And how do you asecure the survivor won't wait my swing????
if you are literally humping their backs, it'd be pretty hard to react to the swing. do that.

As you can see from the video below, footages are only from one survivor. ONE SURVIVOR. It was enough to question me why I do still play this game...
Dear BHVR, do you know what is to face 4 survivors all of them with DH nowadays?
Honestly, I would trade any killer perk to get rid of Dead Hard. You can take away too Corrupt, Pop, Ruin, Noed, anything.
Am I being too dramatic? I don't know, I'm just tired of facing this perk every single match.
PS: I know people are gonna argument about my ping, I do play with less than 30 ms latency, the survivor had +68 ms
stop swinging immediately after every phase walk. there. problem solved.

Wait out their DS? Screw that, I eat it because I am hard committing to them regardless. Hell if I care.
first chase and a down -> 3 gens done
eat ds -> 2 gens done
end result 1k :/

You get the point?

Wait... what?? Flashlight saves are a game mechanic, and thus should be immune to perk choices???
Well, to that I say a killer hitting a survivor and downing them is more of a game mechanic (being as it's central and required for the killer to achieve their objective). Therefore, can we please remove borrowed time, and bt-in-a-bottle, etc.
Also, since killers have to pick up survivors to hook them, let's eliminate DS too.
Whilst we're at it, get rid of self-care, medkits, CoH, etc, because the killers have to injure survivors to next be able to down them.
You get the point?
your point is null since everything that you stated is counterable lol. borrowed time? either go for the unhooker or dont camp. you were camping and got body blocked by the unhooked person? tough luck, you should've been faster.
styptic agent? wait 8 seconds. got DS'd? well maybe dont go for the unhooked guy or just slug.
your complaint on self-care, medkits, CoH... those don't stop you from downing them if you commit.
lightborn? well ######### nothing that the survivor can do other than hoping teammate is on a pallet.

Basekit ds and bt? And wanting to activate it twice? you wanna make killers quit faster? lol
you do realize ds and bt are absolutely useless if you always go for anyone but the unhooked person, right? get over it.

While stretched res does give advantages to both killer and survivor, I don't understand how one could play it for a long time. I tried it before and by the time I'm done, I had a massive headache.

Huh, so survivors can remove game mechanics perks like off the record, bite the bullet, shadow step, lucky break and ect.
Take silent killers for example all you need is spine chill to counter their play style.
Killers have a right to counter your play style when you play survivor too
There's a counter to spine chill. Look away from the gen as you're approaching it. You don't need to do a full moonwalk to avoid triggering it, rather have the gen at the edge of your screen so you won't bump into things.
As for lightborn? Absolutely no way to get around it, other than focusing the hell out of gens for that killer.

If it is, why do people keep trying to blind me?
I only bring it if I get a 4-flashlight lobby, and in that case, it's a QoL perk - the lobby signals to me that the survivors are likely a SWF and they're going to harass me over every down, and I just ain't got time for that. You know the survivors are going to crawl away from walls so their friends can get the angle, or locker tech. I can't think of a single time that people actually recognized I had Lightborn after the first failed blind. It takes like 3 for people to stop trying, and that's if I don't hide that I have it; If I try to look away or chase flashlight holders away from the down, they'll keep beaming at me for most of the match.
low mmr matches heh

Between Circle of Healing and the snowmen, its never been easier to proc mettle of man since its nerf. You can now easily get an MoM every other cycle of farming protection hits.
SWFs pls, just no
are you complaining that a useless perk now has some synergy with CoH?
-
@Marc_go_solo said:
Thinking about it, if I get Lightborn in my mix I often hide the fact I have it, so of someone tries to blind I'll look away, leaving them thinking I don't have it, but in return I am protected and get the aura ability, which can be overlooked as a good effect.
If I were to just deathstare the flashlight, then survivors would leave it, but by leaving them to think I don't have it gets a lot more value out of it.
its obvious if someone is a lightborn user, you can't hide it.

@jarjargist21 said:
I went up against a 4 men swf who picked the Deadman saloon. Who all had 4 flashlights. And try to do that locker trick in the main building. Luckily I used lightborn to play. If I didn't then I would've got annoyed and stop playing that game.
Endgame they started cussing me out because I used lightborn and got the 4 k. Look I'm going to say if locker blinds didn't exist I wouldn't use lightborn. I play to have fun not to get bullied to a point where I don't enjoy the game.
Killer mains you shouldn't feel ashamed to use lightborn, the players your facing aren't you. So don't listen to them. (Most of them don't play killer).
A perk that removes a game mechanic such as flashlight saves shouldn't be a thing. No idea why they would buff lightborn after hard nerfing flashlights, 5 seconds to blind a lightborn user was already bad enough, now they're immune to it.
It'd be better if lightborn is immune to blinds, but can still be flashlight saved with the regular timing.

pretty sure you can only dead hard through a killer during an animation lock such as picking up a survivor or vaulting a window.

