Killer Name: The Weaver
Appearance: A hunched over man, with night vision goggles that have 6 eyes instead of one. Weapon is a sickle.
Speed: 115% (4.6m/s)
Terror Radius: 32 meters
Height: Average
Power: Entangled Mesh
Primary Ability - Cobwebs
Cobwebs has 5 charges, which can be spent by holding m2 for half of a second, where the Weaver places a large web on the ground that covers a 3 meter radius around where the Weaver held m2. 1 charge is gained every 60 seconds, and there is no max to how many webs can be on a map. While walking on a web, Survivors are marked with Killer Instinct. While running, however, the web will entangle a Survivor, holding them in place for 5 seconds. During this time all Survivors within 24 meters of the trapped Survivor are marked by Killer Instinct. Other Survivors can free Survivors from webs, but if they do they are marked by Killer Instinct for 30 seconds. While crouching, Survivors are inflicted by the Hindered status effect and slowed by 10%, but no other effect will happen. Webs disappear when a Survivor runs over them, a Survivor tears it apart (takes 5 seconds and notifies the Weaver when the web is destroyed,) or they naturally despawn after 120 seconds.
Secondary Ability - Night Watcher
Clicking CTRL will highlight the auras of all objects in the Weavers line of sight for 3 seconds, even if they leave line of sight. The aura highlight isn't instant, acting like a sonar would. Survivors are highlighted red, pallets and windows are highlighted yellow, and Killer belongings are highlighted pink. This has a max range of 24 meters.
Holding CTRL for 2 seconds, though, switches the Weaver to night vision mode, where the Weaver slows down to 110% speed and has his Terror Radius decreased to 16 meters. While in this mode, everything will be a shade of green, with Survivors being bright lime green. While in night vision mode, stuns from a flashlight last 50% longer. Holding CTRL for another 2 seconds will swap back to normal mode. While swapping between modes, the Weaver slows down to 105% speed.
Add-ons:
Brown Add-ons
- Torn Egg Sack - Increases the max charge of Cobwebs by 1.
- Clean Lense - A red line marks the max distance the first effect of Night Watcher reaches.
- Locust Infested Wheat - Decreases the max charges of Cobwebs by 2. Increases Bloodpoints for Snagged Score Events by 100%.
- Low Dose: Brown Recluse Venom - Being snagged in a web inflicts the Hemorrhage status effect for 60 seconds.
Yellow Add-ons
- Opened Egg Sack - Increases the max charges of Cobwebs by 1. Slightly increases the charge regeneration rate.
- Foggy Lense - Slightly increases the range of the first effect of Night Watcher. Slightly decreases the time it takes to swap between regular and night vision modes.
- Milk Jar - Moderately increases the speed of the Weaver while swapping between regular and night vision modes.
- Low Dose: Wandering Venom - Being snagged in a web inflicts Exhaustion for 10 seconds.
- Torched Spider - Slightly decreases the time it takes to place a web.
Green Add-ons
- Preserved Egg Sack - Increases the max charges of Cobwebs by 2. Moderately decreases the charge regeneration rate.
- Detached Spider Legs - Tremendously increases the speed of the Weaver while swapping between regular and night vision modes. Slightly increases the speed of the Weaver while in night vision mode.
- Frosted Spider - Slightly increases the time it takes to place a web. Moderately increases the radius a web covers.
- High Dose: Brown Recluse Venom - Being snagged in a web injures the snagged Survivor and inflicts Deep Wounds after they escape the web. For 10 seconds after escaping a web, a Survivor doesn't leave blood trails.
- Silk String - Moderately increases the time it takes to escape a web by yourself.
Purple Add-ons
- Cracked Lense - Moderately decreases the time it takes to swap between regular and night vision modes.
- High Dose: Wandering Venom - Deactivates a Survivors exhaustion perk (if they have one) when they escape a web for 30 seconds. Moderately mangles a Survivor for 100 seconds if they either escape a web or help another Survivor escape a web while injured.
- Black Widow Carcass - Survivors who are hit while trapped in a web are inflicted with the Broken status effect for 60 seconds. The time it takes to place a web is slightly increased.
