i don’t want a fluffy animatronic from a children’s game, this is one franchise I hope never makes it personally, I’ve loved each and every chapter (not including skull merchant) but Fnaf I hope never makes it.

Doc might be exception to do that but I figure my way bring more certain result. Lot debends how good survivors you face.

Well i mean. The build blocks gens so i normally get gold-iri in that. Split hooks means i more than likely get more brutality and use of my power. So posssibly? Both doc and legion are known for being good at using their powers and leveling quickly.

  • Damn ive been playing the game wrong then. Split hooks on doc for the past 15 games. Pipped up everytime. Rank 3 about to be 2. Using dms, ultimate weapon, shadowborn, merciless storm. I really need to master the art of the ranking.

They said some time ago that they are looking at Hillbilly. But they did not give an ETA at all and I think that it is quite low on their priority list (which I would agree, Hillbilly is not bad and does not need changes as much as Twins, Freddy or Blight (those in different directions of course...)).

    @Topic:

I would just wait. I dont think they give him back his Chargetime Add Ons and also not the Cooldown Add Ons. And rightfully so, those were busted and should have never been a thing anyway. But I except some changes to the most unpopular ones. And probably a removal of Overheat, it was watered down so much, it does nothing at this point.

The only thing they might do is remove the drawback from the one purple that gives you it. Because its equal to the old bulb. Which was the weakest of the charge speed addons. And in its current form it doesnt really see play (was buffed twice i think?) So i could maybe see that one to fit a purple. (Also with anti camp i dont see a point of overheat going forward anyway. One of the main complaints is leaving. And this isnt the same game as before with backrevving) also if they really hate billys mobility. Hes had this mobility since he came out and up till the last overheat change it was never seen as "the issue" with him. Just seems like they kept moving the goalpost to give overheat a reason.

Hopefully this is a bug and not some horrific new design choice. It was hard to imagine the Shrine getting any worse, but this would do it. Still, it's been an interesting couple of weeks for the Shrine. First, we finally get Soul Guard for the first time in over three years, and now we're getting non-teachables.

i mean for me its not the worst i guess. I got everyone on both sides p3 so the only thing i need to grind for is non-teachables. So if its intended i could maybe eventually have all perks in the game level 3 instantly.

So, i've been playing Knight a lot since March, it became my main killer. I started to play Knight because of his Visuals + theme (Medieval) and i'm still playing.

The thing is: sometimes i feel Knight is fine, sometimes i feel Knight is very underwhelming. Its so much fun counter a flash save/ sabotage with a guard dropped in the right position, or generate pressure by punishing greed altruism; but sometimes - in stronger loops and some houses like in Haddonfield or Springwood - i feel that survivors can easily run from the Knight + Guard, specially since MFT came out.

Another thing that is very annoying is that Knight is kinda addon dependant, since you can miss a hunt without the Map of the Realm, even you land a patrol right in front of the survivor; also, Call to Arms and Dried Horsemeat feels necessary against better players, which reduces the possibility of experimenting with other addons.

So, how you guys which also main Knight feel about him now?

I feel knight could be amazing if mor and call to arms wasnt basically a necessity to make them playable. I wanna try the other addons so much. But they become so clunky without the addons. So i mostly agree. Also the bugs of my guards running the opposite direction to chase a survivor. Halarious but no.

    Very good tip, dude!

I had a passing thought yesterday about how a perk like Distressing might synergize with UW if it was put into a build focused around harassing survs with TR. I could see Doc players having a lot of fun being a menace

This is the build ive been using. Using the iri queen for simultaneous blasts to give all 4 survivors a static charge which is surprisingly valuable for if say survivors want to heal eachother and one goes madness 3.

    https://youtu.be/Ez0E9TEz_Lc?si=fPI1Ojb6ZbtC6ZM5

Also it gives you basically lethal in the beggining of the match.

Ah, you're correct. That last line needs to be added whenever they update the official wiki. So yeah, like Doc's area shock CD. Still, little enough CD to where the sequence of surv being found -> chased -> downed -> hooked should see it back up in time to find a new chase. Or decide if one chase is going on too long and it's time to drop chase and find a new target to harass.

