Oh, I don't know, it's a bonus thing like Trickster has, it's not his main power. Plus, it's a built-in slowdown forcing survivors off generators to get to and solve the box or suffer the consequences.

In my opinion pinhead is the same lvl as clown and we all know clown is not that strong

  • The killer need some buff honestly i still never had a chain hunt begin. Survivor are in complete control of his power and that sad.

  • @Mew said:

been playing him all day and ive noticed that sometimes when you land his power, the chains will just randomly all break instantly without the survivor taking them out.

is there an actual reason for it, or is it just a bug?

Yeah you probably run in them or the survivor break all the chain with the environnement

So having to make people play different survivors for diversity would be bad? How many multiplayer games have roles to play versus the enemy?

We have a healer,a genrusher, a sprinter, we need a totem cleaner etc. That is where the strategy would come in.

Tell me that wouldn't make survivor games more interesting at least.

A meta will form and you will only see the same survivor over and over again. Lets say in the meta you only have 1 of the survivor with a meta build and the other are all lvl 1 if someone take that survivor im sorry but you are ######### because you have no one else.

And the balancing issue around that will be a nightmare for the dev they already can balance the game on a regular basis or it take 3 month for a change. They are too lazy to do that im sorry

I was thinking more on an average sbmm.

I would think they would have the average knowledge of playing survivor and think we have 3 gens done and only 1 hook maybe totems can be cleansed.

At higher sbmm yeah probably not since there are less noed users stat wise.

Even then it survivor still wont cleanse totem.

I believe higher mmr will bring noed more often because survivor will do gen faster that mean they wont do totem and if they do totem in case of noed the perk buy you enough time to win maybe.

Wait how? I got 2 crashes and got 2 penalties.

I gave up dbd for today because I don't want to rack up that penalty.

To the OP: pinhead can be buffed for a bit, currently he is not even mid tier, kinda like a weaker clown.

Still learning but meh, honestly not impressed.

To the performance part, not that bad honestly, I still get 60 steady fps with a few stutters.

Be careful of playing pinhead because most likely you will get dc'ed.

    10/10 bhvr patch.

I dont know i just played normally and i never got a dc penalty i do know some player report they have a penalty but most of the time they are the only player to quit the match vs my experience is everyone quit the match at the same time

  • Because the killer should always help the survivor in the trial this is a good thing and maybe soon all killer will have their power helping the survivor

  • @latinfla4 said:

I would say limit it to one of each survivor for strategy and variety.

So that one claudette would have her ability stack for her med kit or any heal. Afterwards she could have a cooldown time where her next heal is slower during that time frame.

Same for your meg example she gets a cooldown after her extra sprint burst like ability.

Would make swf have to use more strategy. For solo play it would encourage people to work as a team.

Then you have another issue if me as a survivor i camt use my main because someone already pick her im ######### if i dont have another character with the perk i want my only option is to dodge and wait another 5 to 10 minute

  • @latinfla4 said:

More competent teammates means totems are cleansed right? No more excuses.

Nope more competant survivor mean faster gen and better looper but does not mean the survivor will do totem because for most of them its a waste of time.

Btw you have no garenti you will have better teamate maybe it was you who drag the team down and i say the same for a lot of player including myself.

Dude it’s the first day try harder and practice and you’ll find a gameplay style for pinhead. People said deathslinger and twins were weak. Now there the most annoying killers to go against cause they have great strengths.

Twin is good against solo survivor but overall she do ok. Deathslinger is just a nerf huntress the difference instead of having a 2 second windup he recharge after each shot.

Being annoying does not make a killer strong if that was the case trapper would be the best killer in the game a lot of people find that killer annoying.

  • I think the performence are fine the main issue is the game crash sometime but no one get a DC penalty at least i receive 0 penalty in 5 crash

I am also glad they made a chapter just for killer mains. Really convenient time to be a killer.

I saw some rumors that the next mid chapter will have a survivor so its exclusivly a killer chapter

  • Anyway bhvr was never fast with balance issue so you can expect the first high level nerf to see the day in 2026

  • We never know i was sure t bagging enter then unsportman conduct in the report categorie

...actually think they will find quick matches? It just boggles my mind...even seeing 4 toolboxes makes me go nah I will find another group to play against🤣

I'm just a console player who doesn't matter to the devs at all, so I'm just now going against him for the first time. But we have to constantly stop doing gens and interact with the box, or we can't do gens, is that right?

