Haha gotta love Burt. While he is my favorite character from Tremors (Think it has to do with seeing the dad from Family Ties pull out the big guns) I'm still waiting on Dr. Loomis from Halloween.
-
What are the current game breaking bugs that need immediate fix?
I think I've gotten so used to the way the game is that I don't even notice them any longer.
-
You're blaming the Killer while mentioning your teammates were just running around the hook.
Fortunately this game allows us all to play how we want. So this specific Killer might enjoy watching his catch die on the hook. They get to choose how to play. Maybe they realize that playing this way the majority of the time nets them multiple kills since like you mentioned, your team wasn't doing anything while you were hanging, thus the Killer had no penalty in doing so. Maybe them playing this way is getting them to rank up since it was 'purple ranks' and not a 'noob killer'.
You just play to have fun so move on to the next match and go have fun....
If Killers had to play by 'survivor rules' we'd all still be waiting to join a lobby.
-
If they're not saying nasty things to you in end game chat they click the CTRL key repeatedly. So toxic!
-
I feel like when it first came out people thought about 99ing gens. Now it seems everyone just does them. I think the Devs intended for everyone to not complete gens if survivors had an RBT on but it hasn't worked out that way. I and many others work on gens with a RBT on.
In terms of being healed after being unhooked with a RBT on it depends on if the timers had already started and how much time is left.
If it hasn't started or just started then I'd wait for the heal.
Otherwise I'm trying to get the thing off.
-
I think this would be a better post if you got rid of all the periods and exclamation points.
It would convey how you're feeling better as a long run on sentence.
-
Action speeds should be slowed since survivors are sick and puking everywhere.
Should slow everything, gens, totems, healing, sabo, chests.
(Like thanatophobia should slow everything as well)
-
Few things...they assume they're not going to be saved.
They think if they are saved they'll be killed immediately.
They don't care about the 800 points from struggling and rather just move onto the next match.
Nothing more frustrating then wasting your time to go try to save these people and they just end up killing themselves... :|

I don't understand why people had/having issues understanding 00:00 UTC... Every single Double Bloodpoint they have thrown has always started at "startday 00:00 UTC" to "endday 00:00 UTC"..
I'm pretty sure they even released that with the event info, but I can understand not know when it starts if you didn't read the info, since it seems hard to find.. but..
All you need to do in the future is google "00:00 UTC to <whatever timezone you are in>" and google translates it for you.
Its confusing because when someone mentioned 00:00 UTC May 2, that is in less than 10 hours where as 00:00 UTC May 3 would be 8PM Thursday May 2 ET US. The confusion isn't the time in our time zones to UTC, the confusion is which friggin day is it starting. Haha

I wish I could get Head On for Dwight though (for obvious reasons). I just can't justify the bloodpoint spend.
I specifically have it for Dwight! but as was said it being so wonky at times is frustrating.
I've had it work with the killer standing in front of the locker and had it not work with the killer standing in the same spot that stunned another killer previously.
I still love the idea and hope it gets worked out at some point.
-
Agreed. If only they had a testing phase before actually implementing them.... :|