- Charred Tarantula - Moderately decreases the time it takes to place a web. Slightly decreases the radius a web covers.
Iridescent Add-ons
- Iridescent Lense - Tremendously decreases the time it takes to swap between regular and night vision modes. Moderately decreases the speed of the Weaver while in night vision mode. Survivors who are looked at for 20 seconds total while the Weaver is in night vision mode are Exposed and marked by Killer Instinct for 30 seconds. Considerably decreases the time it takes to escape a web by yourself.
- Funnel Web Fangs - Basic attacks on Survivors who are snagged in a web instantly down Survivors. While carrying a Survivor who was put to the Dying State within 10 seconds of escaping a web, or while trapped in a web, the Weaver moves tremendously faster and has a considerably decreased cooldown between missed swings. Slightly increases the range of Night Watcher's first effect.
Perks:
Desperate Darkness - After hooking a Survivor, if there are 3 generators remaining that are uncompleted, all 3 generators are blocked by the Entity for 15 seconds, and you gain the Undetectable status effect for 60/70/80 seconds.
Cleithrophobia - For every generator remaining uncompleted when you hook a Survivor, all other Survivors have their Repairing, Healing, and Cleansing speeds decreased by 4/5/6% until the hooked Survivor is unhooked.
Obsessive Dependence - You become obsessed with one Survivor. While within 32 meters of the Obsession, you gain 5/10/15% Haste. If a pallet that has been thrown down or a generator has been worked on by anybody but the Obsession, you destroy it 20% faster. If the Obsession has been sacrificed or killed, while in a chase your speed is decreased by 5%. If the Obsession changes, this perk is deactivated. You can only be obsessed with 1 Survivor at a time.
SURVIVOR NAME: charlee freeman
Gender: Male
Eye Color: Green
Hair Color: Ginger
Hitbox: Sort of a mix between the generic male and female hitboxes.
Perks:
Darkborn - For every uncompleted generator on the map, you can see the aura of the Killer for 1 second at the beginning of a chase. For 3/6/9 seconds after being unhooked, the Killer's aura is revealed to you and the Survivor who unhooked you.
Cross the Line - Each time you complete a generator, this perk gains 1 Token. When the final gen is completed, this perk loses all of its Tokens and is now active. When you take a hit, for 2 seconds per Token, you run at 150% movement speed, and all action speeds are 10% faster. This cannot be used while Exhausted. Cross the Line triggers the Exhausted status effect for 60/50/40 seconds. You do not recover from Exhaustion while running.
Unburden - When your item runs out of charges, gain a 30% increase to Repair, Healing, Cleansing and Sabotaging speeds for the next 6/8/10 seconds.
MAP: Infested Dungeon
Description:
There is a main building, which is a large house with 2 stories. The main building is always in the center of the map. A generator will always be on the first floor but not the second. The house has 1 window and 1 pallet on the second floor, as well as 2 windows and no pallets on the first. There are 2 doors to get into the house.
There is a staircase in the building that goes down, leading to a large dungeon which is dark and maze-like. The dungeon is about half the size of the above-ground map. It has a few safe pallets, but very few windows and very low visibility. There would be 2 generators in the dungeon. The basement can spawn in the dungeon, right next to the staircase going into it. There are 4 entrances to the dungeon around the map, as well, which have fixed spawn points around the house. The additional entrances are always entrances to the edges of the dungeon.
The rest of the map is standard, with a Killer Shack being able to spawn in any corner of it.
The map shape itself is perfectly square.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/KQHNYPQH1XRU/image.png
(Very rough idea of the house)
Thank you for reading this! This was very experimental in how it was formatted, and I've never done a full chapter before, so if you have any feedback or suggestions that would be greatly appreciated!
Its sounds like a weird demo I can't even tell if they are better or worse