Do they devs have any idea how miserable that is for solo survivors? I know killers hate going against SWFs, so why do the devs keep doing things that drive away solo players like me? I'm at the point where I am done with this game if I don't find people to play with. It's just that miserable as a solo player where in the overwhelming majority of my games, all three teammates stop playing and wait for someone else to finish the last gen. And open the gate.

Now we are forced to interact with something that the killer teleports to, or we can't finish gens? Are you kidding me? Most of my solo queue teammates will Self Care six times a game against a Legion. You think people are going to willingly put themselves in the killer's path when they won't even do a gen?

Or am I just not understanding how Pinhead works, and please tell me I'm wrong. I hope I'm wrong.

You are wrong the survivor see the box at all time pinhead cant see it. The chain hunt begin when the chain in the HUD is complete but if you take the box early you can complete remove that part of his power. If you hold the box you will have some chain comming after you every 4 sec until you fix the box.

I may miss a lot of thing because i have a hard time explaining in english its not my first langage but pinhead is easy to beat. For now if i would put him in a tier list im putting him low C high D tier. One last thing i dont know the button for console but on pc when i face a pinhead and he chase me i hold M1 while i run like that when i get hit by his power im already breaking the chain

How you gonna be mad at me when you tried to tunnel me out the game last minute but I got out because of BT and DH?? Lol some killer players are wild man...Also got mad because I tried to cleanse their Lullaby and they kept coming to guard it with 1 or 2 gens left. Clearly it didn't help you so why even bother guarding it if you're having trouble catching me right now anyway 🤣?? With all that in mind I decided I don't like this huntress very much and teabagged at exit and they report me for teabagging. Love this community at least gives me some laughs every now and then.

T bagging at the exit gate is toxic bhvr ans is reportable but you need to prove it so unless you register your game you have no way to prove it so reporting player is worthless

Survivors within 20 meters have their auras shown At the start of the match a random hook will not be able to be sabotaged, after somebody is hooked that hook becomes unbreakable (can’t sabotage it) this perk has no cool down

That the thing they try to buff the perk but the perk was too strong and could compete with bbq so they nerf it instead so they did all that work for nothing. Unless they really want to sell more jigsaw dlc i dont think they are going to touch those perk again.

  • @UncleStabby said:

End game builds can be nasty, just make sure you get used to reacting quickly. The more people are left, the harder it'll be to get maximum value from your Noed/Blood Warden. I'd run a slow down perk and try to get at least one sacrifice before egc, even if you have to tunnel for it.

I just play like a normally do exept i run thrilling tremors, pop, blood warden and noed. Its just that i found that survivor hate to do totem so noed trigger every game for now so a 1 or 2k resolve in a 3 or 4k its a improvment

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2475757#Comment_2475757

Why do you think that? Being in the middle should give you the most variety IMO.

Not really because the nurse, blight and spirit when audio are fix will be at the top of mmr. The worst killer the game have to offer like trapper, legion and myers will be at the bottom of the ladder so if you are in the middle you wont see them often i pressume

  • @Pukenplag said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2476056#Comment_2476056

Someone has to fall for me to know there is NOED in play for sure. People knowing NOED exists as soon as the last gen pops would definetly ensure better plays from the survivors.

I agree but let take the same example but for the killer side. If the killer know the second you get unhook you have BT or when you go down if you have UB or DS. This will remove all risk the killer take when he down someone or someone get unhook.

I gave that exemple because i consider those perk to be a second chance so i think its comparable. All those perk have counterplay and i think they are healthy for the game. True i think those perk need some minor adjustement but overall the player need those perk because it add some risk in the choice you make.

  • @Pukenplag said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2476008#Comment_2476008

Definetly not. The only reason the Pig ever caught me was NOED. I managed to literally save my self in the middle of the corn field. At least make the exposed effect appear as soon as the last gen is done. This way survivors would play much safer and reduce NOED's fatality.

