Some killers won't be happy with survivors unless they run no perks. So I wouldn't dwell on it
And some may even take offense to doing that lol

It does for me. Having no goal to work toward will make me stop playing a game instantly; I want progression. DbD currently has enough and also, the idea that you must have certain perks and addons and such is in and of itself a problem. You can make great builds without having every single perk, addon and offering. I've been doing it for years; so have many others.
I dont think that is true. Some builds just do not exist without addons and perks. Some killers and play styles absolutely do not need this, like your average Blight, Nurse or camping Bubba but things such as Scratched Mirror Myers absolutely need perks, addons and map offerings.

Stealth requires game sense and awareness to pull off;something most people are weak at.
Poor use of stealth is equivalent to equipping Bond and running the Killer into your team.
Most of the time, stealth is best used sparingly as it tends to have diminishing returns but it can be very powerful and rewarding.
A lot of people look down on stealth, however good use of it can waste a Killers time just as much as a good looper.
Take Dead Dawg for example; your intuition tells you that the killer approaches. Sometimes the best play you can make for yourself and your team is to crouch in the Bush in plain sight of the killer.

The grind is what keeps me playing at all. Take that away and this game will die.
I dont play certain killers if I dont have certain addons. The grind doesnt keep me playing.

Exponential blows
-
Lack of controller options dont do him any favors.
I've used plenty of high recoil guns, but Trickster is painful to aim with. It's not even consistent recoil.
-
I still have tons of fun on Plague,Legion and Nemesis. If I need to destress I'll play a round of body block pig with rancor.
I just find myself having to get over some kind of anxiety barrier.
-
Killer powers cant be hidden, but man I wish they could. Might actually convince me to play Pyramid Head if I had some RPD badges
-
Must have been an immersed survivor.
You know, one of those "If I die in game, I die in real life" types

it was a troll post meant to anger the killer mains, which happened but still pinhead takes no skill imo
If anything we are just laughing. At least pretend to try
-
Rumor has it that Pinhead is the new stand still mind game killer; you can go afk and survivors will kill themselves rather than solve the box just to prove some kind of point.

Linked sets shouldn't even be a thing for original characters (except things like Minotaur Oni and Mordeo Huntress). Clipping issues are laughable because Feng has a LOT of skins that clip through each other.
Why the exception for Oni? Minotaur head on Demons End body is the most metal thing in DbD
-
Overblown just like Lucky Break.
Dbd in theory doesnt always translate perfectly in execution.
Tbh I think Overcome is a great perk for beginners or people who struggle with looping.
This community can never just wait and see how things work
-
Once he gets his rocket launcher I think hell be in a decent spot balance wise.
Hes definitely not unpopular. I myself play him a lot too
-
Tbh the topknot nerf probably drove away some people
-
Survivor is indeed ez mode. It's so much more chill, relatively speaking. Not that I'd say being face camped by Bubba is chill, but in comparison to killer I think it is. I can hang my head and contemplate why I even play this game. You cant do that as killer since you always have to go go go.
I'd consider myself an average at best survivor, so I find it a little concerning that I'm enjoying survivor more now than before.
-
Bunny is only cool when they're glitched imo. Headless Susie is fun
Best skin is neon suzie, regular susie and maybe Joey's new cosplay outfit with the mask.
-
i agree, we should really nerf the twins. cant even set up boon totems when the twins can be in two places at once

I'd say the emperor from Starwars, but that would just be Doctor 1.2, So I'd say a Starwars chapter with Darth Vader and Chewbacca!!!
If they ever were crazy enough to add Vader, I feel it would be criminal to NOT have him be Nurse speed and have his basic attacks put you into the dying state.
Idk how you'd balance it in a way that would please both sides but I think that would be pretty mandatory for his character aesthetic.
-
in spite of his gargantuan learning curve and skill ceiling, he is easy to pick up and play.
Not that you'll do well, but you'll at least understand why you're doing so poorly with him, and your improvement will be steady. You might even get a few good matches in where you get a couple kills while you learn.
-
I think Nemesis needs access to a once per trial, single-shot Rocket Launcher. Maybe then I'll tolerate the zombies' inconsistencies.
The discovery that Discordance alerts Zombies was very much welcome, but that's just a band-aid solution.
-
did something change?
-
Understanding why humans do the things they do is kind of a waste of time if you ask me.
Human nature cant be changed. We judge ourselves by our intentions and others by their actions.
I genrush/tunnel because killers are bad/survivors are sweaty but when it happens to me? How dare you!
It's just how our brains are wired. Worrying what people online think or say will just exhaust you.
-
I'm not really excited for anything at this point, but a small lil Parasyte chapter would be cool.
Shinichi would be a pretty neat survivor. I'd settle for a paragraph of him tbh.
A Parasyte killer would be hard, though. The basic premise would take inspiration from the original Amogus reveal, but that couldn't be a primary killer mechanic because BHVR likely tested that themselves for Legion and realized it failed horribly because of comms.
But a Parasyte that takes the form of a random Survivor and cuts people to pieces would be pretty scary. Imagine running into a Blendette or a Nea and they try to eat your brain. Would make for an unsettling Killer since they'd be using somebody else's body. Even though its be useless as an actual stealth mechanic, it's still be a dope horror thing I guess.
-
The fact we cant get a Feng Min: I'm Going for the Box! and a Bill: I'm going for the unhook! Etc. Is really sad at this point.
As it is, killers can be left to rot on perpetuity because "muh solo q balance" because we cant get even the most basic form of communication and information that doesnt rely on perks.
Overwatch has something, SMITE has something, League has something etc.

