Does this happen at the 15 second mark and lower?
Cause i've noticed that's new, i can't press it after 15 seconds.
It does happen then actually

Bond is great. You can see survivors being chased by the killer and go in for the distraction if you want. Plus you'll see who can heal you nearby.
Lithe is powerful with Quick and Quiet, too (instead of Dead Hard). You could be 30m away before the killer even realizes you vaulted a pallet or window.
-
I'm so tired of them switching back and forth like this tbh.
-
I always thought it would be good if WGLF show the auras of other survivors who are within 16m of a hooked survivor. That way you don't waste time

Or..
1. Entity Displeased
2. Entity Placated
3. Entity Intrigued
4. Entity Aroused

Nah, they should be
1. Lol get gud baby killer
2. Dece
3. P good
4. OP plz nerf

Don't care about my perk now that this is here.
Haha thanks. You inspired me
-
Definitely not worth carrying. I think a perk that spawned trap chests would be cool. They explode when opening and injure the survivor.
Boobytrap
Spawn 3 boobytrapped chests per trial. These chests explode when opened, injuring the survivor. If a generator is completed or a totem is cleansed within 4/6/8m of an upopened booby trapped chest it will immediately explode and injure any survivor within that range.
(Plunderer's Instinct can be buffed to show booby trapped chests with a red aura)

You have to make sure you’re
- in the locker before the killer hooks them.
- in there for the full 5 seconds
otherwise your aura will be shown
I'm pretty sure if you get into the locker after BBQ triggers but before the 4 seconds are up your aura will disappear. I've made it into the locker like a second or two after the hook and the killer has never come to me. I guess he could have been busy with other things but idk

I'd love that, personally.

Basically any first lobby i get into i get ping around 80-140ms. Pretty good job so far.
Are you being sarcastic or sincere? Cause that's good.
-
A lot of these are too powerful. Good concepts but they need a reduction in numbers. Devour Hope is too strong by 3 tokens not to spawn until 2, for instance. Open Handed stacks with others. If only two people carried it and all carried Kindred, you could see the killer for 48m around the hook. A SWF team of 4? 80m. That's insane.

the hatch shouldn't open for a lot of things.
Like everyone escaping through a door. Clearly everyone else was able to escape, that last person doesn't need the hatch.
Yeahh, uh. Sometimes killers have NOED and the gates are 50m apart within eyesight of each other. Or maybe they have Rancor. Maybe the survivor is injured.
There are plenty of good reasons the hatch should open and zero reasons why not.

idgaf about the survivor's points. I care about me getting a 4k or enough points to rank up
So thirsty for that 4k. Maybe if you didn't act like a single survivor getting away was the end of the world you'd be a little happier.
The implications of this go way beyond your need for validation.. sorry, 4 kills.

Yeah survivors should have to do a barrel roll into a ######### triple axel just to start working on a gen after it's kicked.

Killer can still wait for you to use it and hit you. It's not just when someone uses it in an open field, if they use it to get to a window or pallet you can still hit them during the drop/vault animation if you wait. Not to mention that you can't really be sure that you can use it at that exact time because if the killer catches up you are basically forced to use it right then.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/389101#Comment_389101
Again the killer can just wait for you to use it. Yes you can get away if you are in the position to use it in those moments, but if the killer catches up to you when you're not close enough to a pallet/window what are you gonna do? Even if it's at a pallet killer waits and swings through the pallet and still hits you because the I-frames don't protect you during the drop animation. It works ONCE unless you are in the perfect situation where the killer can't play around it, which is generally not in your control.
Balanced Landing opens NEW LOOPS. That is why you use it. Even when you are exhausted those loops are available to you. And there is only 1 map you don't want with BL and that's Shelter Woods. Every other map has places where it can be used very effectively. It turns Game from a killer sided map into a survivor sided map because you now have NEW LOOPS you can use on the killer. And these loops are the strongest in the game, if you do them right killer may never catch you. Plus the fact they don't require a window or pallet, they are semi-infinites. DH doesn't give you anything like that.
@TheLastGreatStar Learn to use the stairs ;)
No it doesn't work once. If you aren't going to make it to a pallet or window then you wouldn't make it for Lithe or a drop for BL, either. I run DH all the time and make pallets and windows I never would have if I didn't have it. If you are close enough it doesn't matter if the killer swings or not. At a certain distance they will be almost guaranteed to at least attempt a swing and DH could make the difference.

Really?
I though its survivors: do gens and cleanse totems
killers: hook survivors, prevent gen progress
What are the 4 objectives you are talking about @brokedownpalace ?
1. Stop
2. Drop
3. And
4. Roll

A survivor from a SWF complimented my trap placement as Trapper.

No. It is not equivalent.

