Not because of maps but this year was pretty dry imo.And i felt like a lot more people were complaining and screaming that the game was gonna die soon. But i guess this is because our player base is growing.
It wasnt better than year 3.
People are saying "the game's gonna die!" about every online game ever.
-
The year just started though.

Nah even as a killer main I agree we are the power role against solo players
Solos are uncoordinated and can be easy to exploit as they lack comms
But they can still beat Trapper. Can still beat Wraith or Hillbilly. They don't even need to be good in chase, just be efficient on gens. You can't high roll and get potatoes solos every match. Iri head Huntress is the power role against solos, Nurse is, Spirit is. Not killer in general.

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that low wall mindgame worked.
he did in fact vault over the pallet right towards me and which would have resulted in his death
but because he had dead hard he got away. Which is a crutch meta perk by the way
Then his SWF friends body blocked preventing me from getting him
also the game is a survivor sided map with 20 god pallets
Myers is a weak character I'll admit, unless you're using busted Tombstone piece + stalking add-on combos and crap, but I do think in the example he's using of you, at least at that time, you clearly had more to learn.
When you downed and hooked the Jane for the first time, I could hear You working on the gen as you walked up the stairs, but you didn't recognize the sound ques. And you were trying to mindgame the long loop that's after the drop down the pipe, when you should really just brute force and make them drop the pallet and break it. It's a busted loop, I'll admit, but that's how you need to play it. You can't simply mindgame every pallet, you have to play pallet break simulator at least a little, especially on that map.
For your mental health, I'd also advise not swearing so casually. You can say "This is crazy!" or "Really?" instead. Swear words are meant for moments of extreme distress, and a wise man once said to me, "Nobody is going to take you seriously if you can't control what comes out of your mouth." Sorry to sound like a life coach but I just want to help people.

Usually basing your argument around a video doesn't do anything for the people on these forums. Not saying it's wrong, just that it's an unpopular form of evidence around here.

It would be a waste of time because you guys would just meme and hate on Sluzzy's response. It being an interview changes nothing.

Here's the weakness list of roles:
SWF: strongest.
Solo: middle.
Killer: weakest.
Customs are N/A.
So what you have is people only having fun and winning with the most broken stuff on both sides, because nothing else is viable.
-
No, the new content does not bore me, it excites me. But it does feel like little has changed when a super weak killer gets released. I'm hoping the next year or 2 of killers are great successes to make up for how weak Twins and Trickster were.
-
They'd have to. Oni, probably the biggest killer in the game, should be a simple size reference for the devs.
-
She wouldn't be made today. Plain and simple.

Sure thing
Show us how you counter a killer who knows what they're doing and is using this fair and balanced combo then.
Also i'd be okay with that, Nurse is fun to vs imo
I've never understood how y'all can say Spirit is busted and not fun, but Nurse is fine and fun to go against. It's like Opposite Day.

and sorry, but this is completely incomparable. On killer side it would be like a gen which will turn on just like that without a survivor touching a gen.
For a survivor, if you get hit through pallets 2 times, you´re down, the chase is over + the pallet is gone.
It is comparable because it's the other side of what survivors are dealing with now. Playing the pallet right but still getting punished.
-
The B.O.W.
-
Just add 20 seconds to them.
-
The difference is HUGE, believe me. It's not an excuse, it's the truth.
Look at how hard Blight can turn on PC at the end of his rush. You don't get that last-second kind of turning on console even with the turning add-on.
Look at Nurse on PC: basically unbeatable. If you blink on a survivor you just snap to their position with your fast camera spin and hit them. On console, the screen turns too slow even at the highest sensitivity, and if you have to lunge at the end of your blink it's nowhere near as far reaching as PC Nurse's.
Look at Huntress. You can't flick at the last second like you can on PC. The survivors have ages to react to your shot, and will easily dodge. When survivors run around in circles in front of you and rub inside you, you still miss because they're moving so fast and abusing the killer's bad fov.
Even basic killer is weaker. You can't adjust to hit the 360ers as easy as breathing like you can on PC. You can't get pallet stunned, end up on the survivor side of the pallet, quickly spin and hit them like you can on PC (although this assumes you have Enduring). You can't change directions as smoothly. You can't move your camera and your character simultaneously without feeling stick drag and fps drops, at least to a small degree.
Undoubtedly there is a difference between console and PC.
-
It's bad alright, but it's a big break for killers from "Okay I'm gonna step back to avoid the stun. Oh, I just get stunned anyway because the hitbox is huge." type situations.

I'd just get rid of the distance requirement entirely. Just make you last longer on a hook
It should have some sort of requirement. On top of what I've said, I think Camaraderie should just work the other way around. Instead of the person who has it on getting a hook timer delay, his teammates get it when he enters their range. It would make it way more useful.

In solo que it can be important to avoid a pop on a gen.
Then you try and complete the gen before the killer gets there.
-
Put all you need to say in 1 post. If you need to add more, just edit it.
-
It's silly to counter either. Just take the chase so the rest of your team can do gens and go for the save. If you're dead on hook, then I guess you can play around it.
-
Camaraderie. Change the distance requirement to 32-40 meters. At 16, the teammate might as well hook bomb anyway.

