Nope. Just because make herself hide for few seconds once a while doesn't make her stealth killer as main ability. Wraith, ghostie much better if you aim for that.
I mean she can literally do it forever because with the one addon the cooldowns shorter than the undetectable duration. So her tr never goes back. But yeah. I guess for solo stealth shes not matching up to the big guys. She also has addons like the iri to make her more stealthy.

Myers scratch mirror
105 permaently. Cannot gain bloodlust. Half a normal lunge. Has to run a indoor map as he cannot cut survivors off with such a low speed advantage. And camping pallets or safe areas makes him useless. SM has a lot more advantages for having on demand up to infinite stealth that myers just having wallhacks cannot compete with on most maps. But you are correct. Hes the only one with infinite stealth that can damage you. Wish his downsides weren't so large.

My first game with her I used the power cool-down and stealth duration, it was bonkers.
The almost unlimited stealth means getting the drop on Survivors from behind cover is a common occurrence. Her chase potential with the drones themselves help to secure that second hit. I actually find the drone management fun along with maintaining stealth to get the drop on people. She’s a different kind of stealth Killer.
Even without the add-ons, the base kit stealth can really be played around with during and when dropping chases. The lack of a red strain during the chase is nice for quickly rounding corners or using FoV obstructions for sneaky moves. Using it to drop chase and find someone else is effective as well.
Overall I love it and I’m still messing around with her other add-on combos and playstyles.
Yeah i feel she can have a lot of playstyles. Every video i see is different lol. The purple for faster rotation and the lesser scan immunity is nuts for consistent marking for instance. The undetectable build. Max hinder via the green and the purple. And movement speed merchant via both movement speed addons. Shes not wraith addon level but shes definitely got a good spread.

There are 6 escape paths from the main building
- Stair
- Window behind the stair
- Door 1
- Door 2
- Main door
- Window next to the main door
With 4 traps along the basement stair. The better way to counter is leave survivor to die and do gen. More effective, no risk, no effort.
Which is why I always think purple bag basekit without downside is really bad for his game play. People still can do it with the right perks and addon. Devs dont want Trapper can also do it without perk/addon effectively.
Yeah there are some maps worse than red forest for this because of just how their rooms spawn, normally with little entry points only via doors and windows. Thank you for going into more detail than i did with how the map works. But at least with the sack he can't pick back up the traps. So it makes it a little better. From what i gathered disturbed ward is pretty much the worst for it because it's easily accessible for trapper most parts of the map. And has the easiest trappable exits.

let me help you with your headache on this specific matter. MIDWICH HOOKS ARE GARBAGE. ive had 1 hook and a quarter of the map on second floor behind two doors. this discussion should be about hooks being destroyed and how badly they spawn in these maps. Boilover got nothing to do with it i lost survivors to these maps without it being used
Yeah most of those id agree. But i mean on a case like ormond. You could down a survivor upstairs and easily drop off and hook them on one of the corner hooks. But boil overs wiggle spike is what is making that map impossible. Midwich and badham are bad eitherway. But there are some maps (crotus prenn) which have must-drop hook placements.
-
@buckk0097 said:
that perk has one use and its the "problem" with it you mentioned. otherwise whats the point of running it in the first place ?
also i know people who can aim in fps games and tap heads with no aim assist on controllers so i dont think its that bad for console players.
besides i notice alot of killers are trying to counter wiggling effect but counter strafing it but that not how to do it. you need to go with flow of the wiggle and hold forward you will actually reach the hooks faster than before. just a tip
Just a necessary point to mention, im not trying to take away from your opinion. im just sharing what i feel about the perk after 2k hours and mainly playing killer going for 12 hooks with blight. so i did alot of hooking i can tell that much
The problem comes from when you have a map like midwich where theres no hooks in say a hallway you downed a survivor in. So boil over makes said hook impossible. As well as the map just not having a hook on the second floor for some reason. Ormond has this problem as well. Most hooks are off the drop outside. Well so you drop. Giving boil over its boost with no other real option. Badham its the opposite if theres no basement in the school you gotta haul A to get a survivor upstairs. Normally its not bad like you said. Its just annoying. Its map design but a lot of maps at least have one area like that. Especially with sabos or perks. So i was asking if people would like bhvr to go through every map and readjust the hook spreads so you always have a chance to get a hook. (For instance adding a hook on ormonds second floor) or just rework the perk to fix its issues on those maps in particular.

Therefore the killer would be clueless that a Survivor touched the Gen and is exposed?
Yes. I made it my mission a few games i was running it where if we knew dragons grip was in play. I would just run around with calm spirit/vigil stopping the regressing gens with a lesser exposed time. Very good against ultimate weapon to since it recovers you from timed statuses faster. And really any duration based effect addon. I think even hinder from stuff like nemesis and clown bottles.