They don't need to be busted or OP they could just be dumb things like each survivor has one of their perks built into them or something so there is a reason to play Quentin or Laurie. Survivor just feels boring and there isn't any individual identity for each survivor besides being a skin.
I would be ok if it was cheesy voice lines like David would say is that all ye ave

I dont know how I feel about this like ruvik sounds cool but like once you find out its one of the lost is there really any reason to get off the gen or did I miss something

I'm about 100 hrs into the game. Started playing about a week before the alst Rift was complete so I didn't bother getting the battle pass (or Rift pass, excuse me). I just assumed another one would be popping right up in a week or so but nothing has come up yet and any google search I do looking for information isn't shedding any light. Can anyone tell me about how long it takes for a new Rift pass and whether we can expect one anytime soon? I've fallen in love with being a killer main and I'd like to do the Rift pass next time it comes around. Thanks!
There will be another one probably when the next killer comes out or the mid chapter patch (when clown gets his rework)
*edit a few days if it arrives with clown buff about a month and a half if it arrives with the new killer

Having EGC start when the gates are powered
Open Handed- the buff they had was good
Hangman's Trick- hooks take 2/3/4 more seconds to sabo and reveals auras of survivors attempting to sabo
Lightweight- Scratch marks appear faded and disappear 1/2/3 seconds faster
Status effects trigger different types of skillchecks until the survivor(s) recovered/healed:
Exhausted- no great skillcheck zone (an indirect buff to Mindbreaker)
Mangled- great skillcheck zone appears randomly (within the skillcheck)
Hemorrhage- Old Ruin effect (gives hemorrhage a massive buff)
Broken- Skillcheck appears "broken" in two ( like [ ] [ ] and no great skillcheck zone)
ETC...
Add two more totems to the map (equal to the number of gens... or make it a killer offering)... would make Hexes a little stronger and actually be a secondary objective for survivors
Daja Vu- auras of the three farthest gens are visible for the duration (like Corrupt for survivors)
Very interesting I like the ideas the but the decs wouldn't bring back old ruin devs would have to make an advance tutorial to help newer players and it would give techintion a massive value (I am haveing a moment and can't spell it to save me so ik its spelt wrong)

How dare you tarnish the Demo profile picture with your blatant survivor-sided excuse of DS being okay, nay, even suggesting a buff so the following nerf amounts to nothing, then strike such a comment and poke fun at killers losing yet another good perk.
It's fine he got called out pretty hard in a another thread

Put five bad matches in a row, and the Killer dissapears! Usually I take my lumps, but I am well and truly done with the mmr and getting sh*t talked by people who come down to noob level to feel good about themselves tonight.
Just trying to relax and have a good time, should have been obvious from my perk selection aside from Billy, don't get how folk can think talking/treating people like crap is okay. I get that some folk get competitive, but je-zues, when shooting fish in a barrel ya can't really justify sh*t talking like Michael Jordan.
Got my first dc penalty too, just to add that extra spice. If ya guys were wondering if it only affects people who constantly dc, it doesn't. Seriously feeling like a steak under the tenderizer right now and the games just rubbing it in.
Ugh. See ya in the fog tomorrow, good luck out there guys and Happy Hunting/Escaping.
Here I can help you with your perk loadout playstyle will come with time and yt vids
but for doc
you can use any of these perks for effective value
Whispers bbq iron madin discordance distressing
All of these perks help him keep the chase with use of your static blast
bbq /iron madinmakes it where they can't hide from you hook one see them from afar move over there blast if you hit none they may be in a locker and when they leave they are revealed to you and exposed for a short time
Discordance also helps you with gen pressure and getting into a chase and distressing increases the range of your static blast as well as the addons
Whispers just tells you when someone is near so that's a good time to blast
And then you have all the gen delay/regression perks all good picks
This part is when experince takes place your shock can deny pallet drops or vaults so if you time it right they will get shocked and can't do anything except run
Spirit
is mostly just experince and a good headset and predictions stridor can help you keep an idea where they are going but sloppy and stridor is good because they are injured for longer and stridor makes them louder overall
Billy
try to go for the chainsaw if you can but if they are at a good spot / a strong window just go for a basic attack same thing if they are injured
Any perks that help with info and gen regression are good picks for him and sometimes you can get away with mototor and abuse on him for a cross map hit if they aren't paying attention
Legion
Thanata phobia that's the only perk that I know that good for him that and gen regression

Some other ideas-
If you have Second Wind activated and Deliverance, Second Wind heals you when the 60 second timer is broken.
Brutal Strength let's you cancel pallet breaks, similar to how you can cancel generator breaks. It'd be neat for mindgames.
Adding on your idea for brutal you kick it once like normal and you can cancel it leaving one more kick to break it reducing time to break it when you kick it later

Probably like 20 to 15 seconds. Enough time to set something up, but to the point where the perk can become a threat.
It would still be a neich perk but I guess it adds a bit of a threat it could be useful if it keeps the scream when you leave a locker

Repressed Alliance: reduces the time needed repairing gens to 40 seconds
Could be worth a test in ptb because that could be very strong or the same as is normally

Make Iron Maiden damage you if you stay in a locker for too long.
Interesting how long is too long because people often get in a locker to avoid bbq or messing around with head on or ds

But if the timer pauses while downed or in chase, one of the huge complaints about DS remains - if it gets triggered while the gates are open, the Survivor is guaranteed the escape if closer than 150m to the gate, rendering any action the Killer takes other than ignoring the slug (Unbreakable?) pointless.
It could be it dosent activate when the last gen is complete because the killers obj is to kill and delay the game and if the last gen is done their only obj is to kill so they have to choose hooks and hope to safety pip or get that kill
-
@NomiNomad said:
Seeing the big one...
Buff and nerf DS. Make it a stronger anti-tunnel perk, but take away the free progress it gives.
- The timer is still 60 seconds, but it pauses if downed or in chase.
- The timer immediately runs out if you are healed, heal someone else, touch a generator, touch a totem, or if someone else is hooked.
- Maybe even let it activate once perk hook state. Just take away the free progress bullshit. This wouldn't fix it completely, but it'd be a good start.
That's not the worse idea maybe ds go down twice as quick if being healed because that would be a bit bs if a teammate taps heal on you and it's a wraith that can just re hook you for your team's action because ds was deactivated by a teammate

I'm going to do the ultimate solo challenge. I'm going to try to get to rank 1 by only playing solo and using a max of only 1 meta perk.