Dude imagine if the killer could see the survivor when they take effect the complaint survivor would have is insane. You already see the noed trigger when the killer hit a survivor you dont even need to pay attention, the game tell you immediatly.

I was the one to 360 her and I have a very wonky 360. And sorry, any remotely good killer won't get juked more than once by my ######### 360.

Yeah they can specially if they use a controller.

  • If you dont want to use it then dont. Just know you will efficency around the killer shack or every loop with a window.

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

    With killer it's even easier.

Just play on rotation. You have like 20+ different mmr ratings. You can play and win 20 matches and only have the gains of 1 match per killer.

You can, but not every killer is fun to play with. If you prefer one killer but sadly you hit high mmr you are ######### unless you go afk a couple of game

  • @ill_Boston_lli said:

Im not hating on this because I use it alot as killer but I do want to point out that using this combo literally takes away from the pressure aspect. These perks do most of the work for you and allow you not to have to pressure gens and what not. I think that this combo should not be a thing and killer should (including myself) get bett at creating map pressure without the use of perks that do most of the work for us. this is my honest opinion.

For ruin and undying to work you need to apply pressure if you leave survivor on gen ruin will do nothing. Tinkerer is the info perk that help appky pressure but whitoyt ruin ti kerer is not that good

Why are so many people complaining about SBMM "causing" miserable killer matches? Shouldn't it be a better experience for killers since they are matched with survivors with the same skill as them?

Sweaty killers play sweaty survivors, casual killers play casual survivors, new killers play new survivors. Isn't this what SBMM is?

That the thing lets say you main blight and you play to your best every game and now you are in the top 10%. But now you are tired to always play your best you want a relaxed game you wont be able to have that game with blight because you are in a high tier mmr. That why killer dont want high mmr and its understandable if you can see it this way.

Whenever it happens the worst has been a duo with 2 solos. But I've seen it happen when all 4 people are solos.

Some killers are always going to look for an excuse why they lost.

True but the game provide a lot of excuse for killer its a 4v1 and each survivor are able to 1v1 the killer. The majority of the map are survivor side so it does not help. My personal opinion is for a killer to win a match he need to outskill the survivor by a lot but for survivor they just need to have comm if they are less skill and they can beat almost any killer

  • @Crowman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2474273#Comment_2474273

Which already happens now. I've seen plenty of killers cry about swf in end game chat when I play solo survivor and we all escaped.

Its not because you are solo that the other are solo too. A 3 man is really a competant team to face

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2473352#Comment_2473352

This goes the other way around as well.

But, this will be the common excuse for Killers who are not that good at the game. "Damn, the tournament squads did not find a game 5 times in a row, that is why I lost."

In general, it is quite funny how many people think that they will be in super high MMR-Ratings. And those are the same who claim that 3 Gens get done before they get one Hook on a constant basis.

Most players will have a fine experience with MMR.

My last experience was far from enjoyable. Most of my game survivor used map offering, key or BNP sometime all of this togheter. I dont consider myself to be a top killer i belive i may be above average but not in the top 20%. So in my opinion i should not have to face those thing on a regular basis specially when i main nemesis he is far from being a top tier killer. The reason i face strong team in my opinion is probably because i play after midnight so during the down time. The worst part is most of my game i got completly destroy i adapt i start using noed but even that gave me just 1 or 2 kill my hook count was still low no more then 5 hook.

The only good thing about the sbmm in my opinion will be solo survivor.

But all that is my experience i played more or less 40 killer game during the last test and only 20 game as a survivor max. And with the wall of text i just said you can see wich role i think will have a better time

  • In the patch note they did if the best survivor dont have enough killer they will get paired with lesser skill killer

  • @Gamedozer7 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2473213#Comment_2473213

Only if you are a tournament level killer will you play tournament level survivors. If it works correctly you should be matched with people that are equally skilled as you

All that depend the hour you play. They said in the article you can be an average killer and play with high tier survivor if they play during the slow time.

  • @ad19970 said:

Haven't watched the video yet, but shouldn't the new MMR allow you to play chill if you want to once it has a good skill rating for you?