Greetings ghosts and ghouls! We’re back with another Developer Update, this time covering all the adjustments on the way following our last Public Test Build (PTB). We unveiled some major changes during this PTB, including the new Anti Face-Camping mechanic and an overhaul to The Skull Merchant’s Power. You’ve left us with… -
Shadowborn. Motion sickness. But in terms of not just for accessibility. Probably bbq. Downtime between chases isn't fun for me.

Partially agree. I disliked when they changed NWO for instance for basically guaranteeing a death in the 1v1. Stuff like insidious and knockout will never be healthy in my mind. Boil over can never work with problematic map design. And power struggle makes way to many lose-lose scenarios. Some stuff like the off the record thing. I dont mind it keeps the other effects even with endurance gone. And some disadvantages he wanted to give would be a little to intricate.

Totally disagreed, back in the past hug tech was so rare since many people didnt even knew how to do it , and back them any decent blight main used to destroy any team including myself i used to like to run always the speed and the addons to insta-break pallets to see how god it was , SURPRISE was broken as hell but yet it still exist so i just stick to the lower rarity ones, also i never EVER used hug tech to earn my hit , however when i noticed how it works i just stopped playing blight after knowing how hug tech was becoming popular:
skill-expresion: Buddy please , you just look to the ground while looking a object and you slide and not only that you can easily turn your camera, there is no mindgame there you just use the slide to get close and the lethal rush to correct the aim.
(speed addons , hug tech , other broken addons , seems really BS to me and nothing stopping you from using them , yeah? )
if i gets fixed am ready to see a lot of posts about people needing hug tech to actually play blight , i just missed the days when people used to do insane pinball mindgames ; i love doing them but yeah the newer maps are a bit hard for that , still want hug deleted tho.
In skill expression i was meaning watching a blight slide around the entirety of killer shacks outside and hitting a survivor. Or hugteching around other big structures. Sure you can use it on the easier loops to. Which is again still is partially skillfull since you have to use it at the right time when the survivor opens themselves up to it.
-
Its fine. I know it was slated to get fixed like years ago. But with how long its been in the game. I feel people have gotten used to it basically being part of blights basekit. And i feel the quote of "it will be fixed" and how long its been since that point. Was either said without not actually being sure it was going to be fixed. Or its definitely taken longer than expected. Blights problems are his addon set being to good. Basekit wise hes fine and hug tech makes for some great moments and skill-expression.

You act like the ptb SM rework is exactly what will release. Stop complaining about something that hasnt even gone live yet, we havent even gotten a dev update on any changes yet. And wait to see what ACTUALLY releases. I know i for one love the skin. And playing the ptb SM. I think a few tweaks would make her perfect. They almost got it by giving her chase and not 3 gen central she was before.

Blocked gens have always been able to regress with perks such as Pain Res but they do not regress with passive regression - killers can't kick them, Hex Ruin doesn't work on them. It's the instant regression that works, that's by design and has always supposed to work in that way.
Like the people above pointed out. Multiple things that involve exploding gens have been fixed before to not work when they are blocked. PR was like that i think since it first released. And eruption had a bugfix so it specifically didn't.

Yeah, this is true, Overheat is probably now a bit more impactful on the moblity site, but to be honest, you usually dont run laps around the map unless you go for something gimmicky like Drift King Billy.
And I dont even think that it was added because of camping. I think that "the most balanced Killer" (as it was claimed by the community) was just not the "most balanced Killer" anymore after Killer got better and better over the years. And having the best mobility in the game and a quite easy to use Oneshot (especially because of the Add Ons since back-revving was very strong back then) was too much.
When it comes to the old Add Ons, Crack Billy (Engravings and Tuning Guide) or Instasaw (even tho it was not really Instasaw after Tinkerer was changed, but was still called like that) were nuts. And even the brown Add Ons were really, really strong. So it is in general good that they changed them.
When it comes to if a better FoV and collision would help Billy - yes, 100% sure of this. He would be more smooth to play and I dont really think that his strength is really a problem. It is his junkyness and the fact that you need Shadowborn to turn that down it a bit.
Also, I dont really know what to do with the Add Ons. If we consider that Overheat can be removed, those need new effects. And some of his really bad ones as well. But I fail to see some interesting Add Ons which can be created.
lopro was a interesting idea for a new addon which i really like the design of. Another idea was a addon to help make bamboozle not such a requirement. Billys basekit is really good (especially if they go the recommended route of probably raising his base saw speed to not make engravings mandatory and theyll probably remove overheat) so we could see more unique addons that just cover slight weaknesses for his power. Other addons they could just remove the dumb drawbacks like the purple making you 110 for basically the equivalent of old bulb. We'll have to see i guess.

