I actually don't mind it there. It's a goofy mode, and killers have buffs.

Okay, then you don't see them use Sprint Burst immediately in chase. Since Exhaustion perks are so common, you can safely assume that they're just waiting to use Lithe, Balanced, Dead Hard, or whatever. Now you once again have your rationale that the chase will take somewhat longer because they DON'T have Sprint Burst, and convenient excuse for abandoning it to return to the hook. All roads once again lead to tunnelling, because there is nothing stopping you.
No, all roads don't lead to tunneling. I'm pretty damn anti-tunnel. But a part of survivor macro is knowing that hook states are a shared resource and that you have to know when to take aggro, or more. I regularly throw myself into the killers arms to save teammates or to distract them away from gens being worked on if I have no hooks and a match has progressed nicely.
I don't really use haste perks myself but I don't mind the others. SB is the only problematic one, with no activation conditions and no real downside. People complain about ratting with stealth. Cheesing away from a killer for free at the first hint of engagement isn't that much different if the killer knows they're being dragged away into a losing sitiation, but people don't want to accept that they're part of the problem. It's not logical for a killer to waste a ton of time on a person that's taking them away from the activity.

For real. People complain about aggressive players, but I love them. They're interacting with me and they're not just prerunning or sitting on gens. Send me all the bully squads, sabo teams, and flashlight-wielding chase-shadowers.

My unpopular opinion is that Pop Goes the Weasel was fine at 20% or even 25%, at least compared to Pain Res being 20% still. The way it used to be was that Pop was 30% and Pain Res was 25%, and Pain Res still had the higher pickrate despite being riskier as a Scourge Hook. Now, Pop does less than Pain Res and the pickrate divide has gotten even larger, Pain Res at a whopping 30% pickrate and Pop at a 15%. I almost never see Pop Goes the Weasel in my survivor games anymore. Its just Pain Res Dead Mans, because it buys so much more time and can be used reliably by killers with low mobility.
I personally think because of its synergy with Dead Man's Switch, you could lower Pain Res to 15% and up Pop to 20% and the pickrates would probably stay more or less the same, but gameplay wise it'd likely help feel less OP. Maybe lower Dead Man's to 30 seconds from 35 too for good measure. Just make Pain Res and Pop a little more even than they are now, to encourage killers to use more variety for their gen slowdown perks.
Also on the topic of Nowhere to Hide, I think they should bring back Distortion's ability to recharge just in the killer's terror radius, lower it to 1 token, and it'd be perfect, and Nowhere to Hide wouldn't feel as cheap. With old Distortion Nowhere to Hide was kind of a risky pick because there was a high chance you'd get almost no value out of it due to survivors playing extremely smart/stealthy with the generators they chose to repair. You'd waste so much time trying to find someone you learned had Distortion, or you'd lose a gen for thinking no one was there and leaving it for too long. Used to be a lose-lose, and with a slightly buffed Distortion that counter option could come back.
I think TBTC has stolen some of Pop's thunder. I don't usually like regress but I like TBTC because I can do a casual drive by on a gen while in chase and get a satisfying animation with it. And I won't get blastmined. It's lower percent, but way more convientant.

I hate it because there's this idea that chase has to be going all match with no down time, just ping pong between auras. some killers are just insufferable and exhausting having to stave off the whole game there comes a point when you just don't have the resources to deal with it. Like, what's a pallet or window gonna do against a Nurse? You need stealth in order to keep them busy without resources like by tapping priority gens and have them keep coming back
Thats why I dont often use perks like BBQ and Friends. One, because they do create a very brain-off gameplay loop, but also because they're so dodgeable. SP has its uses, but I run Weave, Nurse's and Lethal. It's not doing anything much against those. Even if an Elusive person is healing, I'll pick up the other with Nurse's. It's too situational to be concerning, especially against perks that were already easy to counter anyway. And even if it were strong, it needs to stay. There's too much aura in this game and not enough counters. And we're about to have Jason, whose abilities rip right through Elusive and basically any stealth perks.

Main objective of survivors is to repair 5 gens and survive. Does sprint burst help with that? Definitely. Exhaustion perks are all about buying surv more time without(mostly) much effort.
There are survivor perks that straight up punish you for not tunneling like resurgence or deliverance. Those are far more problematic if we talk about tunneling encouragement.I understand the need for Deliverance and Resurgence more than SB. There's been plenty of times where I've gone to second or even been left to die on one hook and would have loved to have been able to unhook myself. If anything, I just wish it didn't work with DS. Same for Wicked. I don't love how quickly Resurgence gets people back on a gen, but it can be a good tunnel deterrent against a killer that automatically swerves from chase when they hear the unhook notification.

