This is Absolute BS!!! This needs a buf Irri add-on with huntress! will never increase higher then 1 hatchet!! This is absolute BS. Leather loop add-on should be able to increase the amount of maximum hatches even if irri-head sets it on 1.
And just 1 hatchet alone on huntress is a terrible add-one! make it base 2. and make the limit variable...
I don't care if 'red rank huntresses' will abuse this add-on when buffed... Survivor's are abusing Boil Over, Boon circle of healing, dead hard and BT all the time... and many more OP perks... Killers need a buff and I'm suggesting starting with Irri-head huntress

Sucks that everyone else got their shards except for me and some of us here, we're left in the gutter. My hope is devoured.

@TheGannMan whats the map where there's a staircase in the middle of the map with the guaranteed gen on it called? that map is very nice for wglf but i cant remember it
-
i dont know why people are up in arms about boil over being used in RPD upper library lol, you dont even need that perk to guarantee a grasp escape. done it 10/10 times before the midchapter. its not the perk thats the issue, just add a damn permanent hook in there.

It's not just the drops, either. The stagger is bad enough that I can't maneuver through doors and I constantly get stuck on the environment. If this is going to stay live, killers should get as many points for bleeding out survivors as they do for hook sacrifices, because slugging is the only possible counter.
yeah like how tf little petite feng min able to make nemesis struggle to move?! inb4 reasoning is that entity gives survivors super strength when carried

Good to know that after delaying this for over a day because they had to manually make a list (still unsure why they waited until the release to do so) they still managed to mess it up. Of course, the problem with buying the Rift gets a message at the top and immediate fix as it involves people paying them, whereas this is just some shards that they had to grit their teeth and give away (not even enough to buy any given four headpieces itself, of course).
Hopefully this doesn't end up like Hawkins compensation - completely messed up and then swept under the rug...
Submitted my ticket as well. This is so unprofessional, the fact that some people get it earlier with no problems and us having to do this smh.
-
They should seriously give the shards to everyone at the same time, rather than have some people getting it early. makes us feel like we're left in the dirt. i didnt get it too.

It's weird how nobody seems to play her anymore, she was super popular pre-stridor nerf. Did many people really just play her for the fact she had no real counterplay and had stuff like Stridor?
You nailed it man. Pre-fixed (i say fixed instead of nerf due to how much bs she was before) Spirit was literally braindead easy mode - just stand still bruh and easy 4ks. Not to say that she's weak now, due to the fact that the remaining spirit players often run the strongest addons.

You'll get my lunar screenshots when you give me my damn SHARDS!

did not even receive a single shard, and i had played bubba ever since he was released.

Huh, the easiest killer to play you say.
Have you ever seen a high MMR game? you wouldn't say this
it is objectively the easiest killer to PLAY. I didn't say easiest to 4k with - that'll be Nurse.
-
i think the nerf only gave an extra 2 seconds to self-heal, and NOED is only strong on certain maps where totem spawns are terrible for survivors e.g. midwich and lery's.
-
its the only killer that'll guarantee you at least 1 kill for not doing much. also it's the easiest killer to play and most of the playerbase are casuals.

I'm sure everyone has experienced this. Multiple games in a row where someone DCs the second they get downed, hooked or someone else does.
This not only results in the other 3 survivors having a miserable game and probably losing very quickly, but it also makes things annoying for the killer.
Now, it's understandable that there are rare occasions where someone will have connection issues or have to DC in a game that's being held hostage, but it really shouldn't be the case where at least 1/3 of the time where I get a good start as killer, someone just DCs. Hell, there are certain killers (Cenobite, Demo, Plague) and addons (Pig's Tape is the easiest example) that people will yank their cable against as soon as they notice.
It's really annoying.
Is there any way to discourage this?
idk about you but i'd bet that if a survivor dcs the killer should be happy since yknow...

I don't care, your methods are valid and understandable. Even killers who do this at the start of the game, I just assume they had a string of terrible games and need to spill some survivor blood in the name of sweet vengeance. But that's just what runs through my head, how do the rest of survivor mains feel? Or killer mains who may or may not do this? Do you go "oh well" or is it something that actually bothers you?
i stopped playing survivor as much due to these kinds of killers. sure the devs may have said that its a valid strat but it feels terrible on the receiving end. partly the reason why i want bubba to not be able to use his chainsaw when within a certain radius of the hook. oh and trickster excels at building up knife wounds when the survivor is in the process of getting unhooked iirc.
at least when you play killer you won't have anyone trying to stop you from playing the game.

