If a survivor uses OoO, tbags, or you see 4 flashlights, 4 toolboxes in the lobby, feel free to put that iri head, that mori, maybe a face camp or two for t baggers. Dont feel intimidated to use them by entitled survivor mains. They wonder why the queue times are long, and they are getting longer.

Dam why didn't I open my inventory when I saw 4 objects never thought of that

  • We dont know when but data miners say it was delayed till the 9th unsure the reason

It doesn’t need a buff. It just needs a notification so that other players know the person on the hook is running it, and can act accordingly to buy more time.

That and lose the required some one being next to you or expand the range because that belndet is gonna take a while to get to you

  • @SirCracken said:

And may I ask exactly where all of you were during the launch of his re-work? Because very few people seemed to be complaining at the time.

    But regardless, the general survivor consensus is that Freddy is no longer fun to verse. I, however, see little reason to support this claim. For example;

Stuff that you have to keep track of against Freddy

    • Your sleep timer

One of the most important things to keep track of. As long as you're awake Freddy has effectively no power. This makes him completely unique in that his potential is determined by the survivor's decisions.

    • Dream snares/pallets

With snares, it's more about trying to get into the Freddy's head and predict where he's going to place them. Since the threat of snares often shuts down a loop, this means that survivors have to plan where they are going during a chase way ahead in advance.

And with pallets it's just another thing to memorize in the map, like pallet locations and loops.

    • Freddy's position

Another obvious but still important factor. Since Freddy can teleport and falling asleep means losing the ability to tell how close he his, survivors have to actually use their eyes and tell where he is coming from. This also encourages learning the layout of maps and generator spawns.

So tell me, people who find Freddy boring, how exactly is keeping track of 3x the factors than a normal killer would offer somehow make Freddy brain dead to play?

Because I can certainly tell you that when I play Freddy "just spamming snares and teleports" isn't a viable way to play him.

There are 2 things I dislike about freddy 1 yes I can wake up but it dosent matter because he hits me and I'm asleep again

2 his snares have no penalty I'm not asking for anything crazy maybe just a slow down if you have all your traps down already or longer time to place and can't cancel if you have all snares down other than that I like him

  • @hex_genrush said:

As a ex freddy main I can confirm that freddy is super boring to play as. All you do is spam snares at loops and teleport to gens with bbq and kick them with pop. Very repetitive. Freddy is like easy mode he has everything a m1 killer needs, stealth because of the lullaby, high mobility, and high chase pressure. I honestly hate going against freddy because they all play the same. Pop, bbq , jump ropes...

Yea not a fan of new freddy I like that he's better but you find someone put a snare at a pallet or window if they run away repeat and yes you can pre drop but that burns resources fast and if they have brutal your still getting hit probably

  • @Klakky said:

Opposite prove thyself, 15% penalty to repairing gens, cleansing speeds and healing for each teamates in the SWF lobby, doesn't affect solo Q's.

I agree that the should have some draw back but not to that extent that would be very oppressive imagine freddy with thanat sloppy dying light ruin I would rather go with this effect

Herd mentality for every person I. The swf they gain a 5% increase action speed on chests searches healing speed (not including the surivor that's downed or hooked) unhooking and exit opening if they are within 24m of each other but if they are out of a 24m range they get a 5% decreased action speed to all of the things said above

if all survivors are in a swf any surivor that is alone for 45s will receive exhaustion of 1s and it will not be removed until within 8m of another surivor if it is a 2 person swf the location of an surivor will be marked with a beacon (like map)

And if it's a 4 person swf they will be afflicted with blindness after being alone for 30s

If they are alone for 60s they may scream revealing their location this effect will cancel after getting within 16m of a surivor

Vigil will do all the effects it dose currently and delay the the timers for these effects by 20s for anyone affected by vigil and 35s for the person that equipped vigil

No mither will make you immune to all of these effects and you start healthy

I think this is an alright change that won't cripple players

(maybe newer players but if the tutorial ever gets updated that shouldn't be an issue)

    Thought

(Clarification if you are solo you are immediately immune to all of this if your swf buddy died you are immune to this as wellunless you have another one)

Honestly, it should be quicker regardless of other changes imo.