The problem is that SB is unconditional, it only require you to not run. Unlike ANY other exhaustion perk, which has a requirement for activation.
That is the entire reason why we are having this discussion in the first place.Yep. It's the only one I have a big issue with. Haste perks overall are fine, but SB is too free of a way to cheese you way out of chase against much of the roster, especially with other perks that help with that goal. Had this one yesterday:
Maximum chase avoidance. And that's up to him, but it sure didn't help him in the end.

I wish you could play some Bubba or Cenobite at high MMR, then you'd probably agree that the pallet changes are pretty out of control. I've said before and I'll reiterate it here, I'm not even that upset with the number of pallets, its the density, the density only ever needed a few extra meters here and there reduced on some of the larger maps. Instead, I'm now having to fight for my life on maps like Hawkins, Midwich, and Lery's, all small indoor maps, that have guaranteed pallet amounts so high that one classroom, small doctor's office, or supply closet, will have both potential pallet loops spawn, creating a chain that I don't remember ever spawning simultaneously in the past years I've played this game. The map The Game had the reputation of being the pallet tour map because it notoriously had these kinds of chained loops sometimes in the same room. But now? Its nearly every map. The Game actually feels nice to play on because at least it only has like 3 windows on the whole thing, so the pallets still feel like a resource and not an infinite well of window-vault extending chase devices.
I don't make assumptions about MMR. Apparently everyone in this forum is high MMR judging by how many people proclaim it to be so, even though you can't show me your MMR, and I can't show you mine. The part that consistently perplexes me is how much people that think they're definitely in high MMR but also talk about what a constant struggle it is, which implies they shouldn't be there. I can confirm that my opponents in both roles tend to be better than me, which implies my MMR is too high. But I have no idea why, with fairly average numbers. Again, it's a problem with the matchmaking system.
I play against high-hour, high-skill Bubbas and Pinheads regularly enough, and they beat me regularly. I've played againt more than one comp Bubba that has 4ked me at 5 gens. A good Pinhead is a nightmare to deal with. Nothing will really convince me the killer is the issue. I mean, Clown and Dredge aren't exactly known as the games most OP killers, yet I manage. And if I hated the experience, I have 40 others to choose from.

Funny thing is if you removed matches when the MMR system put me against sub-100 hour survivors, or survivors that literally just gave up because they weren't having fun (or whatever reason they decided to DC or throw the match) then my killrate would probably be like, 30%, maybe 40% at the very best, across the board. Apply it to specific killers, and my winrate with Bubba is likely even lower.
The matches where I play against at least decent survivors who try their best, I get face-slammed if I don't play like the sweatiest tryhard who ever lived, all to just get maybe 3 or 4 hooks then watch everyone teabag me at the exit gate or hide for a whole minute during the endgame collapse.
Just curious, what killer do you mainly play?
I mean sure, if you subtract a bunch my stats they're also low. But they'd also be higher if I didn't give hatch and mercy so much, or if I played chessier. But that's not really how it works. The stats are what they are. If I can't beat really good players I don't blame the game. That's on me. They're just better than me. Playing both roles pretty much daily makes it very easy to identify when opponents are more skilled than I am. If there's one other thing I blame, it's matchmaking. But it's not the game itself.
I'd love to give you an exact top 10 in order by hours but the stat page isn't working. So, off the top of my head: Wesker, Henry, Dredge, Plague, Clown, Wraith, Freddy, Vecna, Dracula, and Micheal (mostly pre-rework, now Scratched Mirror only).

Additionally, not to be that guy but I do have to wonder what the results of these trials look like. Even if they spawn in great areas, unlike this, does it consistently prevent a 4k or does it only delay it?
Considering the high KRs of many consistent complainers about this issue, I don't think it actually effects much. I've never once felt like excessive pallets heavily contributed to either my killer losses or my survivor wins.
I've also never seen this clearly bugged spawn in a match.
-
It's more random in its usefulness. Distortion was a guarantee and and the token wasn't used until an aura perk activated. SP is only active for a short while during a specific event. And, much like Distortion, killers not running post-hook aura likely won't even notice it. It shows up in plenty of my killer matches and hasn't affected outcomes (and i run aura). I still have eyes whether people have scratch marks or not. I believe it also doesn't block things that notify you of survivor whereabouts without aura.
Anything that's not Exhaustion or second chance should be welcome right not. People complain about meta perks all the time but even a mid perk that does something else comes out and encourages another playstyle and it becomes a problem. Not talking about this one so much, but it's a consistent thing and I'd like to have a little variety in playstyle. Sprint Burst and Vigil are my concerns as killer, not this.

