    What are you talking about?

they said that pretty much since the first time they were talking about cross Progression.

Stadia and Steam already have it and Switch is following soon (which is taking its time).

But it was supposed to be across all their platforms.

I think the problem wirh crossprogression is that Sony etc does not want that. BHVR would only benefit from it, so they have no reason to not do it.

How? All it would take is linking accounts, which is something Fortnite, Rocket League, and other big games do, which are present on PS4.

  • MMR. Hatch removed from the game. Breakable walls that are killer sided, not survivor sided.

  • It's a third health state and at lvl 3 it only has like 40-50 seconds of exhaustion before it can be used again.

  • All you hear from the devs on this topic is crickets because they know who their prime customers are: the very people you're describing.

  • This might be bait but the hitbox for Head-on is actually busted.

  • We can't believe anything the devs see anymore. They've been talking about cross progression for a while, but then in the last day or two I see a mod say "We don't know if/when it's going to be implemented." because they're still trying to figure it out and blah blah blah.

Ironic that you say that with a hag profile picture, a killer who whenever is played, can trap hooked survivors and effectively camp.

Those Hags who place 3-5 traps around a hook are just bad. Survivors can crouch through all of them, and the Hag will have wasted all that extra time for nothing. All you need to beat Hag is to have someone harassing her and tripping her traps. But since solos turn their brain off, you usually don't see that.

Yunnoo I said something along those lines of yours and as true as they are my reply I got from many on here was "git good" πŸ™„ like yeah cheers man thats a big help fam! πŸ‘πŸ˜‚

But I generally see your point, was pretty much the point I've tried making several times, nice to see someone on the same wave length. I play survivor and have done alot recently despite my relationship I have with me ol babe Michael (will see him soon) but even playing survivor, I'm dead and I'm spectating see them whinding the killer up on top of the hatch despite the EG infront of them being open... and I'm sitting there like, he's gonna shut that on your face because you're hesitating then he'll sandbag and hook you. (Match I've just seen) why do that? Just get out those doors and move on... basically a way of morse code saying haha we won so imma just stand here and gloat.

Yeah Kate got decked and hooked for that and I don't blame the killer for doing it either.

People who just say get good are part of the toxic elite, just putting it out there. And I appreciate everyone else's attempts to give us tips and stuff, but there's literally nothing you can do to beat the survivors sometimes because you were a weak killer, had weak perks, had weak add-ons, or didn't slug and tunnel. And the survivors who get away are the ones who takes hits, while you're carrying someone, for basically no reason. Or the ones who spend the whole match following you for the flashlight save. When survivors have that much time to mess around AND do all the gens very quickly, something is wrong with the game, not with the killer.

What are you two going on about? I get a solid 120 frames with drops only here and there. They should optimize the game more, but its not that bad.

Oh and consoles are just that bad, you would be hard-pressed to play any console that would not have some sorta performance issue on any game.

60 frames is a dream for most of us. Your 120 frames is on another plain of existence.

  • In the upcoming changes proposed in the ptb:

Huntress is getting new add-ons that increase her hatchets' speed after they're thrown, a new pink add-on that lets her go 115% when out of hatchets, and her Iridescent Head add-on will be limited to 1 hatchet and will no longer work with Infantry Belt.

Freddy is going to be slowed down when placing his snares and will have less of them. His slowdown add-ons are gonna be replaced with sound-increasing add-ons.

Demogorgon is getting a few more seconds of Undetectable after exiting a portal of his, and is getting a new add-on that shows Killer's Instinct on survivors near his portals without having to charge Of The Abyss.

The Twins' Victor is getting a longer cooldown after he pounces.

The Coldwind Farm maps are going to be remastered.

Small Game will no longer detect traps but will have show the number of totems left in the match.

Lucky Break will now take away both blood and scratch marks when a survivor gets injured until the perk's duration runs out.

Borrowed Time will be applied to the unhooked survivor no matter what, with a few seconds less of the Endurance effect to compensate.

I might have missed a few things but you get most of it.

  • Pig is another Leatherface, where people will play her solely because she can guarantee a kill off of a single down. She puts a headtrap on, it activates after a gen is popped, and then she can tunnel that person the whole game, making it impossible for them to get the trap off their head, and guaranteeing the kill. It's petty, but that's how they want to play: settling for 1 kill. And they know that once the headtrap is on there's nothing the surv can do, like when Leatherface has someone in basement, so they're gonna be toxic and rub it in their face.

