  • TBH they should just make basement permanent on Thompson House. Putting a hook up there is a bad idea exactly because the killer can body block. It didn't fix the problem, just flipped it around so killer can do BS.

This map plus Preschool need permanent basements.

  • OMG boo hoo survivors do gens and someone gets to escape. I want a 4k every game WAHHHH

  • It's going to be a 4v4 competitive mode where each team has 3 survivors and 1 killer. It's played on the same map, but only killer A can interact with survivors B and vice versa. Like a ghost version of games on top of each other. First group of survivors to escape or first killer to kill everyone wins.

  • If you can meme it, then it's working as intended.

  • @Nickenzie said:
Yes, make Losing more fun! I often see survivors get really upset whenever they are tunneled, slugged, camped, and etc because well, it's not fun! So, I'm gonna suggest some ideas on how to make losing be more enjoyable.

Sooooo.... This is a good theory. Make the game suck less when you lose (should apply to killer and survivor). Everything after this point though, not sold. Won't make a a difference.

  • They should add UFO's and then you search chest for satellite communicators to get beamed up. It would be fun.

  • Well I also have a few friends I'm sure I could convince to play the game but they don't want to shell out $30 for it. They MIGHT buy DLC or cosmetics though...

  • Just increase the time it takes to open the door to 30 seconds base and have the door regress when not being opened. Then it would be a lot easier to protect the gates.

  • It can also be set to 0 using Insidious. Your TR comes back when you stop phase walking. IDK why you wouldn't want this, they are making it so the woosh sound isn't heard inside the TR so a larger TR would help if you phase walk during a chase.

  • Underrated survivor perk: Hope - This has single-handedly helped me escape at the end of the game, sometimes only even at tier 1. The movement speed buff makes you almost immune to slow killers and soft counters NOED speed buff. It's helped me dodge Rancor too, I woulda been dead without that little bit of extra speed. I combo it with BL and some loops become infinite (for 2 minutes at least LOL).

Overrated survivor perk: Urban Evasion - If you understand LoS and aren't someone that just hides in a bush somewhere cough P3 Clauds cough you don't need this perk. As a slow killer, this perk is annoying AF to deal with, and the idiots I see using it think I can't see them crouch walking out in the open. UE is such a cheese perk.

Underrated killer perk: Stridor - I use this on Spirit (as she needs it most IMO) but it can be VERY useful on other killers. I found for Huntress it makes it easier to line up long range shots in the corn using sound, and it's terrifying to survivors when they can't see you. It's like a combination of Nurse's Calling and Bloodhound, in that it works best against injured survivors and is both a tracking perk and a healing deterrent since you can almost pinpoint their location through sound it's sort of like an aura. If they don't have Iron Will it's almost impossible to hide from you if they are injured. And it helps with finding those P3 Clauds with UE because you hear them gasp every now and then.

Overrated killer perk: BBQ & Chilli - Best killer perk for BP. Top 3 for aura reading. But OMG, guys, it's not even a challenge anymore. I dodge BBQ like it's nothing, it's so easy to juke. Likewise, I get juked constantly as killer using BBQ. I put on Bitter Murmur though, and ######### hits the fan. Killers need to mix it up. Hell I've used Territorial Imperative randomly at times and it works! Someone ######### will go down there eventually, or if you manage to hook someone down there it becomes a death trap. Best of all NO ONE EVER EXPECTS IT. Yea BBQ is great for Billy and Nurse, but everyone else is too slow to do anything of real value with it. Spirit maybe, Huntress maybe (if she has a clear shot), but everyone else it's more of a perk to keep tabs on survivors and not so much hunt them down. Other perks exist to help you find survivors, Whispers is a lot of fun, and yes BBQ is useful I just find it so easy to beat as survivor that you are better off with different aura perks.

  • They are planning to "rework" Freddy in the future so maybe just wait for that if you are unsure.

  • Only if his power is to just stand there.

When you reach the stage of the game where the gens are all powered and you manage to knock a survivor down, you don't want to immediately kill that player. _ You want to use that player as bait to hopefully get more kills. _ If they are dead then the other survivors have no reason to stick around.

