ok, so I am NOT on drugs...
Well, I am, but im not just imagining things then? Because I've had a couple instances yesterday where I was blinded from BEHIND... It's like the light warped around my head and burned my peripherals and causing me to drop the survivor. I was even facing a wall.

The fastest way to be tunneled is using Ooo so dont pick that one
alternatively, if you always get tunneled regardless of what you do, you can run Object to know exactly just how F'd you are

That's giving money away. Pretty counter productive from their POV.
and how many people have given up on the game and or have decided to never spend a dime because of the performance? giving money away is a valid damage control strategy even if it's a crass method.
I don't really have a horse in that particular race though.

Spies from the Shadows.
Survivors got 99 problems and a snitch is an extra one :)

What do you wanna bet their fix isn't even going to solve the issues on console? They'll only fix the problem by half or not even fix it at all. They said they fixed the "glitch" with the RE cosmetic sets being unlinkable, yet people quickly found a way around that.
They'll fix console lag like they fixed the broken pallets during All Kill. I hope I'm wrong though.
-
nobody has a good answer for it considering Microsoft gives you access to both console and Windows Store versions of DbD and both use your same gamertag. I don't even own DbD yet I can play it on both console and pc.
-
Lucky Break+Iron Will. Pair with either Dead Hard or Lithe. Lithe opens up the possibility of Quick and Quiet for extra Lucky Break shenanigans.

If they're harassing you, they're not your friends.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2358394#Comment_2358394
That's not possible. You must accept an invitation (or send one) for that to happen. Unless you mean you get into a random lobby that happens to have your friends. If so, that's because there are few players in your region.
I shouldn't have to explain myself every time I want to spend 20 minutes on a single player game just because of BHVR's coding. I appear offline specifically so I don't have to deal with incoming messages..

As you said, the current survivor "meta" is so far and above every other survivor perk that it makes no sense to bring anything else. Like, iron will is the best stealth perk in the game and has no restrictions or difficulties to use, spine chill counters an entire subset of killers while also giving extra action speed to vaulting and gens, and also tells you when to run, DH and SB are DH and SB... why would you bother using something like Lucky Break, which only lasts 60 seconds instead of lasting forever and countering Spirit and letting you sneak away mid-chase?
The current survivor meta perks are like multitools, but every purpose they serve they are extremely good at. Other perks simply can't compete.
Why would you run Lucky Break? Have you seen how popular Decisive Strike still is? Lucky Break performs the same function as DS and is way less clunky to get value out of, at the cost of requiring iron will.
-
Frig me sideways dude, I would love to try this with my Wraith build. The thought of this with a Midwich or The Game offering makes me salivate.
By default I run Distressing, Coulrophobia, Nurses and Sloppy+ purple movespeed/the beast soot but if I could also have purple pallet break, all seeing, green disappearance time, purple reappearance time and Silent Bell I don't think any amount of item addons will be able to penetrate a 3 gen

They are trying to help other platforms though, I don't get the negativity here.
PEOPLE ARE BEING HEARD!!!!!!!!!
People on console have been asking for a fix for a while, and now they are putting in effort and giving compensation because they know they've ######### up.
This is a step in the right direction again, stop being so negative.
This game has been broken on consoles for as long as I've played this game(the newest killer when I joined was Twins) and then All Kill broke the game even further...until they slightly fixed it...until they broke it again..and then they slightly fixed it...and then they released RE and broke it 50x worse than ever before.
Being heard doesn't mean jack diddly squat. Console optimization was promised in what, 2019? That was before my time. BHVR can "hear" whatever they want, but I'm not gonna let up just because they're "aware".

It sounds good at first but you'd probably get cynical players who don't see 4 meta perks and just leave.
fine by me honestly. i hope the door doesnt hit them on the way out
-
You're better off using them ASAP, despite how rare cakes are for survivor.
-
you can literally use DbD to stalk people. If your account has played it once in the past 5 years, your friends can use DbD to harass you. Sometimes I just want to log in briefly but DbD doesn't respect the offline status.
-
I'd be lying if I said I were excited about Candyman. I feel indifferent and apathetic.

I've used it on Mikey and its basically a guaranteed instant tier 2.
oh my god, how did I forget to mention mookel lmao. Lethal Pursuer is simply amazeballs on him. The first time I ever used it was on Hawkins, and the survivors all spawned in the portal room gen. I stalked them through the glass for 2.5 Evil Within as Tombstone Myers... that perk is simply never coming off
-
I use it a lot, and I've been enjoying it.
I'm an aggressive sort of killer so it's a decent option on my Spirit, Legion, Plague and Oni.
It's nice because I feel like I can substitute Hex:Undying out for lethal pursuer for the likes of Spirit. I have the luxury of zeroing in on the guy near Ruin, or avoid the totem completely knowing it's in good hands.
-
i had it back to back today on xbox but before that was maybe a week and a half ago?

I was using Lightborn on my Hillbilly the last few nights because why not and it certainly disables flashlight squads like it always has real good.
I have no idea why people like Franklin's so much unless it's to knock a key out of someone's hand (that they'll immediately just hide somewhere) since you still have to M1 them. Lightborn is free and has always been a stellar choice while working at all times.
It does feel kinda funny to walk towards someone who is beaming you and getting a free hit, but the aura reading is killer.
Franklin's can theoretically deplete the flashlight batteries before the survivors even get the chance to use it while also being able to handle other types of items.
Lightborn at least these days can reveal Jills across the map.
-
his addons are irrelevant. you need to have above average mechanical skill and awareness to handle Wraith. Fact of the matter is, even a lot of red ranks are poor loopers. Wraith games usually devolve into Mexican standoffs at pallets.
-
Rancor is the best perk I have for Blight and even that is unacceptable to use.
There's no pleasing survivor players so wasting time, effort and energy to please them is a pointless endeavor.
-
That would be incredibly stressful to play through, but since we already have stealth killers such as M&A Slinger, Iri Button Legion, and Massive TR Doc I don't think this new Furtive Chase would really be the end of the world, honestly.
Furtive encourages healthy killer gameplay even moreso than BBQ so I don't see why not.

