Nothing more than this needs to be said, honestly.

Wear your name with pride, and embrace the hate. Dbd community is full of losers; don't let them have power over you.
I myself am a Jeryl main, so I know all too well the....discrimination and vitriol that killers and sometimes other survivors will throw at you.
There will always be something with these people. If it's not your name, then it can be a charm. If not a charm, then your survivor character. If not that, then your perks etc. etc.
-
I just want to have fun "doing my thing". I consider Killers to basically be a Clown at a 5 year olds birthday party. If I'm just being puked on and having my hair pulled before I even make a single balloon animal, of course I'm going to sad. You don't entertain children for the $$$$, you do it because it fulfills something inside of you.
For example, I love Tombstone Myers. I'm fine getting 0K if I can keep the survivors stressed out and scrambling for their lives.

The stars have aligned

Why kick a gen when you can just run NOED?
-
This system sucked so, so hard in Friday.
I reinstalled it not long ago to give it a chance, hoping I could be Jason.
First game? I get Jason! Woohoo! Well...too bad. Somebody else wanted to be Jason and quit, which ended the match.
The same thing happened the second game.
-
Shadowstep is nuts. Although It has a bit of a Lucky Break effect in the sense that it needs other perks to fully bring out its full strength(Iron Will)
Seriously...you can lose chase so easily by breaking LoS and just standing still. I dislike going against this perk so much.

It depends on what Killer I'm on.
If I'm Legion... well... I frequently have to track without scratch marks anyway, I don't have any Aura perks on my loadout, and it doesn't touch KI. As Legion I do not care even one bit if Shadowstep is in the game. If I'm on Spirit though? Yeah it causes problems.
I feel so blessed with their Killer Instinct. Boon squads on RPD are so much more manageable thanks to it.

Mathieu Cote in an interview did explain a little why the voice lines were removed he did say that they knew the PTB wouldn’t be finalized. They knew from the PTB they wouldn’t be in the final game. Which begs the question why were they added in the first place if they knew they were never going to be added?
I really hope you're wrong. Now that I know a killer can be Pinheaded, I'm hesitant to hop aboard any future killer hype trains.

Haddonfield has a comfy, cozy basement.
If I see a Strode Key and I happen to play Demo, you can bet your bacon that I am portaling Ruin and double portaling Basement.
Sometimes Agitation pays off.

Playing Myers with infinite t3 and auto-kills is extremely rewarding and fun. You feel DANGEROUS without your control scheme being absolute garbage, which is something most killers lack.
Baseline, he's super vulnerable to survivors playing well. Which, of course, when the survivors have more control over your power than you do... not a great feeling.
I love it so much
-
It's no RPD, that's for sure.
This maps visuals and aesthetic is 10/10 but this map just gives me anxiety as killer.
-
Idgaf about Cenobites balance
I just want the voice lines.
It's what I fell in love with in the PTB.
Yeah, I should just get over it but I feel catfished with this mute MF. Hes so quiet and creepy, like he was designed to have a voice.
Until then I'll stick with Nemesis.
-
Blight is "fine" on consoles ever since his buffs.
Blight only legitimately sucked when his POV was in his crotch and his rush sensitivity was much lower. That fix made him accessible for console

It wouldn't be a good change, because it doesn't understand and reconcile what boon totems are actually designed for. The point of snuffing a totem isn't to provide a huge downside, it's to pull a survivor away from their objective to relight it, and the more times they do that the better it works out for you- if they could only do it five times max (less for any given survivor if they're all running totems) then you won't get any real slowdown out of the situation, and survivors would be much less incentivised to actually run boon totems at all.
Also, think about it this way: Is this really a problem for Shadow Step and Exponential? Or is it just Circle of Healing that feels too powerful to be limitlessly available?
Yes, Shadowstep is just as powerful as CoH. Disabling certain totems would be a huge boon against Shadowsteppers since that one needs to be in a really good spot unlike CoH which can get by with a "just good enough " spot.
Exponential isnt even worth discussing though.
-
Should be an option. Tap to snuff, hold to crush
Snuffing would make it obvious you have noed or plaything, but I still would very much love to have the option to snuff.
-
Its unironically my favorite DbD map, and I've never played RE(Im too dumb for puzzles and I have no sense of object permanence and I get lost)
Both as survivor and killer I love it Haha.
The only thing that irritates me these days is the existence of Shadowstep but otherwise RPD is a blast.

I'm so jealous you dont even know, friend.