If you have NOED though then it just saves you time especially if it was a DS user. That's like the last thing the Rancor guy wants is to be killed at the end of the game so they play slow and you can't take that away. Ruin they can take away, which is why you have Dying Light because if you catch and hook this person they may just kill themselves on the hook because Rancor. If they do, that locks down the game for everyone else. And if you choose to tunnel this person to proc DL, then they others rush gens and proc NOED, so you kill the guy and they only have 3 places to go, your totem or a door and there is definitely 1 less of them.

It's like a catch 22. Either you catch and kill the obs before the gates power and lock down the game, or you pressure them and catch them after forcing your NOED to proc. Ruin is there to allow you to find the obsession and pressure them because if they die before the gates power everyone else loses.

  • @Eninya said:
Dying Light + Rancor is kinda pointless if you're banking on using Rancor to execute them after the generators are repaired. The whole purpose of Dying Light is to get it as soon as possible, and why it's campier than Insidious.

You'd likely make better usage somewhere if you ran Remember Me for a late game setup, so you can get maximum benefit for stalling on the gates, (or Blood Warden if you prefer).

I thought that but I found when some survivors see Rancor AND you have them on a hook they just kill themselves. Like I've had it happen like 5 times to me with Rancor if I caught the obsession first. If that happens, then the entire game just sucks for everyone else. Rancor basically tells the obsession "you will die this game no matter what", and then DL takes advantage of that if/when they kill themselves. Of course you can just tunnel them to death, or if you are sporting leave them to the end to Rancor them. They won't do gens because they don't want to get Rancor'd, and if the team rushes gens when you chase the obsession then they proc NOED and you get a Rancor. It's like, obsession is dying no matter what unless they are just that amazing at hiding from the killer all game. Everyone else dies if they try to rush gens because NOED.

All I'm getting from this thread is that killers are hypocrites because none of you would turn down a free kill if I gave it to you. You are all lying right to my face, you'd gladly take the guy I sandbag. I've seen it happen many times, what difference does it make if it was on purpose or accident? Why suddenly do killers have some moral code they must uphold to protect survivors?

You know what's sadder than someone asking how to communicate to a killer that they wish to intentionally screw over the rest of the players in their matches?

Watching them whine and throw their toys out of the pram when they aren't greeted by a rush of "Good on you...here's how you do it!"

I've seen plenty of killers refuse to take a kill handed to them by trash survivors. I've jumped into hiding spots to see a cowardly survivor being pursued, stop and point out my spot....only to see them get downed before the killer nods or spins at me, allowing me to escape. More than a few times I've had the same kind of coward (again being pursued) run at my hooked survivor, blatantly unhooking me as a distraction, only to watch the killer swerve away from me to catch them.

Not every killer is an angel, some of them might take that free kill, but in all my time as a survivor, the majority will punish the trash player.

    @thesuicidefox said:
I ask because 3 games in a row the killer didn't seem to care I was on their side. I ran this LF right to 2 immerse Clauds right next to him, and he still hooked me right away :/

You bleat out 'LIARS' to everyone here who condemns your actions when your initial post pretty much underlines that every killer does NOT in fact always take the free kill. If you don't want to play survivor properly, then i suggest you play killer, who knows, maybe you'll happen upon a benevolent survivor, willing to play scummy tactics because they either cannot play survivor properly, or simply has the mindset of a troll who delights in ruining other peoples games.

Killers who won't play your little games have their own reasons, some want a fair game, some think there is enough toxicity in the game without adding to it by teaming up with a trash survivor, some don't want to participate in what is a bannable offence, and maybe, just maybe....some derive the same pleasure from squashing a trash player under their boot as they might do when they squish a teabagging flashlighting trash talker.

    Just something to think about.

I do play killer, rank 1 Freddy so...

My point is that the killers that understand what I'm doing still take the free kills. The LF took the Claud but then killed me too. It seems clear the only reason he did it was because he thought I was trolling him with OOO.

All I need to do is make my actions look like accidents and killers will take it every time.

  • I've been rank 1 survivor solo put into games with all rank <18 players, including the killer who had 1 perk. MM is borked sometimes. Also if all they do is make unsafe hooks and run away from you then they won't pip so they can stay at low ranks for a long time.

