When versing a massive slowdown build. I've played against this numerous and numerous times and the end result is always exactly the same. It is always a bloody bloodbath because this killer with those perks and addons are so extremely oppressive. The game could never be fair when killers can "stack" slowdown perks, combined with an extremely high mobile and agile killer with addons such as this. I don't have to mention the name, the icon is so familiar.
I think slowdown and aura perks should be treated like exhaustion perks. Only one per trial. The killer needs to choose how he wants to slow the game down. Through passively with Ruin/Corrupt or aggressively with POP. Both is horribly broken when used together and Tinkerer simply enables god mode with it.
If the devs want to improve solo and regular queues, you need to look at this screenshot. Status symbols won't help against this. Four slowdown perks are too strong together.

30 straight L's.
I quit playing Killer normally (because it's no longer fun whether I win or lose) so I decided to try to play Killers I have never played before in hopes that it would be a fresh experience.
Apparently, that was a mistake because I've lost 30 straight games while trying to learn Nurse.
Do the people making this game understand how ######### demoralizing it is to get clicked at, t-bagged and generally treated like a joke for thirty goddamn games? I had someone send me a TWITCH WHISPER to "learn how to play Killer gg baby Killer."
I had hoped that my MMR would lower enough to the point where I might get people on my skill level, but apparently not. I'm getting the exact same perk set-ups and the exact same people as my first games. It's not even that my MMR is high, I'm just BAD at Nurse because I've NEVER PLAYED HER BEFORE. I can't aim blinks and can't land hits and I'm never going to be able to because my games are ending before I get to learn ANYTHING.
Is this a rant/vent post? yes. Am I pissed? yes. Is this meant to be taken seriously? not really. Am I close to not being able to find any enjoyment in this game. also yes.
please stop losing, otherwise you might let the devs buff this ridiculous killer even more

Complete detachment from reality. That's what the nerfing of this perk and add-on signify. A strong add-on made weak, and a weak perk made weaker.
Pinkie Finger to me is the one add-on that (kind of) makes Clown viable, and is completely fair. Suddenly a killer who has to hit you with his basic attack twice, and with his power 4 times, to down you is hitting you once or twice with his power and once with his basic attack. Is this a bad thing? No. This add-on is not just an unnerfed Iridescent Head; it's a fairer once. It's not like you aim on a survivor, let the bottle fly, and then they get downed. Take into account survivors are difficult to hit with their movement even when hindered, you have to reload after you're out of ammo, the Exposed goes away as soon as the Hindered does, and the bottle arc and speed is just so difficult to be accurate with.
Try the add-on for yourself if you don't believe. You will wind up with chases that took longer because you tried to use this add-on than just chasing normally. You will not hit survivors dead on every time. This add-on takes skill, and when you nerf skillful things, you promote less skillful things because they have equivalent or better results.
Gearhead was already an outdated perks because it's gen info. Gen defence and info perks at this point are a joke, because survivors can just do gens and waste too much time in chase for you to even use those perks. That coupled with Gearhead's ridiculous activation requirements made it an unplayable perk. So instead of buffing the perk in a super obvious way, like making it activate on any skill check, not just great ones, the devs do a horrific rework of the perk.
Instead of seeing the gens with a yellow aura, you just see the survivors' auras who are working on the gens. What's the big idea? Do the devs not realize that 1 person on a gen can just hide behind the gen's aura, like they can against BBQ, and deny that info to the killer? It's complete nonsense that THIS is what a killer perk buff looks like. It's even worse than it was before! Yes, I know they buffed Dead Man's Switch, but I have zero confidence that that perk will stay as is. Once it hits live, if it even does, I can already hear the "this killa perk OP!" battlecry of the survivors. Blocked gens don't even regress.
If you thought killers were going to be 'satisfied' with a midchapter like this, you are sorely mistaken. This is about buffing survivor perks once again, not nerfing their meta, and regurgitating seemingly random killer perk changes. I don't even know why I typed all this. It won't change a thing.
"bottle arc and speed is just so difficult to be accurate with" my man, his bottles are easier to land direct hits than trickster, don't be spreadin misinformation like that. besides, if you miss, who cares? pair it with 2 extra bottles and now you have 6 chances of landing direct hits which is completely easy to do by hindering the survivors first.
this addon is about the same level as pre-fixed iri head, and all clowns camp with this addon anyway. good riddance. but have no fear, in the patch notes they only said that they'll reduce the bottle count to 2 - nothing about setting maximum bottles to 2. so if you still want to have easy games, pair it with 2 extra bottles once again and now you have 4 chances of landing direct hits.
istg if bhvr allows this combo, i have lost all faith in their balancing.