Playing Myers with infinite t3 and auto-kills is extremely rewarding and fun. You feel DANGEROUS without your control scheme being absolute garbage, which is something most killers lack.
Baseline, he's super vulnerable to survivors playing well. Which, of course, when the survivors have more control over your power than you do... not a great feeling.
yeah good luck trying to achieve infinite t3 before the survs are there teabagging yo ass in the gates

As someone who has avoided Mikey bc his early game is "slow" I decided to pick him up bc I dumped points on him to unlock save the best for last and I have to say in having a fun.
I mean, I'm running his 3 perks, plus pop. My games have actually been fun. I'm speeding around the Map using play with your food, with 4 to 6 average stacks of save the best, and last game I got up to 8 stacks of dying light.
Maybe my MMR is low still idk. But I'm actually having fun zooming around fast swiping and slowing stuff down.
Is it top tier? Probably not. But I have to say I'm surprised I'm doing as well as I am.
Is it possible people have just forgotten how to go against him? These survivors are panicking when I stalk to the point they bust skill checks running.
Lol. Idk. I'm sure ima hit a mmr wall here soon but for now
Weeeeeeeeeeeeee.
nope, he's an awful killer and probably the weakest in looping.

For me, not any perk in the game. Not gen speeds. Not even SWF or MMR. What really gets me is when the LEAST SKILLED survivor teabags in the gates. Like the ones who you feel bad for so you don't hook them a third time because they get two tapped by a hag without traps LMAO. Just something that really gets me going lmao makes me chuckle to see it.
This is as a survivor as well. I hate to see the survivor that urban evaded in the edge of the map teabag a killer when that killer totally destroyed that survivor during the match. A lot of the time I see them escape because they are carried.
today i had a challenge to escape hatch with the perk Alert. Leatherface went afk on me after running him for a few gens. You would think that the survivors would just escape and move on to the next match, since this is like an AFK killer match to them, right? No.
They waited until last second and I had no choice but to go through the gates. And it took me a lot more matches to complete this stupid challenge. I seriously, seriously hate survivors who stay at the gate for no damn reason.

@Zozzy said:
If it does it wont be a change that actually makes any difference. They need to smash it with the nerf hammer. I'm talking a MOM level nerf.
Healing should take 30 seconds with no stacking
the boon radius needs to be 10m max if not less
these two changes will make it bearable.
that'll be seriously awful. might as well use self care instead.

I don't like it. Even on my monster OLED screen, it can be difficult to make out details.
I won't dodge a lobby because of items but I will definitely bring Franklins (and Hoarder on some killers) - now though, about a third of the models are literally impossible to determine what they are bringing - and that's on an enormous display.
I don't think the answer to dodging lobbies full of items is to make it harder to see those items. The answer is figuring out why people would dodge those lobbies, right?
how is it difficult? medkits, toolboxes, maps, flashlights are friggin huge items that you can see from a mile away. keys? firecrackers? useless items and nothing to be afraid of.why tf are there people complaining on such a mundane thing?
-
@Guest1567432 said:
Well survivors have always complained that killers dodge lobbies because of items sooooooo here we are.....just zoom out so far you can't tell what the survivors are bringing.

Oh yeah, the same old song that never corresponds to reality of "you just stopped playing the killer because it's not easy anymore"
If nerfing killers only gets rid of the bad players, then were are all the "good" players? Because whenever a killer gets nerfed you just stop seeing it.
Where all are the good Freddys, Billys, Spirits who supposedly didn't get carried by add-ons and other stuff?
the truth is there are no good freddy's or spirits my man. Billy did not deserve that nerf but freddy and spirit most definitely did.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
This happens every time something terrible players used to think they're good gets nerfed.
Multi-blink Nurse? Nurse got a massive swing of the Hammer and down she went, taking both good and terrible Nurses down with her (good players couldn't deal with the bugs, bad players couldn't be asked now they no longer had 4 blinks without downsides, or old OmegaBlink:tm: to basically guarantee wins).
Forever Freddy? Down went his add-ons and you saw a lot less people stacking every possible slowdown. Some even used chase perks. Then he got hit again- perhaps a bit too hard- so off he fell.
Old Old Spirit? Remember when everyone said them adding in a vault animation and removing collision would kill her? Then Stridor went and she was still incredibly powerful? Then the most recent change happened and she's s t i l l incredible, just god forbid you have to use brainpower now.
Whenever there's something obviously overbearingly good then bad players will flock to it like moths to a lamp to make themselves feel better. Then, when it's taken away and they're faced with the reality, they figure out they only enjoyed stomping people and migrate to the next thing that takes the least effort for the greatest reward. It was Spirit, it was Freddy, and it was Nurse. Who it is now I genuinely don't know, I haven't played enough to see it yet.
preach man. i loved when there were so many posts begging bhvr to not nerf spirit and posts saying that she requires skill lmao. now she requires actual skill and many shitters cant handle it

