  • No Way Out is being buffed to make it do what it was always supposed to do. Currently, it's only value comes from denying the insta-gate opening as soon as the last gen pops.

Most of the time, the perk just wasted itself and nobody knew you ran it.

  • Plague deserves better than being placed under GF and doc. billy and freddy are a little too high up imo.

  • I believe it should depend on context. Sandbagging should be an immediate suspension(locker opening, pointing ,pallet dropping etc.) but bartering for your life when the game's basically over? Nah. The game's goal is to survive, that's it.

If I see that somebody's been playing for hatch wayyyy too early and being a complete detriment, you bet your ass I'm going to reveal you to the killer and pray that I get hatch for it.

  • This event has brought out the worst in us. We don't deserve nice things.

  • it's bringing out the worst in everybody.

I get jaded trying to use my cakes and have fun against super tryhard players bringing 2 keys, haddonfield offerings with BNP+Balanced, so I turn around and say "two can play that game" and start playing Stridor Spirit with Ebony Mori which in turn makes survivors bitter and start bringing more keys and try hard load outs.

I don't know of any way to break the cycle. I've tried my damnedest to be the better person, but with the game's current performance, I'm too bitter about not being able to play the majority of the roster to be nice. Why pull my hair out trying to play Legion and 8 hook when I can put a hundredth of that effort into Spirit and get a guaranteed DC? At least then the negotiations for farming will commence!

Isn’t it a global issue with status effects?

Like, if I remember correctly from my PS4 days, this lag would occur no matter how Mangled was applied.

yeah it's more the application of the status effect than anything. In addition to status effects, Killer Instinct such as Legion's Frenzy and "pulses" like Demo charging shred are awful as well.

NOED used to kill survivors on hook even if you mashed struggle

  • I typically try to match how the survivors play. If you're gonna stay out of sight all game and power rush gens with prove thyself, sorry but everybody is going to die a painful death if I can help it.

  • Oni and Legion probably. Oni's design is great and I love being scared by him. I enjoy Legion personally because they're an almost powerless killer so it's a battle of sheer mechanical skill and macro/micro decision making. When Legion frenzies just you you know you got a fight on your hands

  • I've been putting up all my Ormond offerings because it's a nice way to cool down during the summer

I feel like bhvr should abandone console at this point it's slowing down progress for new gen

if that's the case, whatever, just give us cross progression! i know i'm not alone in the realization that if we have to start from scratch and rebuy every dlc, we're just going to quit instead. And until BHVR addresses this, we can't risk buying cosmetics for a dying game.

  • its probably better that way.

  • Nemesis is largely fine. If I could play him without freezing I'd put him somewhere around High B tier. With the current state of the game, I'd put him in mid C.

I don't think Nemesis really needs a whole lot. If the contamination speed boost effect were maybe half I think he'd be really good.

  • nah i love moris. i buy all the ebonys i can get my hands on.

  • Play Spirit with something like Ruin, Undying and Stridor with Mother Daughter Ring and Yakuyoke Amulet.

  • high level dbd sucks and is boring. clown fiestas have always been the heart and soul of dbd, but once you climb the stairway to maturity, you're left chasing the dragon.

optimal dbd is dbd played unoptimally.

  • @TripleSteal said:

Legion is likely the most raw-general-skill dependant killer in the game, 70% going to your macro decisions and 30% to how you run tiles as short M1 killer.

Playing against decent coordinated teams is really tense as literally 1 mistake or slight overextention costs you the game immediatly. Playing against weaker opponents provides you with the most unloseable matches out of all the killers, and usually you know survivors have quite literally 0 chance 30-40 seconds into the game.

Regarding the latter part of the original post, do you actually miss hits with legion in FF? How?

I've stopped playing Legion because landing FF hits is too much for my xbox sometimes. It was still bad before, but the RE update has made their power a lot more risky and honestly, it's just not worth that hassle.

  • i think that's the one that breaks objects tremendously faster.