I personally haven't seen many pigs acting toxic, but most of them play scummy, as you said, and in the way I have described above.

  • It's not that great of a perk. It band-aid fixes bad early gen speed. Except now they're pushed away from the edge gens and into the middle gens, making it highly likely that the map is gonna get split, and then you're screwed.

  • @SeannyD115 said:

It's good for setup killers which is why people use it on trapper and hag. It gives you time to set up traps without gens popping right away.

But then the survivors get pushed towards you immediately, and they'll be able to see you setting up traps. It's counterproductive.

  • @Kebek said:

Yes that's exactly how it works. Once you proc MoM and and get healed afterwards, killer permanently sees you without you seeing them while outside of the 16m radius.

That's why it's such a cool combo with new OoO. If you proc this effect, you get old OoO on the killer that isn't TR based but only 16m based until you go down.

I've used it on PTB and it was so much fun, I'll be playing so much of this perk combo once it releases.

That's such a bad downside. No wonder nobody runs MoM. Not only is it 3 protection hits instead of 2, gets wasted if the killer hits you with BT, and now you're telling me that they see your aura the whole match after that? What were the devs even thinking?!

  • @dspaceman20 said:

I could be wrong but what your describing doesn't really seem like a swf problem it's more of a gameplay design flaw problem.

Solos could have easily done the same thing your describing.

Except not really because usually solo que has 1 good survivor, probably you, and your 3 teammates who are boosted garbage. You need to be the one to sit on the gens the whole match, because we all know they're not going to. SWF has significantly faster gen speed because if you're committed enough to winning to make a 4-man team, you're committed enough to actually play smart and sit on gens whenever possible, rather than being a solo who turns off their brain and twiddles their thumbs. With an actual good 4-man, the killer can do all they can to out-loop you, but they can't out-gen you. The match is decided before it's begun.

  • It's because killers don't feel powerful like they should be. On the off chance you're winning a match, you're barely keeping up with the survivors on their objectives. And they can make so many misplays and not get punished for it in the end, but you make 1 mistake and it's over.

  • @Sadsnacks said:

The tombstone piece, judiths tombstone, and the fragrant tuft of hair are all useless without a the j myer memorial addon to compensate for the increased stalk handicap and with the full tombstone you need PWYF to compensate for the slowdown handicap.

BHVR doesn't give killers anything without also giving them a handicap in other ways so myers addons aren't a big deal.

They're not effective against players with more than a few dozen hours in the game. At best they'll give you a 2k on their own.

It's weird because when I play myers it takes forever to get to tier 3 with these addons and while running j myers memorial, but when I play against a myers who has it they get tier 3 in the first 3 minutes of the match.

Either I just get bad lobbies or the game is secretly throwing in bugged bots for me to play with and against.

The Tombstones and the Tuft of Hair have a downside of more stalk required, but then there's stalking add-ons, which when paired with these add-ons eliminate their downside. Same thing with Iridescent Head and Infantry Belt. And these add-ons aren't weak either just because they make his lvl 3 take so long to get to. They allow him to play catch-up like no other killer can, even more than mass slugging. Haven't hooked this person yet? That's okay, just instantly kill them. Lvl 3 too short? That's okay, it lasts for the entire rest for the match now. You could only instamori one person? That's okay, now you can do it to everyone. And the only counterplay to Tombstone is getting in a locker, which is a game throwing play if he doesn't have (because you have to guess what add-ons he's using), lockers need to be nearby, and you're giving him a free down regardless, so basically not a counterplay. These add-ons absolutely carry Meyers. Because I guarantee you, if people had to play with just brown and yellow add-ons, they would literally never play Meyers, because he's actually balanced with those add-ons. And balanced in killers in this game mean bullying material for survivors. So the devs have to make these crazy busted add-ons to make up for their bad design. Rant over.

    Yeah, I was being sarcastic.

Nurse takes skill, and can't just make 12 consecutive misplays within thirty seconds without any consequences whatsoever.