1.5x bp and everyone loses their mind and decides to go all out and play as sweaty and unfun as they physically ######### can on both sides. im so tired would it kill you to not end the game in five minutes and let people collect more than 3k points on either side
well of course they'd go all out. i, for one, am a bit anxious of killers denying my bloodpoints by being camped first hook so i tend to play a lil bit serious than usual because it's hard enough to grind bps as survivors.
-
I'm not an artist main but I do use silver bell + thick tar which i found particularly useful on indoor maps, but other than that, her addons doesn't seem to have much of an improvement to her kit. you could argue that garden of rot is quite nice for zoning and it does catch survivors off-guard the first time they repel it.

Sorry to the two Kate's left in the match, but I just couldn't take it anymore. 1 survivor quit, the other I killed. There were two ninja Kate's left and I was so bored trying to find them on that God awful map.
There were two shadow boon totems too. So when I did find one and hit her, she'd rocket boost away completely hidden, no way to know which of the 5 directions she went.
This went on for 5 minutes before I was like I'm done. So boring and frustrating. You hear a gen across the hall and wind up in a dead end trying to get to the damn thing, and then wh3n you finally do they are ghosts....
Trying to navigate that hellhole of a map is twice as hard with shadow step boons everywhere too. I just couldn't do it anymore it was so boring and time wasting.
lol yeah, sprint burst/overcome + iron will + shadowstep + CoH on RPD reminds me a lot of trying to find p3 claudettes in 2017 macmillan

The placement of hexes that’s another issue the perks are not the problem it’s just the way they spawn is very bad I saw a suggestion that was amazing they said hex’s should spawn away from the survivors and near the killer so they don’t get broken as fast. Boons just needs the option to snuff or break
that's a terrible suggestion man, hex spawns will be too predictable. if that were the case, i wouldn't be able to get 5 stacks of devour hope at Lery's on a game i had a long time ago.
-
the only map that is good for a hex build is midwich (assuming your hex isn't on the guaranteed totem spawn - the one with the broken rubble leading upwards). any other maps you're begging to be handicapped. thats why i never run hex perks, not even ruin unless an offering specifically for midwich.

Those perks and addons are busted on Blight. It's a nightmare to deal with, especially as a solo survivor. Even SWF groups have trouble against Blight with a certain build.
I don't think I've ever had me and my random team not getting steamrolled by a Blight like this, but yknow, when there's a general strong killer perk, its gonna be much more strong on 2 killers.

Survivors used to have normal hook states for that final hook. You know what happened 99.99% of the time?
They just struggled on the hook as long as possible to BM the Killer & keep them stuck in the match. They did not escape. They were not on hooks near a gate (and let's face it; if you're final hook; the Killer can carry you away from the gate because no one is around to bodyblock or flashlight save). Every kobe was met with a smack & rehook.
You're asking for the return of a BM mechanic solely for those incredibly niche moments where you have the right perks and the right hook and the gate is open. That's...what? 1 game in 70?
No.
BM mechanic lol what. back in the day i just wanted those extra bloodpoints baby
-
overrated, wrongly misplaced as S tier and a killer that doesn't require an ounce of skill. gets destroyed by boons as hags dont commit to chases. what's more to say.

Because there's only 2 in the game that do that and they're both trash.
There's:
Blood Echo: Which will only give exhaustion if you are injured when they hook the survivor, but most people will heal before then
Mindbreaker/Fearmonger: Which is only 5 seconds at best so you can easily walk it off before the killer even starts chasing you or by the time you need DH
That's why you can't just "Use exhaustion perks" because they're so weak/niche they basically don't exist.
hmm, fearmonger on a nurse is especially nasty, they're not entirely trash

