Not trying to "break" any Killers, that's not the intention. The intention is to counter a strong and often complained about mechanic while sacrificing yourself being revealed.
I understand the hesistance and welcome the discussion.

I think it would make more sense to build perks around Undetectable, because then this perk would work in way more situations:
- Wraith
- Ghost Face
- Pig
- Myers
- Demo (after he teleports)
- Insidious users
- Spirit possibly (does her husk emit the terror radius, so her phasing is undetectable? not sure)
Did I miss some?
Even then I feel like showing where they are at all times would be OP
You guys seem to want to make it more encompassing to counter more Killers, I think being only against Invisible Killers kind of balances the idea, often times the perk is useless.
As far as Spirit not being able to see auras while phased, this perk would overrule that, she could see you and, you could see her.

In your first post you said this would counter 3 or 4 Killers, which 3 or 4 are these then if we're talking about true "invisibility"? I assumed what you really meant was stealth Killers who can use undetectable status (which would be GF, Myers, Wraith)
Spirit, Wraith, Freddy, and possibly Nurse although, I'm not sure that is really invisible.
-
@JPA said:
Adding a perk which reveals invisible Killers would completely ruin the game for stealth Killers, you're basically completely denying Ghost Face's power, or making the early game too difficult for Michael.
Stealth already has a counter, which is to use your eyes and ears and not play like a bot, failing that, you can use Spine Chill.
As always, SWF would abuse such a perk the most, imagine you are playing Ghost Face against a team in comms, one person has this perk. The whole team now knows where you are whenever you use your power, so you're in fact getting punished for using your power, and you have little chance to win.
Ghost and Myers are never "invisible", you can always see them physically.

@GannTM said:
So a perk that’s useless against 22 killers but will be oppressive against just Spirit and Wraith? Absolutely not a good idea.
Is it oppresive if you are also revealed? Remember these Killers are crazy fast while invisible. Don't forget that Freddy can be invisible too.
-
Also, it wouldn't have any affect against Killers who are never invisible.

Isn't because your team is bad that all others will be and otherwise. the question is that if any of teams enter with play to win at all costs the game is unberable for killer.
How often does this happen though? I'm not Killer main, so I'm not playing Red ranked Killer enough to know how often they lose to an OP SWF. I'm guessing it's not very often as, I've asked on this forum "How often do you lose as Killer?" and, they basically laughed at me. "Lose? As Killer? In DBD?." 🤣
I do admit that 4 skilled players on comms can be very powerful and, that is winning by any means.
Kinda the same when a skilled Killer can Nurse slug everyone in 5 minutes, that's unbearable as Survivor but, it doesn't happen that often in my experience.

'Proxy camp' is such a BS term. It was invented to claim a Killer is camping, even if he does not camp, I'm sure of it. I'm sure it went something like this:
*Killer hooks Survivor* 'I'm walking away from the hook. I am not camping. Don't complain."
*Killer walks away.*
*Survivor #2 unhooks Survivor #1*
*Survivors start healing under the hook.*
*Killer returns* *Killer downs Survivors*
End Game Chat:
Survivors: Reee! You camped!
Killer: I left the hook, kicked a gen, and went hunting for Survivors when you got unhooked. You were half-way healed by the time I got back to the hook. I WAS ACROSS THE MAP!
Survivor: You...You PROXY camped! Same thing!
Killer: 🤦♂️
Proxy camp is a thing.
Faced a Bubba who walked away every hook and returned every time. Just enough for terror radius to fade then comes back. This is how he scored every down aside from the first.
If someone hadn't already saved me from the hook and gone down, I would'nt have even bothered to try to save anyone but, I felt obligated not to let my teammate hang there.
I guess, I get it just seems kinda lame to me. By hooking a survivor you are already pulling at least two Survivors off main objective. If you have basically any reveal information you can pressure a third Survivor off main objective, that's a lot of pressure.
But no, just return to the hook to harass the same people who already aren't doing gens, whatever.
-
As survivor, being able to play a match for more than five minutes without being slugged, camped or tunneled is enough for me.
As Killer, you know when you've out played a team. I don't really sweat the 4K and usually give hatch to the last person standing.
-
I would like some idea he's close before I get shot at, that would be nice.

I do dh is still way more common than wraith. The wraiths that I struggle with are the ones who.dont commit to me when I get to a good spot. Sorta like. stealth killers not supposed to be a massive chase killer
That's exactly what I mean, Wraith is to be played by stealthing up to unsuspecting survivors and get the "free" hit. Re-cloak and chase them down to finish. if they make it to a strong tile, don't loop with them. Abandon that chase and go surprise someone else. You are fast enough to do this, baskekit. Add some decent add-ons and it's silly.
-
Walking Dead.
Add zombies to every game and guns that only work on zombies.
Nemesis would have two more zombies than any other Killer.

