Why was there nothing discussed about Keys being basekit?

Last year the Devs stated that they will make Mori’s and Keys basekit. They did that with Mori with the (Finisher Mori) but what about Survivors? Why was there nothing mentioned about that during the Anniversary Stream?

    Keys don’t need to be basekit.

    Neither did moris really, but I’m mostly fine with the way they chose to implement it since it was the only way to really do it without significantly affecting the game.

    Only yellow mori should be basekit. Dunno about keys since the hatch have been changed too much.

    But at least keys and their add ons should get some buffs and/or do something completely else than open hatch cause right now they are kinda useless

    In the past they changed hatch/keys and moris in different moments, there's no reason to think that since they haven't mentioned it yet they haven't something planned. The two systems are not strictly tied to eachother, so changing one doesn't require to change the other at the same time.

    I´m not sure if you´re asking for a key nerf here. Since thats another nerf to moris.

    There’s honestly nothing you could do to make keys more useless at this point lol

    Thats what people thought about Moris and here we are.