6.1.0 Distortion was pretty much active all game. It countered every Aura perk and add-on by just existing. I'm pretty sure it even recharged tokens while in chase even though the picture below says differently. It was also in the top 10 perks Survivors brought, I'm unsure about Self-Preservation though. They do need to release stats monthly.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QR89TSMJPTX8/screenshot-20260603-105316-300.png
If I where to nerf it I would add that Self -Preservation does not activate if you have less hook states than other Survivors.
Or make it affect all Survivors (similar to Open Handed) with the most hook states. To prevent tunneling.
If I where to nerf it I would add that Self -Preservation does not activate if you have less hook states than other Survivors.
They'll just get into a locker like they were doing without SP. This would also ruin the altruistic side of SP. I often see it run with unhook builds. People use the Elusive to get to the hook and fast heal with We'll Make It. If you take that away that makes the situation worse.
-
Nap Time:
Press the active ability button while crouching to enter the dying state. While in that state, all survivors gain a 10% repair speed bonus.
Do Not Perceive Me:
While within the killer's terror radius, press the active ability button to become a teddy bear or random piece of furniture, and gain Elusive. Effect last 60s or until canceled.
Sacrificial Lamb:
While within the killer's line of sight press the active ability button to drop dead. Completes one random generator.

I love Henry's iri chip. M1ing people during its use time is so funny. No one expects the big, slow floating man to be undectable and just turn a corner and whack them during red sky time.
I'm terrible at judging Plague's M2 arc so I use Black Incense and Prayer Tablet Fragment and just M1 with her. Teams sometimes figure it out and cleanse but I reinfect everything and we go again. With Thano it's a real pain to deal with.
Also a big fan of Dredge's Lavalier mic.

It's rare people give up in my matches unless they're already doomed. The outcome is the same. The ones that have people who throw from the beginning I personally either give someone hatch or let the rest of them go. Lots of people also play like that. So not all matches with throwers are killer wins.Maybe in yours but average mmr joe who plays ghoul? Do you think people still dont give up when they arent loosing they are just mad because sometimes I even get this so I highly doubt because you dont meet this in your games that it doesnt happen in someones else games.
It wouldn't be possible for them to exclude matches with abandons because that's basically every match. There'd be no data. This, so how much the data are accure this makes it mysterious because if they dont exclude abandons we cant be sure for 100% that its legit. Games without abandons could end up sometimes differently its small number compare to abandons when all are sluged or its last two or one and mori is in play but still a thing that can make difference like lets say in 5% who knows.
Are we really going to talk about data from 2022? This is a whole different game now. What we do know from the current official stats is that Ghoul was the only killer with both a high pickrate and a high kill rate. That is problematic.Yeah and you think all these nurses got way better? I dont think so, different in what only few perks got changed but its core its mostly same its not so different if we compared 2016/17/18/19/20 DBD that would be different game with og dead hard and none basekit features for survivors like antihook protection (perks were used for that but they just gave endurence not haste on top).
Nurse is weaker actualy then back in 2022 like 2023 patch 6.5.0
- Nerf: any attack following a Blink and before The Nurse succumbs to Fatigue is now considered a Special Attack and no longer activates any effects associated with Basic Attacks. (this is huge nerf because who knows from past knows how nurse was strong with exposed perks like one of weskers perks got super nerfed because of her and others did too, nurse with noed terror that many people forget but dam it was scarier than many oneshots from these days)
and blight isnt nowhere near the state he was back then weaker way weaker basekit and addons. Ghoul stats were picked but stats we get are cherry from top of the cake same with others so we dont see whole picture there canbe killers with very small kill rates maybe same or even smaller then in 2022. Merchant was problematic too not because she was op (before devs took her inside their room and butchered her into todays mess) she had top kill rate and why? Many survivors just gave up not dc just gave up and this in smaller portion (because merchant is played by few people) still happens today I believe many merchant mains would tell you that so you cant take stats as the law that must shape the game always devs did that in old times and we know how it looked like "nerf pig" or billys overdrive etc.
Do you think people still dont give up when they arent loosing they are just mad because sometimes I even get this so I highly doubt because you dont meet this in your games that it doesnt happen in someones else games
I mean, I'd never play Ghoul, but when I play against him, it's usually DCs, if anything. Mostly, people just play. Often, when people throw in a match, someone else then DCs. So there goes the stats.
so you cant take stats as the law
I don't. My comment was challenging some nonsense stats from Nightlight or something. I'm also contesting the validity of the official stats, but not that kill rates are lower than we think. How many people have you personally spoken to that play killer regularly and aren't super friendly and have numbers below 60? If I go off what I've seen in this forum, what I've seen from friends, and my own stats, killers are doing way more than fine as a whole.