  • I got called a tunneller several times even though I had 4 stacks of BBQ before I even killed the first person.

And if I run Dying Light or Remember Me I will tunnel you because they require it. Hell if you want a tunnel I'll do my Freddy build with Remember Me, Rancor, and NOED, I'll literally just chase you until the gates power, then murder you and the rest of your team. You will get a lot of chase points and I'll let you smack with with every pallet on the map. Trust me it will be fun.

  • @Visionmaker said:
Killer self breathing needs to be reduced also. That might explain why people have difficulty hearing survivor breathing. When I play Doc or Pig, I can't tell who it is.

Yes this too. I've been running Stridor a lot on Spirit and sometimes I'm not sure if I'm hearing myself or a survivor crying in pain.

  • For survivors it's very easy to discern where the killer is, so it shouldn't be easier. The chase music increases the chance you make a mistake an get caught. That's totally fine.

However I agree for killers, a lot of times the music can hide too much sound and they DESPERATELY need this because it's way too easy to dodge a killer using IW and UE. UE by itself hard counters all slow killers. Nurse, Hag, Huntress (oh God how I HATE UE as Huntress), now Spirit. It's dumb how easy it is to hide as a p3 Claud, and if you play like this you should seriously be punished for making noise because it's the only way to find them outside of auras. I also play Spirit and I feel like the music should be completely silent when you phase walk because you depend entirely on sound when you do it and being able to use it well it the key to being effective with her.

  • Don't they condone DC to derank? I know they let Fog streamers do it with no penalty. Maybe your friend got banned for other reasons.

    2 hooks, 2 BBQ's stacks.

    Profit.

I'm gonna stay closer to your hook tho.

Still doesn't change the fact you are lying and would gladly take another survivor if I handed them to you on a platter.

No experienced killers would want a free kill.

Even more so if it's coming from a cancerous survivor.

It is, but I'm not asking for moral guidance here, especially from killers LOL

I'm asking how can I make it clear to the killer what I'm doing? If they want to kill me and teach me a lesson, so be it, though I highly doubt any killer would actually do this. Don't lie, you'd let me sandbag the DS guy or the guy with the FL real quick if they started to annoy you.

Oh and I tried this maybe 5 games in a row last night. Every game it was clear the killer had no idea what I was actually trying to do. It definitely wasn't even a case of them trying to tunnel me or whatever IDC, it was just them being morons and not getting it. The other survivors got it really quick, which is why they didn't save me off the hook.

This thread is full of hypocrites BTW.

    Its also bannable.....

Not doing anything wrong. Devs say we are not a team and that I can do what I want to survive. If that means ratting out the other 3 so I can hatch, nothing bannable about it.

  • Nurse, Hag, Spirit, Wraith, Freddy, Pig. Anyone that can either get back to the hook quickly or stealthily is good with MYC.

If I had to pick one killer that it's best for, I'd say Hag with Mint Rag. She can clear the whole map, Nurse you would at least hear a blink first.

  • "Dreamland" just makes me think of a very particular song from a very particular game that is STILL played competitively to this day.

Tinkerer, Remember me, Nurses Calling, Whispers. Tunnel the obsession get 5 hits, kill one person before gates are activatable, camp the exit gates and get a 4k since they cant get them open.

That build is trash. You would never need Whispers on Freddy, ever. You're invisible.

If you use stacked pictures and offer farm you can just walk around with your power active when Whispers procs. Together the range is 30m, which is beyond your lullaby. If anyone hides in the corn you find them instantly, you won't even see them they will be like 3 rows away. But yes, aura perks are the way to go with him.

  • Killer shouldn't disturb the crows if they have this perk, and instead of a notification you see the crow auras when a survivor disturbs them. Also make it 100% at tier 3.

  • Yo that was my question 🤪

You do you. All I'm saying is, what difference is there from doing this or AFKing? And should being "the ultimate troll" really be your goal in this game?

Just think about it. It's the ultimate mind #########. They will rush through the game and by the end realize that they screwed themselves. Just follow them around and spook them, it's honestly funny to watch survivors as Freddy when they are like terrified you will find them. People do weird #########, all I'm saying.