Severly underrated.
People often use the excuse of "i know the spawns" and "i always get into a chase right away"
Getting into a chase fast is but one aspect of this perk. You know where all the survivors are.
Going to the biggest cluster of survivors means a bunch have to move away from you. That's all time they are not on gens in the most crucial moments of the match.
And when you get a hit/down you know where the other survivor spawned so you can interrupt them right away.
The only caveat of this perk is that it only grands oppertunities not certainties.
It allows you to have the best early game possible but if you mess up early it didn't really do anything.
You explained it more eloquently than I could. I'd expect no less from a human who used to have LP as their profile picture : P
Some games I admittedly get little or no value, but that's more on me than the perk.
-
I think CoH is overtuned, but I'd prefer a Shadowstep change first tbh. I'd unironically prefer it if SS concealed Pools of Blood over Auras, I hate it that much.
Or nerf/eliminate the Linger effect.

Ok reporting back in after using your build. Haven't tried it on legion but I loved it on Nemises. Felt like an unstoppable, inescapable monster and stonks of BP. Lol
Glad you had fun!
When the match starts going in my favor, I love to go tentacle only and get some target practice in. I usually always try to tentacle in the first place, which is why I love perks that refund my time investments
-
I dont want my RPD badges going to waste so I'm against it.

I can see my new Plague skin in it's full glory!

Forever Freddy sure was. The poor excuse of a killer we have now is fine.

What guess work do you need? Survivors always spawn X amount distance away from you, and usually you start spawned facing the opposite direction of where a group is depending on where you spawned in at on certain maps. (kinda tough on the game map, and Myers map though) Plus theres always at least 1 idiot holding sprint at the start of a trial. That leaves you with a screen full of 3 proximities to check at the start of each match, if its an open map you can drive straight down the middle and pick up even faster. I usually get my first chase spotted within ~ 10 seconds of a match without lethal. Its just like counting cards in Vegas.
Just knowing they spawn X distance away at certain angles isnt consistent or guaranteed.
Your formula cant tell you if somebody spawned on your Hex. Nor does it tell you who spawned alone and who spawned in a group.
The info I glean from Lethal can still be used after first chase sometimes as well
Sometimes survivors spawn just outside your terror radius behind a rock. Without Lethal I'm not really going to waste time checking to see if someone is crouched near me.
Being able to know for sure I can abandon Hex Ruin is a beautiful feeling.
-
Your point against Legion isn't a counter, it's a blessing for them actually. Being stunned out of their power like that can be used to cancel their animations and fatigue and get in a normal m1 attack.
then again, I've never seen anybody successfully blind a Legion while being chased that wasn't at a pallet.

What build do you usually run on him when you're farming? I'm just curious, right now my BP character is Nemesis mostly because he has like 50 of those anniversary cakes still from the last anniversary lol. But Ive went through periods where I've used legion and sometimes doc as my BP farmers. Was also half tempted to build up wraith a little for BP farming but eh didn't feel like farming..to make a BP farmer xD
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2701172#Comment_2701172
Well I guess I'll ask you too what do you like running on wraith when you farm with them? And yeah that bell definitely helps with farming if you choose to farm that hard or show away of being friendly when there's like two survs left.
I'm not the person you asked, but I love farming with Legion and Nemmy nd my BP build is Lerhal Pursuer, BBQ, and either Noed+no way out or Agitation+Starstruck
Minimal brain power needed. Just run towards red shiny thing.
-
Survivors just easy mode. Why stress myself out wondering if I'll get sent to Badham when I can just play Surv with DH, IW, SS and CoH or DH, DS, Unbreak a Bill and SG?
I play cross dressing James for the challenge of getting tunneled even harder and let me tell you, having both the killer tunnel you, smqck you on hook,MSGs you after telling you to ######### and having your team specifically let you die is still way less stressful than your average killer match.
I pretty much never lose as Plague or Slinger but yet afterwards I need a smoke...
-
Old gens been forgotten about. Solution is basically "get a series s or go play something else"
-
Just hold W, but not in a straight line or in a predictable manner.
I dont think shes that bad but I also dont see Artists a whole lot.

It's fair because Midwich is a disgustingly killer sided map.
-
I'll run CI on a setup killer like Demo but that's it, I dont like the gameplay that CI encourages.
I really should try the CI Deadlock combo sometime though, but these days I rarely run slowdown except maybe One if the killer synergize with it like Demo does with Ruin
-
Day: practically instant solo q survivor, 1-2 minute swf
Instant killer
Night: 3-10 minutes solo, 7-10 minutes swf
Practically instant killer
I'm a boosted NA East player
-
I might have to try it out on Nemesis. I like to run Noed so that by the time end game comes, the whole maps a dead zone but this might be something spicy to try out
I love the idea of Grim Embrace anyway. It let's us killers turn our brains off and just CHASE....or take a breather.

