  • i really wish i could contribute here, but I don't really play Myers Myers, just Scratch Mirror or Judith's Tombstone when I get bored. I feel like Lethal Pursuer was at least some kind of a bone for him, whatever that might be worth. Would be nice to see some kind of update on him.

  • I had free iron will as well, but it went away at some point. Can anybody confirm that it's not just a one sided audio bug? I have no idea if this is a false sense of security.

  • theres no sweater in this game. the obsession mechanic is fine. Before, killers would tunnel if there was no obsession.

  • whats the point of this thread even? what does you getting stuck in between felix and shack have to do with the state of dead hard on consoles? you likely got stuck in a perfect spot because felix DH'd in place basically.

Blight has his own issues, so that invalidates other people's issues? Or is this a balance issue where you hate DH to begin with, so other people unable to use DH is some kind of karmic judgment?

  • there's a few that would be rather easy. Susie seems like a perfect match for a boy looking to indulge their feminine side 🤤

  • This is why I really think rank should only update on the 13th. Games like these wouldn't feel as bad.

Yup. I discovered this when I got RPD and the game crashed while I was Rushing as Blight. Got back on and boom, DC penalty. They burned three cakes that match, too, so... yay, that doesn't feel like insult to injury or anything at all.

things are gonna get fun for you guys when you start getting hour long bans.

  • sometimes kindred is useless because wraith is really popular but i still like it. Open handed has saved me games

Average Iron Will + Dead Hard fan vs Average Plunderers + Appraisal enjoyer.

us cool kids run Pharmacy, because a captain should spoil his crewmates before he plunders for himself.

  • I mostly dabble in perks that involve saving time in some form. Nemesis is most effective as a chase killer in my humble opinion. He isn't very fast at it though because he either needs 3 health states or 2 M1s, so he quickly gets overwhelmed, especially on larger maps like Red Forest and Ormond.

Lethal Pursuer, despite the fact that its his teachable, it really was made with him in mind. This saves you so much time and gives you valuable intel that can have butterfly effects later on. This even has some synergy with Ruin.

Starstruck is fantastic on him. Investing your time in getting Tier 2 in your first chase can pay off here with interest by skipping health states and discouraging sabo/flash plays, ensuring you maintain an iron grasp over your pressure.

Surge-Why kick gen when you can punch survivor?

Enduring- At a pallet, there's usually 2 lines of play. Nemesis either runs through the pallet for the M1, or he respects it and tentacles. If you can make Nemesis perform the wrong play, you outplay the Nemesis. Enduring is a great way to just brute force it, and if you're in Tier 2, you're going to be creating dead zones really fast. Spirit Fury can be fun to use alongside Enduring.

BBQ-Great info perk to keep you on the roll, and it's good info to see survivors blatantly gaining distance because they're Exposed.

Noed- Nice to speed up the end game considerably. By this time you've probably eaten nearly every pallet so the entire map is pretty unsafe, allowing you to just brute force downs. I don't use Noed atm myself, but it's great if you have few choices.

Agitation-whether paired with Starstruck or not, speeding up something that slows you down is nice regardless. You have a little more leniency with hooking survivors closer to your zombies.

    Corrupt-Let's you do your thing

    STBFL- Punch faster

I'd say the important thing overall is that Nemesis moreso than other killers needs value from his perks to help establish or maintain a lead. From personal experience, your average night time survivor swf is gonna split up, rock gens and try to leave with as little interaction with you as possible. So I personally believe that perks like Lethal Pursuer are not as much of a waste as people think because matches are typically not very long against a Nemesis to begin with. Play fast, play hard, show no mercy.

  • My experience with RPD has been heavily killer dependent. I get lost and have a miserable time with everybody no matter what, but certain killers create a drastically different experience.

For example, Bubba felt net neutral. There's strong loops and vaults, but the map is pretty tight that often leaves survivors with little room to outplay the saw without tapping into a resource. A perk such as tinkerer going off can easily catch a survivor off guard.

Doctor-miserable. I have an easy time knowing where survivors are, but my god it's a pain in the ass doing anything about the info i receive.

Twins- simply amazing. The tight and cramped RPD makes it feel like you're shooting barrels at a fish. Victor is really strong here I feel. Victor is easy to hide, and he reveals so much since RPD has floors.

  • That aspect is what made me stick with Wraith when he was the community punching bag. He's got a lot of useful and interesting addons too(rip ghost soot, what a legendary brown addon to make demo jealous)

  • Another reason why self healing disabling DS is a load of poppycock and I A)rarely play survivor and B)don't use DS

i said the dc penalty has considerably affected match quality

It was definitely needed though. I wouldn't be surprised if console dbd has a more active playerbase than PC. Better to make everyone suffer a bit than to completely strangle an entire ecosystem. But so much time has passed, this upcoming fix seriously needs to be a winner, and not like the All Kill updates where BHVR "fixed" the broken pallets and desync but actually made it worse.