@Myla said:

First of all, i am NOT against some solo buffs to bring them on par with SWF etc, i even want some buffs.
(with this i mean that i want information buffs for solos, nothing else)
But i keep seeing people crying for killer nerfs and hardcore survivor buffs just because they have bad experiences as solos.
More often then not they then blame the killers and act like the game is extremly unbalanced which is simply not the case.
The reason why solo is so hard is because of YOU or YOUR teammates.
Either YOU screw your mates over with sonethng or YOUR mates screw something over.
Most DBD players are really bad and most of them are playing solo which causes your games to have alot of survivors who just insta drop every pallet (even if the killer isnt even chasing them...) or you get survivors who dont do gens, dont go for unhooks, DC on first down and all this stupid stuff.
The thing is, while getting them in your team is extremly frustrating, you can only blame your team and not the killer or the game balance.
IF they would ,,balance" the game in a way one survivor is able to simple erase the tons of errors their mates made and is able to easily finish all the gens and totems by themselfs if needed (because of bad mates), how do you think is the killer supposed to have a chance?
Its a 1vs4.
Its a teamgame.
You have to work together to escape and if your team does bad plays, your whole team has to live with it.
You just shouldnt be able to easily do everything alone in a 1vs4 because this would just destroy the meaning of the game and the balance.
Did you ever won a match with a decent random team and was like ,,Damn we won, some things on our side should get nerfed so the other side can stand a chance."?
I never saw anyone saying something like that.
Its always someone instantly crying for buffs for their side or nerfs for the other side if they lose.
Also this isnt a us vs them, it goes BOTH ways so dont even try to start a war here now.
when you're used to at least a duo squad, solo queue is unbearable due to the lack of coordination. even with just 1 friend and communicating makes the game easier to handle.
-
day: instant queue for survivor. an upwards to 5 mins for killer.
night: opposite
-
whew that's weird hahaha
-
sheesh, that's quite a surprising majority agreeing that she's balanced. i think y'all are facing terrible nurses, Asian nurses literally end the match in 3 minutes.

As you probably know, when a survivor is fully sacrificed on a hook, that hook is broken for the rest of the trial and can't be used again. I've never really seen this mechanic discussed much at all, and I wanted to know what others thought about it.
With scourge hook perks being created and being fairly popular, I think this mechanic should be removed, and hooks should be usable even after finishing a sacrifice on it. It would be a nice and simple killer buff. Although it's fairly rare to occur, this mechanic can potentially create scenarios where you don't have any close hooks, and you can't pick up a survivor without having them wiggle off, unless you want to slug them / let them bleed out. It can be especially noticeable on maps like Groaning Storehouse with it's dead-end areas that only have a couple of hooks.
There are literally hooks everywhere so close to each other that the only way the survivor can wiggle off is by having teammates bodyblocking.

Isn’t low MMR full of camping and tunnelling? That’s what I seen to hear so it would help and make better games rather than a new player being camped/tunnelled and then quitting the game thing ######### is this #########.
DS can’t be used in any way as an obstruction anymore unless they literally do nothing which still helps the killer. Also your last quote is completely irrelevant
Exactly, DS literally prevents you from progressing the game if you wanna keep it active, so that's also one more reason why having it usable per hook state wouldn't be a bad idea, to me. It just punishes those who decide to play dirty.
-
@Bennett_They1Them said:
sure, but it should deactivate if a survivor enters a locker, to prevent multiple DS-> Head Ons per survivor.
also, because "multiple DS -> Head ons" is a normal thing for Twins, that should stop being a thing, but I digress, that's a different topic.
That would be a good trade-off.
-
@themoobs1984 said:
Tunneling may be a noob tactic but it's not illegal or against the rules. DS is fine where it is. If the killer wants you dead bad enough you're gonna die. Unfortunate side effect of playing DbD. Can't keep buffing DS and other perks because some low MMR killers like to tunnel.
Eventually yeah you'll die if the killer has a hard-on for you. And while it's a strategy, many would agree that it's a dirty one and honestly, having Decisive Strike available twice will push killers away from tunnelling because of the time wasted, making them an overall better player, no? Those who tunnel often only get 1k by the time gates are open, which means that it's not a great strategy, despite some members here thinking otherwise.
-
@Marigoria said:
Leatherface is fine how he is.
DS on the other hand, I think it should activate after both hook stages, so it can actually counter tunneling.
Agreed with DS. It has certainly fallen from grace and making it 2 time use wouldn't really hurt anyone. As long as you don't tunnel, this perk is essentially useless.