Please send me your prayers. And also how do you pip up the fastest?
Pipping is easy but good luck

SWF is stupid easy way to rank up as survivor. Everyone, even me will just play SWF to grab 250k. that kills the point of rewards.
Also this will promote solo play, which this game desperately needs. There is no point to play solo right now
Without this i feel forced to play SWF to rank up asap to get my rewards in the end of the month, which is not ok
I do t think they shouldn't be able to rank up it just should be harder todpsowith more people

I hope so a few jump scares here and there are ok I just dont want it to only be jump scares like fnaf

Yes, that has always been the case, Billy and Bubba use the same mechanics, while Trapper and Jason are more similar in appearances than in Power, but my concern, is how others think about how it will adapt to the game, that may be a concern Both for me and the rest, seeing the skin of a legendary killer is what we all want, but the power of is the problem of why they do not want to see it or if they want to.
Imagine how may people will be disappointed with trapper getting a skin of an iconic slasher that's like saying clown will be getting a pennywise skin

"killers have slow down perks galore" only two I could think of and both had been nerfed, and now the recent 'buff' to one that requires taking up a second perk slot is also about to get the axe for that purpose. lol'd hard. I guess you can count sloppy butcher as a third that is a reliable one. But I just remembered they're changing things around mending,w hich in turn could affect many other perks and combinations of them and we won't see how until it's live I guess. Expect the worst and hope for the best eh. That way you're never disappointed.
I will say constant mending builds were truly boring af to deal with when combined with ruin though, not about difficulty so much as how tedious it is. I did dc against those sometimes and take the 5 minute penalty since it was sometimes over more quickly than 10 minutes of that stuff lol. That actually was a very annoying combination, even though you could beat it, it took what felt like forever. and was honestly boring even from my perspective
Almost like we had to use slow down galore for a reason 80s x 5 = 400s for all objectives to be finished now let's be realistic someone's gonna be chased so 400÷3 in a 133s 3 gens can be completed (including an rough guess in how long it takes for 3 of them to get to it) then you have to assume everyone has ds so that's 60s of semi protection from re hook (and let's say the killer has ruin and the survivors were to lazy to look for it ruin is half as fast of a survivors repair so 160s to regress a almost completed gen if you had a quick chase that was about 45s 2 gens are still done and the hooked person is getting saved see the issue and if the survivors is semi smart they would split up to avoid haveing everyone off a gen and ruin haveing a good effect

Simple answer to your question no gotta cater the survivors just because there's more of them

@Jarol said:
You see, I am not against each one what you think to see from the developers in the next licensing chapters, it only bothers me that they speak of many candidates and some think that it is not suitable for DBD, the same thing on, you I will give 3 examples:
1. "Mr. X cannot be in the game because it would be foolish for a piece of wood to stun him, or that Nemesis should be the next killer because he is more recognized" or "Nemesis should not be the next killer because he exceeds the height of the default character and his power would be so OP or Less OP for that reason others want Mr. X ".
2. "Chucky can't be in the game because he would be difficult to handle, he must have been the killer from the last chapter stealing the concept of the twins." or "Chucky if he can be in this game because he can use the same jumping mechanic as Victor and can drag survivors onto hooks or have the entity do hook work to help him with his short stature."
3. "Jason can't be in this game because he's a trapper, he already has his game, he's in demand, Trapper is Jason." or "Jason if he should be in this game because the developers already confirmed him with a permanent invite after his demand, colun demon, he is not a trapper, he looks more like Jacob Goodnight".
That is my discomfort for which they talk a lot about license killers, another example would be last year, the dead by daylight community before the fourth anniversary did not want Candyman, months later now out of nowhere they want him just like that. Maybe it's the negativity of which one they want to see first or the one they don't want to see. It is this reason why many want to see original chapters and I think I include myself. ¿What do you think about it?
I mean we have 2 killers with chainsaws technically 3 oni is billy 2.0
And billy was supposed to be the dev's version of bubba
And trapper was supposed to be their version on Jason
We have 2 trap based killers
And nemissis would fit quite well in dbd not sure about the missile launcher
Jason would always fit perfectly in this game and he dosent have to ba a trap based killer in f13 Jason has the rage mechanic that could be implemented where you naturally but very slowly gain rage being in a chase slightly increases the speed you gain rage and getting stuned makes you gain rage a lot quicker and when you're enraged you hear Jason's mother laughing and his stun time and pallet breaking and hit recovery speed is increase by 30%
The survivors can find Jason's mother in the map slowly calming Jason to reduced his rage ( she dose go to another location after soothing Jason)
If jason is enraged for 50s Jason's mother gets a beacon on her location for 2s every 10s