  • I feel like there are extreme cases where the emblem system can screw you over, as both killer and survivor. I've had safe unhooks not count for some reason and lost all my Benevolence, or the SWF group with toolboxes did the gens like 5 seconds sooner than I needed for silver Gatekeeper. And I end up just barely missing my pip. I can see your points, but there are valid reasons to keep the safety pip, mainly the fact you can have a bad game from time to time.

Oh BTW the "10,000 IQ" Freddy build: Whispers, Remember Me, Unrelenting, Bamboozle. This is a derank troll build, just never put them to sleep. You can swing at them faster with Unrelenting, telegraph your presence with Bambo, spook them at end game with Remember Me when they go to do the gate and find them with Whispers just so you can mess with them. If you never sleep anyone, the best they can do is 3 safety pips and 1 guy pips if they share the gens properly and one guy does both gates. But no survivor group would do that, and they all end up with a safety at best.

This sounds awful. You might as well go hide in the basement and watch youtube videos. Or better yet, just don't play the game at all.

  • Stacked blocks is the most reliable add-on combo. I wouldn't use them too often until you to higher ranks where you need them. Class Photo is really powerful if you know what you are doing and focus on sleeping multiple survivors at once. Paint Brush is powerful too because you have a tiny heartbeat but you move slower. For you I would suggest stacked dresses to prevent people from getting skill checks. Stacked pictures is good for corn maps because the range is beyond your lullaby.

For perks you should get Nurse's Calling and BBQ. STBFL is also really solid on him.

Had this earlier today too. Two Kills, 2 escape with 3 DS, 4 Adrenaline, 2 SB. The two that escaped were on last hook as well. I didn’t bring NOED though and was Trapper. It’s insane how hard those perks carry Survivors. If they didn’t have the DS’s that would have been a 3k or 4K easy game. Meanwhile I’m using Ruin, Devour Hope, Brutal Strength, and Hex : Haunted Grounds. Ruin and Devour got busted 1 minute in and nobody touched my Haunted Grounds.

I've been on the opposite end of that. I went against a trapper with TOTH, Ruin, HG, and Devour, we got the worst RNG and did the totems in the perfect order for him, and Devour was in the middle of the map in a spot where he had a trap you have to do to get the totem, and he got 5 tokens by the time we got all the other totems. There was no winning that for us. Totems are high RNG, your game's as killer can go both ways.

  • Do killers interact with other killers in the fog? If so how?

  • You are not teammates. You are survivors.

  • You are Doc. If you 3 Gen them then no need for end game perks.

Ehm isnt PS4 where ochido is doing his work?

One of the biggest difference between platforms is that the nurse and huntress are not (mostly not) played due to low fps and controller aim. This makes the game significantly easier for survivors on consoles.

Also you ahve to keep in mind that the console community is not as old as the PC one and is still learning (especially PS4 since that free ps+ thing)

I play Huntress on Xbox and it's mostly the map that causes the problem for me, and UE. It's SOOOO easy to get around a Huntress with UE, and some maps like Haddonfield are unplayable due to FPS issues. No doubt she would be better after optimization but if you get the right maps you can do work with her.

  • STBFL is really strong, and you really shouldn't ignore the obsession all game unless you can afford it. You shouldn't be aiming for full tokens and then just never hit the obsession. If you have a chance to get them, take it.

  • I play Huntress but I say no only because the hitboxes are so unreliable you'd get way too many instances where it clearly is a headshot but doesn't count, or it wasn't a headshot but does count.

The only thing I want for Huntress is 4.5m/s movement speed or decrease to base wind-up time.

  • Spirit Fury is probably a more reliable perk than Rancor, but Rancor has potential to be way more powerful. Rancor is like Devour IMO. It's fun to use but hard to use. It comes down to getting the guy at the end of the game, which is easier said than done. For Pig the only way I see it being really useful is if you did something like Amanda's Secret and only put your traps on the obsession. Then near the end of the game the add-on reveals their aura and you can mori them, if you are lucky they still have a trap so you know they can't leave yet.

  • Actually I wanna change mine to this guy