The funny part is it is basically the exact same cooldown as static blast since 30 second duration 30 second cooldown. Static blast is 60 seconds. So you can run it on like doc for double blast basically. One which reveals in lockers as well. Good for a interrupt build.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

You can't unlock him with shards, only real money. So you have to pay for him.

If you pay, you will get very busted killer with almost no counters. This killer makes Blight look like balanced.

    1. He chases you with 4.6, his power is always active unless if you burn him.
    2. Burn him? It's kinda impossible because turrets are garbage and doing nothing to him. So he is staying full power almost all time.
    3. All ranged killers needs to charge and hold their powers for use it. For Xeno, he just using power. He is not holding it. He does not need to plan how to use power like Nemmy, Pyramid or Demo. Even Slinger and Huntress. Just chase survivor with normal speed and whenever you get range to hit them, do it. Braindeadly easy.
    4. All ranged killers are losing speed when they hold their powers, Xeno chases you with 4.6 while his ranged power is still active. And he is not losing speed for his power because he does not need to hold it like other ranged killers.
    5. All ranged killers need to cancel their m2 power for m1 you. There is little cooldown for it, so survivor can jump or use pallet. For Xeno? This is not case. He does not need to cancel his power because he does not need to hold it.
    6. All ranged killers are giving you clear information about they are going to use their power. Xeno is not giving any warning. His animation is not clear. So you don't know if he is gonna m1 you or m2 you.
    7. Missing m2 hits is not making him slow enough. It feels like killer just missed m1 hit. He is almost losing no distance. So dodging his m2 hits is kinda pointless because he is never losing you or you are never making distance against him.
    8. This killer creates lose/lose cases for survivors. Drop pallet/vault windows = m2 and get injured. Fake it = m1 and get injured. His speed is making him so easy to zone survivors. There is no way to outplay patient Xeno.
    9. He has bloodlust bug i think? Or maybe it is just his base-kit. Who knows.
    10. All other teleport killers have cooldown or they need to build teleport points. This killer can teleport with no limits.

Thank you BHVR. It's seriously good way to make chapter sell crazy. Put crazy strong killer and chapter will sell so good. But next time also put crazy survivor perk, so you can sell to everyone.

isnt nurse a free killer and is the strongest killer in the game?

This is such a bad take.

So by your opinion you think Alchemist Ring is fine? It has not been touched since his release three years ago. Until patch 6.5.0 Nurses attacks after blink did not count as special attacks and worked with exposed effects, does that mean it was the epitome of balance?

There are probably more examples to make. But just because something has not been changed in a long time, does not mean it was never a problem nor that it ever will be. Things change, maybe not the perk itself but things around does and Resilience does not live in a vacuum it is affected by everything else.

Take the nurse example above, blink attacks counting as basic attacks were mostly fine until Starstruck was released. Just because something has been unchanged for a long period of time does not mean it is the epitome of balanced.

Hardly comparable. For one we are talking about addons on the second strongest killer in the game. (Or you used nurse as well who again everyone agreed was broken with addons and could literally use exposed perks to speed run a world record of 1 minute and 30 second games). Who actually their last balance change was buffing adrenaline vial. Resilence is a perk that makes you 9% stronger while your injured which puts you one hit from going down and being healthy is a pretty big thing in this game. Alch ring is "hey you hit them...go again" or C33 which literally breaks pallets faster than a chainsaw killer. People have complained about these addons for years. And everyone universally agrees they are pretty busted and should be toned down. But if you talk to most people about resilence. It seems for its entire 7 year period its been pretty much fine. Its never been THE problem. It was only good when other perks were making it so. Iron will, DH, Spine chill. All 3 of these periods right after those perks were fixed it fell out. Because just in practice on its own its not a "must pick". Now we have "made for this" which is doing the same thing. If made for this was say nerfed in some way i'm sure it would fall out again. Because again on its own its a pretty balanced perk. Vaulting 9% faster may be nice but being able to make it to said window 3% faster to even make that vault possible? Very good. Hell even OP has specified they don't think the perks overturned they just want a healthier shift of perk choices.