I think it's just people abusing the absence of DC penalty over whatever reason they can find and not necessarily related to Lightborn in this instance.
I had a Jill DC right next to me because right after we finished a generator I decided to do a totem nearby (I always do them for points and in case of NOED) and she just stared at me and DC on the spot. I also had a Meg DC after I downed her when she failed to do a fake vault in Killer Shack.
Jills DC if you chase/down them first, especially as Nemesis. it's like they're playing with Deliverance or something.

Everybody's got their one thing they can't tolerate I guess.

Of course Xbox lags if you breathe while playing so maybe thats why.
did you forget to change accounts?

I don't have any really on my survivors, but my killers have way too many. Killers should be using cakes every game to buy more cakes, but survivors cakes seem so stingy.

The only problem is there is no other killer power that lets you heal just from interacting with a fountain. Even if you infect them and hit them they get a free heal. It's BS
it is indeed BS...but on the flip side our infection robs survivors of their free sprint burst and we don't give AF about Iron Will. The Entity giveth and the Entity taketh I suppose.
-
I think Head On should probably have a lower CD compared to the other exhaustion perks but just slightly.
-
@Soulpaw said:
a funny thing to do is pallet stun the killer, drop the grenade immediately, pick up the pallet with that one perk that allows you to do that, then stun the killer again.
Plenty of fun.
I've heard of repressed alliance+blast mine, but have not heard of flashbang+any means necessary. I think I'm going to try that
-
As nice as the gesture is, it just makes me feel awful lol. I'd appreciate the survivors just leave asap so I can forget this match ever happened.
-
@TwitchyMike said:
No this is the fix she needs... When survivors cleans it doesn't heal them a health state. Period enough said.
As much as I would LOVE that...i think that would be crazy for the survivors. I think cleansing having a slight delay before rejuvenating you would be an option though, like 10seconds.
-
I've wanted to get creative use out of it on chase killers but I feel like the activation window is too long and Insidious plays typically only work once.
-

I watched Netflix' Castlevania. All main heroes and villians are so powerful, they probably won't fit into dbd. They like flying all around and fighting with explodes and extreme speed. I don't see them walking, breaking pallets and hooking survivors.
meanwhile we have Susie and Julie who can smash walls with their tiny little legs, Bill+Leon+Ash can't kick their ass, and Nemesis gets stunned by a block of wood.
The Entity adjusts power levels in the trials, so power level is really irrelevant.
-
nah I think that would be too oppressive.

Pumpkin + the whistle seems like a nasty combo.

This would have some setup but I’m imagining the room with the totem has every entrance covered by portals and then you save the last portal to get back to that room anytime someone comes close.
whistle is a fantastic choice to pair with a hex totem. I was disappointed that BHVR decided to nerf it so fast
-
its a power hex just like ruin. It seems to take forever to find because you only start looking for it the second you become exposed, which causes some sort of time dilation.
-
Noed is fine, but Nolb should definitely be changed I think.
-
ppl are putting up with the killer experience for that anniversary BP. Status quo will resume after the 22nd.

megs i find sometimes are dumb as horses but are pretty cute.Hard to hate a Meg. high % of DCers though. Im never surprised when a Meg insta dcs to Legion.
I personally dislike the average Nea and Dwight.

The time range covers the entire life of the game, including the period where Borrowed Time and Dead Hard weren't even in the game, so yeah, it makes sense that Self-Care is so high up. If you limited it to just the past year, Self-Care probably wouldn't even be in the top 5.
im doubtful of that, honestly. Self care would likely still be top 3 i reckon. Self Care being a 5th killer perk is a funny meme and all but in reality its a lifesaver. teammates are too unpredictable, but self care will always be there for you.
I dont use self care personally but ive been saved by it a lot too.
-
i put him down after the cosmetic glitch patch. His Demon's End piece was my favorite torso in the game but his head pieces were too fugly.
-
im in red ranks(low red) and find an average of 2.5 cakes, with every few match being a 5 man cake.

i'll trade you my thompson houses for some ormonds or midwiches

Stats are an odd thing, and definitely not the end-all-be-all. Keep in mind that when you sort for the top % of killers, Oni comes out as the highest kill rate. He's obviously not the strongest, arguably not even top 5, but stats alone would lead you to believe he is.
I have a feeling Blight will be somewhere lower than Nurse or Spirit, in large part because he's much more difficult to play on console and has a high skill cap in general. Plus many maps hard counter him.
3rd best killer in the game, no question. Just not sure the numbers will reflect that.
blights not so bad on consoles these days if youre on current gen. his sensitivity buff alone took him out of "nearly unplayable" tier
-
nope, i usually have to burn an offering for it. ill trade all my thompson houses for a couple of midwiches

Again, theres little testing on console because console makers have extremely stupid policies for testing; the devs cant make a ptb for console and it takes 2 weeks for patches to be verified. Feel free to yell at bhvr for pc bugs, but console devs are at fault when it comes to console.
And its entirely up to sony. As it is the only reason any game on ps is able to do cross anything is cause bethesda threatened to pull games from the ps if they werent allowed crossplay for a card game of all things. Sony is still very selective about it.
pubg has a test client on consoles