they didn't say anything about setting a maximum bottle count of 2, they merely "reduces bottle count by 2", which means that nothing will change lol most clowns will pair it with extra 2 bottles. thanks bhvr

How about just black people? "whites" and "asians" are not the correct comparisons here as they're lacking what makes the phrase in question sound demeaning; the presence of the definite article "the". It's othering and just unpleasant.
You can do some further reading into it online, this was the first articule I could find: https://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-the-blacks-the-gays-2016-10?r=US&IR=T
mod removed my comment, but man idk, it took me a long damn time to get all the masks and we only get 6k shards for the time wasted. it'd make anyone annoyed. if black or asian content creators were targeted, and the blackface/yellowface bubba called them all sorts of names, just ban those guys instead of removing the masks...

buddy please check yourself and properly remove your killer main goggles, this forum is infested with killer mains doing the same thing.
I'm not trying to offend you but I find it silly when you're painting killer mains as some sort of tragic heroes trying to help bhvr balance the game when they can be just as bad as surv mains. again, you didn't specifically say this, but you kind of implied it.

Hello everyone,
today I just want to soft rant in classic killer main fashion over some very smol detail that bugs me to no end, ie my pet peeve with this game.
You probably all know this: you are eager for the next game, find yourself in a lobby and don't care at all about the survivors loadout and just click "ready". So do three other fellow games within the first 10s. And then everyone is kept waiting. And waiting. And waiting. Sometimes the last person will just let the timer run out, but sometimes they click "ready" at the literally last second, for what? You could just have kept playing dead, but now I am already annoyed at you before the game even starts.
Not enough that I will tunnel that person or anything, but really: why? Occasionally we all got some urgent real-life issues that will pry us away from the screen, but it happens so regularly. Does researching someones stream profile offer that much of an advantage? Knowing that you will be versing someone with 3000h or 250h is some info, but dayum, it really grinds my gears.
Oh, I nearly forgot: "Hur, dur! When is BHVR punishing those lobby delaying players? How much bloodpoints should you lose per 3s after everyone else is ready? Don't ignore this, BHVR! Its eating into everyones fun and makes playing killer a literal chore!!1"
its only a minute.. do something else than just stare at the countdown.