How is it possible to make that many misplays with any killer in that amount of time? And are you of the mindset that Freddy deserves to get nerfed for being OP and too easy to use, but excuse Nurse's OPness because "she takes skill so she deserves it"? How about we just fix things that are OP regardless?

  • There is so much you can do during her phasing. Double back, crouch to make yourself quieter and then change directions, act like you're gonna loop a place and then run away from it, slow vault a window or pallet, throw the pallet down from the direction you ran to it, find a teammate so your tracks will be muddied. There is so much counterplay, unlike Nurse. Your priorities are wrong.

  • No. Keys and hatch are just crutch and outdated mechanics that need to deleted from the game. This is the worst, most laziest "alternative escape route" the devs could have done. "Oh, I see a random door on the ground. Press a button and win!"

And yes it does reward the worse survivors more often than not. It's not always the "garbage" teammates who die first. You could be running the killer for 5 minutes and your teammate decides to camp hatch instead of easily doing the last gen, so you get downed and die for nothing, because they could have finished the last gen and opened the gate for you, but they didn't.

And then the super fun thing the killer has to do to avoid the last person getting hatch: slugging for the 4th person. Neither side finds this fun, and it's all because of stupid hatch. The killer owned the survivors and clearly deserved a 4k, but no, the lasts survivor gets their hand held by the game and gets a free chance to escape.

The hatch isn't "killer sided" as some people like to twist it, because if a killer and survivor are both running towards the open hatch, the survivor gets priority because they can vacuum in, whereas the killer has to stand right on top of it to close it.

And even if the killer finds hatch and closes it before the survivor finds it, now the exits are powered for some reason, so the survivor gets ANOTHER free chance to escape, and often times they do, because contrary to the extreme stretching of the truth around "the exits gates are always 2 inches from each other, wah!", they actually almost never are. Unless you're a mobile killer, you can't patrol the exits effectively and the survivor can just 25% a gate, hide, and then open it all the way the next time you leave to check the other one.

If you think hatch is fair, you're either a survivor main, or you're a willing idiot if you play killer and think hatch is fine.

  • Stupid add-on design. Completely changes the power level of the killer. People hate tunneling someone out of the game early, but that is exactly what this add-on does. It feels even worse when you're the one who gets insta-moried because your teammates fed him. At least with other killer's abilities that your teammates give them, you don't get instantly kicked out of the game for it. The Tombstone effect needs to go.

  • @MadLordJack said:

It'sΒ the same effect as an old Ebony Mori, if we're being perfectly honest.

Except you don't even have to hook anyone.

  • I would have prestige III'd a lot more characters by now, but I don't want all of the items and add-ons I've bought to go to waste, so I use them before I prestige, so it's taking much longer.

  • It is kind of dumb. One match there will be like 5 traps and another there will be 8. And the more traps there are, the further spread out they are, and if you go around the whole map to pick them up, you will lose because of the time you've spent doing that. Trapper should start with all of his traps, and the bag add-ons which are a band-aid fix for Trapper, should be replaced with something more useful.

  • Most of the time I'm blinded, it's from an offscreen survivor. And I'm assuming the playing as SWF thing is sarcasm because it's the easiest way to win in this game, even more than playing Nurse.

  • A gen a minute is gen rushing to me.

I do wholeheartedly agree with you, but other players are allowed to portray the game the way they want. I take it you don't visit the dbd twitter page much? πŸ˜…

The in-game news, this forum, and their official instagram account is enough for me.

  • @JimboMason said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2145172#Comment_2145172

How would it ruin dbd? Its a video game that not a lot of people take seriously, have you seen the twitter guy and the devs???

It should be taken seriously. Just because a majority of people don't doesn't mean they're right. And as we know, even the devs can be wrong. But you guys only support immersion when it's a Claudette hiding in a bush, so I understand.

  • I think a gen should take no less than 1 minute to do, so if a survivor gets a gen's bar all the way to the end, they have to wait until 1 minute has passed , since the gen first got started on, until it can be completely done. Additionally, this system will be lifted after the 5-minute mark in the match so that gens aren't set to take forever to do.

  • It would fundamentally destroy any immersion of the franchise that I have left. People already go overboard on stupid and unfunny memes, calling killers childish names like calling Wraith "Bing Bong Boy" and Blight "Ping Pong Boy", and naming builds silly things like "crack Hillbilly" and "Burger King Meyers". And then there's shipping of the different survivors together, and shipping different killers together, and sometimes a mix of the 2 roles. I can imagine this kind of stuff influencing the eventual Dead By Daylight movie and pretty much ruining it.

