Any potential Dredge mains here?
Idk about dredge main but I’ll definitely play him quite a bit.

You forgot to add “it’s needed against Nurse or you die in 20 seconds” which is a very fair argument.
Nerf DH and nerf Nurse. Problem solved
-
No, I already knew it was popular and extremely overpowered. This isn't really surprising information.
-
It doesn't happen too often, so when it does I don't have a problem with it.
-
I will P3 a few characters that I don't have a ton of stuff on.
But I'm not gonna P3 my main characters on either side, they just have too much stuff already and it's not worth it.
-
If you want to shake up the meta then yes.
-
I don’t think it’s an issue.
-
It just needs to be optional and it's fine.
-
It's a good change regardless of the addon. Bodyblocking jigsaw boxes has always been stupid and should never be viable
-
I think it's fine. I don't like it or dislike it any more than the old one.

For me, definitely pyramid head. His 1 vs 1 is so powerful, he can actually bully even skilled survivors, assuming you have learned how to play him effectively.
Nemesis is close but the extra steps to be able to harm the survivors with his power, plus their ability to reset it puts him at a disadvantage.
For me it's that plus his ability to ignore DS that puts him at the top.
-
It's a buff in that you get an extra item but a nerf in that you may not get your medkit right away when you really want it.
Tbh part of me thinks they put the rummage action on Residual partly just to ensure these two perks wouldn't conflict with each other if you used both.
-
Yeah Dredge once they fix the Nightfall bugs is looking to be a solid killer but unfortunately he pretty much completely overshadows Sadako. Hopefully they will look at her again.
-
Pyramid head.
-
I'm looking forward to it as well.
It needs to be done properly, and they also need to consider WHY those perks are meta in terms of the baseline changes that end up coming with it. But if it's done well then this is going to be great for the game I think.
-
Well it’s pretty much confirmed as of yesterday it will be getting changes since it was one of the top 5 perks they listed in the anniversary stream.
-
Last week I had two instances of all my solo queue teammates getting hit with frenzy and the 3rd unhooked me as they got hit. So I got instadowned off hook and immediately tunneled out since there was nowhere for me to run.
I feel you.
-
Nemesis himself is fine. His zombies are not.
-
Blood Debt is terrible design and I wish they would stop making more of them.
-
I doubt that’s intended. You should submit a bug report for that.
-
Not a bug. RPD breaks normal hatch rules and it can spawn on any floor including the 3rd floor library.
-
Mandy mentioned in another thread that the “distinct P3 reward” requires reaching P3 before that update goes live, so no, they’re not the same.
She didn’t say what the reward was but she did say it’s not a charm or cosmetic.
-
Yep it’s not a bad combo at all. It lets the other person do the gen 15% faster while you selfcare for 32 seconds.
Let’s assume the gen is at 0 when you start.
You take 32 seconds to heal, other surv does gen solo for 32 seconds at 1.15 speed. 32 * 1.15 = 36.8. This is the amount of gen progression they’ve made (in charges) while you were healing.
Then you finish the generator with them. You both have a 15% bonus, and a 15% efficiency debuff. 1.15(1 - 0.15) = (0.9775).
0.9775(2) = 1.955 (combined repair speed)
80 - 36.8 = 43.2 (gen charges remaining)
43.2 / 1.955 = 22.10
So you’ve healed and finished the gen with your teammate in 22.10 + 32 = 54.10 seconds.
If you let your teammate heal you instead (without selfcare) that’s 16 seconds, and then the entire generator will take 80 / 1.955 = 40.92 with prove thyself only. Adding the healing time makes it 56.92. So you save almost 3 seconds for yourself and for your teammate by selfcaring near your teammate.

For the love of The Entity, I hope this means that the BBQ BP bonus is getting baked in baseline.
Honestly with the upcoming progression overhaul that may not be necessary.
-
Yep. If you P3 then you get the tier 3 perks on all characters.
-
Congrats! You are very talented with your art skills.
-
I hope so. You can’t nerf BT and DS otherwise without it being a bad idea.
-
Agree, not just for hatch but also for other situations where hooks matter, eg. archives or killer adepts.
Otherwise I really like this change.
-
If you want the meta to change then yes.
Although, I will admit I don’t see how they can really nerf selfcare without making it garbage tier.

Dredge doesn't get the option to remove someone from the game by teleporting to a locker next to them hello?
That never happens anyways.
-
It just leaves her feeling even more weak. She’s fun but she needs some help.