I heard this just yesterday or so.
It's this mindset from Survivors that Killers are toxic if they play to win. Or toxic they don't let the last Survivor go.
It's this mindset that Killers are supposed to think of Survivor fun, and play accordingly.
It's this mindset that Killers are to be shamed (called 'sweaty' and, of course 'toxic') if they don't put Survivors, THEIR OPPONENTS, first.
But you know what? It never works in reverse. I've never seen someone say 'You don't NEED a 4E!'.
I've never seen Survivors give the Killer a kill if they're all going to escape.
I've never seen Survivors shamed for playing for a 4E, or not thinking of Killers feelings.
It's a BS double-standard that underlies a large part of the community: That Killers are responsible for Survivor fun. That Killers can try 'too hard'. That Killers are supposed to give up Kills (and thus BP), because Survivors demand it.
You can see it in anti-camping threads; Whatever valid points there are, there is ALSO this reasoning of 'This person is being removed from the game, and that's unfair'. Except...The Killer's whole goal is to remove people from the game? That's the risk in a PvP game with no respawning?
This is the ONLY PvP game I've ever seen where people say it's unfair if they lose too fast.
You don't see people in a battle royale saying 'I died too fast because everyone found a gun first! So unfair! The last people to find guns should be immune to damage so they can have fun!'
Now, I'm not saying camping is not an issue. I'm saying that one line of reasoning is flawed, and based on this double-standard thought of 'Killers are being mean/unfair if they do their goal before I want to lose'.
Let me run over a few matches that show just why I'm very nearly burned out with this game and this double-standard. These are games I have actually had:
Example 1:
I try to 3 hook everyone. Hell, I don't really try to kill so much as I just play to have fun and get BP.
Survivors twerk at pallets. Clicky-click flashlights. Twerk at the exit gates.
End game chat: GGEZ noob! You suck! Baby killer! Uninstall scrub!
Example 2 (Before Hatch changes):
I play to 2 hook people. Turns out; 2 Solo's and a 2-man SWF. SWF does not save solos. Solos die pretty quick.
I hook 1 of the SWF. His buddy says 'I found hatch.' SWF 1 dies on hook ASAP while I'm looking for SWF 2, just jumps into hatch the picosecond it opens.
SWF 1 & 2: Noob scrub! Could not get a 4K! Why are you playing?
Me: You only got away due to sitting on the hatch.
SWF 2: So? That's because you suck! Uninstall, scrub!
Example 3:
I just try to kill. Not facecamping, but I stay near a hook if I know someone is nearby. I'm not giving any quarter. I get a 4K.
Survivors: Freaking sweat harder! We got 2 gens done! Scrub! Ever hear of giving hatch!? I was not struggling because I expected you to carry me to the hatch! Sweatlord!
It's this raging flood of toxicity. Try too little? Insults. Try too hard? Insults, coupled with this feeling of being entitled to an escape because 'something, something, fair play'.
But that fair play only goes one direction. And gets treated like a golden rule.
Many Survivors EXPECT this preferential treatment, and combust if they don't get it. Hell, I was playing in an SWF with a friend once, and we were insulting each other if we got hit, and even lying about where the Killer was to prank each other. We were not trying, at all.
My friend STILL exploded when he was the last kill, and the Killer did not give him hatch. Not in chat; he just started swearing over the mic. It was just built into him to expect it. I don't think it ever occurred to him that he would NOT get the hatch. Like, he seemed to think it was his reward for being the last Survivor.
I guess, what my point is (I'm bad at communicating), is that there's this flood of toxic thought in this game. And yes; it goes both ways. I'm not saying it does not. I'm not saying it's this 'us vs them' problem.
But it's compounded with this almost casual idea baked into many people now that Killers are supposed to cater to Survivors:
Don't kill too fast; that's not fair!
Don't camp; that's mean!
Be a good sport & don't go for that 4K; that's being a tryhard!
Don't play Killers we think are OP/toxic! (Known on the forums as 'I Disconnect when I see <x Killer>')
It's never:
Stop popping gens; the Killer only has 1 hook!
Don't 4E; that's being a tryhard!
Don't bring 16 meta perks; that's mean!
Sometimes, I want to just tell my friends that I'd rather stick toothpicks under my fingernails instead of play anymore. The toxicity just eats away at any goodwill either side attempts.
dude. chill. if you want the 4k then go play for the 4k, why open a thread that serves no purpose? a game should not affect you this much mentally.

I read somewhere that hunress actually got her hatchet hitbox fixed, but the huntress mains especially streamers started crying and refused to adapt and so they spammed bhvr twitter demanding to revert the change... and they say survivors are the ones crying that'll make a change lul

Everyone says Bbq is so great for bps.. ok, survivors have wglf. Use it if you want points. It's that simple.
yeah thanks man i couldn't have figured that out myself if it weren't for you. dude. no matter how terrible a killer does in a match, 99% of the time the killer will always end up with 25k+ BP with a minimum of three bbq stacks. If we were discussing this in 2018 then yeah it's fair game, considering survivors had more going for them a long time ago, unless a mori/iri head was in play.
wglf on survivors tho? even with 4 stacks and everyone played optimally (that means ending the game ASAP), you'd be lucky to break even off a 20k+ BP.