Not throw the pallet to stun now that you know he has acidic blood? I mean not all addons will be obvious first chase.
Acidic Blood is an Ultra Rare Hidden Pursuit Add-on.When damaged, The Xenomorph's unique physiology made it deadlier than ever.
- Survivors stunning The Xenomorph within 20 seconds of it exiting the Tunnels, and while it is in Crawler Mode, immediately lose a Health State.
- Survivors in the Injured State will suffer from the Deep Wound Status Effect instead.

I would agree that Overheat can be removed because it does not serve any purpose anymore because it was watered down a lot.
However, when it was implemented, I think Overheat was a good thing. If you are good with Billy, you wont notice it anyway because your Chainsaw will most likely only need to cool down while you carry Survivors to the Hook. And a punishment for missing too many chainsaws was fine IMO. However, in retrospecit, I think removing Chargetime and Cooldown might have been enough. Because the bad Billy-players who got rewarded with Chainsaw Hits where those who had a combination of Chargetime and Cooldown (mostly Tuning Guide and Thompson Mix) because there was not really a punishment for missing. So the fact that those got removed probably would have been enough already.
But I totally agree with the Maps. Some Maps are just horrible for Billy because of all those little twigs and things which stick out at loops where you bump into. Also since they reworked his animations, he does not really feel good and Shadowborn is mandatory for me.
IMO if they fix the FoV and shrink his Chainsaw-Hitbox a bit (it is massive, makes it easier to hit Survivors, but also easier to bump into things), I think this would already help him a lot. And I think this would help more than removing Overheat or changing his Add-Ons.
Hm. If i remember correctly wesker or blight had similar collision issues to current billy. And they lowered the map collision hitbox while keeping the survivor collision the same. Which i don't know how good that would be for billy.

And you don't even need to hold flashlight for this bug. When you activate this bug for yourself, you can just give your flashlight to another survivor. So finding one flashlight will be enough.

Oh, it is holding the game hostage if the Killer has no desire to chase and down Survivors and just holds their 3-Gen.
I can search for the confirmation, if you actually want to change your opinion. If you would not change it even after I show you the post of a mod, I wont search.
But of that same note didnt they say if the survivors never even attempt to do the gens and just wait out the SM they are holding it hostage to?

I thought about placing this in bugs but since it's cheat rather than a bug (POSSIBLY an exploit cheat?) I thought maybe it should go here.
These survivors came into the match with seemingly only one of them using the cheat software/combo whatever it is. The most prominent cheater had For The People, and could run invincibly into a locker and simply crouch there. When their teammates got injured, they would run to the locker, the cheater with FTP would run out and instaheal them, then run back in invincible to heal up with self-care. The Ellen ragequit early when I caught her the second time before the Nea could heal her.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/8MLHPNRQLP42/20230910174538-1.jpg
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/OVCVC38BI6TK/20230910174802-1.jpg
The others stayed. The Bill is more debatable - although he ran straight through an M1 to get a rescue on the cheater (who everyone had seen cheating at this point) and then fell after she was safe, so it wasn't just lag - and the Ellen slightly more uncertain than even that. But the Haddie player was 110% grouped and cheating with the Nea player. Every time she got injured and had some distance, she would run back to the Nea for the insta-heal. In the end I slugged her, and she crawled back to the Nea who was crouching inside the hitbox of a locker, obviously anticipating an insta-heal. But since I could keep the Nea in tier 3, she bled out.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/671QA46IRNWK/20230910180216-1.jpg
Me being Doctor complicated things for them slightly because I could put the cheater(s) in Tier 3, but if I wanted to guard any gens of course I had to move. In retrospect I should have just picked up a book and sat in front of the locker the Nea player was 'inside' but I stepped away to look for hatch. The cheater, naturally, hopped out and instantly located and jumped into hatch.
I'm not sure if it's just cheat software or an exploit of a perk combo, but just in case i've shown the full perk display. Watch out.

Have any ideas for improving a bad/weak perk in the game? Feel free to share!
I'll go first:
Cut Loose: After vaulting a pallet or a window in a chase one time, the perk activates. For the next 10 seconds, all fast vaults in chase are silent and scratch marks after fast vaulting appear 2 seconds later. Each time you fast vault in a chase within the 10 second mark, the timer resets. The perk deactivates when out of a chase and goes into a 30 second cool down.
Thwack! - Any time you break a pallet or wall, all survivors within your terror radius scream and reveal their auras to you for 4 seconds. This perk has a cool down of 40 seconds.
the only two i have a idea for for now is Insidious:
Give it a lethal pursuer type effect where any durational undetectables are increased by 6-8-10 seconds. Pretty good for some perks like tinkerer or addons like chatterers tooth. Not as consistent as lethal pursuer since there's a lot less durational undetectables in dbd. But itd be a nice effect.
Territorial imperative: With anticamp coming in may be able to remove the range requirement since this effect might be strong if the killer does a basement hook but it'd fit the theme better. As well as the aura reading. It dims the area around the basement kinda like dredges nightfall and hinders, blinds, and oblivious survivors that enter the radius. Allowing a killer to get a sneaky interception if they enter the basement after them.