  • Dbd just isn't a lot of fun for new people to get into.

Things like blind timing and pallet dropping a killer picking up a surv is rather soul crushing to explain to a new person. To us veterans it's just "lol get better at timing lmao" but to them they just see a poorly made game.

  • as killer, the only 2 maps that would exist to me would be The Game and Midwich.

  • I have like 100 cakes on Spirit because I played most of the event on last gen console and I couldn't play anybody else.

I was hoping to dump points in Doc and Slinger so I can get some Terror Radius builds goin but I accidentally fell in love with Demo.

  • I like experimenting with Open Handed. I usually go either just Bond or Kindred but sometimes I change it up

    OH,Bond,Kindred, Dead Hard

OH, Bond, Windows of Opportunity, Any Means Necessary

    OH,Detective's Hunch, Counterforce

OH, Bond, For The People, Flashbang

I have a "survive evil by any means necessary" build that's more for flavor than practical but it's Calm Spirit, Iron Will, Lucky Break and Self Preservation.

When I tinker with No Mither I run Iron Will, Dead Hard and Resilience or Object of Obsession with a key+blood amber if I'm going resilience.

For Wraith I really enjoy The Beast-Soot+purple movespeed addons with Coulrophobia, Distressing, Sloppy and Nurses. On smaller maps or maps with verticality(cough cough Midwich) it's super oppressive.

For Demogorgon I love Leprose Lichen+unknown egg. This setup makes Demo more of a control/hit and run type of killer but he can chase survivors in his own unique way. On maps like Autohaven,RPD or The Game, you can apply a pressure similar to Nurse where you just disregard verticality and big ass structures. Also, you will always know how safe or unsafe your totems are with this build, and if you feel so inclined this setup gives you a budget crappy Lethal Pursuer.

  • at least All Seeings means Wraith doesn't have disappearance/reappearance addons.

Instead of reopening a pretty much dead thread you could create a new one if it’s a relevant topic and it would not get closed..

if something is relevant, it's relevant, no? People care about the weirdest things.

  • lets not talk about this, I swear if I lose my headless legion or minotaur demon's end oni again i'm going to be the big sad.

  • if you wanna sacrifice 5 cakes for something like that, then i'm just gonna laugh at how you basically wasted your time. It just seems like a self-own.

  • shift w doesnt mean a whole lot against 3 gen, I think more people should pick up Demogorgon, Hag or maybe even Doctor.

Oh I heard more about things getting cancelled like Legions Frenzy when blinding, stunning or whiffing her

The one killer where Lightborn actually is a detriment.

This is kind of random but No Mither+Iron Will "counters" Stridor Spirit.

Look up before swinging to bait out dead hards

  • don't think so, but just please be reasonable about it.

  • dbd is really clunky and unintuitive with its stunning/flashing mechanics, you have to do it at certain moments. if you do it too early you won't make them drop the survivor. You gotta blind them/pallet stunas the survivor is around boob level.

  • Brown tools and brown meds are amazing survivor items, but they're good for what they are. If you hate them so much just run Franklin's.

  • @chargernick85 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/267336/how-am-i-supposed-to-counter-franklins-demise-dcing

I bring franklins if all 4 survivors have add-ons (assuming I have it on that killer). Very effective on medkits and flashlights. The best is when they feel they need to pick it back up right after you hit them lol. Dummy you just got hit again now and where's your item? On the floor again.

My favorite is when I see that it was a brown medkit. No self care for you!

  • It's kinda both of your fault, but the responsibility ultimately lays on the killer I think. It's a shepherd's job to guide the flock so to speak, you can't be mad when a sheep doesn't wanna come home because they have an archive/daily/item. It's okay for them to wait a little bit because they want the match to go a certain way, but when it's clearly a stalemate, the killer really needs to buckle up and advance the gamestate, even if it's to their detriment. The killer works for the Entity, after all.

  • Noed. I think it's a perfectly fine perk. I just dislike the ability to hide it, I think the hex should curse you immediately.

  • @Laluzi said:

I think you were meant to play them by placing Charlotte and Victor at different points in a loop, and laying out ambushes with them... thing is, their switching is way too slow to dynamically do that, and it's so easily countered by just moving away from the loop that the idea was doomed from conception. Maybe hiding Charlotte a ways behind a contested generator and reactivating her to surprise chase people off of it? But you don't have any way of knowing when people return to that gen. Or the angle survivors take to approach it, which could give away the whole game. They're just really not built for anything that isn't tunneling and slugging.

that's sort of how I was trying to play them, as a setup killer. The first perk I unlocked was Bamboozle, and I assumed you could bodyblock with Charlotte so the Twins seemed like a more dynamic Clown, honestly. Bamboozle shack window, Block pallet with Charlotte, and down with Viktor.