There's a difference between Franklins Hag and item thief Hag. Franklins Hag is just to get rid of flashlights and medkits, two items she suffers with. Item thief Hag actively traps dropped items and plays around them instead of draining them to uselessness and forgetting about them. Same build, different playstyle. She's also the only killer that can really pull off an item thief build specifically because she doesn't have to camp (or because she can camp 10 spots without being there.) Trapper can sort of do it, but he's not a quarter as effective - what makes Hag so good at it is that she can instantly reappear to slap the item out of your hand again.
What you want explained to you... the issue isn't that you can retrieve your item at the end of a Franklins match. I've already illustrated how easy that is to do, as a reason for why altering White Wards shouldn't affect your experience much. The issue is that when you die with a White Ward and the killer has Franklins, you lose your item, unless you intentionally go down early by jumping in a locker and getting yoinked. Which forces you to throw both health states of your last chase, a time differential that can easily get everyone else killed (and you can't get left on hook or camped, for that matter), and also relies on a locker being near enough to reach before getting hit once. Otherwise your item is going to get knocked out of your hands and you have no way to retrieve it before you're put on hook.
("Hide in a locker all game?" That's just asking survivors to throw the game and screw over their teammates. Give realistic advice. I'm not going to tell killers to do bones to counter CoH, so do me a favor and engage in good faith as well.)
If you can escape the match, it generally doesn't matter if you have a White Ward or not. You keep the addons too, but there's a perk that can do the same. The point of a White Ward is to keep your item when you die and Franklins prevents that from working. This happens versus all killers who do not prioritize their M2 attack at all times or do not have one - so pretty much everyone but Huntress, who I've never seen run Franklins for that reason. That is what I dislike. I don't care if losing something adds to the feel of "survival horror" (which, if you actually get any of that in DBD past the first five hours, I'm genuinely impressed); if I brought an offering to let me keep the item despite death, I should keep the item despite death. Anything else is excuses to protect a mechanic that feels more like an oversight than anything else.
Franklins is not an uncommon perk to encounter due to its reactivity. A killer is likelier to equip it if they see multiple items in the lobby, especially medkits and flashlights (toolboxes are strong but difficult to counter with Franklins due to being used ASAP and nobody cares about maps or keys.) I've had a few White Ward/Franklins incidents, and only kept the item once due to getting M2ed rather than M1ed on the last down. I'm not torn up over these incidents, I can't even remember what any of the items were, but I'm baffled as to why people defend this mechanic when it shouldn't affect them and the whole thing heavily comes off like people being opposed to survivors being allowed to have items. I have already established that this should not affect the majority of your item thief matches and that 1/200 stat you threw out there, while lower than I'd peg it, should corroborate that. If the survivor wants to use their item in the match, a White Ward that will actually work on death isn't going to change their behavior. It will only change the behavior of a survivor that won't return for the item before it's drained but does want to leave the match with it, who makes it to the end of the match, and will not notice the trap. Everything else is immaterial to your playstyle.
well said. if there were a survivor perk that removes killer addons despite having a black ward, this forum would be drowning in salt i.e. ######### this game i quit killer 😡 jk i come back tomorrow
but since it negatively affects survivors for no logical reason by making them waste an offering AND an item+addons, the killer mains here are happy and can't show any relatability, I guess the mentality of "killers gud survivors bad" comes into play.
why is there so much hate for survivors here? they murdered your dog or something?