Dc but giving up? Thats not always dc rather just survivor stops fighting for his survival and lets the killer finish him asap.
I highly doubt these are excluded from official stats because how would you even possibly exclude them in first place?
These make few % or ten % of kill rate I believe that especialy against unfavored characters which ghoul is now number 1 because merchant is mostly gone and only few of her mains and enjoyers actualy play her (whou would wanna play f-tier killer, worst killer right now dam even trapper can actualy do something like deffend basement and merchant cant do much).
Dc can be excluded but not if survivor gives up and another question rises up what about abandons are they acounting them too as dc or not? So many things are unclear there but I dont think its normal for killer that his kill rate increases when he gets actualy weaker maybe people jumped more from blight to ghoul because blight now actualy takes skill and is perfect and ghoul gets very simular power but is easier at base, weaker but easier.
Ghostface I bet is low or killers like this but depends on mmr.
This was last time we got whole picture at one mmr which they now show top 5 for high and average mmr
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/63OMK873W56V/image.png
you can clearly see that top 1 (or 2 by todays understanding or comp blights and his hug tech being thing in that year plus og addons like compound 33+ alchem ring being at their peek condition yet everyone was blind to it especialy of how powerfull they are) killer in the game being worst in killing survivors on average so we dont know much from these stats devs show now only just who is problematic to face and who doesnt suck that much probably and thats it.
It's rare people give up in my matches unless they're already doomed. The outcome is the same. The ones that have people who throw from the beginning I personally either give someone hatch or let the rest of them go. Lots of people also play like that. Big agree. You can't separate the whining from the genuine issues, especially when there's no way to compare this randomly given feedback dumped all over the internet with what is actually happening in these people's matches. I'd rather them mostly look at numbers unless an opinon is so overwhelming consistent that it's causing massive discontent.
So another hot take:
Feedback should be taken in in an official way, linked to your stats, so they can see if you're actually having issues or you're just perpetually unhappy even while winning.

The statistics dont tell you anything when bad survivors give up. Almost all the stats in this game are flawed because of survivors quitting early, artificially inflating kill rates. Most killers in this game arent even at 50%
Games with DCs are excluded from the official stats, and those matches are usually killer wins. If anything, stats are deflated by the DC matches being cut. And Ghoul is the DC king.
You keep making this claim about these unproveable low kill rates so back it up with your own stats. Are all your killers at 50% or lower?

That would make sense, but the problem is that if you look at some perks, you can already tell whether they will be problematic without needing to test them.
For example, Fast Track, Wide Open Throttle, and Cross-Examination are some of the newest problems. Anyone with a decent number of hours in the game could see that these perks would be problematic, yet we still need to test them just to confirm what many players already knew.
On the other side, look at Jason’s perks. They wanted to create a theme around the number 13, but because of that, they ended up making the mostly useless and forgettable perks that people will use for the adept achievement and then never touch again.
Maybe Silent Shadow will become useful with the new change they want to make, but then there is another issue: Blight and Nurse will probably abuse it. Then it will likely get nerfed and become useless again within a few months.
I do not want to sound like I am attacking anyone. I just want to understand how perks that seem obviously problematic from a mile away make it through the discussion meeting and into the game, while perks that are useless from the start, or have not received changes for literally years, never get improved.
Maybe Silent Shadow will become useful with the new change they want to make, but then there is another issue: Blight and Nurse will probably abuse it.
This is pretty much my point. I really don't think it's simple. Survivors are all the same. If something needs to be adjusted, it's pretty easy. But if there's a killer power/add-on/perk synergy issue that goes live, do you change the perk, the add-on, or the killer? It's more complex on that end. I'm pretty sure that's why diminishing returns happens, so they don't have to worry about accidental busted builds as much, like what happened when Clown's yellow bottles were overturned and everyone put Haste perks on him.
I also don't think these issues are as obvious as you might think. Even if people are being loud, not everyone agrees which perks are busted, and the numbers on the devs end may not reflect it either, even when there's uproar.
I think they're trying to make quirkier perks for survivors, as these new ones are rather odd, to try to compel them to play. You need a lot of people to want to play survivor for this game to function, and I know a lot of people who won't touch the role unless it's with friends or 2v8. They'll still play killer though. So the logical way to entice them is with wacky new stuff to try out.
You don't remotely sound like you're attacking anyone btw, especially by forum standards.
-
Would be cool. Maybe I'd use the feature again because I never really bother anymore. It feels useless. A notification would also give console players a way to communicate something on the scoreboard.
People will fight you on the BP part tho. We just had a talk about that and how killers won't get anything if they don't play nice.