    @lagosta said:

Survivors should play in duos to stand a chance against good twins. If they don't know that, they're doomed to be slugged.

Something that particularly bothers me about their design is how they are indirectly forced to camp. Say you down someone with Victor, now you switch to Charlotte and hook the survivor. You have both characters in close to the hook now and you can only move one at a time. So even after you leave the hook, you're still camping. Same if you slug and switch characters.

I'd love to have an option to call Victor back and let him attach to Charlotte so you can take both characters elsewhere without having to do it twice. Charlotte already has an idle button, let her call Victor back.

Tbh I assumed that was a thing when I bought Twins, It's crazy that you can't just recall him.

  • I think it's just unforunate, like bringing Lucky Break against a Legion ora Plague.

  • I heard there was an update coming today, maybe see if there's an update preventing you from logging in?

    I could be wrong though.

  • It's laughable how utterly worthless Licker tongue is. Current Clown bottles are way more helpful than that piece of junk.

I just woke up, but the only add-ons I think that are even worth considering are Marvin's, Serotonin Injector(works when a zombie dies btw, you dont have to kill them), the movespeed add-ons, Plant43 Vines and the broken coin. Everything else blows.

I thought the detection add-ons would be nice, but I feel on the whole it's net neutral considering the zombies overall inconsistency and tendency to get caught up in things.

  • @Northener1907 said:

Spirit is unfair, she deserves nerf.

I'd like to see that too, but ideally I think her balance should come second to her core design. Adjusting numbers or making her kit clunky won't be enough to change her fundamentally flawed design of having zero feedback and information to play with. She probably needs an entire rework.

  • @xenotimebong said:

Sorry but the Twins were just designed to suck any possible survivor fun out of a match. Every aspect of their design was carefully selected to make them as torturous and anti-fun as humanly possible. It’s not you, there’s just no way to play this killer in a way that’s enjoyable for anyone else.

Welp, guess it's back to stocking Haddonfield offerings and just playing House then.

  • maybe people just aren't taking the crowns anymore, which makes them harder to see because they aren't moving around as much.

  • I think 80% of people taking tinkerer use it for the 70%, the stealth is more of a bonus.

  • coming from a last gen perspective-

I instantly hate the guts of anyone using Console Butcher. You can see the survivors running into walls.

  • What do you do when you realize you got a 3 man swf and you simply hooked the 4th? Do you just stand there until you get Entity Displeased?

  • @GeneralV said:

I barely have perks to unlock, but a Blood Hunt is a Blood Hunt.

    your contribution is appreciated

  • The Wraith has The Beast-Soot which no longer suppresses his Terror Radius. It's polite to let people know you're coming over :)

Nemesis has Serotonin Injector which gives him Undetectable whenever a zombie dies.

    Iridescent Head+Soldiers Puttee for Huntress

Iridescent Button Legion plays slightly different from other addons

Oni's Renjiro's Glove greatly changes how Oni's power operates.

Hag has an addon that makes her unable to teleport but her traps have mass.

  • Rancor gang baby! You get a 2 second Lethal Pursuer every gen

  • @HaunterofShadows said:

Going to be honest I feel if there was no ranking system there wouldn't be as many tryhards

I'd be fine with ranks updating only on the 13th. I think getting depipped after a stressful game has an unconscious psychological impact on players.

Why should the killer let the survivor go? You are not entitled to survival, and they aren’t entitled to a kill. There is no “ego” here, it’s simply wanting to play the game the way they want, and you played the way you wanted. You could have tried to sneak to the hatch and ended it one way or another, but no you say behind a rock long enough to get crows twice. You made your decision and they made theirs.

It is ego, though. You guys are overthinking this too much. After a 3k, just close the hatch and pray to the Entity you go to the right exit gate. If you see them, great then murder them or have a dance party.

  • @DwarvenTavern said:

    I agree with Orion...

Why the rock? Why did you stay there for so long?

because I anticipated the Plague would anticipate me to camp the exit gate rather than look for hatch. And she came rather quickly, too. That proved to me she had no intentions on letting me go.

  • @TheMidnightRidr said:

Sounds to me like both sides anted something and were not planning on giving the opposing side a chance, so it’s on the both of you. To say either side was in the wrong is arrogant.

Shouldn't the killer just drop the ego and kick the hatch, then?

  • Nurse literally uses a light form of Telekinesis or something to just yeet survivors on hook with one arm so casually. I'm sure Chucky would get some assistance from the Entity

  • @Orion said:

I mean, I could ask you the same thing: why did you spend so much time sitting behind that rock?

I had to survive for my solo-q comrades who entrusted their lives to me. I was also playing as Cheryl, and while I haven't played SH, she seems like the type who has been through a lot so it wouldn't seem fitting to crack and surrender to evil.

  • his mori doesnt even have a rocket launcher that completely removes the survivors body from the game, and his zombies don't have any mori function. 0/10