  • I think overall this will be a net buff for him but we'll see how fun it is to play. The knife requirement is interesting but I'll reserve judgment for now. The reduction of knives needed to remove a health state looks really good.

The depleted Ink addon made me hope for a zombie army waiting at the exit gates. But sadly, there only spawns 1 zombie.

I would love an iri addon that gave zombies the ability to sacrifice dying second stage survivors as well as an addon that turns dead survivors into an extra zombie. Neither of those would be useful, but man those would be fun.

What? Julie/Susie are the real stars of the show. They are who I use the most and who I see the most in trial. No one cares about Frank.

yeah, honestly. Frank is the "Mascot" of the Legion but he certainly ain't the star.

  • @Piwatte said:

I play Nemesis in red ranks (I play mainly survivors) and I don't see why he should be buff ? I have more kills when I play this killer than another one.. I would prefer a buff on another killer

I think he could use a little something, nothing too drastic though. I think nerfing the contamination sprint burst to half its duration alone would do so much for him.

  • Because it's BHVRs job to disappoint even when you had zero expectations

  • I don't buy the argument of "its all capcom/konamis fault". They could let us mix and match original character sets.

Tbh, I'm not motivated to buy any sets and use them as is. I have no intention on buying any more cosmetics because mixing was the only fun I had with them.

Silent Hill Legion? Gross. Headless Legion? Heck yeah.

Minotaur Oni? Eh, cool I guess. Minotaur Death Throes Oni? METAL AF \m/

  • Nurse Rebecca pls

  • if console players had to deal with hour/day long bans, this game would die overnight.

I don't know what the solution here is other than for BHVR to get their heads out of their ass.

  • @kisfenkin said:

Nemesis was literally able to hit two pallet spaces away through a window! That needed to stop. Thankfully BHVR didn't intend that.

Now it's time to get rid of his aura reading of zombies. They already help with infecting and damage, he shouldn't also base kit be able to see when a survivor is near them from across the map. No other killer has that much power with no effort or cost on the player's part at all. This should be an iridescent add-on, not a base power.

He should also be slower than normal speed killers. He has a ranged attack that hits past pallets (and can break them) and over junk/debris, he shouldn't be faster than Huntress and Trickster. He is also slow in the RE games, so him being that much faster than the survivors is NOT in line with who he is.

If you want Nemesis to be slower, then you'd need to increase his tentacle range, both base and tier 3.

  • If you're on console, I'd probably go spirit cosmetic. Trickster isn't even fun anymore because of the lag from raising his knife.

That said though, Starstruck is an amazing teachable to have.

  • I just hope all the survivors take a cake, so I can just bring an ebony mori

  • @CrowVortex said:

If you suck at FPS games on controllers like i do then it'll probably be the same case for huntress / deathslinger and trickster as far as precise aiming is concerned.

huntress isn't that bad tbh, especially compared to Slinger and Trickster. You can always give up on any range shots and only go for point blank ones.

  • shes decent, and a relatively beginner friendly killer. SHe doesnt suffer as bad from poor console performance compared to other killers like Legion, Demo, Nemesis etc.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

This is probably Sony/Microsoft things. They don't want to lose the revenue they gain selling the base game and DLCs on their stores.

Doubt it's Microsoft. Dead By Daylight is on Gamepass, which allows you to play on last gen xbox, current gen xbox and Windows Store all on the same account. The Windows Store version uses your Xbox Live Gamertag so the infrastructure for cross progression is already there for Microsoft gamers.

  • If we have to rebuy all the DLC and regrind the game just to avoid the bad console performance, I'm just quitting. I have p3'd only one character because I have no intention on playing the Dbd grind game.

  • Starstruck is a decent choice on him. You can run it solo or take Agitation or maybe even Distressing as well. Might be redundant with Make Your Choice but I feel SWFs as a whole tend to be braver when they're against "just" a Wraith with a flashlight.