I see the point you are trying to make, but perks can be shared between characters, and they do not always design a character’s perks to support that killer’s power. Look at Jason: none of his perks directly support or help his power.
I understand that they try to make perks as generic as possible so that many killers can use them. However, when they make a strong perk, or one that becomes problematic, they often nerf it very quickly and then never look at it again.
As for survivor perks, they usually fall into a few categories. Some exist to “fix” certain problems while also giving extra benefits. Some are clearly meant to pair with and support other perks in order to work better. Others are just gimmick perks that can be fun.
That is a big issue. Survivor perks can often work very well on their own and produce good results. If you combine them with other perks that support them, they can change the game dramatically.
On the other hand, killers need perks that either support their power or their playstyle. But because many killer perks have so many restrictions and limitations, the pool of useful options they can choose from becomes very small.
I understand that they try to make perks as generic as possible so that many killers can use them.
This is the issue. There are so many killers now, many of which are very strong, and they're probably worried about unexpected synergy that'll make the perk busted on certain killers. They already have this problem in reverse, where they release a new killer and older perks might be super cheese on them (recently, certain anti-chase perks on Krasue) so they are probably being very cautious. Even newer perks that are being used, like Turn Back the Clock, are pretty cautious and repetitive.
That being said, a lot of recent survivor perks are also crap. Out of the 9 new ST perks, maybe 2 are decent and see real use. TWD perks were also mostly bad. And even Five Moves Ahead is just Windows 2.0. The fact that so many perks look a lot like older perks shows that the ideas are kinda running out. Elusive being scrapped from basekit has given them a little bit of newness to work with on the survivor side too.
There are also more survivors released than killers lately, so the chances of something decent for survivor is statistically higher.

I made the post because of echo chamber people like you who refuse to acknowledge the power gap between killers and the fact that most games boiling down to, are you playing a strong killer? Did you get a good map? Did pallet density decide to play nice and not spawn 23 pallets.
And that 2k you’re so hung up on was completely outta my hands and basically only happened because the survivors decided to throw last second, and because I was got lucky with a close basement It very could’ve easily been a 4 out but RNG of all things prevented that. The worst way by far to skirt by in rng like that that doesn’t even feel good in the end.
Yet on survivor I regularly find my still enjoying games even if it ends in everyone dead, or just me dead and everyone else gets out. when it comes to killer there’s very very very few situations where getting 0-1 kills feels good at all unless you’re like an orbital huntress clip farmer or something, or a funny haha ghostface. Even getting 4k’s can sometimes suck as they can be hollow victories, like with skull merchant and survivors just refusing to play the game (btw anyone reading if you still dc against SM you’re beyond cringe get over yourself)
Lmao yesterday I got accused of not playing killer because I'm always going against what other killers want. Today I'm part of an echo chamber. The echo chamber is people parroting the same complaints over and over over, like this one.
Plenty of times I've said lower tiers need buffs. Not to the point where everyone is A tier or up, but buffs. But you've now changed the point of your original post, which was about people using DS aggressively, as though survivors should just be passive and if the perk triggers on it's own then that's how it should work.
Some people feel the opposite of how you feel. I'm not satisfied with a survivor match that I died in. Killer matches, I'm happy with hook states and high BP. The sliding scale of satisfaction varies by player.
Sadly I took the bait on this one, Congrats costurning you win the forum ego award.
I'll add this one to my collection of jabs, thanks. I'm not the one making posts about one bad match like the forum is my personal blog, nor am I using words like cringe or dense to speak to people. But you do you.