I just assumed the dip is the same as it has been the last 2 years during March & April. Still 3K more players on the PC & 12K more peak players than this time last year. That's not counting however many are playing on consoles.
If they can track down the damn loading bug, adjust the emblems...again (not that I care about pipping but the Ranks need to be straightened out) and then servers are supposed to be coming...we'll see where the future of this game is in a few months. Also, f#ck all you purposely D/Cing survivors.
Even with the repetitiveness of it all I still enjoy it almost 2K hours later // almost 3 years later.
-
Think you mean Buckle-Up.
Haven't tried it yet but it should.
Unless you think Open Handed also boosts the killers aura reading abilities and thus extending it for MoM.
-
**Lithe, Quick and Quiet, Dance With Me, Iron Will** seem to work well for me if I'm trying to make sure I survive. Allows you to disappear from a chase whether injured or not.
-
I main survivor and agree....just “ClEaNsE tOtEmS”.
The things been changed multiple times already and is at a point where it can be nullified.
The whining over dying every now and then in a match because 'the killer had noed' is ridiculous. I didn't know NOED told the killer where you were at the end game and allowed him to teleport you to a hook and instant death...
Fargin babies
-
I've been using it lately (solo player) for the bonus BP. Someone seems to always be hooked after the gens have popped and everyone else seems scared to go for the save.
Maxed out altruism several times after barely getting any altruism points all game.
2 saves basically max it.
Is it worth it if you rely on more powerful perks during the game to get to the end? No.
But if you're able to survive without relying on other perks then I'll take the extra BPs.
-
You'll come back around. I do the same except on a more regular scale.
I'll play everyday for a bit and then stop for awhile.
You can only repair generators so many times before it gets extremely repetitive.
I'll switch over to Killer for a bit and flip flop back and forth.
I'm different than most though and enjoy going against the 'tryhards'.
What fun is the game if there's no challenge?
Take a break and we'll see you soon. (Currently on a break myself at the moment)
-
Just because DS gets changed to a balanced level doesn't mean NOED needs to be changed.
Why do people need to keep wanting to change a Perk that can be disabled mid-match?As someone who plays mostly survivor it's embarrassing that NOED is such a big deal.
-
I don't see Tapp as Tapp. I always see 50 Cent...

August 2016
-
Coming from someone who plays 95% survivor....No.
No changes are needed for NOED unless they change it back to its original form.
At least now survivors have the chance of making it a useless perk.
The days of it being infinitely active after all gens were completed provided some anxious end game moments...maybe it needs to go back to that.If you're afraid that a Killer might have NOED then play like every Killer has it.
Break the totems / break the pallets

-
I read it multiple times and still not sure.
Almost sounds like you're saying that 2 - 2.2 seconds after the killer picks someone with DS up they can click M1 and insta hit the survivor that used DS...? Not sure what 'using it on the first down' means. -
Fondest memory of this game is really watching my nephew play after he spoke about the game back in August 2016 when he was visiting. I bought it for him that night and he connected his laptop to my big screen tv. His dad, brother, and I watched as he ran from a Billy while we were yelling RUN!!!! RUN!!! That made me buy the game immediately as well and been playing ever since.
The last few in game memories...that I can remember

Using BT, Unbreakable, and Tenacity I went to save Meg (we were the last two) from the basement verse a Billy. Got down there, Billy showed up and hit me (instead of chainsawing me), I unhooked Meg with BT. I bodyblocked for Meg, took another hit, and was downed. Meg ran up took a hit, stunned Billy with the pallet, BT timer started. Billy continues to chase Meg as I crawl up and out of the basement while recovering. Downs her, brings her back to the basement but before he hooks her I get up and make the exit. That was the reason I used those two perks for that match and got to use them exactly how I wanted.
Last game against a Freddy, end game he downs me outside the gates. Instead of hooking me he decides to 'chase' and put the others to sleep. As I get to the exit gate he comes walking over to pick me up as I finish recovering out of the dream world and walk out the exit. End game chat went something like 'Ef this game' from the killer.
-
If you're not going to use any other offerings at that time why not use the 50, 75, 100% ones for one category?
For the 50% ones max out at 8K and get 4K bonus. Is it a lot? No, but it's better than no offering or extra points at all. -

Leader lets you do gens faster as a full team (3+ Survivors) and also lets your allies heal you and cleanse totems faster. Prove Thyself gets you points.
Technically speaking Leader is still better if you want to win but Prove Thyself does get you more points.Leader doesn't affect repairing gens any longer.