You know what, just add a 20-minute match limit. It works for Friday the 13th.
The map is also huge in Friday 13th and you can beat the Killer with weapons.
-
Poeple assume SWF is OP.
My whole team is bad and, I would generally assume the same for most people who just want to play with friends.
Now all Red ranked SWF might be another issue but, how many people is that, my guess, not many.
-
Spirit will remain broken, it's a Killer for those who are bad at the game.
-
Im down with it as long as Survivors get Kindred base kit.
-
We all realise Kill rate is already 60% and you want to nerf keys... smh.
-
Well, log in solo Survivor and tell me what you think next time you face a decent Wraith.
He moves too damn fast, yes people used to use add-ons to do this, now they dont have to, so they get all the best benefit plus another add-on slot.
Trying to flashlight him is ridiculous, he's too fast and, thats if you caught his shimmer right away, trust me, I've tried.
His add-ons are ridiculous, all seeing and silent bell are far too powerful.
Yes, he can be looped but, if you are looping as Wraith, you already did it wrong.
-
How many hours do you have in game?
What Killer's and Perks are you using?
-
I do it when the Killer is nearby to signal that he is camping, also to make noise so the Killer might not hear nearby survivors.
-
It's not taking hostage but, generally not much fun on the survivor side, especially if it's a slugfest off the bat. You spend more time lying on the ground then playing and you are getting very little BP's.

Yeah I play some solo Q survivor lol I am still pretty ######### at it though.
It's rough man, I dont blame you.
-
I think it boils down to oppressive Killers and builds. Blights all seem to run the same build which is an oppressive Meta build.
I don't know the statistics but, I would assume a majority of games are against solo survivors, the weakest link in the game. Know it all Killers with meta builds slice through like hot butter, it gets old.
-
If you were looking for a challenge come play some solo Q survivor.
Main whatever you like, once you master Killer, it really doesn't matter unless you get paired with skilled SWF team, you MIGHT lose... shocking! 😱
-
Pallets should be Survivor sided, that's the whole point of pallets. I'm sorry you no longer get free hits through pallets.

Shouldn't it be OoO then? >_>
Anyway it should block it, but i find it kinda pointless to pair them
Haha, yeah it should be OoO.
My brain sometimes.
-
Killers that lack counterplay and ignore your strongest defense as Survivor, pallets and windows. It's like what the hell am I even trying for?
-
When, I dodge several Huntress hatchets, she is being punished.
When Trickter misses three blades, he throws ten more.
I like the concept but, application is bad. There is not much punishment for missing.
Now with less knives, maybe there is a little punishment for spamming. Maybe you got the injured but, you spammed too much and will need to reload.
I think this is a step in the right direction considering the drop of 6 as opposed to 8, a bit of trade off.
-
They really should have not made the RCPD and instead made a Racoon City map, much like Dead Dawg but modern urban with ruined burning cars all over the place and few accessible buildings.
It's a tough map for both sides, I have a really hard time finding generators or a quick way to get where I need to go.
It does bring a completely new map style to DBD though for better or worse.

My swf has our version of Jack except he isn't drunk -.- We have a rule where the first 20 secs of the match he has to hide in a locker so he isn't found first.
That's a great idea, using this next time!

@MarcoPoloYolo said:
Can we have a counter for all the inevitable complaints about Trickster that are applicable to Huntress?
Not so much, Huntress has to aim, is severely slowed down, penalized for missing, can't spam hatchets everywhere, needs to reload often.
-
I don't know what rank you are but, playing SWF at Purple / Red is about your only choice for a decent game.
My friends are all fairly bad at the game and don't play very much so, it's not really that much of an advantage anyway.
It does allow us to not rely on information perks and frees up a perk slot.
Good Killers still wreck us though.
-
If the ranking system actually separated us from Red rank sweat lords, they would have no one to play with.
-
@WeenieDog said:
Now that I think about.... Did they ever change the edge of revival + cut thru u combo?
otherwise, 4 knifes to injure/down is kind of ... yikes.
I believe the add-ons to decrease knives is removed.
-
I play solo Q Survivor because, I hate myself and I haven't come to terms with it yet.
-
There is nothing fair about this game so let's just be clear. The game gives Killers every tool imaginable to break stealthy players forcing them into "looping" which most people are bad at and, many Killers can just flat out ignore your strongest options like pallets and windows.
Your only hope is that at least one player on your team is god tier looper with over 1k hours in the game that doesn't make mistakes. Even then, a smart Killer will just abandon them and pick off the weaker links.
So your only real option is to have 3 friends who are all great at the game and, you should also be great at the game because you need to play "Loop Until Daylight".