You are being quite disingenuous now. There is a big difference between a nurse or a ghoul or a blight being able to chase down that DSed survivor, and a clown throwing a yellow bottle. DS hurts low tier killers way more than the high tier ones. An the super high tier ones like nurse, blight and ghoul literally don't care that it exists.
Aren't you the one always telling people to bring this crap perk? How much does it hurt your KR?

What are you talking about?!?! I just agreed with you that wesker in his current state isn’t ok, how can one person be so dense?
And I don’t main wesker he doesn’t even my top 10, I wouldn’t even say I have a main killer as I mostly flex around but if you want my top 10 in play time it’s: sadako, pyramid head, vecna 1, trapper springtrap, skull merchant, houndmaster, unknown, artist, and finally vecna 2.
I’m sure the stat tracker isn’t completely accurate but it’s seems mostly in line, and if you’re curious wesker is at 15th and most of my playtime with him was earlier on, I don’t play Wesker outside of 2v8 really anymore.
Uh when did I ask or imply that Wesker was your main? You said the people playing him are bums then basically went on to defend them because he's their main like they have no choice in the matter. The "your" in this statement was general, not you specifically.

The fact you missed the whole point of the post entirely astounds me. As this post sprouted from a Trapper Nostromo game
OFC ds did nothing you’re playing Vecna 2!
A TOP TIER KILLER with ranged attacks that bypass walls!
And I stated from the beginning DS only blows so many chunks to play against because of the existence of low mobility M1 killers/Low tiers.
I don’t what’s sadder, that you thought this was a gotcha, or that you’re using lightborn on him; it probably only would’ve been topped by you playing nurse in the example.
Yeah, and a lot of killers could trash this perk. I could have sniped with Deathslinger, Huntress or Unknown. I could have caught up with Wesker or Ghoul. I could have tossed a yellow bottle at my feet as Clown, I could have teleported as Dredge. Cool thing about this game is that there's a huge list of characters. You choose the killer. You can't pick Trapper and then complain that you can't combat perks (the usage of which is often broadcasted) that other killers can decimate. If the game was designed around Trapper, survivor would be unplayable. Choose the killer, choose the experience.
What's crazy to me is you had one single bad game (that was still a 2k) and it requires a whole post about DS. I'd be posting 5+ times a day if I complained about every outplay or loss.

and I think they’re bums for that but they didn’t exactly choose the hand they dealt, if they main said killer why should they be obligated to play a different killer or different game entirely when they won’t be afforded the same courtesy.
At least when it comes to survivor they DO have the option to not use bugs/broken mechanics use in an exploitative way as many many survivor bugs come from easily replaceable-niche perks anyway, many survivors still ran the newly reworked fast track when it was clearly buns to play to against (I didn’t use it personally because I have a heart), or this latest version of 2v8 with the scout crouch exploit, or the once every 8 months when survivors use a flashlight/flashbang to glitch into lockers for immortality.
So it's understandable to use busted Wesker because he's your main, even though there are 40 other killers you could choose instead, but using Fast Track, which was working as intended, was somehow an act of cruelty? You don't see that as a double standard?

how have you gotten the idea in your head that killers are accepting of weskers state atm?
I’ve seen countless posts on this very website from killers mains agreeing with you on that front and saying it’s not ok.
In fact I hold the same opinion that weskers state is NOT OK and went on record calling bhvr out their blatant favoritism on Wesker. But yeah no, I and many others are so clearly ‘biased’ when it comes to wesker being broken…right.
Point me to anyone defending his current state and I’ll laugh at them with you
An awful lot of people are still playing Wesker so many clearly do approve of his state.
But the original comment I was responding to is they won't revisit things because it benefits survivors. So if we're talking about imaginary dev bias, Wesker is still at large. Not exactly beneficial to survivors to get phased through walls.
-
So you took the bait and got outplayed? That's the game. Read and react incorrectly and you don't win. I almost never trigger DS unless I decide to take the obvious bait ("aggressive playing") or the game is wrapping up. And when I do, it goes like this:
https://youtu.be/d6zfHj1FQOk https://youtu.be/QdYVCICH0w4So strong. So scary.

streetwise didn’t get killswitched for how long?
The devs straight up came and said it was a non-issue.It was actually so bad people were saying killswitch streetwise on overwatch posts XD
While legion is killswitched for the entirety of the blood moon event only for bhvr to announce, while he’s still killswitched, that he wouldn’t be returning to 2v8 and half of the roster likely will never come to 2v8.
yeah you’re right killers are just whiny babies who want everything on a silver platter.Wesker was killswitched and came back and has been grabbing people through walls and well past vaults for weeks now.
The problem is people are so biased they can't see that all this stuff is like this on both sides. They just ignore what their favorite side gets and only focus on what the other side gets, and forgets what that side loses.
I don't know why it's so hard for people to accept that killers weren't made with 2v8 in mind and that they might be too hard to adapt to be worth it for a goofy temp mode. There are a bunch of killers I'd love to play in 2v8 but it's not the devs hating killers, it's just not a worthwhile task.