It's not that Franklin's counters White Ward, or White Ward 'does not work against Franklin's'.
It's that White Ward does not work if you don't carry an item out of the match with you. Period. How is that hard to understand?
Die? You did not leave the match with an item.
Drop the item & leave without it? You did not leave the match with an item.
Drop the item & pick up a new one before leaving? White Ward applies to the new item. Because otherwise; you'd be able to literally carry 1 item in, drop it, then leave with a new item & have 2 items.
Get hit with Franklin's & leave the match? You did not leave with an item.
Get Hit With Franklins/Drop your item, & a friend picks it up? YOU did not leave with that item.
There's a reason it works this way; to prevent dupes. I am blown away by the Survivors sitting here saying 'Oh, well, who cares if I dupe? I'm a Survivor!'
White ward protects ACTIVE ITEMS. IE: Items IN YOUR HAND when you leave the match. People whining about this are whining White Ward is not doing something it never did in the first place.
It's not rocket science:
- White Ward NEVER protected items you left in a match, be it via gates or death. EVER.
- It works this way to prevent duping. And no 'I'm a Survivor' is not a valid excuse to let you dupe.
That's it. It's that simple. Why is it suddenly some massive scandal now? I mean, other than some Survivors thinking they should be able to literally cheat because they've been catered too for years?
I understand how the current White Ward works completely. All I'm saying is that it shouldn't work this way. No idea where you got the impression that I found it hard to understand. What I do not understand, however, is how you think this QoL fix will promote heavy duping.
In the scenario where WW is properly fixed against FD let me explain my perspective to you:
You die? Offering gets burnt.
You escape with item on hand? Offering once again, gets burnt, a literal 1:1 offering:item trade.
You die but got hit with Franklin's and your friend picks it up? Offering still gets burnt, but you keep the item, and your friend is able to pick it up. Let me emphasise once more, the offering still gets BURNT. It's not like you could keep doing this especially with a limited amount of WW. I've spent 10M+ BP on my main survivor and I only have 30 WW, and that's because I rarely use WW due to its interaction with FD.
Plus those who'd dupe items like this? ######### if we should care man, this method is slow as hell and do you know how easy it is to inject a full profile save in DBD with how bad EAC is?

I'm honestly surprised that there are people here in favour of White Ward being near useless against Franklin's. Who cares if the survivors keep the item no matter the circumstance? Black Ward guarantees protection against your addons, but survivors can't have the same guarantee? You agree with this because you want less purple flashlights/strong toolboxes in your matches?
Buddy I'd love to remove the existence of pinky finger Clowns running around with their extremely skilful aim of getting a direct hit, but that's not gonna happen. Making it so White Ward guarantees protection of your items isn't gonna be a huge buff, it's just gonna slightly reduce the massive grind survivors have compared to killers.
And to those who say kek lul go into a locker xDD have you ever heard of Lery's or The Game? There mustn't be a need for survivors to do this with a purple offering..

This makes it tedious for people who mainly play survivor to use the item+addons they want to bring because of the ######### amount of bp survivors get. With Franklin's countering WW, it really just rubs the salt in their wounds.

Escape.

its because its a completely bullshit perk. if the role was reversed and the killer had a DEAD HARD sort of perk to fix a mistake or reach the survivor before they reach the pallet, then it would of been nerfed on the spot.
this is the consistency we have to deal with when it goes to BHVR, there is none.
In a way the killers did have a dead hard equivalent, and that is pre-nerf spirit. Guess how long it took them to fix her? 3 [BAD WORD] years

And if you only got 2 kills as trapper using his best add ons and good perks then no offense but either one of two things happened
1: you played vs a solid swf in which case any killer would've struggled
2: or the more likely scenario that your just not as good as you think you are