So I hate to be this guy, but if you're for this idea, you're ruining DBD.

  • Nurse because her killer power is noclipping.

  • The sad thing is the devs don't even realize how crutch they are. Hatch is a crutch in itself, and then they add the key crutch on top of it so they get out even faster and even more undeservedly. 2nd chance into 2nd chance.

  • @scenekiller said:

There are a lot of things that reward bad players on both sides, this is nothing new.

Keys will be getting nerfed in the future, don't worry.

I'll believe it when I see it.

  • Them getting on a gen with you is a mix of their choice and whether or not they're being chased. Normally people aren't gonna 360 moonwalk at the killer unless they're really good. Solos just don't do well in chase OR gens for some reason. MMR would fix. :/

  • If MMR was on, we'd be a lot better off, that is if they devs were to start balancing around MMR. But it's not in yet, so let the (warranted) complaining continue.

  • There's an increase in true tunneling because all those times before the nerf were mostly not true tunneling, with killers hooking 3 people and still getting DS'd by the first person they hooked. Gen rush hasn't changed though, so killers will tunnel to play catch-up.

  • @JimboMason said:

I'm pretty sure that the balance team consists of only two people, which is surprising since this game still needs a decent amount of balancing tweaks imo

The balancing team should be at least 5 people. Imagine if a court had just 2 judges. They're either in agreement with no contesting opinions, or they're in a stalemate on a decision.

  • They probably need to do this, because there's a new significant bug like every single patch, and several balance changes have happened that nobody asked for or were even thinking about.

  • I think they should do a MvC3 and add a setting that allows you to switch between individual character themes and the general ones.

  • It's gotta be Nurse. People prioritizing nerfing Spirit and Freddy when Nurse exists is kind of a joke. Nurse and Freddy have powers that have plenty of counterplay. Nurse just goes through walls, and is theoretically uncounterable.

  • Survivor: Spine Chill, Dead Hard, Unbreakable, Borrowed Time.

    Deathslinger: Pop, Surge, Thana, Oppression.

  • Windows I can let go of, even though it shows me when a teammate has used a pallet that I was expecting to still be there. I could never drop Spine Chill though. You get so much information from knowing when the killer is looking your direction, it's insane. Never get snuck up on, increased action speed, knowing when exactly a killer drops chase with you.

  • The toxic ones have pushed the casuals away from the game.

  • @crowbarman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2143511#Comment_2143511

Naa it was instant after pick up. Like DS.

I was even dropped myself and didn't have it, nor saw a flashlight blind. I should have recorded it. :(

The killer was probably being full-map instablinded by a hacker then. I've experienced it myself. And whoever is doing that would probably be banned by now, but the report system on PS4 is garbage so I don't even attempt reporting anymore.

  • Now that instaheals aren't in the game, I do think it needs to be reverted back to 2 protection hits. Maybe just maybe SWF would be able to abuse it, but it's kind of like new DS now where you have to almost throw the game to get use out of it. Getting off gens and stuff just to take protection hits is not something you just do and hope to get away with in that match.

  • Would probably be slugging all the survivors on the ground, because I let my anger get the better of me. I don't have time or patience to do that anymore.

  • I don't think I've found a new main yet, so I'll talk about my old main: Trapper.

He's supposed to be a low tier killer, and I started watching Otz play Trapper and succeed with him, so I was inspired and accepted the challenge of playing a weak killer at high level.

Trapper has changer drastically over time because his traps can no longer be disarmed with toolboxes and he can reset his traps without having to pick them up, and now this new 1 in 6 escape attempt system.

Eventually Trapper was my main solely because I wanted to Prestige III him, so I'd play him til I was burned out of him and beyond, so after I Prestige III'd him I pretty much dropped him as my main.

I have adapted to his changes. I just don't main him.

If I had to pick a new main, the top candidates are Hag and Deathslinger, with Pyramid Head and the Twins a bit behind them in terms of likeable killers.

I can't imagine the devs changing Hag or Deathslinger so much that I'd stop playing them.