Nah most killers even the strongest ones are sitting around 54% which means it averages out to 2 kills per match which is logged as a loss in mmr so there's that. I just wanna see bugs fixed and survivor power toned down and the number of pallets toned down 15 to 20 is a bit excessive you have to admit
And what are you sitting at? Cause that's not where I am, nor is anyone else I know. Nightlight is not an accurate source of information.
It's not a tragedy to lose MMR. If you lose a lot, you need to go back down to where you can handle things. That's the point of the system, not to use some invisible number you assume is high as a badge of honor.

To be fair you have to keep in mind, anti-slug and anti camp were heavily abused in the ptbs they were tested in. And didn’t help solve the slugging/camping problem when it came to solo Queue as much as it was supposed to.
Especially the buffed anti camp radius straight up breaking mult-floor and indoor maps like you could be on the second floor of rpd patrolling and the guy you hooked below you would get anti camp basically for free, plus swfs could hover just outside of the anti camp range leaving killers in a lose-lose scenario. Either you camp and feed the bar letting the guy get off hook Scott free whenever, or try and commit to the hovering teammate who likely is nearby to safe area they can easily hold W to, or leave the hook altogether to go pressure somewhere else while they reset for free.
and of course all it did was punish low tier killers who had to rely on slugging and proxy-ing for consistent wins@terumisan said:

anti tunnel slug and camp were busted to the point in the first ptb thr hub would actively lie to you and if a survivor died before 6 hooks it was an auto lose they were basically making 1v4 as busted and unplayable aa 2v8 fog vials made it so that you couldn't see let alone track and fast track was free permanent progress for all survivors (besides the hooked survivor) because the survivor hooked and it's still strong it's just not free passive permanent progress and they have to do sonething instead of nothing
Cool, but these were ideas that weren't just scrapped after a few days after a long period of promises to address these issues, but there's also no plans to try again. So you can't claim survivors always get the world and killers get nothing when it's clearly not the case.

Cross Examination is likely the most broken survivor perk they've released and BHVR has released some really broken survivor perks over the years. It basically allows survivors to break any chase they want unless they are facing a ranged killer or a killer who is undetectable.
Elusive as a status also does way too much imo and it would be better if it was split into individual statuses like 1 that blocks sounds of pain, 1 that blocks scratch marks, and 1 that blocks auras. I do not think survivors should have the ability to block killer instinct which Elusive also does.
And the fact the perk went to ptb in its current form is very telling about how well the devs understand their own game.
Elusive does not block Killer Instinct.

Its because they've been coddled by handholding mechanics and balance the game around the worst players. If they would just listen to their vet players, and balance the game around high mmr like every other game out there, the bad players would be forced to get better
Balance around high MMR and no one will stick around. Catering to your top 20% is not how you retain new players. It's not as simple as adding a tutorial either. Survivor is macro and info heavy. A lot of it is making the right call when, and know what's going on where. You can't teach that. It takes time to learn.

the point of pallet density was because survivors were complaining about deadzones which i guess at the time people were still doing run to yellow and pre drop it got added some were removed and then re-added since on the ptb some people were acting like there were massive gaps like on yamaoka so they just re added pallets and left it and won't revisit it since it benefits survivors
I don't know how delusional you have to be to say something Iike "they won't revisit it because it benefits survivors" after fog vials, fast track rework, and the nuclear annihilation of the anti-tunnel, slug, and camp.