I loved his hoarder / franklins combo but he can feel so ######### when you get good teams who can still manage to grab the box and solve it across the map. Too scared to play him now though because of good teams training the box back to back.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2681958#Comment_2681958
Yea I strictly use him as a M1 killer and only his m2 on animation locks / pre drops. Nurses calling on him is insanely fun too because you can catch people off guard healing and slap them through the wall. Edit: Hes insane on tight hallways too, thought I was going to get clapped on RPD today with him and I just spammed M2s in hallways.
Minus the map size/lack of mobility, PHead sounds awesome to me on RPD.
Almost no room to dodge Punishment, your Salsa cant be avoided in chase, and if you get lucky and face no Shadowsteps, your Nurses will make the survivor experience quite stressful.
-
Nemesis seriously needs a once per match Rocket Launcher. What prerequisites it should have is beyond me(all vaccines used?) but i dont think its be a huge deal breaker.
-
PH was probably my 2nd dlc killer, first being Plague. Hitting survivors through walls sounded awesome.
After putting time into him, I felt like I was being punished for trying to be ballsy with my power instead of just going for safe hits only and constantly threaten to use my power like Slinger could. These days PHead feels a little stiff to use, even though I supported his fake M2 spam nerf.
Maybe I should give him another shot one of these days. I'm currently rekindling my love for Plague, I abandoned her for such a long time. Fearmonger on her is to be feared.

Which is simultaneously weak and incredibly annoying, hence why it needs changed.
It might be weak and annoying but that's perfect for an edgy teenager is it not? All bark and little bite.
At the very least it recoups a couple of seconds invested in a chase; even if you lose, you can buy back at least a couple seconds. With the current Healspeed meta, you cant speed that up at least.
-
I just want to keep on stabbing
I hope we keep Iri button

When you're losing it's buffing one survivors healing a bunch so dying light is worse in that it actively harms you.
I say this half jokingly, but does the heal speed even matter anymore with the current heal meta?
-
Anybody who waves to say they are safe will have a rude awakening against Insidious Bubba
-
The game isnt over just because the generators popped.
Tbh, I feel way safer and more comfortable as Killer with No Way Out+ NOED than I do with Ruin+Undying or Ruin+ Pop.

DL? As in Dying Light? I'm sorry but dying light is not preventing any gens in your first chase. You're probably talking about a different perk but i can't think of anything that fits.
Edit: nvm, realised you probably meant corrupt preventing the gens in your first chase
Dead Lock I presume.
That build looks pretty interesting, as all those 4 perks are good on their own. I myself am partial towards No Way Out and Fearmonger.
-
it's a play style perk. If you're running this, you're probably somebody like a Legion who just wants to walk towards survivors aggressively and stab. Pair it with BBQ and No Way Out for even more incentive to stab everybody.
Stabbing everybody instead of just one guy is considered "playing nice" and will be punished accordingly, so this is nice if you enjoy that kind of play style.
-
I can only see this Boon working if you have a group that can grow its value exponentially by having 3+ Exponentials up at a time. So, in other words, it's a SWF only perk that you should just forget about if you're solo or even just a duo.
-
If we're talking about a specific killers skill ceiling, I personally don't think they should necessarily have more power just because they are harder. I've never minded Pinhead's chains being so weak and his passive being so strong, as an example.
If its an individual persons skill, it's tough to say. DbD is such a crapshoot of a game in the first place. On the survivor side, it's not a rare story that the one actual good guy on the team, who has expert game sense and great looping skills, ends up angering the killer because he looped him for longer than 30 seconds and for that he must be face camped to death and everybody else escapes. Sometimes as killer, even though you're against weaker survivors the deck is just stacked against you for whatever reason.
-
They're still okayish. Their kit is very lackluster but doable, somehow. They've still got decent tracking. Ofc this all goes out the window if we're on Mother's Dwelling.
Starstruck is kind of a staple at this point if you ask me. You need exponential pressure somehow with this killer, and good survivors won't give that to you for free
-
laughs in Starstruck
-
its dbd ez mode. its sad because killer was my de-stress role. Now I just rock something like CoH, SS, IW and DH and I have a way better time than even bringing my best add ons with Ebony Mori.
-
I almost convinced myself to play him today, but I remembered the clunk and decided nah.
Idk what it is. He's a better Nemesis and he's easier to tunnel with, but I just don't find him anywhere as fun as Nemesis.
-
even in the morning/days now the queue isn't so bad which is kinda nice. used to be before, you may as well give up on killer during the day and just SWF with your buddies. now i can wake n bake and play some Nemesis first thing, I kinda dig it.
-
Stealth killers do this same thing with info perks
thats just the nature of dbd.
-
cyborg ninja yamaoka from the year 3000 ripped straight out of metal gear rising
if we got a kpop killer surely we can go futuristic. we got a past and present yamaoka so may as well round out the family
-
I like my brown kits.
-
Anybody who complains about Franklin's Pinhead really dont understand Pinhead a whole lot.
It makes as much sense as complaining about Stridor on Spirit.
-
i complain that bhvr refuses to embrace swf
give us opt in voice comms already.
-
I'm willing to give it to BHVR, if they prove themselves.
But in my eyes, I don't see DLC as a labor, or as something loving. That's you trying to make a sale, and Sales are all BHVR really goes for.
Now, if we get more patches like that last one McLean was involved in, sure I'll think about it.
-
People wanna bully but they are too lazy to put in the effort needed.
New killer needs to be looped differently, who's got time for that?
-
Make each killer daily worth 1,000,000 BP and it might be worth my time
These days my dailies just get refreshed and I still dont even bother attempting them.