Yea we would have to find a balance between death slinger and huntress but I dont like being stuck in place for using my power because I would rather play huntress because part of the reason she is good is because if she misses she's still moving at an reasonable pace

  • @Skullgrind said:

Thanks for sharing. Your experience mirrors my own when I started about a year ago as Killer. It gets drastically different from about rank 8 and down. I long for the fun ranks where you can mess around and have fun and maybe still win.

Higher ranks you run into the same 4 perks and often on every player. People ganging up on you so you can't even get 1 hook. Or you get a hook and they just unhook in your face and finish gens in your face and leave tbagging on the way.

Anyhow good luck and I hope to see ya in the fog! ✌️💀✌️

Yea and if you play with cross play off on switch your probably playing will a younger group that probably got it as a gift and saw that their enjoyed game is on switch

  • I would of been ok with the changes if they just made his wave dash come out just a bit quicker it's like reacting to a huntress hatchet but she's stuck in place if she miss

  • Say sike rn because the amount of stupidity from that first paragraph almost made me vomit

  • About 4k hours and this tournament thing could go 4 ways

1 It works well and we get stuck in this hell hole of a mess (bad ending)

2 it works well and it brings attention to the bs things in this game that will be fixed (good ending)

3 it goes south and no new players come in (lobby sim ending)

4 someone who is good at said possible tournament directly shows how bad this game can be makeing the devs look like massive fools and idoits makeing no new players and possibly helping adjust the bs thia game can have

    (lobby sim+good ending)

Then the first sentence of your post should be "Why do survivors have to be so toxic all the time?"

Every time the word toxic is mentioned in almost every post everybody days why are you a bad killer

  • @Squirrel_Thicc said:

It's not the survivors fault that matchmaking is terrible and they were put against you. They want to win, that's the point of the game.

Obviously this doesn't apply to unsportsmanlike behavior like t bagging etc. But you can't be mad at the survivors for wanting to win.

If only we had killers that were good and still wanted to play because it was enjoyable mb match makeing wouldn't be a mess (just saying)

  • @Phasmamain said:

Because people want to win? Why do killers slug one guy for 4 mins to get a 4K when you don’t need one to pip?

I don’t really try hard on either side but this issue isn’t exclusive to survivors

Also how do you loop abuse? Do you want them to run in a straight line

Because even if you die the game says you win

  • One that can suppress survivors perks and aura reading and a very slight amount of mobility I just want to see this as an experiment on both a personal level and a system level just to see how much perks can cary someone and how their reaction is when they can't use what they brought (and if judging off Franklin's they are gonna call for ab instant nerf)

  • @crixus006 said:

Survivors, you will no longer have undying, pop has 45 seconds. Tanato lets you heal. Will u come back to ask noed? There is no morí on the second hook. Freddy will be nerfed, billy is rubbish. I think the next perk to nerf will be undying + devouring. Or ruin. What do u think?

    Noed or devour

  • @Aneurysm said:

"But seriously why play killer if it upsets you that much?"

    1) masochism

    2) survivor queue times

    3) more bloodpoints

    4) dailies + rift

    5) masochism again

    6) when it's fun it is really fun

I like to play something that requires some skill and my attention not m1 simulator

    Edit and lobby sim

  • @DwightFairfield said:

he looks good, sounds good, has good lore, good cosmetics, good VFX, good mori all things considered.

high skill level power, not fun to play against because his charges are abusable and can be uncounterable depending on the circumstances, literally everything but the implementation of his power is good, i just don't find him fun to play against.

    sorry blight mains.

Yea if only I could see above Victor's pov so I know what I'm hitting

  • @GannTM said:

I don’t have many perks on Clown atm but this is what I’m running right now:

    BBQ and Chili

    Pop Goes the Weasel

    Dark Devotion

    Rancor or Devour Hope

Keep bbq and pop if you can get save the best for last and either surge or discordance

  • I see no reason not to and if not a killer than a survivor

Edit it will take a while because they are probably allready working on another chapter

Just because an item is iridescent doesn't make it automatically hard to come across.