Dredge with devour seems better. As long as a revenant attack isn't considered a special attack.
It’s not a special attack, it’s just a teleport and then you can do whatever including a basic attack. Devour hope will be fun on this killer for sure
-
I am hoping part of their baseline changes address why corrupt (and other slowdown) is used as often as it is. If it’s just nerfed and nothing else happens that’s not going to be good.
It needs to change if we want meta to change in a good way, but it’s a valid concern.

Tell me when the last time survivors got a buff before a ptb release? Tell me last time survivors actually got a buff?
Faster wiggling with skill checks as well as the removal of the (little-known) wiggle regression mechanic in 5.5.2.
Trying to argue that the devs only care about one specific side of the game and don’t care about the other side is completely ridiculous.
-
If it was any less than 4 minutes that could make tactical bleedouts (instead of hooking) a more viable strategy which it doesn’t need to be.
-
Keys don’t need to be basekit.
Neither did moris really, but I’m mostly fine with the way they chose to implement it since it was the only way to really do it without significantly affecting the game.
-
There is no way to predict that without seeing the changes.
But hopefully whatever it is, it is far more diverse than what we have now. And that goes for both sides.

IMO with the massive grind reduction the Bonus-BP can easily be removed. Bringing a Killer vom P0 to P3 and getting all their Perks on every other Killer is a huge improvement. Same for Survivors (even if it is a bit sad that I have 0 reason now to play any other Survivor than my Main).
And my biggest gripe with BBQ was always that it should be an incentive to not tunnel or camp, but even if the Killer does that, they still get double BPs.
However, if they remove the BP-Bonus from BBQ, they would probably also remove it from WGLF and then they would probably need to give it another effect. Like, only Aura Read for BBQ is still ok (not great, but also not weak), but Speed Increase while healing people on the ground is a bit lackluster.
I don’t even think WGLF would be that bad without the bonus points, but definitely more niche than BBQ’s effect since you need the killer to slug in order to use it. So yeah, it could maybe use something else, not sure what would be best tbh. But we’ll see what they end up doing with BBQ.
-
I wouldn’t be surprised if they just remove the BP bonus from BBQ and then leave it alone. At first I was thinking “please don’t remove the points it’s not an OP perk” but the more I think about it, the progression rework makes that less important anyways. And the aura reading is not overpowered at all.
-
I agree, and not just because of hatch, but also because of things that require hooks, for example BBQ stack, archives, or even for the purposes of emblems - all of these could be impeded if you don’t even have the option to hook.
But otherwise yes I think this is a perfect change and I can’t wait.

Because then I need to prestige in order for it to save any grind. If this is only a piece of a larger plan then it's an okay start. If this was it for their big fix it's garbage.
Yes but you no longer lose your inventory when you prestige. So there's no downside to it whatsoever

Meta perks don't need to be touched. The weaker perks need to be buffed or work better to coincide with other perks
They need to touch both.
If you only nerf the meta and all perks just suck, that's bad.
If you only buff weak perks, for the most part they still won't compete with the existing meta unless they are buffed to a point of being too strong or abusable. This is what happened with boil over and COH, and both had to be nerfed.
-
I'm hoping it includes a noed rework yeah.

The actual best way would be to allow the option to mori the final survivor by holding down the attack button exactly the way it works right now instead of having it be an involuntary action that completely prevents any kind of bonding moment.
I would be fine with that.
-
My basically one and only concern is the interaction with things that require hooks such as BBQ stacks or archive challenges where you need to hook survivors, as being forced to mori could negatively impact progress on these kinds of things. But other than that I think this was the best way to incorporate moris into the killer's basekit and I'm excited for this to go live.
-
I mean if they make BT baseline in some form then it might be fine. No idea what they plan to do with DS though and I am a bit worried about that one.
-
I was wondering the exact same thing when I read that. Some clarification on this would be really helpful.
-
Excellent summary, thanks for taking the time!
-
Yeah sounds like you need to just not down them.
I think this change is fine though, this was really the only way to incorporate basekit moris without giving the killer a significant advantage.

It does, can confirm. You may want to second guess blessing a totem if they're running those two together.
Thanks for the reply. That combo seems pretty solid then.
-
I agree. BBQ is only super common due to the bloodpoints. The effect is nice but it’s not overpowered at all and if that was all it did I would not use it nearly as often.
