and flow. Playing it wrong is to play against this design, and while you can play a game any way you want if you play it wrong then you will lose against someone playing right.

For example, in Chess if you only focus on using pawns and never utilize your other pieces you are objectively playing the game wrong because such a tactic will always lose to someone that uses all the pieces. You have every right to play this way if you want, but to do so means that you will lose. Another example, in Street Fighter trying to play a character that is designed to be a zoner as a rushdown. While it may work from time to time, when you go against a player using a character the way they were designed you will lose because you are not playing to your character's strengths, you are not optimizing.

People hate when I say that there is a right and wrong way to play a video game, but it's the truth. And I'm not telling you that you must play the right way, just that if you play the WRONG way you are destined to lose. The players that play "wrong" are often the ones that want the most extreme changes to the game to make what they are doing the right way to play, and that's a huge problem. Like, if you want to play a super rushdown style in SF then pick a rushdown character. Don't try to fit a square block into the circle hole, and don't carve out the hole to make the square fit either.

In DBD, you can tell who knows what they are doing by what they do. A killer that knows where to go and how to scramble survivors is going to win because they are playing right. A killer that just chases one guy all game around an obvious time consuming loop and never pressures the other survivors is playing wrong, and will lose. The problem is the latter type of killers complain about survivors looping or gen rushing when in most cases it happens because the killer played wrong. It's like if a pitcher always throws a fastball right down the middle of the plate and expects to get a strikeout every time, they are playing wrong because it's not about how fast you can throw the ball, it's about making the batter swing and miss.

And that's not to say you can play right and always win. There is the factor of execution. You could know what to do but if you can't pull it off then that knowledge is worthless. But someone that play's right poorly will win more often than someone that plays wrong very well, if that makes sense.

PS. Also there can be several "right" ways to play a game. I'm not saying there is a single specific right way, most games have multiple "right" ways to play. But there are also objectively "wrong" ways to play, again it all comes down to optimization and playing to win.

  • Rank only means something in some cases. But most of the time it doesn't mean anything. I'm rank 1 for surv and killer, and I find that the only difference is that at red rank you have a CHANCE to get players that know how to play the game. Keyword is chance, because there are a ton of rank 1 survs/killers that really don't know how to play the game and only got there by grinding or boosting.

All the time as surv or killer I see survs make really stupid choices. Like I make mistakes from time to time, I get it, but sometimes it's just the absolute dumbest thing you can do in a given situation. And it's not just once either, they repeatedly make the same mistake over and over. I caught so many survivors running the same loop the wrong way multiple times in a game I have a hard time believing they would be so dumb to make the same mistakes. And I see killers all the time that just have no idea how to pressure survivors or how to chase at rank 1. Again, there are red rank killers that know what they are doing, and they are more abundant at this rank than rank 10 or whatever, but there are still tons of bad killers at rank 1. You can tell they are bad killers because they fall for easy tricks and they are usually the super campy/tunnely ones that only got to red ranks because of all the bad survivors they faced at low ranks that don't punish them.

Getting to rank 1 isn't completely based on skill, it's more based on time commitment. Ironically, it's the rank 1 Freddy's that end up being some of the best killers because you have to be a good killer to play him against good survivors (which again are just more common at red rank than other ranks).

Gramma's Heart is really nice IMO. If you set up your traps properly then you can get a free Insidious/Tinkerer effect and sneak up on people. I also rather use it with Mint Rag over Shackles because you can pull a lot more serious mindgame by teleporting to another trap near the one that was tripped and completely jump scare whoever hit the trap. It's a lot more effective than shackles because I find when you run shackles everyone plays EXTRA immersed, more than they even normally would against a Hag because they don't want to hit a trap. I'd rather they hit a trap, know it, then not see me coming from a complete different angle.

Can't really comment on ear, I don't use it. It could be useful in a chase, but IMO heart is way better.

I'll have to try that combo when it's fixed. I usually ran it with the turtle egg to keep my terror radius down longer.

Set up a "web" of traps so that you always have one nearby another if it gets hit. I have been using Whispers on Hag with MR/GH and when Whispers is dark I know I'm free to place traps. Then just track the direction the survivor is going, when they hit a trap then teleport to the next trap and a lot of the times you catch people because they are looking away from you.

At any time during the match, people can leave. If the killer is doing well and the survivor is like this is lost, they just leave, which ruins the game for the killer (which matters. they are a player in the video game).

First they have to do at least 2 gens to even spawn the hatch. Then they have to do +1 gen for each survivor still alive to spawn hatch so they can use the key. Then they need to find the hatch when it isn't open. "Leave at any time" LMAO

Also if the survivor doesn't think the team they're on is good for whatever reason, can open the lock and ditch them, which is also not good.