You're so right, that's why nurse is at the bottom of every tier list. It's why every tournament has NO ONE picking or banning nurse because she's just so weak..... LMFAO
jesus listen to yourself
She's the diamond in the rough for BHVR and most players. They can't bring themselves to nerf her because she's already been nerfed. Maybe, I don't know, it's her power that's the problem? Going through walls and all? But no, "She doesn't need a nerf because she takes skill." and I'm the sugar plum fairy. She's nowhere near as hard to learn or play as people say. Even the janky version of her I play on console gets me 4ks. In an argument of nerfing Freddy vs nerfing Nurse, here's the argument: "Freddy's OP because he's too easy to use, and Nurse deserves to be OP because she's takes skill." How about we fix things that are OP period? I'd like her power reworked because the idea itself right now is busted af and not balanced for this game. Nurse is not getting nerfed anytime soon though, so Profezia has nothing to worry about.

Sorry, I should have clarified that I also like the remakes that they've done so far. 7 isn't really to my taste though, the fact that it doesn't really have any links to ANY of the games before it kind of put me off. Again, it's a good game, it just doesn't feel like Resident Evil to me.
I don't like first person Resident Evil. That's not Resident Evil to me. You've gotta have the changing camera angles or over-the-shoulder.

And yet when I point out that a good Trickster can and will land nearly every knife at every loop and relatively quickly and extremely consistently downs people even when they are counterplaying him I get told I'm an idiot and that I don't know what I'm talking about and probably also something about how I'm cheating?
Punctuation is nice. In extreme moderation.
It's his nap pressure that's the problem. He's like Deathslinger. He can 1v1 well but taking a single bad chase could lose him the game.

I think without a key, these offerings are detrimental to survivors. Killer will know exactly where hatch is, and killer gets to define when hatch opens/when 2nd to last survivor dies. 99% of the time, not including keys, a survivor has escaped through hatch against me when I didn't know where it was and didn't want to slug and and play hide and seek for the 4k.
The issue is when keys are involved and it forces the killer to either focus on guarding the hatch or stopping the last gen or two from popping. Survivors don't have to look for hatch and can rush gens if they see you guarding it, and as soon as you leave they can pop hatch open, creating a lose lose scenario. This would make keys the issue imo.
That's what I think too. Without keys, easy 4k for killer (with just 2 people left alive before they could do all the gens). With keys, easy escape for the survivors because the killer has keep track of gens, not kill anyone, and guard hatch, OR slug everyone.
-
Trickster is the weakest and Nurse is the strongest. The fact that a lot of people picked these exact 2 killers should tell you something.
-
Periods and commas!!!

so survivors can be annoying but killers cant
Not what I said. My mistake for being too vague, but I tried to imply that things like the zero-sound slug bug were still in the game after being fixed and reintroduced. And I was gonna include "and broken items/add-ons" after "bugs and exploits" because instaheals needed nerfing way before they were, and keys still need nerfing. But that's all survivor stuff so I didn't want to seem "killer-sided", which I kind of am.
-
I would say yes because the devs leave game breaking bugs and exploits in the game for years, but this is a killer sided thing, so it's gotta get addressed at some point, thankfully.

If the Pig really wants to keep them off the boxes there's really nothing you can do about it. If anything, it's better to just pop the gens because then it might pressure the Pig into leaving them alone to get the others off gens. It's like camping/tunneling. You want to punish it by doing gens as quickly as possible while they're focused on that one person.
Y'all don't understand that killers who play like this are pretty, and will let all 5 gens fly if it means guaranteeing the kill on that 1 survivor. Pig is just another Basement Bubba. Once that head trap is activated, all the Pig has to do is follow that person the whole match so they can't get it off their heads. Yeah, they can find hatch and not die to the trap, but what are the odds of that? They'd have to still be alive at that point AND would have to know where it is.
-
@mintchapstick said:
The trap timer doesn't go down while the survivor is being chased, though.
But she can keep activating and dropping chase with you. If you go for a box, she downs you. She can crouch behind you and follow you so she doesn't activate the chase, but still is able to threaten you and prevent you from going to the boxes.
-
I'd have to agree. She needs a total rework because her ability is super busted no matter how you look at it. What other killer can beat going through walls?
-
Knowing this game, it will use up both of them for the same hit.
-
I should think that survivors have higher standards. Killers don't have to care if other killers get good because it's not like it's affecting their game, because only 1 killer is allowed per match. Survivors on the other hand desperately need good teammates in order to win, so they're gonna get as much good info out there as possible.
-
I don't claim to be major, but if you've got nobody else...

RE4 Leon/Ashley and one of the Verdugos as a killer. The Verdugo could start as the normal cloaked version with the spear (or whatever he was holding, I forget), and then power up over the course of the match for some ability, aka becoming the Verdugo boss that you fight in RE4, for a short time.

Yeah, I'd like to see a hound master that has like 2 or 3 dogs he can use.

Let us sell the stuff we get in the bloodweb for a partial or full refund of the bp we spent. Then we won't have to waste 100k bp on Padded Jaws as we level up Trapper.

Yeah I agree with that, and I'm not oppose to MMR if it works.
I just wondered how it will impact queue times.
I can only assume it would improve queue times, because you're getting matched with people of equal skill instead of rolling dice. If that makes people mad, they can leave for all I care.