Yea 56 skin addons in bubba

  • @TheBigBingus said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1852305#Comment_1852305

No, Oni with this addon goes from top 5 killers in the game to top 3 killers in the game when played properly, which I do. he is a pure m1 killer for a single hit, which good players can get if they know what they're doing. Oni is a f*cking nightmare with this addon, I would know, that's why I don't use it anymore, unless I suspect it's a SWF bully squad or something.

So oni is more oppressive than death slinger because everyone knows spirit and nurse are top 2 and death slinger is probably 3rd

  • Yea it's not like oni is locked in place if he misses or anything and its only available for a set amount of time not to mention hitting someone with it reduces the time you have to use it

And oni is apparently very common like a certain perk loadout that it has to be nerfed but ohh well let's ignore that and focus on nerfing a killer addon

  • @darkcloudlink said:

I've been wondering lately about how effective going out of your way to cleanse all 5 totems in a match is. I'm not really trying to start any sort of NOED argument or anything of that nature, but more often than not, especially when I play solo queue, I find that unless I run Detective's Hunch and, given the opportunity, cleanse all 5 totems myself, totems rarely get cleansed outside of hexes. I can understand the 4 man SWF sort of approach, but a solo survivor or duo won't likely be able to do every one. 9/10 times, if I see a totem, I do a totem, that how I play, and that's how I always play, but I came across a survivor today who couldn't understand why we'd cleanse totems when ruin was gone, and insisted it's useless. Do any of you feel like cleansing totems is useless outside of visible Hex perks (Ruin/Undying/Devour Hope/Huntress Lullaby etc)?

I have no reason to cleanse them I run soul gard slot of my games as survivor as a reverse card

  • Hate to say it but yea the didn't even ask what do you think of the undying change that's how you know they are set on not changing it

  • No same I see it and I'm like I could play apex cod terreria

  • Please if the devs see this take it with a grain of salt but you can't deny what the community is saying if it's been this present for this long

  • Maybe if the game is really balanced it could be tested but until then no I would be ok tho if the survivors had cheesy voice lines and special animations like the killers do

  • @Karao_Ke said:

Woo-hoo! You magically get hired as the entire dev team for the day & get to make your own changes to the game.

What would you do first? Would you change a perk, remove a killer, rework a map? You only got 1 day, so get to it!

(I would personally remove Spirit lol)

Edit: I'd add in shirtless Myers too. Yall can thank me later.

I would take a chapter to help fix massive bugs and sort the spegati code of dbd and in the background would try to either get Jason in dbd or a counter killer to survivors that dont have a killer like bill charger

And if that's impossible I would try to get pre sets for killers that didn't get a map

Make ds a anti tunnel perk by making it deactivate if you touch a gen locker or become healthy the timer pauses if down and recovery speed is decreased by 25%if activate makeing ds unbreakable less effective but always be active if you are being tunneled

And keys can only allow one person to escape

Also I would communicate things that I'm allowed to talk about like hey I'm experimenting with ds and keys here's what I'm doing and it will be available on the ptb

Edit if I had time to spare maybe give survivors voice lines that can be used in game when certain situations happen like if David stands up with nomither he could say is that all ye ave and maybe have one or 2 voice lines on a key bind like come here so you can call out to teammate's that are near but can't see

(The killer can have the option to mute this) so it won't be used to annoy you

  • This can go 2 ways 1 they get desperate to pay off th lawsuit and Jason comes to dbd or they disagree and double down on not letting him in

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1903133#Comment_1903133

Very good point. OP if the bubba has Bamboozle make sure to sidestep the window and not loop as you will be forced to drop pallet. Bamboozle only blocks one window therefore best course is to sidestep to another tile with a good window. If no pallet and no window then tough luck my friend. ;)

Yea if the bubba has bamboozle you have to get the 50/ 50 at a tnl and run away

  • Wait there was a killer in that release I thought it was bugs update and the killer wasn't finished

  • I mean yes if the perk is supposed to be powerful it should be looked for immediately remember when people actually looked for old ruin and it got clensed in 20-30s because it was a real hex perk and made an impact until gone so did undying it required a bit more effort and I'm ok with that

Same think with noed almost everyone when they see it pop say ######### I got to get rid of that

And start looking looking for it sometimes it dosent get found but more often it lasts 50s if the killers not guarding

My point is it can take 50s to cleans all the totems so why keep nerfing them?