  • I think alien is perfect the way they are on console. Not to destructive to the console player if they miss actually giving them a chance with a range-type m2 killer. But i feel pc will get that part neutered because even with how big the console player base is. They don't really balance for them outside of like trickster and blight i think? If they have to nerf any aspect id hope itd be making the turrets do a bit more.

  • @ThMnWthNVwls said:

Now if I'm against a swf, if I can get rid of one of them early on, then I just need to down 2 people within close proximity to each other, and I can use this perk to find the last. They then have a choice of unsafely rushing in to pick up the 2 people or be found quickly enough. Doesn't matter if they have distortion or low profile (though who uses that garbage perk anyway) - plus as an added bonus they can't see the downed survivors for a little while after they scream. I love this perk!

I would much prefer it if it showed their aura for even just a second, I'd definitely update it to do that

Someone got found by it lol. If your going for that theres better perks like alien instinct. I don't get the hate mongering.

  • @Hensen2100 said:

Can we take a second to talk about how completely broken this is? I finally had the pleasure of playing against it, along with some Ultimate Weapon Blight's and Oni's.

Why can you have it up literally half the game? It's like nowhere to hide on steroids on some of these high mobility killers. 0 counters other than running a garbage meme perk because a killer like Blight is running across the entire map in 30 seconds to get your location for free

Calm spirit:"will i finally be used?"

  • Resilence has been unchanged since 2016 besides bugfixes. Its the epitome of balanced as its never reached to hard meta relevancy unless it was another perks fault. It shows off how unbalanced another perks ability can be. Which itd fall out after said other perk was changed/fixed. (Being shown with current mft now and old dh before). It makes you slightly stronger to go with playing the round injured. It does it well, but not overpowered. Leave it alone.

New players go against P100 teams because a Killer who would have been on the level of those P100-teams dodged and some poor Newbie-Killer gets backfilled into this Lobby. So they either put a penalty on Lobbydodging, remove it completely and count it as DC if someone closes the game or they reduce the information for the Killer so that they are less likely to cherrypick and dodge Lobbies.

Because the players who have the biggest disadvantage because of Lobbydodging are those who get backfilled into a Lobby where they just should not be.

Although this new one doesnt fix the problem with how the matchmaker works ofc. The previous killer could leave because say they have a emergency or something. You get that newbie killer. Then the newbie killer gets absolutely decimated for a game to see what they truly were facing at the end. Then they just hate this game for throwing them through the ringer. I was introducing a friend to killer and he had this happen. 2nd game on huntress. He loads in to 100,100, 58, 86. All pc. Hes on console. I just tell him "yeah bail on that. You backfilled" so he goes again to a actually comparable team. Fair game. 2 kills 2 escapes 6 hooks.

(But i do like this change i just feel like its a step not the end)

Quick PSA to everyone as well: currently, this perk will force survivors to scream, even if they are hiding in a locker for some reason??

Yep its halarious as doctor. They hide in locker. They scream and i find them. They stay in the open well then they scream. Then get blasted. Win.

  • eh whispers has its weaknesses compared to this. This you know their exact position allowing you to line yourself between all 4 of them to get the perfect multi-hit. Whispers will light up when you get within close range to 1 survivor. You might hit multiple but its not a guarantee. Also this interrupts and blinds them. And can save ya a blast for tracking.

It's a locker perk, so it's always going to be okay at best. Largely because some maps (like swamp) have terrible locker spawns so it can be very hard to keep checking a locker to use the perk.

Plus the perk is only really useful of mobility killers, so you can actually move quickly around the map to locate survivors.

doctor it basically acts like a second static blast, you basically get the perfect static blast everytime. Really good with both his addons to raise hit tr. Or iri queen to mark seperated survivors.

Doctor high mobility and surprisingly low tr killers can make very good use out of it. Its probably the best perk of the update.