@Oiry said:
By far.
So I've made a post here not so long ago asking people for tips with Spirit. I really want to learn to play her and do well with her, maybe even main her. Last few weeks I dedicated myself to learning Oni and Spirit. Oni seems straightforward, I quickly learned the 180 flicks (not sure where to use them yet), and the possibilities of him winning the game even in the last second. Feels nice to play him.
Spirit, on the other hand... I don't even know where to start.
I think I've played around 30-40 games with her and I sucked. Absolutely. I'm going to guess part of the problem was that (for some reason) my MMR on her was higher than it should've been (although we will never know because it's hidden). In the last few games, I finally started getting lucky (getting newer survivors judging by their perks) and managed to get some 4 kills. However, this raises a question, how do you play Spirit on high MMR?
Currently, every other killer seems much easier to play. Nurse is an absolute killing machine. I do use the flannel on her, but it's only really useful in maps like RPD or in specific situations like blinking out or into the basement. Billy and Blight are hard AF, but I can literally use their power for mobility and then play them as M1 because they're 115% ms. (Again, I'm saying Spirit is by far the hardest for me to play, I'm not saying she is generally the hardest to play)
Now when I a survivor is not careful against my Spirit, I will find them. Breathing sounds are easy to hear, hard to track. Getting out of phase and quickly identifying where a survivor is compared to your current position is actually very hard and stressful, because you usually have a very small window of opportunity to hit them before they gain distance or vault a window/pallet. If they run, on most maps I hear steps. If there is grass, most of the time I will spot it moving. But on maps like the new map.... ######### am I supposed to do? I can barely hear steps, and there is almost no grass.
And the main problem: Iron will. Towards high MMR, every match the minimum amount of Iron Wills was basically 2. Usually, I get 3, many times 4. How do you play around it? I hope I'm wrong, but it literally feels like Iron will currently hides your breathing sounds if you are injured. Again, I don't have friends to test it and I hope I'm wrong. So what a survivor will do is they standstill, or rather walk to avoid grass and you have 0 capabilities to find them.
Question: is there a skill I'm missing here? What's the secret way to counter this playstyle?
funny how she went from the easiest killer to play to being the hardest one. i welcome this change.
-
wow, nice one bhvr

It counters a lot of survivor perks such as aura perks like Object of Obsession and Bond or exhaustion perks like Sprint Burst and Dead Hard when they're injured.
annoying ass perk to deal with especially against a nurse, but otherwise, meh. i use dead hard rather than sprint burst so fearmonger doesn't really do anything. the blindness thing can be a pain in the arse if killer's using pain resonance too.

I don't see "very high skill play". You can bounce, then literally take your time, look around, sip a cup of coffee or tee, and still have some time left before you have to bounce again.

I think it's better to nerf the perk instead of the killer. This perk is obviously busted on Artist and needs a nerf.
perk is broken on doc and freddy too. they should never have touched dms and let it be dependent on obsession switching perks. here's hoping it never comes out the way it is into live.

I don’t mean end game chat, I mean where people go out of their way to look up your username and send you a personal message about how much you suck. As a killer main, every time, I get a "gg" I am always surprised because I think it is just more hate mail.
Well my friend, who is a survivor main, says he doesn't experience this. Do any other survivors out there share in his experience, or is the opposite true?
Spirits are particularly hateful players. They often tunnel and when the tunnelled person escapes, they can't handle the fact and show it in the end game chat.

I'll be okay with them nerfing this if they undo all the wiggle buffs survivors are getting.
imagine thinking wiggle buffs are as strong as this unused perk buff lul. its only one second and its very situational considering the fact that hooks will always be right beside you when you pick up someone. the survivor goes to the corner of the map? yeah theres a hook near there too.

The bug fix makes it consistent with other killer powers, but this is a near negligible scenario anyways. Nurse basically never gets pallet stunned.
nurse never gets pallet stunned? sure man if you wanna believe that lol. with this buff its one less defense for survivors. i hate, hate how clearly bhvr balances this game around nurse

I love how everyone calls fixing Nurse's bugs a "buff" when all that's happening is she's being brought back to how she was originally meant to be post-nerf.
so you agree that them fixing dead hard from being exhausted on the ground isn't a buff, right?
-
leave it to bhvr to buff overpowered killers and nerf the ######### ones.
-
game is killer sided if you only play nurse (recharge addons) or blight (ring+crow) - otherwise, killers usually get stomped on by swfs with map offerings. otz's "experiment" is not that good of a reference, the survivors he was up against were complete babies/messing around and i cringed hard watching it.
-
Considering the fact that bhvr removed bubba's masks entirely and completely ignoring the report system, as well as blatant cheaters running rampant, I'd say you're completely safe my man. reporting in this game is just to make you feel better.

At ash ranks Legion can get merciless without killing a single survivor.
All killers technically but it's much more doable with Legion
really? how? I have tried many times trying to get merciless without sacrificing a single survivor, and I got the categories brutality, deviousness, hunting maxed out and death hooked everyone and only ever get ruthless. you're kidding, right?