I guess I got two questions. I'm very new to Blight, but he's fun, other than the fact that he can't see over waist height debris. First question is, is there any word on if/when they're going to fix his camera? It's absurd. Survivors get to mind game me at pretty much every possible loop.
Another problem with being too short to live, is I've noticed on a few of the more powerful/common window tiles like shack, the game will drop chase BECAUSE blight is so short. I'm still chasing, but I guess they haven't been in frame because I can barely see through the windows or what not, so the game just decides the case is over. That lets survivors hop the windows waaaaay more than 3 times without it getting blocked. I pretty much just don't bother with shack anymore. I'm sure there's ways with Blight's power to end those chases, but I'm just not there yet. But getting punished by the game for being new by letting the survivors abuse windows is extremely lame...anyone got tips?
Also the window problem I guess is a good reason why they need to fix his camera...
Apparently it's not supposed to be like that but yet there seems to be no changes to it

I personally wouldn't recommend legion for 2 reasons 1 he dosent teach you really how to play normal killers and 2 he's only good at keeping people injured while there are other killers that do that better pluage for example can completely deny all healing and if they cleanse you gain your power so she can keep them injured deny iron will and down while being capable or being a basic killer with decent perks

They have heard you and many before color blind settings are going to take a while and dont expect it until they are done doing the graphical rework because why would you re color a map just to change it and possibly change the over tint of the map

Move the exhaustion recovery to Wake Up.
Wake Up.
You recover from exhaustion 15/20/25% faster. Survivors within 8m of you also recover from exhaustion 10/15/20% faster, and this effect persists for 15 seconds upon leaving the area of effect. Upon the exit gates being powered, you see the aura of the gate switches and open gates 25% faster. You reveal your aura to any other remaining survivors while opening an exit gate.
Vigil.
You are immune to the effects of Mangled, Hindered, Haemorrhage, and Blindness. Survivors within 8m of you recover from these status effects 15/20/25% faster. This effect persists for other survivors for 15 seconds upon leaving the area of effect.
I'm ok with the ideas but there will have to be changes because getting exhaustion back in 28 ish seconds seems crazy and rather than being immune the effects are cut in half so if you have blindness you can see 1 or 2 survivor hinderd from clown is now like 8% sloppy butchers is 10% slower making it better but not insane

I feel the reason she has such a low pick rate is because the viable builds you can use on her are strict. You either go for the slow down, the snowballing, or a mix of them and your build has to be good regardless of if survivors cleanse or not. Her own design limits her and takes away the control you have over her power however with the right build you at least get no win situations where it works regardless of what survivors do.
I used to play a lot of plague and was really good at her but over time i just got sick of dealing with the issues you pointed out. They should at least look into her power actually hitting survivors as that is one of the reasons i stopped playing her.
It's a shame I dont really play pluage so I dont have any ideas about what to change

I've been one of this game's biggest cheerleaders. I have over 1000 hours in the game, I've bought every DLC, and a skin for every Killer w/ the exception of The Twins. Believe me, I've spent plenty of time and money on this game. I've been willing to defend the devs/BHVR for a long time now, but even I'm getting rather tired of their lack of communication, misguided direction, and blatant laziness and greed. I used to play this game 24/7, but now I only play when something new is being added or when the rift actually has something decent to offer.
I despise posts of people saying they're quitting the game, as it just comes across as entitled and narcissistic, but I'm honestly starting to see why. The Twins and 2020 Halloween Event were absolute disasters, and I'm very unimpressed with the changes brought to the PTB, which brought about a whole host of bugs as per usual. I understand the constraints brought on by the pandemic, but it seems to have only worsened the company's bad behavior. I will continue to love and support this game, but right now, I feel extremely let down.
Yea 3k hours and with recent actions I dont know what is happening
And that pipeline thing that was brought up seems odd because before it was hey here's an idea dose it seem good yes let's look into it a bit more is it game breaking no ok well test it