  • @Zucker_Schock said:

Before the nerf definitly Iridecent Head Huntress for me. First one shot down = "Bye, have a great time." I dont know how it is right now, but it was this common that i started to not use the hatchets till i got a hook and first hit them base attack or something, so that they arent insta dcing when one shotted. And so they got a little more invested in the game to reduce dc risk.

ppl definitely still DC against it. I've been trying to make it work(soldiers puttee and STBFL) and its been a bit of a struggle.

Oh well, at least some survivors don't mind doing target practice once a couple of people DC.

I played 1vs1 with my friend. Still the same issues, every action is freezing the game.

He is on ps5 and says he doesn't notice anything.

I have a bad feeling about our future on dbd tbh. I think we are done for xD. Maybe it is time to say goodbye until we switch to ps5 or better yet pc (no cross progression tho).

Honestly I don't have much hope cuz the switch was always terrible and they never improved it from what I have seen from others.

I think BHVR is trying to say goodbye themselves

  • the performance got worse. Hooking a survivor keeps you at the hook for at least 2 seconds. Pathetic.

  • Legion, Iri Hatchet Huntress, Doctor, Nemesis if there's a Jill. Honorable mention to Wraith.

  • The state of consoles are like training weights. If BHVR should ever implement cross progression, there's going to be a huge reckoning of cracked console migrants.

I'll suffer, bide my time and collect my BP even if the game is unplayable because I crave repetition and self inflicted punishment.

  • BHVR literally does not care about last gen consoles

So they shouldn't care if we can convince MS/Sony/Nintendo to threaten to delist the game. They only "care" about PC anyway.

  • I'd rather his hit registration be a little more accurate. Whipping over obstacles is incredibly oppressive, but if the game decides to cheat you, then you lose so much chase pressure it's not even funny. range addons would not help with that.

  • @JawsIsTheNextKiller said:

The tiny file size really did suggest there would be no meaningful bug fixes. The notes said they had fixed things that they didn't actually fix. I'm starting to think this was just a stackable event cake fix.

Having said that I'll be getting my calculator out the first time I use a cake!

well that's pretty freakin dumb then because the update is almost 12gb on console, nice to know I'm downloading nothing of value.

  • Just imagining some of the killer synergies makes me physically ill. Nurse, Spirit, Legion and Plague come to mind personally. Legion inflict teamwide damage and somebody else cleans up. Spirit in particular would be annoying to keep track of while somebody else is on your A.

  • It's not realistic to expect to be able to hold onto all 5 gens all the time. It's natural. But what's not natural is accepting defeat at that stage in the game. It's perfectly valid to have a perk to cater towards the end game just as it's perfectly valid to cater towards the early game.

If survivors want to be 8 hooked before being sacrificed, then they need to accept that NOED is a thing.

  • @Lord_Tony said:

I absolutely shred through pallets with nemesis in "the game" he was amazing to play with in that map and the survivors had no pallets left.

I laugh when I see that offering. An early tier 2 is almost a guaranteed 3k

  • Billy and Oni effectively do the same thing in different ways and there's nothing wrong with that. I for one hate playing Leatherface and Billy simply because hitting walls feels so bad but with Oni I enjoy how faceplanting into walls is something he has to utilize to milk as much value out of his precious ability.

  • it can be hard to accurately hit an unhooker if you suffer from serious freezing as a result of unhooks. Since you can't see what's going on, it's hard to properly react to and punish sometimes. I've had tentacles go through unhookers and hit the still-hooked survivor but that's not really a result of any actual i-frames

  • Oni before the cosmetic glitch patch, and Basement Trapper.

Trapper's literally a bottom tier killer so I don't even feel bad about ending a game one minute in because someone was unlucky enough to be painted by Territorial Imperative.

  • consoles, especially last gen, are super easy to spin around. If it's a Nemesis with his tentacle out, you can loop around the Nemmy and you'll disorient him because his game is possibly having a mini stroke. If you have DH, they're guaranteed to have one.