######### are you talking about...dude didn't save ANYONE after being in the game for 2 minutes with everyone 'downed'.What you said has nothing to do with what I said.
I don't struggle on the hook if someone else is able to get the hatch, thats stupid.
Seems like you've done this though...how odd. hehe
Just because I give up points doesn't mean I expect anyone else to.All I said was I go for saves and it usually ends up with those same people saving me at some point.
Not necessarily at the end of the game giving themselves up for me...OP said he rarely saves anyone...at anytime. You have "fun" playing with em then...
I apologize, I misread one of your lines while focusing on the last statement you made.
But yes, I've let someone die in the game while struggling it out on the hook. Most time I bail out though, just depends on where the killer is. If they stick near me, I stay in and get the extra struggle points. I get salty like everyone else, but I leave those issues in that match. If that happens to me, which it has, I don't get upset about it. That is why I now always assume the survivor wants their struggle points and hide someone "near" the hatch.
However, I don't mark them down for death the next matches. That was the line I was focusing on about seeking revenge in future matches. I try to leave it in that match and treat each match a fresh new one.
Of course their are some "special" people that you need to watch out for.
It's all good Bean, I play to have fun and that for me is saving people.
When I said 'Don't get upset when people leave you to hang'...I didn't say I was one of them
-
Gotta love Prove Thyself for the points. 2 Gens with someone and you almost max out objective.
Leader is pretty sweet though now for everything but gens.
I wish Leader gave a point bonus too though for giving your teammates a boost.Whether it's healing, breaking a totem, sabo'ing a hook. I always felt like if they gave some kind of bonus 'assist' points to the person running Leader then people might stick around. Giving someone else the progress boost on a one person objective and getting points for it instead of just running off.

The few extra BPs for the hatch to let someone die doesn't do much for me.Play how you want but don't get upset when people start recognizing you in game and leaving you to hang.
hehe... one of those weirdo threats of don't play my way then screw you. It is that style of thinking that leads those killer players to say that stuff in the first place.
As someone who may make that play in a match, I wouldn't care. I will be happy to join any ######### list for players. Those styles of players are the ones who are gonna purposely struggle out the hook phases until the final survivor gets found. Why?... Cause they get all butthurt when they think they played better then everyone else and deserve the save.
Hey I've been there, I've struggled it in the hopes that last one gets caught. But by your logic, I guess I'm supposed to take note of that last player and not save them anymore??.... wowzers. How is this a good thing? Ahhh yes... The'ol Revenge, best served cold situation...

I guess I'm all that and a bag of potato chips when I expect a survivor to turn up 7K for 1.5K in BP.... oh.. its ok though,... It was all in the name of "fun".
I bet then instead of the killer complaining to "the hatch taker", that they are greedy, it would be the dead survivor who struggled crying.... "Why didn't you save me? Your trash!"... LULS
I don't expect another survivor to make dumb moves in the match and get themselves killed, simply because I'm hooked.

I got some for holding onto a Lantern and another 5K for escaping with it.

Looks like a known issue and fixed internally at the moment.
Maybe they'll throw out a patch soon to fix it or it'll get fixed with the event releaseKNOWN ISSUES
A Survivor who has Prove Thyself equipped does not gain any repair speed bonus for each survivor working on the same generator.[FIXED INTERNALLY]
When a Survivor disconnects their icon does not update to the "Disconnected" status. Their icon show as "Healthy" in the tally screen.[FIXED INTERNALLY]
The Bloodweb doesn't refresh properly when switching characters while on the level up prompt.[FIXED INTERNALLY] -

Borrowed Time, We'll Make It, Deliverance, WGLFLately been running the item build:
Plunderers, Ace in the Hole, Up the Ante, PharmacyUsually bad at juking but this build works well:
Lithe, QnQ, Dance with Me, (Lightweight or Iron Will)EDIT:
Forgot one of my favorites for risky saves and taking a multiple hits so the other survivor can gain some ground: Borrowed Time, Unbreakable, Tenacity, WGLF -
This should be the whole 'quick' part of Quick & Quiet.

I also never had an issue but I also never had the issue when it was bugged out due to people using luck offerings before the fix was applied.
More info would definitely be useful for people to try to recreate this.
Anything you can remember - Map, offerings, survivor, killer, killer perks (overcharge being one from the screen shot). -