Yeah i've ran the build all today as well. Very consistent. Faced a streamer and they loved it and found it fairly strong because you just wouldn't have the time to hop off a gen to prevent the force off of entering the tr. It turns doctor into such multi-pressure with the basically 2 blasts (since they both rely on your tr) just one inflicts blindness and the other madness lol. Double blast doctor.

  • @UnknownKiller said:

Why you choose nostromo instead of alien isolation.

I like the map but I rather consider more asmospheric to be on the alien isolation spaceship on a dark enviroment and some jumpscare with a facehugger jumping to you or even u see another xeno going throught the vents

Because if were going for the source why not get the original place? They have a chance to get the start. And people think they should have gotten a indoor spaceship from way further down the alien franchise?

Both Notes for Max Tr, Or Purple Note and Iri-queen for spreading madness overtime using hooks since the Iri-queen would shock the un-hooker (or if they try to heal) Open a locker. Wait till you hear all 4 screams positioning yourself so the blast will hit all 4. Blast. They all get Madness (and charged if your running the queen) Combine with certain perks like DMS or Merciless Storm. (had a game where i hooked. Opened a locker as fast as possible. And walked like 15 meters and blocked 3 gens simultaneously from the screaming) Wait for your tr to come back after the blast cooldowns over. Open locker again since ultimate weapons cooldowns probably over. You can now have a screamo match. Its also kind of funny to hear all 4 survivors scream. Then scream again from the blast. Its not the best build but i feel its fitting for doctor.

Yeah after 10 games of it. Its been fairly consistent. It basically does what whispers would do for doctor. Tells you your blast is gonna hit something. While also interrupting them. And for perks like merciless storm or DMS. Pretty snazy.

It used to be like that where every Killer had their own hooks and they'd spawn on every map depending which Killer is played. This was removed once Myers released. But I would actually love that feature back.

Mhm. The main complaint ive heard is stealth killers since you could just look at the hook. But i mean...with how stealth is in the game now. I don't think its that big of a deal. Most stealth killers should have aggression to go with their stealth. (And those that dont should probably get more)

  • @Alice_pbg said:

    Basic attack? INSIDE a locker?

Yeah,so, some context. if you went into the locker using your power. You could look down at the lock. Tap the basic attack button. Breaking it. It didnt damage survivors or anything. It just acted as a break action for the lock. So if i was tping to a locker i know noone was nearby but it was locked. Id just break the lock for later before tping to another locker. It was pretty nice.

  • @TeleportingTurkey said:

    WHY?

IT WAS SUCH A COOL THING

    KEEP IT

Yeah honestly basekit wise i liked it. You could still hear the break and run. And the time investment was about the same. But with the added buff of as you were tping around you could break locks for later. Punishing survivors for pre-locking to much. But its not how bhvr feels he should be designed i guess.

  • Does Warframe have 13 licenses that they have to pay to keep in the game available to everyone? Im sure keeping those licenses are expensive considering when ya have to renew them and i think any profit bhvr makes with them the owners get a high cut. Then you have to account bhvr as a company is great to their staff. They give them a pretty reasonable wage. Contemplentary Hot food available for their staff. And reasonable time frames on how much they need to do.

"Is Behaviour Interactive a good company to work for? Behaviour Interactive has an overall rating of 4.4 out of 5, based on over 215 reviews left anonymously by employees. 92% of employees would recommend working at Behaviour Interactive to a friend and 83% have a positive outlook for the business".

It sounds easy. But dbd (and BHVR) are still a business and they pay a lot to keep things the way they are. Also if its still true. Cross play charges still exist. And they aint cheap.

    sony-cross-platform.jpg

Maybe theyll eventually have enough to make it work. But considering they have more and more licenses hopping on board. And they have a lot of expenses in various areas. I don't see it happening anytime soon.

  • @BlueHorkew said:

I think the Huntress exhaustion add-on and fearmonger are the only well balanced killler exhaustion tools.

Easy to apply, is enough of challenge for survivors without killing perks, but rewards the killer if they skilled to finish the chase early enough.