  • @freddymybae said:

as a killer main who never played him i didntt know how bs he is recently i been playing tons of survivor and i come across many bubbas and its so bs that he can one hit every one with out putting in the work like ghost face myers and he is the best camping killer in the game by far

I hear not haveing a gen party helps in not getting multiple downs

  • @HollowsGrief said:

Only thing I think is unfair about Bubba is how quickly he recovers from breaking a pallet with his chainsaw. It should be a tad slower, like Demo and Oni if you ask me.

It's a chain saw those things are make to cut wood and other various objects

  • @Toblerone007 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1900795#Comment_1900795

It's about accurate timing of your fast vaults at windows preferrably god windows. You need to bait bubba into hitting the window to get them to tantrum. You can try running small obstacles but it takes a real mediocre player to tantrum on those.

That is the downside. You can't move in tantrum. The survivor gets huge distance for it.

    Me who runs bamboozle

    Laughs in screeching noises

  • Bubba's almost the perfect representative for a killer you make a mistake you die your making a risky play not if he can stop it he makes a mistake you get distance

  • I only wish Franklin's didn't destroy your item when you put on white ward I wished it just went back into your inventory and you just can't use it the rest of the game

  • @DarKaron said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1902461#Comment_1902461

    This is correct.

They began work on Blight probably a year in advance, and with stuff actively under production, they don't have all the resources they used to in order to redo his animations.

They have to MANUALLY move his animations upward to align to the camera, for whatever reason. My friend, who is a modeling nerd, says that it SHOULD be as simple as just moving the model up with the camera, but apparently, BHVR has spaghetti in more than just the code.

Wait they dont have to redo all his animations its client sided no so the survivors would see the same thing but killer would see something different it's like that with all killers especially demo

  • @ASpazNamedSteve said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1902452#Comment_1902452

I don't wanna be whiney, but I feel like almost 5 months is more than enough time.

Yea all they would have to do is raise the camera do their trick for client sided POV and test it several times to make sure nothing is busted like seeing inside blights head when using shadow born

  • @QwQw said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1900672#Comment_1900672

Undying was fine, it didn't need to be changed at all. The most they should have done it was nerf it's aura reading.

Yea I agree like that or if a hex is reset by undying once undying is gone all reset hexs are also gone

  • Ironic all the good hex perks get changed around their name

Ruin was ruined undying is dying

When they change noed it will stand for no one escapes devs

  • Undying you are dying.

you were as strong as a lion.

but now you are flying. into the ground.

here's to a hope that's may be around. for you to sleep sound.

So you may ever have an undying hope.

  • I thought bubba was a good killer was wrong now he's ok

  • @EvilJoshy said:

It sounds like GF counters OoO pretty damn well. So long as I am stealthed I can see the survivor but they can't see me?

Yea and jump scare Myers has ooo as an addon fun

  • @EvilJoshy said:

I was playing a match as GF earlier. I injured someone with OoO. I lost them. I started chasing a Steve who ran towards the shack. As I'm running to the shack I popped night shroud to hide my red stain. I saw OoO was behind the shack. I loop pretending to chase Steve and I run right into OoO and down them before they can use their DH.

Did i just catch that person off guard or does OoO not reveal GF when he is in stealth?

Gf and all killers affected with undetectable can't have their aura seen but you can see them

  • @brokedownpalace said:

It would be cool if you hallucinated other survivors in the game too lol

    I like this as well

  • @Yords said:

I think it would be cool and mess with survivors while still giving you tracking. This of course could work with the restraint addons.

You could even fake being the doctor illusion which could open up some mind games which makes sense with doctor. At least it would work against newbies. For more experienced players, you could use stealth perks to make it seem like you are just a fake since you have no terror radius.

This would just make it cooler and maybe even helpful at times.

So the illusory doctors should have no terror radius (maybe) to allow synergy with stealth perks to mess with survivors. Then it could even start the chase music and give the survivor their points for being chased.

I like it hate doc with every fiber of my being but I like it