ok....so... I have no clue how yall get such low wait times, for killers I get insta matches but I can never play Survivor. why? because I have cued for survivor and not gotten a match for 6 hours! I'm not exaggerating. it was 12 pm I had my download region set to Canada Toronto and passed out in my bed waiting.. woke up at 6:30 to DBD still trying to find a match! it's pathetic. I can't find a region where I can get a match with survivor meaning I can really even prestige any of them or get any teachable perks unless I play killer and dump the points into a survivor instead of the killer which is a waste cause I can't get a match. That is the opposite of what I experience.
Survivor gets an instant match. Click Join Lobby and I'm in.
Only time I had issues with Survivor is when there is an update and I'd been in game and didn't update.Create a Lobby with Killer and it takes 20 minutes or longer.
This has been this way for months and now I'm stuck at Rank 20 Killer so I'm sure that's not helping either. -
Haven't played Killer in months due to the wait in filling a lobby.
Playing late night US Eastern time the lobbies fill a tad faster. From what I've experienced in the last few months it obviously wasn't event related nor related to the survivor / killer ratio.
-
Who cares what the 'forums' consider toxic?
How the frig is killing the obsession that has Dying Light considered toxic? Whether you 'tunnel' them down or not is your decision. God forbid these people get killed in a game and just move on to the next one. -
I've never been able to complete a kill in 10 seconds but I have gotten to EW3 extremely fast while using Judiths Tombstone.
It can happen really quickly if oblivious survivors just let you stalk them. Think it takes 2 fully stalked survivors and a little of a 3rd.
Also if he was Tier 3 the other survivor wouldn't have been able to move on after being hit.
So unless he hit them, and stalked you some more to get to EW 3, somethings off.Been awhile (few months) though so the #s might be off since after a couple minutes I close my killer lobby and play survivor instead.
-
I only play solo and must be getting lucky where it's pretty rare to see a 'camping / facecamping' Killer. And like most of you I will not count the killer staying around a hook after the gates are powered as 'camping'. I'm on PC too so not sure if this is a console issue but again not seeing it. I haven't played much in the past week so unless it's something new happening...not seeing it.
The other thing is I haven't run into many SWF groups that farm me or leave me to die but maybe that's because I do what I can to save them too. Whether it's actually unhook, distract, or take a hit for them when they're hooked. They usually sacrifice themselves for me or protect me like they would anyone in their group on the way out.
Out of my 10 or so last matches I think there were 2 killers who decided to camp.
A Rank 2 Wraith and a Huntress who didn't kill anyone even though she camped the hooks. -

Haha I told you they nerfed Healing
1st Not yet live.
2nd We have to wait if it gets reversed in a short time.
3rd Most likely it will come along with huge buffs in other areas to "balance it out".And if the Devs feel the need to nerf healing, why should they buff at the same time a perk that improves healing?
That wouldn't make any sense. They are doing just that in the PTB....
Base healing is taking longer and Botany Knowledge is increasing it's % so this wouldn't be any different.
It makes sense to give survivors reasons to use the perks that 'buff' the base % of things.... -

I disagree. I think multiple survivors on one gen is the problem. When they're all on gens separately I have a much better chance of finding one of them and then, as the chase ensues, I have a better chance of disrupting other survivors working on gens.i almost never stop working on a gen because the killer is chasing someone near me (unless they run the killer into me)
And that's the issue with survivor mains
If they got SB, they can just do gens non stop =\I don't use SB and still use this same tactic.
Has nothing to do with the Perks, has to do with the Killers so caught up in the chase they're not paying attention to the Gen being worked on in front of them. -

You know for all that survivors are salty in game (and they are, i am not going to debate that) It amuses me how many killers use these posts to basically throw salt at survivors as a whole, it's beautifully ironic, if a little sad for those of us who are not entitled.I take my lumps and my mistakes are MY mistakes. Camping and tunnelling are legit strats and i'd prefer if i could throw flashlights instead. As for teabagging..well I'm too old for that #########.
I can't apologise for the a**hats who do act like little 12 year olds whether they win or loose, but i report every single one of them when i see it. I guess I'm pretty much whispering into a tornado, but i just wanted to say that not all of us behave like monkeys, and if you as a killer gave me a run for my money, the only message you'll get from me is a 'great game!' Make of that what you will.
Exactly! We're not all just ignorant survivors! Some of us are just 'old' ( in terms of DBDs avg age) fogies.
For me it's nothing or a 'gg' and onto the next.