Just a pub stomper, overrated, if survivors know how to verse a hag, a hag will get 0 hooks before 5 gens
Guide to make someone never play hag again
Let them trap a 3 gen, and make it so there's only 1 gen left, 4v1 the 3 gen, angle your camera facing away from the trap then run into it, this will flip your camera so you will start running away as soon as you set off the trap so even a scroll wheel hag can't hit you, exception is ping issues. Clear all her traps then split in 2's to the furthest gens in the 3 gen, as soon as the hag goes to one, pre leave and she can't commit because she's 110%, if someone get's hit just reset across the map then repeat until 5th gen is done.
This doesn't even include the typical stacked meta perks of prove, DH, and COH etc that will make this even easier
Couldn't have explained it better man, who tf is this mitchi guy people keep mentioning here? Best Hag player? KEKW

So... you're going to have to explain to me how it wasn't? The idea obviously being you look like you're doing one thing, but you're actually doing something else, which makes you unpredictable and then you win your chase. Or you take advantage of someone thinking you're going to do that (again) and actually do the obvious thing instead.
That's how every mindgame in this game works. So, either standing still was a mindgame or there are no mindgames.
mindgame is something both the survivor and killer can do especially in a T-L wall or a tall and short loop and either of them can win. With a spirit just standing still with no indication that she's phasing, puts the survivor in a game that they cannot win reliably, therefore it's not a mindGAME, more like a mind-go-fellate-yourself instead 🙂

Nurse takes the most skill and time to learn so isn't an mindless easy win killer. So are they skilless baby killers or are they putting in a bunch of work and time and skill to learn nurse?
I main Nemesis which is probably the easiest/chill killer to play, but I play Nurse when I need to get to Rank 1. Yes, ranks doesn't equal MMR but you need to win a lot of games to get to that rank which means your MMR increases. It took me, and I'm not lying, 30 minutes to be good with her with no addons. Maybe I'm just built different or more likely, she isn't as hard as people make her out to be.

No, it’s not. Spirit has never been broken. She is at the mercy of the survivor now. Why would anyone play that?
I bet you're the type who'd say standing still was a "mindgame" lul. and yes i know, the shards on her body is a telltale that she's phasing, but sweatlords would use cosmetics to hide it.

I've played a few matches as her today and still am having so much fun with her. I win most games but I've 2k'ed a few because you just can't win them all. I still don't understand the sentiment that Spirit isn't good anymore.
I'm still very sad that I see her so rarely as survivor because the majority of the Spirit main community just quit. Just wish people would listen to me when I say that she's still good. Props to my 4 fellow Spirit enjoyers that stuck with her though!
"Please reunite with us ex-Spirit mains." -TheGannMan
Majority of the spirit mains as you said, quit because they're shite and can't get easy wins anymore with a killer that literally had no counterplay. Now that they fixed her, these shitters probably moved on to Nurse. Such a shame.

You know what, let killers use lightborn. That's one less gen regressing/noed perk to worry about and just make sure to genrush the hell out of em.
I really don't understand why the devs would massively buff lightborn like this. It used to take 2 survivors to be able to blind the killer with that perk, and that seems fair imo.

For some odd reason people think she's on par with Nurse. A lot of Hags don't commit to a chase, bring CoH and you're pretty much guaranteed to win every game against her due to the fact that she always, always drop chase. All praise CoH :)

Sponsored by MS paint, Airal black, snipping tool, google images and 5 minutes of my time.
"Going on a break" is funny because the balance team has clearly been on a break for the entire year, with mclean (who isn't even a balance dev) hard carrying it with some actual decent changes.
Please revert the ADS time for slinger.
[Also for whoever reads this merry soon-to-be christmas :)]
ADS nerf was perfectly deserved. However his terror radius should match with his movement speed...