    Everything else is kinda lackluster

The pig one kinda works if you chase a survivor who hasnt gotten their trap off yet since it has no limit. As long as they have the trap. But yeah then you have other ones that are weird like artists.

    Screenshot_20230825_124232_Chrome.jpg

Since if your that close you should be hitting anyway.

  • (On the revealing the endurance) I dont know. Personally i like the idea some endurances last longer than others. So you can think its normal endurance and wait the 10 seconds and swing. Oop either they had off the record or the unhooker BT. (You can make a more educated case based on how fast the survivors moving) same with other stuff like sole guard. Survivor gets up right infront of you. Maybe lower end killers will swing right away. But others might think they have it so they wait. If you just show off the shield then the killer knows the moment to swing and everything on the endurance. So why would they swing and give the speed boost to the survivor?

  • @Tsulan said:

Interesting approach. Do you want basekit BT gone too? Or just buff BT?

DS has counterplay. Maybe return it to 5 second stun.

DH are you asking for a buff or nerf? As its pretty solid right now.

IW only if Spirit gets her original phase walk back.

SC has so many old stats. You need to be more specific.

Botany, i´m ok with that one.

Ruin... i think hex perks as a whole need a rework. None is a "high risk, high reward" perk anymore.

Billy, most of the community would sign that.

Devour:"am i a joke to you?" The amount of times i can get devour into snowball is nuts. Especially on the killers that can hide it like plague. And you just mori one of them before they even know devours there. (Also protector killers like trapper and twins) but yeah agree on all. Especially billy.

  • "How fun is, put camera in good angele, jump in, try to shot the Survivor, go back, try to chase them again, aha EMP, okay, put camera in good angele, jump in, try to shot the Survivor, go back, try to chase them again, aha EMP, okay , put camera in good angele, jump in, try to shot the Survivor, go back, try to chase them again, aha EMP, okay , put camera in good angele, jump in, try to shot the Survivor, go back, try to chase them again, aha EMP, okay, etc"

Thats literally how my games as singularity go. Survivors are always on top of emp. (Also the amount of times i can literally see a survivor on the cam and no lock-on happens) Honestly i dont know how broken hed be if they just made it so you can only have the 4 emps in the match at a time. (So someone cant just print another one from a already grabbed box) so Survivors at least need to hard hold the emps or group up. Right now theres just way to much to make singularity fun for the effort. Then they nerf 2 of the good addons. Like even tryharding (which i never do) to get the effort needed to get the value out of him just doesnt make him feel rewarding. I swap to nurse or spirit and get the same value for much less effort.

  • @Boons123 said:

The funny thing is that this perk has not changed since the release of the game. However, throughout all those years, no one complained about it until after the End Transmission chapter.

If anything, this is a perfectly balanced perk

In short, you are a person who does not like to face any perks survivors and do not blame yourself for your mistakes and put them on others

Resil has not changed once besides a bugfix patch yeah. And it wasnt even considered a buff/nerf. Its probably the epitome of a balanced perk. It shouldnt change. I love its design.

It counters a lot of relatively niche things. It's like ok at best.

It'd be a lot better if it didn't have a penalty to totem/chest interactions, and it should work on rummaging too. It baffles me that the developers haven't removed the speed penalty that only makes the perk worse. Without it, it might be decent.

Surprsingly ive seen jolt, pain res, and face the darkness as more as niche. Face the darkness has been used to make uncleansable totem builds. Pain res you still take the penalty same as jolt but you dont at least get knocked off the gen and alert your location. These 3 have been the most common perks ive seen lately and they have screams incorporated in some way.

  • I hate daytime maps with a passion. For so long this game was at night and i got so accustomed to it. (Most of the maps still are dark) but then you get coldwind and its like theres a flashlight in my eyes the whole match. I really miss the old coloration.

  • @Livion said:

They can be iridescent addons to, in fact I encourage you to make them iridescent because those are the ones that change a killers playstyle completely.