Yea except thankfully what you say is in the minority as we can see from the constant remarks about the state of the game (I also just have a theory that you larp because honestly I consistently just see you saying the opposite of what every killer says, no matter what the topic is about).
Pallet density was an objectively bad change. You cannot just toss in more pallets and think that makes the game better for anyone.
Pallet perks aren't that good, if they were, they would've seen playtime before. So really the solution devolves into what it always does when killers gets screwed over by a bad change… "play the top killers". People don't want to do that, these changes just screw people who play the lesser killers because they don't actually feel the need to sweat constantly.
There is no justification for 3-4 pallets just being chained together and spawning within 10 meters of each other everywhere. There is none. It just dumbs down survivor gameplay, while making killer gameplay overly stressful and I say this as someone who plays both. I don't need to try in chases because there's just so many pallets to chain in to. And because of there being so many pallets, 50/50 loops aren't even a negative for survivors because 50/50 loops stop mattering if they directly chain into like 3 other pallets around the surrounding area. Which makes what is supposed to be a 50/50 loop you can leave the pallet at, instead a pallet you have to break because it chains into multiple others.
Acting, am I? How many killer matches do you play a month? Both roles whine all the time. I just don't cry endlessly while playing the power role, and I don't agree with other killers because I don't think there are major issues for the role as a whole. I think players are bad and want it easy, or they're good and want more. We have a bunch of killers in this forum with high KRs who do nothing but talk about how strong survivors are, despite winning basically all their matches.
The solution isn't to play stronger killers unless you don't want to improve. It's to get better at the ones you like. It's to work on map control. There isn't any killer in this game that doesn't 4k against me regularly because they have the hours and skill.
This video shows a killer that had time to take a break from winning to break pallets for a clickbaity clip. Really don't know how you can use that as an argument about how strong pallets are. If there are no excuses for easily outplayable pallets near each other, then there no excuses for maps with a bunch of useless rocks and debris and nothing useful. I don't see you complaining about those though. Maybe you like downs that are free but I don't care for them.

"Pallet density helps with tunneling" Might be top 1 most nonsensical things ever, not that what you're saying is nonsensical but if that's what their reasoning actually was, then that is nonsensical.
There's no correlation between the two, increasing pallets also makes multihooking worse because pallets are just a core thing you have to experience no matter which playstyle you choose. So it doesn't even make tunneling worse… it just makes everything worse.
The game feels woefully bad to play.
Pallet density came out after the anti-tunnel ptb was canceled, and it felt like a band-aid to survivor issues, much like the pity prize extra 5s of basekit BT. You can't throw off a tunnel without resources and the game was full of dead zones.
That being said, the majority of the roster can deal with pallets in some way, and the players who can't can bring perks if it's really that difficult. I don't even basic break more than a few necessary pallets in my killer matches unless I'm farming. Can't say I can relate to your struggles. The pallets aren't hurting me as killer.

I legit think my unpopular opinion might be too unpopular even for an unpopular opinion thread, but I never get to crash out about this, so here goes.
Trapper is the most unfun killer to play against in the game and I pray he never gets buffed so people don't play him more.
I cannot see the traps. I just can't. Unless it's Eyrie of Crows where it's broad daylight with no grass anywhere, I CANNOT SEE THEM. Maybe it's because I play on max settings, but I have a really nice PC that I saved up and paid a lot of money for, I'm not lowering my settings to make one killer more tolerable to play against.
"I'm a basic M1 killer unless you run into the loop I pre-trapped and now you're dead" is garbage gameplay. Putting a survivor in the basement and locking it down with a million traps is garbage gameplay.
Sorry not sorry, screw Trapper, god I hate him so much. I would rather lose 10 Ghoul games in a row than play one winning match versus Trapper.
I agree with this actually. I hate playing against Trapper. I'd rather play against almost anyone. On some maps the traps are impossible to see and you just get nabbed for existing. It's even more aggravating when it's the auto reset add-on. I can't stand that in 2026 dbd I have to scope out the location of the basement and avoid it.
-
There's a reason you almost never see anyone use this perk. It needs something. Considering you can farm an unhook and get permanent gen progress with reworked Fast Track, even crappy nerfed perks have surpassed Potential Energy. I'd love to use it because the animation is great, but I'm not sitting on a gen to potentially get zero progress because of one hit.

My matches have been equally sweaty no matter which I choose. Queues have been fine too.

I tunnel and slug because I want to win the game and it's hard to play without those strategies as the game is survivor sided (there is proof and facts). Especially when I play ghostface without those strategies it feels impossible to win on weak M1 killers. I personally don't understand the complaints about when you are tunneled, it's obvious that chasing is much more fun than doing gens, the only thing you are losing is blood points from gens but more fun and skill based experience.
It's not obvious, it's an opinon. Not everyone likes chase. I prefer the macro of survivor, and outsmarting the killer and their perks. I'm happiest when the killer doesn't even see once me until I'm walking out the gates. And considering how complained about tunneling is, I'd say many don't agree with you.