That's cute but it's false. Survivors have 1 objective, killers have 4.
-
There are some things said around here that are nonsensical and yet so many people keep saying them. The idea that Dead Hard only "works once" is false.
If the killer is chasing you in an open field and you use DH, is he likely to fall for that again? Not really. But that's the worst use of the perk. All the killer gets is a missed attack cooldown of like 3 seconds, then he's on you again immediately in an open field. Only use DH like that in emergencies.
The best use of DH is to make it those extra few feet to a pallet, window or exit gate or over a trap. Whether or not the killer knows you have it doesn't matter if you are close enough to make it to that pallet but only if you use DH at the right time.
I've also been opening the exit, just about to finish, when a Nurse teleported over to me. I dodged her lunge, she went into fatigue, I opened the exit and then ran out. She tried to attack and I hit DH through the gate. I've made it to the exit more times than I can count with DH against killers.
It's also good against Nurse because of her attack miss fatigue and Huntress because if she's throwing at you from far away then that could mean you make it into a building or around a wall and now she's gotta come find you, extending the chase significantly.
-
Why do people continue to use hexes if they are consistently cleansed in the first minute or two? It literally makes zero sense yet I see killers carry hexes constantly.

Git gud.
Survivors have window vacuum so until that's removed I'd like to keep the hook vacuum.
Yeahh umm the survivor window vacuum is nullified by the fact that killers are favored by lag.
-
@AChaoticKiller "what people have to understand is that a killer perk is supposed to be equal to 4 survivor perks."
How do you quantify perks with entirely different effects as 4x more effective? That doesn't make sense.
-
@DocOctober said:
Some of you people are incredibly pitiful when listing Killer "crutches", quite honestly. Each Killer "crutch" has one or several counters/bypasses, that's not something you can necessarily say about those Survivor Perks, making them actual crutches.
Whether or not they have counters is irrelevant to them being crutches. Someone's favorite perks must have gotten called out.
-
Literally the only reason to use Unrelenting is because you're bad at hitting the survivor. I have never seen a good killer use it. 30% for a perk slot is a joke though. It should have an additional benefit or be reworked entirely.
Killer crutches: NOED, Ruin, moris, Blood Warden, Sloppy, Remember Me.
Survivor crutches: DS, insta heals, skeleton keys.
I'm sure some more I'm forgetting.
-
We're not supposed to but we often do.
-
Also a fun thing to do with that build is when you are working on a gen and you hear a killer coming, hide next to a vault and if you fast vault before they see you you can literally disappear while they're checking around the gen and kicking it.
-
My Disappearing Act build:
Lithe
Dance With Me
Quick and Quiet
And I switch the last perk up between Urban Evasion, Iron Will, Lightweight and now sometimes Poised. When you get the timing right with Poised it can be incredible.

@thrawn3054 It only takes a quick few seconds to cleanse the totem so that “extra time” is a very short window for you to pull through and try to redeem yourself if whenever the survivors were just too good or if you were just plain bad.
This is blatantly false. It takes like 16 seconds to cleanse a totem but you have to find them all first. If you're not swf the only way you know if they're all gone is if you go around and count and memorize the ones you broke verses the ones you're stumbling across that were broken by other survivors. I don't noed is okay where it is now but the claim that it takes "a few seconds" to cleanse is absurd.
-
You can already vomit over pallets. There's no need for this.

Your poll is literally meaningless. Without a larger sample size no knowledge can be gained from it.

If the killer is a nurse and she's nowhere to be seen she's obviously an insidious noed gate nurse which is easily countered by cleansing the totems before opening the gates. Not sure how that's supposed to be an exploit.
How would you know if it's a nurse before you see her? Could be Wraith or a Freddy or MM or Pig hiding well
-
@Blueberry said:
This perk doesn't need a buff. The only reason it looks weak and no one uses it is because of the broken end game hatch mechanic which renders the perk pointless. If they finally ever fix the hatch mechanic to actually be balanced this perk will finally see use.
Lol. Such a bad opinion. The perk is garbage. 12% of like 1.5 seconds is unnoticeable.
-
When I try to hit a survivor through a window I rarely seem to be able to do it unless they're in the vault animation still. When I'm the survivor? I get hit constantly even after I'm back in control of the character and moving away. The difference is I use a LAN cable and don't have ######### internet.

I feel like you just follow me around to try and ######### on any argument I make, and twist it. I see these perks. They are good perks. Yeah, this forum is such a big place that I need to "follow" you. Get over yourself. I click on whatever is on the front page and respond to recent comments.

Distortion is absolutely run quite a bit. So is Breakdown. Why? Because both are really damn good perks (and Distortion is actually broken just like Poised).
Why not admit that survivors have a lot of really damn good perks?
I literally said in my post that plenty of them are good. None of them are crazy to go without though. Just calling out an exaggerater

The only perk I don't see out of those is stake Out, Tenac, Autodidact. Which are arguably meh perks. So, not sure what your point is here again. I said good perks.
Actually you said perks that are "everywhere" and "you're crazy for not running it." Neither of which applies to any of those perks. Even Deliverance, the most popular survivor perk of the past few DLCs is not everywhere or crazy good.