So then this guy should die because they have really bad teammates? Why should he be obligate to stay and help anyone if he can just escape?

Either focus on killing the guy with the key first, use Franklin's, or just accept the guy brought a rare item to escape.

    Salty killers man...

Thats for player level not survivor rank

But you are asking for something to reward you for playing the game a lot, which Devotion does. And by playing the game a lot you will inevitably get to rank 1 unless you are THAT bad at the game.

It works at rank 20 where Killers were dropped on their heads as babies and will actually slug a guy with NM.

No it works at rank 1 too. Like I said it doesn't always work, but it can when you do it at the right time. You have to know what a killer is thinking and feeling though. You can't just take any hit and get slugged, you have to know when they really want someone else. If the killer already has a hook on you they look at you like a free kill anyway, so they WILL leave you down because they think they can get the other guy and you at the same time.

You can also get them to slug you in case where you can force their hand. For example, if the killer is chasing someone around their Ruin, just go over and start doing the totem. This forces the killer to 1) hit you or 2) grab you. If there is another survivor nearby there is a high chance they will slug you since they know that by taking your hook they give up Ruin. A normal survivor can't do that because being in dying state is a bad thing, but for NM guy it's not. It's a bit of a kamikaze play, but if done right you force the killer to trade a hook for a totem, and some killers won't take that trade, meaning they slug you.

You can also force them to slug you if they really want to camp a hook. Run up to rescue, it forces them to again hit or grab, but if they take your hook then the other guy gets away. They might not want that so they slug you, thinking that they can just hit you down again if you get up. A lot of killers underestimate the power of NM. If they are in a position where they have the advantage they will slug you because they don't think you will actually get away.

If you take hits and never get slugged then you are just doing it wrong.

  • Yea I saw this too. I've definitely been lag switched on Xbox a few times and it's crazy that this is even a thing. Dedicated servers would be great, but they are also expensive AF to maintain and set up. The devs need to find ways to detect lagswitching with the game itself so that the game just ends if lagswitch is detected. Maybe you get false positives with bad connections, but truth be told if you have a bad connection you shouldn't be playing online games in the first place.

  • "A lot of grinding", no not really. There are 45 pips from rank 10 to rank 1, so after a reset you can be back to rank 1 after 23 games potentially if you double pip every game. Hell I got back to rank 1 survivor and killer this last reset in less than a week. It's not hard, and once you are at rank 1 it's easy AF to maintain since you only need a safety pip.

You should just get a BP reward for reaching rank 1 each season. After that, there doesn't need to be any rewards.

LOL dude it works. If the killer is chasing the obsession and about to get them and you take a hit, they will leave you and keep chasing. I've done it many times. Oh I thought it was 2 minutes. Then 5 minutes I guess. Whatever to make it take longer to die from a bleed out just so that you have more chances to get yourself up.

No SC is way better than Prem. Prem has a cooldown, SC does not. Prem tells you where the killer is, SC tells you what the killer is focused on. The former is easy AF to do without any perks 90% of the time, but the later is almost impossible to do unless you are getting chased and you KNOW the killer is focused on you. SC gives you way more information than Prem that you can't get otherwise.

Well letting the killer kill you is technically griefing/working with the killer to screw your teammates over. However in this case the killer is an unwitting accomplice in the jerks strategy since as far as they know the person went the wrong way etc.

Except it's not because they aren't doing it explicitly to grief the team. They are doing it to depip, or in the case I provided item farm. And even if they do it to grief, how can you prove that? You can't. Maybe the dude suddenly had something more important to do and instead of DC'ing he just let the killer kill them. I almost did that last week, my mother was in a parade and fell and broke her wrist. She called me to take her to the hospital while I was in the middle of a game. I ran up to the killer, gave them a good chase, then took a hook. I was about to just kill myself on the first hook, but a Nea was right there so I let her save me to get points and I was gonna do it again to die, but then the gates were powered and there was one literally right next to where I was hooked, so I just ran out.

Like if a survivor wants to grief other survivors there are much more effective ways of doing it than just killing yourself on the hook. Equip OOO, Bond, and Diversion and lead the killer to all the other survivors. Run around and drop every pallet. Intentionally unhook spam, fail skill checks, heal tap, bodyblock, etc. Giving up on the hook is not griefing, not even close.

  • Remove the injured music. Give a flat 2k BP bonus post trial for escaping with NM. Allow NM users to always fast vault when running. Increase the bleed out timer to 3 minutes.

  • Spine Chill is a really good way to counter a lot of killer stealth tactics. It gives you a lot of information, for example if you are healing behind something and it lights up then a killer definitely has Nurse's Calling. It's also useful for juking a Nurse in a jungle gym or something, since if it's dark then she's not going to blink in that direction.