Myers is definitely accurate.
Ghostface is 90% an original character. He only has the Ghostface mask.
Pig was accurate with Tampered Timer and Crate Of Gears but now that they got nerfed, she's not really accurate anymore.
Pinhead is accurate based on my limited knowledge of the Hellraiser franchise.
Nemesis was barely an attempt at accuracy, he was just there to be a beginner friendly Killer for the new players coming in, which isn't bad, just boring
Would Pigs new Video Tape, Rule Set 2 and Rancor be the new lore accurate Amanda build?

Well if you're counting a licensed Killer as the first one, then I don't see why the Chatterer and CryptTV killers wouldn't count.
If your argument is about the first non-legendary skin Killer, then she still wouldn't be the first. Freddy Krueger has been in the game for four years.
Is Freddy LGBT? Never seen the remake Movie.
I know he abused Quentin but sexual history=/=sexual preference, and child predators tend to take what they can get so to speak so I'm skeptical that hea actually LGBT.

@Mooks said:
How do Chatterer and CryptTV not count but Sadako would??
and we still have confirmation for an original LGBTQ+ character, created with consulting from GaymerX
Because those aren't actual people on the games roster. Sadako is Sadako but Chatterer is really Pinhead.

Clearly not cuz never before have I seen surge proc on multiple gens and I’ve 2k hours
RPD
Midwich
The Game
Lerys
Some Cornwinds
Hawkins(RIP)
Those are examples that took me 20 seconds to think of.
Jolt has plenty of maps that can realistically pull off multiple explosions.
-
Legion kinda came off as an Amogus killer but what we got were 28 stab wounds.
I'm not even gonna try and speculate
-
- Fixed an issue that prevented the Spirit's new chase music from playing for Killers.
If the patch notes are to believed, then it's fixed! I suppose I'll throw up one of her anniversary cakes to celebrate!
-
im NA East, my survivor and killer queues in the morning is about a minute but at night killer is instant and survivor is about 3-5 minutes solo or about 5-10 minutes in a group at night
-
still waiting on autodidact :(
fengs definitely got a headache

rpd is the best map in dbd

he doesnt feel right or fun. but hes not bad.
he is "dead" because he's not that exciting or fun if you enjoyed quickscoping.

A thing which I noticed the most was the old Add-ons for Spirit.
Dirty Ubawaki: Considerably (15 %) increases phase movement speed.
Yakuyoke Amulet: Slightly (15 %) reduces phase movement speed.
I am really happy they got rid of those descriptions.
Would you say you are considerably happy or slightly happy about it?

Survivor: Windows of Opportunity. It's the 2nd best perk for solo queue after Kindred. People still call it a newbie perk, but no way in hell you can know which pallets the Meghead dropped on her first chase. It also helps dealing with RNG-heavy maps like Azarov's.
Killer: Monitor and Abuse. It's one of the best perks to counter "holding W". It reduces your TR area from 3215m² to 1808m², so almost a 50% reduction, which is huge imo (that on 32m TR killers, it is actually more significant on 24m ones and Myers). Survivors start running later and on some killers you can even get free hits. It also has a very nice synergy with killers with custom TR (Demo, Oni, Slinger, Nemesis, Pyramid, etc) because most of them have very subtle songs. The increased TR in chase also helps in scaring survivors off gens and it pairs well with Infectious Fright.
I honestly think the newbie perk comments regarding Windows fails to take into account resource usage.
Being a DbD God and knowing every possible pallet spawn and variation means nothing when Meg dropped them all to kill zombies.
-
Yeah no, we dont need to give ppl even more incentive to DC against Legion.
-
I'd like to see it work like Trickster; a Punishment will build up laceration and a quick follow up hit will Torment you.
This could be a good way to encourage good use of Punishment. In the chase it's absolutely worthless but it's a reward that will pay off later.

@Aven_Fallen I wanna see how you counter a window shack as Legion without bamboozle or crowd control. I'm really curious if you will manage to down a survivor before entity close that window.
Not being able to down before an entity block doesnt prove a whole lot.
Like, sure, it's an annoying time waster but you do have the option of ignoring the shack or brute forcing the pallet.
Killer is Time Management Simulator; you get to dictate how chases play out.
Sometimes you just got to eat the short term Ls.

When I rubberband, it seems to be when my ingame connection jumps to 400 or 1100. Idk what the dealio is