But that's the extent of their power. Legion in particular gets the first hit, but is then just an M1 killer if they don't get 5 chain-hits off.
As for Plague, you can heal against her. That's included in her power. If you don't, she's also just an M1 with improved mid-chase tracking.
Sadako is the best comparison, I guess, but even then she doesn't just know where you are when she teleports. And, once again, she's also just an M1 killer with some mindgame potential.
The thing with this Doc hypothetical is that everything mentioned is happening at once. You have no idea how far he is, you are not healing, period if you don't bring Inner Healing. He gets map-wide pings every minute or less, AND can force a map-wide DMS at the literal tap of a button. AND that's not even mentioning Doc has anti-loop.
i mean even with all doc has, he's not really good in the current gamestate. Probably because to make his antiloop actually comparable to other options available you need the purple and the green for making your shock stronger. They have been his go-tos to allow him to get better shocks for antiloop. The map wide ping is nice every 60 seconds but if ya can't get the downs your only stalling the inevitable ofc. But eitherway i was only up for making his default tr bigger and probably nerfing the calms so that he doesn't need a calm addon to play into his blast more by default. He could have say a 40 meter like wesker. Because having the 40 meters from calm makes your blast a good bit more consistent with the amount of extra ground it can cover.
-
@GentlemanFridge said:
A map-wide Terror Radius would be busted for various reasons.
He would get a map-wide ping every minute, through his Static Blast. Less with add-ons.
TR perks would be hilariously effective if it was map-wide. Coulrophobia in particular would just shut down healing almost entirely.
You'd have no way of knowing how far away he is. A constant TR is effectively no TR, information wise.
His passive Madness increase was removed when his power was overhauled years ago. He must zap or use Static Blast to increase madness.
@Seraphor said:
Coulrophobia + Sloppy Butcher + Ultimate Weapon = no more heals ever
tbf plague and legion exist. And on the map wide spread of power. i mean we got new sadako now who can actually kill you with her map wide increases. Doctor just stalls the team every 60 seconds if they go madness 3. But yeah honestly id just make his normal tr bigger to like 40 meters to not make the bigger tr such a mandatory thing using his addons. So you can use more of a spread.

I'll take an aura perk over a notification perk anyday everyday.
What you are describing is more likely a bug considering how Pain Resonance explosion was changed to not trigger DMS.
Nah I thought screams have always interrupted a action making you let go? Fufilling the requirement to have dms and merciless block it? Because pr was changed to interrupt you with the scream again. Blocking it with dms. So they just nerfed dms to 30 seconds from 45.
-
@Mr_K said:
Whenever you open a Locker, Ultimate Weapon activates for 30 seconds:
Survivors entering your Terror Radius scream and reveal their location to you.
Those Survivors suffer from Blindness Status Effect for 30 seconds.
Ultimate Weapon has a cool-down of 40/35/30 seconds.
You can't be serious. This is what passes as OP nowadays?
The only very strong thing about it ive seen is using it with dms/merciless storm for blocking gens. Maybe its good on movement killers but they could just use aura reveal. But most of the games with dms ultimate weapon merciless storm on doc still need to get the downs and stuff to make it work. Which can be difficult against some survivors.

+works even if survivor is hiding in a locker which is very inconsistent with other perk designs
+it's too oppressive on killers like nurse who can just teleport to a location
+it completely eliminates the stealth playstyle since killer can find out where you are whenever they please
+"bring calm spirit" isn't a valid argument dbd isn't a counterpick card game
+cooldown is irrelevantly low so it usually leads to slugfests

It would be pretty funny if this was chapter 30, going from one of the true icons of horror to this lame PG-13 garbage.
No longer the "Horror Hall of Fame" but rather the hall of literally any old shite.
Didnt people say they wanted horror icons from other media like games? We got bill and people wanted more horror game icons. This is one of the biggest going by viewrate and downloads. Pretty much everyone knows it as its literally one of the biggest marketed games of horror.

That’s one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever laid eyes on, so it’s a terminator endoskeleton rip off with ears and a large foot,
Actually its a robotic suit that went over the body of the main antagonist of the games and books, who murdered 5-7 children behind the pizzeria. To protect him from the ghosts of the spirits of the kids he killed. The suit locked up and dug into his body killing him instantly and making a large pool of blood beneath him. His spirit continued to exist in the suit causing it to move on its own until a security guard burned down the place it resided in. Then a new company took it over leaving it under their building. Which it broke out temporarily until the suit got destroyed completly. Hell i barely involve myself in this stuff and i know the springtrap-burntrap stuff.