  • The novelty of horror wears off quickly. IDK if you've every watched Markiplier play FNAF, but he became immune to the jumpscares after a while and was clearly more frustrated he lost than scared (although I think he still acts scared for entertainment purposes, but it's obvious he's acting).

Like I am finishing up Hollow Knight now, and there's one area called Deepnest that is basically just a giant spider nest. It's really creepy and freaky at first, but after playing through the area multiple times to get 100% I'm not even phased by it anymore. Though the sounds a few of the enemies makes still creeps me out (not even the spider ones, it's the flukey worm things in the waterway and the half-dead mummy bugs in the graveyard, they make this choking gurgling sound that's really gross).

  • DC'ing in any context should be punished, but letting the killer kill you shouldn't only because you're not exactly breaking the rules of the game. It sucks to be another survivor in that game sure, but they didn't do anything wrong really. However I do think that if someone gets hooked, struggles, then let's themselves die within say 25 seconds of being hooked then the other survivors shouldn't suffer a penalty to Benevolence.

Also I'd like to note that there is an item farming strategy where you equip Plunderer's, AITH, UTA, and Pharmacy with a White Ward, raid all the chests until you find something you like, then jump in and out of a locker in the basement or something until the killer grabs you, then you die on the hook and keep the item. Again, sucks to be the other survivors in that game but if the person was at least somewhat considerate they would have opened all the chests before they did it so that maybe some other people can escape with a nice item.

  • DC'ing to give someone hatch is a bit scummy, but at the same time is it REALLY that big of a deal? Killer gets credit for the kill anyway, so you have a 3k and most likely a pip too. Getting the last kill in these sorts of games won't make a difference at the end of the day. I flat out give people hatch in a lot of games and still easily pip, usually even double pip. Killers need to stop caring so much about a 4k, if you pip you win. End of story, move on.

Oh and survivors are now getting the 2x depip as if they dc'd when the killers basically finding ways to forcibly dc everyone.

    Is this happening a lot?

It happens on console, not for PC.

If the killer quits the game, the emblems will show it as a depip but if you look closely at the "rank progress" it will say 0. Also, it shows yours rank lower on the scoreboard but when you exit the lobby to the menu your rank will be what it was before the game started.

If the killer DC's and you lose rank then it was a DC on your end not theirs. That's the only time I've lost rank from a DC is because the connection spiked and I'm the only one to get booted from the game. And no it's not my connection, this sort of thing only happens if I stay in a game with red ping, hence why I avoid those lobbies whenever I can.

  • There are a handful of really good Nurse players on Xbox, I run into them a lot at rank 1 though they play multiple killers not always the Nurse. For the most part, there is a solid mix of killers at red rank on Xbox, if I had to pick one that I see most it'd either be Myers or Billy.

irony that i know more programming languages than you, tho you probably dont know any at all lol

comedy gold from these salty survivor mains

LOL the only salty one here is you. You really think the devs wouldn't pushed through a change because they are scared of fake reviews on their game? Reply again with another gif that just demonstrates your saltiness please. Also keep complaining about stuff you have no clue how it works. Makes you look super smart.

  • @Lowbei said:
lol nobody here mentioned how long it took, you are simply grasping at straws to feel better about being laughed at. your uneducated survivormain opinion has been discarded like blakes. feel free to ragequit the forums now in embarrassment like the rest.

Says the guy that assumes they know how game dev works or even that they know what BHVR is planning behind closed doors. The only embarrassment here is, and always has been, you. If you really want to believe they would change the game based on CLEARLY FAKE REVIEWS then you are simply an idiot.

  • @Lowbei said:
all i got from your ridiculous rant was that you dont know the timeline and how long it took after the bomb to announce the decision to nerf killers.

we get it, you dont know what youre talking about, its common around here with you survivor main derps

All I get from your posts is that you have absolutely no idea how game development actually works. Keep that tinfoil hat on though.

I like how people assume review bombs meant anything. Like SMH do you guys even know how game dev works? Making knee jerk reactions like that is what destroys a game. Is it really that hard to believe that maybe, the devs decided to change something people also complained about?

yeah, the killer nerfs that happened immediately after the review bomb, right after universal praise from the vets for the previous patch, was a big coincidence. /eyeroll

im a nigerian prince. lets talk about how i can give you my millions.

these survivor mains are derp af

Game dev isn't just flipping a switch overnight to change something. They broke Huntress hatchets with 2.2 and it took them what 2 weeks to get the hotfix out after people pointed out how broken they were. If it was really as you believe that change would have happened like the next day or something. If you really think someone at BHVR was scouring metacritic right after a patch so they can change something the next day you need to learn a thing or two about game dev.