But usually in egc both gates are open are 99ed, so letting someone to trade hooks are very hard because of so many second chance perks, hooked survivors is going get unhooked and probably going have bt, ds, and their exhaustion perks are usually back up after they get unhooked. Unless you have noed you basically hurting yourself giving survivors room to unhook during egc, especially if you hook near a gate. Besides if they’re a swf they can easily coordinate a unhook against a camping killer
I understand, you really want the kill.
I think the emphasis I try to bring to the game is to play for fun and not sweat so much over killing or escaping.
Yes, you take a risk by not camping the hook if good teammates try to come back for him. They are taking a risk of going down or trading as well. I'm ont saying give them a free save, you should try to intercept them and create more downs, I've seen it happen plenty.
I could just walk out with my extra 5K, it's the safe thing to do but, is it fun?
Is it fun to stand there and stare at the guy on the hook?
Play how you like.
-
If I have to run from Victor 2.0 for hundreds of games, I'm done.
-
Solo is weak and frustrating. If you are playing at high ranks like 10+, you can still experience decent games, mostly because the Killer is bad. Once you get into Purple and Red Killers, better hope you have a decent team.
-
You could still try to engage the other players. They are likely skalking around trying to find a way to save their teammate.
Plenty of times, I should have just left out the gate but, I go back to try to save and end up trading places or, just give the Killer another down.
It's more engaging, more chase, more play, instead of just ending it. You should welcome the extra play.
-
Don't hate the players, hate the game.
BHVR should fix their broke ass game.
The only thing that can challenge these meta killers is SWF and that's only if everyone is actually good.
I'm not surprised you are getting DC's. Not surprised at all.
-
You have very little control as a solo survivor. All you can do is play your best and hope gens get done or, that the Killer ends it painlessly.

I don't think he's OP, and one thing I do enjoy about these matches is the little ring around the rosie games I play with the zombies when I'm on a gen. I guess you're right and I'm facing a lot of good killers?
It's not even that I "lose" a lot against him. I escape just fine, I guess I'll just watch myself more and see if I can't pinpoint the moments where I'm just "ugh" when I'm playing against him.
Note that he is Probably running Lethal Pursuer and can see you at the start of the trial. This has changed the start of trials for me, big time.
-
I'm to the point that BBQ and Kindred mechanics should be given to each respective side, basekit.
-
Chucky and FNAF would probably kill it for me. I can't play through hundreds of games of that.
-
I enjoy playing and facing Nemesis. I don't think he's overpowered and the fresh A.I. zombies bring something new to the match.
I'm not sure why you feel this way about Nemesis. A good player can make any Killer feel oppressive.
-
A sluggy Killer is going to have faster games. I think that's the intention of Billy, if you can land good chainsaws.
It also isnt rewarded in terms of BP's and Pips so, I would only play this way if it's really fun for you.
Note, that it's probably not much fun for Survivors and they will likely leave with little BP's and depip as well.

Those options exist here were it not for bad map design and matchmaking in many cases. People would be surprised at how balanced competitive play can be when random factors are controlled. So many of this game's balance issues stem from the fact that neither side has any idea what to expect going into a match or how to prepare
Agreed, a good SWF can stand up to a skilled Meta Killer but, nobody knows what they are facing. Solo's get the short end of the stick here, unfortunately.

Bring meme Perks/Addons as Survivor? You're just screwing your team over by not bringing the meta. (Hey Borrowed Time, Kindred, staple solo Perks)
Bring meme Perks/Addons as a Killer? Better hope your Killer skill is god-like so you get the time to actually use them.
Can't make fun builds/strategies work if you can't catch Survivors, nor pull off a meme build as Survivor if you're on the Hook all the time, or the Killer is just tunneling your teammates.
This is why I like the Hatch, want NOED(delayed)/Corrupt(zoning)/Keys(delayed) base kit, and an after-death state for Survivors.
course there is an expectation set that Killers and Survivors must either 4K/4E to be considered good (Thanks Otz...), especially since there's nothing you can do as Survivor once you're sacrificed.
Regarding the BP addons:
casual - not a lot of BP, if the effect feels bad won't use it.
competitive - will probably get more BP from my Power being better, why hinder myself?
I actually run meme builds as Survivor quite often because, I'm likely going to die anyway.
Breakout / Sabotage / Spinechill / Dead Hard is my favorite loadout.
Yeah, if I ran Decisive Strike / Unbreakable / Dead Hard / Borrowed time, I might survive more but, what's the fun in that?