    Example:

    Doctor

    - Copper cables (iridescent): When a survivor reaches tier 3 insanity they become vulnerable.

I know it's not the best thing in the world and that is unbalanced but it's just an example, Im still curious on what you guys say

    Very convoluted but here.

    Knight iri-power in numbers.

You cannot summon guards yourself. The guards now spawn on seperate parts of the map and will do their own thing as the match progresses.

The carnifex-will run around and break any thrown pallets, or breakable walls and move towards generators to hit them only if a survivor misses a skillcheck. Afterwords he will just patrol the map looking for survivors to chase.(They all 3 will still have the range to trigger the hunt if a survivor runs into them)

The assassin-will run around the map nearby the knight scouting for survivors to chase. Loud noise notifications will lure him and he will automatically move toward the knight when he enters chase.

The jailer- will just scout the map itself kinda like a zombie checking gens and just going towards any notifications (he will be lured by discordance)

I 100% agree. I also have a collection of Screenshots on my PC of Hits which were REALLY questionable. Where I was far away from the window after fast-vaulting it and still got hit. With under 40 Ping. And I also know as Killer that some swings should not connect, but I try it anyway and it works more often than not. And Killer mains do the same. See here:

Yes, the fast vault looked goofy due to the Drop. But the swing was way too late, but Otz knows that this would have hit. The Nea would have bin hit while being quite far away from the window. Which should not have happened.

And I have seen Killers adapt to the new vaults already. Sometimes I still get hit, but this is because I was not far enough away. Which is fair. And I dont see many Swings at Windows anymore which means they adapted and know that not everything which hit before (and should not have been a hit) does not hit anymore.

However, soon we will have the joyful experience of getting hit miles behind the window. So that stuff like this will be more common. Yay. :)

Meanwhile, this is fine (Screenshot from yesterday, this Nurse really did not take well that one Gen got done...):

But god forbid vaults are working. :)

The only but i thought they really needed to fix was male survivors for some reason could vault further? As shown in another otz video.

from a "survivors are only skins" perspective thats kinda weird lol. But dwight does it with such grace. He's going all the way.

  • The animations are horrid. Overheats been made basically irrelevant in the important scenarios. The scream they literally added as a joke (and say its a sound que for nearby survivors) And if you want true value from his addons you run double engravings. To each his own. Billy needs a good bit of work. He was fluid and had fine drawbacks on release. They just went so overboard. But hopefully thats why hes getting changes. Like revealed in the AMA.

you are aware that I'm not a programmer or designer etc and that the Community Team does not make decisions for those other departments? My idea is one idea and yes it would actually work in solving the issue that is lobby dodging in general - players have always dodged lobbies it's been something that's happened since the game began, maybe it's time that lobbies were locked when you join them - I don't really see anything bad about that.

I wouldnt mind it. Better than either bullying or being bullied. Sorry people put these on you by the way.

Like many updates, the PTB has some bugs... One bug in particular makes a certain perk on Xeno completely busted. If you notice it... great. Report the bug, then don't do it anymore. The last thing we need is for ppl to think Xeno is too strong because ppl exploiting a bug resulted in the survivor team to get absolutely steamrolled.

Is it bugged because theres some killers that act similar? (Plague twins and knight?) But i guess since it directly does a certain thing. Makes sense. Glad i havent run into it on the survivor end. On the killer end i havent used it.

Also it's completely useless to not make them killer based. If anything it gives soloqueue a more balanced knowledge compared to SWF. In SFW, one can see the killer and tell the others, but that's not the case if you play solo. So now you could look at the hook and know too

And most stealth killers can jump you even if you know its them. I know its a myers. Wont stop him on midwich from jumping me with no warning. Ghostface can do sneaky snipe marks. And wraith moves at 150% movement speed.

  • Like i said in mine a little earlier, i hope so. Killer hooks added flare and made things pretty interesting.

This will be fixed in an upcoming patch - I can confirm it is 1 health state. We appreciate you bringing this to the forums.

The challenge was good fun to incite a panic though! Thanks for the update!