Lots of things have strange coincidences. It's literally the basis for every conspiracy theory out there. I bet you believe that 9/11 was an inside job too because it's too much of a coincidence that the towers fell straight down, but then you forget that engineers build it that way so that they can safely demolish it in the future if need be.

  • I'm willing to bet that the rate at which the emblem decays is much lower than the rate it increases during a chase. That means if you chase someone near the hook, you have a net gain albeit lower than a normal chase. But if you just stand by the hook and never chase anyone (the literal issue with camping) then you get punished. You probably won't drop from iri to silver from normal killer gameplay, but you might if you just stand near the hook and never leave until the guy dies.

  • My guess is that lag is a factor, so if the game is laggy you will still see it. But if you have good ping it shouldn't happen.

  • I like how people assume review bombs meant anything. Like SMH do you guys even know how game dev works? Making knee jerk reactions like that is what destroys a game. Is it really that hard to believe that maybe, the devs decided to change something people also complained about?

This is also why game devs don't like to talk about stuff they are doing with the game behind closed doors. They make a promise, plans fall through, now they look like liars. It's why they keep their mouth shut on everything and instead drop surprise changes. They didn't like the changes to DS, so it's not happening. Yes it was a mistake to make the promise, but would you rather they break the game now and scramble to fix it later, or that we just wait for things to be done right?

  • It'd help if you tell us what kind of suspension you got. If it was a comms ban then it's because you sent a toxic message to someone and they reported you. Xbox just doesn't ban you for getting reported, they actually look into it and then take action. Also if you get reported for fair play (unsporting behavior, quitting early, or cheating) you can't get suspended/banned for that, they only affect your rep. If your rep was hit then you should go play Minecraft or PUBG or some game with a LOT of players that most likely won't report you because your rep is dependent on the number of players you encounter versus the number of reports against you. If you have a new account, therefore, it would be a lot easier to lose rep than if you have an old account. For example, I have 25 reports against me for fair play but still have good rep because I've had my XBL account for 13 years and I've played with thousands of players.

I'm willing to bet you sent a message and got reported. That's the most common on Xbox. Just don't send messages, or block people that send hate mail. Don't respond to them.

  • Dodging BBQ is so easy though unless you are right on the cusp of the aura reading range. Just go in one direction for 4 seconds after a hook then change directions. It's super easy to avoid.

Also a circle with a 40m area is HUGE to search for killer. If you are within BBQ range but still get caught you have poor stealth skills.

  • I've been using BL recently only because it can make a huge difference in some maps, even without the Haste status. The only thing that drives me crazy about it is that there are spots where it should 100% trigger but doesn't because you went through a window or something.

DH is overrated. It works once against a good killer, that's all you get, and you have to use it so perfectly to get any benefit out of it. The distance you gain is so minimal, and if the killer just waits then you get hit. It's good against Nurse and that's about it. The only reason so many people use it is because killers constantly fall for it. But when you get one that doesn't, it's so worthless compared to SB, Lithe, or BL which can actually, you know, help you escape a chase. Plus you can't even use it against a one shot like chainsaw or MYC.

  • All that's gonna happen is you get smacked as soon as you get yourself off the hook, put back on the hook, then struggle for a minute. It's a waste of time, just die.

  • I've been rank 1 for a while, gens are ######### boring. I do 1 gen to get my silver Lightbringer, and I'll do a second if we REALLY need it but once we get 2 gens done IDGAF about gens. If I really want to escape I play for hatch. I will go for saves mostly for the rest of the game, or be the distraction to get the killer to chase me around. I will die and end the game with 3 silver emblems and iri Benevolence, which is an easy pip. If you rush gens and run out the gate it's so much harder to pip.

  • I have like 37 of them, I almost never use it. They are too easy to beat since you have normal wind-up and at most 3 hatchets (meaning you need to reload more). I'd rather use Babushka and a belt.

I mentioned in another thread that maybe as a change to Freddy what if they add more objects and such that don't exist in the actual map? Make it feel like an actual seperate world. I have no idea of what they could add but just thought I'd make this thread to see if anyone else has any ideas for this.

Because then there will be places Freddy simply can't go which is complete BS.

Also from a technical standpoint, Unreal needs to "cook" stuff so anytime someone picks Freddy the game will take twice as long to load.

I'm not saying show what killer it is. Just the name of the person who is playing the killer.

I play PS4 not XBOX but on PS4 you just go to your Friends list and click currently playing, click on your name and see who is in your match. the name that isn't one of your 3 teammates is the killer.

If XBOX has something similar then you will be able to do this also.

If the killer dodges on Xbox you can go to recent players and see their name. Outside of that there is no work around to see who the killer is.