While I understand people saying that The Artist is unfair and at times unfun to play against, she is not overpowered, though she’s a bit close to it.
The Artist has a few annoying mechanics that at times can create binary decisions for survivors, or put survivors in lose/lose situations. Putting a crow at certain loops can make it completely useless, forcing those survivors to run away. If the loop is small enough, the survivor won’t have enough distance, and they’ll be hit anyways.
Her hook defense is equally as annoying and oppressive as Hag’s as well, allowing her to either keep survivors off of it for a while, or force them to reveal themselves early by running through the crows, otherwise, both the unhooker and unhookie will be hit by the crow.
Cross-mapping survivors with crows can also feel frustrating at times, though much of this is due to the seemingly large hitbox the crows have. Sometimes it feels like there isn’t ample time to move out of the way of those crows because they cover such a wide area. It feels like The Artist is just getting free hits if she has another crow.
Here are some of my suggestions to scale back on some of these frustrating mechanics to make her a bit more healthy, while retaining as much of her strength as possible.
- crows within 20 meters of a hooked survivor immediately dissipate when the survivor is unhooked (this includes crows that are moving)
- reduce the width of the active crow hitbox by 30%, forcing The Artist to be more accurate with her shots
- Increase the duration of the movement speed penalty after The Artist places a crow by 1 second.
yeah i can tell i’m going to be yelled at
before nerfing her, can we nerf the nurse? thanks.

any changes to dead hard will make it worse than smash hit. it's a fine perk.

boring killer to play as and against. you go to a loop, place birds and survivors will just run away. the only down you'll ever get is by M1ing them after taking up to a minute of catching up to W gamer...

Oh no please don’t bring this back
You know what, if killers start seeing that lightborn isn't a meme perk, this makes my tactic all the more better. Have your team all equip flashlights and at the last second, switch to a different item like a toolbox to make sure they only run 3 perks for the entire match.
Probably will get you facecamped but pretty funny :) (This is why Franklin's/Infectious fright is a better counter)

Ohh.... my point is null because you said so. Oh I get it. You think things should be allowed if they're counterable.
Then I give you the Tru3 video doing the rounds of getting flashlight blinded picking people out of lockers that's completely uncounterable without Lightborn! Flashlights cannot be countered when the killer is locked in animation, so using your own logic, they should not be allowed then... because there is no counter (except Lightborn, but who runs that anyway).
Main purpose of flashlight is to blind the killer when they're locked in animation. You can't blind a killer outside of that, unless they're a moth or you and a friend double blinding at the same time, to which the killer can still react by looking up/down.

I can agree that its uncool and probably unfair, if a perk doesn't work like it should due to latency issues. But the way hit validation was added to DH created a bucked full of other mechanical unfair situations, that aren't resolved.
Ok, I hit a survivor, when I shouldn't and the hit is rolled back, I can accept that. But I, am still locked in the blade wiping animation, giving the survivor all the time in the world to get away, with nothing to show for it on my side.
We have l seen teleporting survivors after being hit or downed, so why can't they allow the server to force the killer out of the blade wiping animation when the damage was rolled back? This would still give the killer a minor disadvantage, but curb down the frustration level by a lot!
Same goes for some powers, like Nemesis tentacle strike where survivor hits get prioritized before pallet hits, and where the survivor being hit gets rolled back, yet the pallet stays intact, leaving the killer with nothing to show for. THIS is just as mechanical punishing and busted and frustrating as using a perk that didn't work x-number of times due to latency issues. This stuff is tricky, but it somehow needs to be dealt with, otherwise you are just changing one set of unfair conditions for another one, and in a charged up environment like dbd this will lead to discontent and grief.
No, you don't get the blade wiping animation. You get the missed attack animation which is a lot faster than that. Stop spreading these false claims. I get it maybe in the moment you'd think that, but try it out in a custom game with a buddy. I guarantee that you do not get that hit animation.
About the nemesis pallet thing, yeah I'm sure it'll be fixed soon.

I really do think giving it "hit validation" (when said validation doesn't even work well) was a very bad idea. This perk is a problem, it was already the best perk in the game (before CoH) and is now overpowered beyond belief, also there is a hack out there that does DH for you just before you are about to be hit, thus making it impossible for the killer to hit you until you are exhausted.
kek how is hit validation a bad idea? havent you ever been exhausted on the ground? using DH and perfectly timing it only for it to slap you in the face was aggravating back then.