Playing chill against sweaty survivors will probably lose you matches, but at that point your skill rating should decrease until you get to a skill rating that allows you to play fairly chill, because it should match you with other players that have a similar skill level as you have when playing non-sweaty.

That the thing with mmr lets say you are a really good blight like top 10% but you want to play some chill game so you change your perk the issue is your still in a sweaty mmr so you will get destroy in your chill game.

  • @interesting_sandwich said:

Hi, this is my first post here, and I've been playing for almost 2 years now. I'm getting really tired of running the same perks over and over and I want to try something new! Any suggestions?

Quick and quiet, deception, head on and flashbang if you dont have fun with that i dont know what to tell you

  • @KweenPlease said:

It's the only objective and priority unless you are running a hex.

The objective of the game is " do gens as much and as fast as you can before killer chases you off because you've got limited chances / hooks. "

With it being the ONLY thing to do, are survivors just supposed to stand or walk around for 3 minutes after every gen? Like what the heck do you want? Make it make sense.

Anyway SBMM should put you with people who you should be able to handle who are on your level once everyone is leveled out where they should be. Yet everyone wants to complain about something that is literally helping game health.

That mean by the same logic tunneling, slugging and camping dont exist because what that the killer job to kill the survivor

  • @GrimoireWeiss said:

Same could be said about killers. I can't really bother keep playing survivor when Ruin+Undying Nurses and Blights find it skillful to 4 man slug and let to bleed out a random solo team.

Lastly, overall even if serious or not it's just not an interesting post at all. Could of talked about his love for Wraith and go into detail but instead wants to comment on pretty much making the game unfun and I'm guessing miserable for the survivors.

At least the killer can force them out. The survivors just have to sit there and wait.

Just give them an option to bleed out faster if everyone's been on the ground long enough.

I agree 100% with you if you are the last guy and the killer let you bleed out you should have the ability to skip it in a way like in many game you have the option to let yourself die but in that game i would only give it to the last survivor alive because of hatch

  • @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2471520#Comment_2471520

It's a safeguard to keep you from just being left on the ground until you disconnect.

    A very long safeguard.

I would call intentionally wasting everyone's time for as long as it can possibly let you after you've won and the opposing team can no longer actually play the game griefing.

The survivor could have flip flop or just unbreakable and he wait for the killer to leave before he use it. This could be a thing so the dev dont want to remove an option the survivor have to escape the killer.

Ofc i think doing that kind of play as a killer is the same as the survivor t bagging at the exit gate both are a D move.

But i dont think this can be reported because the killer play the game by the rule

  • @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:

Not holding the game hostage, unfortunately.

Look on youtube for some gameplay its better if you see it from yourself. I like truetalent video with that perk you can see how much fun he have with it. Losing a killer with that perk or just knowing you can ear him opening a locker feel great

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2471199#Comment_2471199

If the killer wouldn´t see the items at all, this problem wouldn´t exist ;)

The killer can kill, he can take them out of the game. Should be enough advantage. He can tunnel, he can camp, he can slug. He decides how the game will turn out to be. If it´s gonna be sweaty or chill. He is like a referee. Only in the toptier of the game, the survivors are really able to use the map for their own advantage or have you ever seen a rank 20 looping properly around the map (without beeing a smurf) ?

Imo it´s harder to master Survivor than KIller, because there are too many things Survivor have to have an eye on. Killer just kills, they have some strats for it (like Camping / Tunneling) and they need to master the ability. They need somewhat of understanding, what the survivor will do, but they don´t need it in lower ranks.

Survivors on the other hand need to know everything what´s going on on the map. If not, they are screwed. They will fail skillchecks, they will go down in chases really quick and they will die very fast. Killers can just M1 everything, if they don´t master the killer´s ability. I´ve done it myself, i am a terrible Blight but still i got the adept by just using M1 and the ability for mapcontrol.

Anyway, i don´t want to discuss anymore, because i am alone with my opinion. It´s fine, i just don´t understand it.

In my experience the survivor decide if they want a chill game or not they are not on a timer but the killer is.

You feel alone in your opinion because everyone try to tell you why the killer can see the item and you dont like the answer so you trow it in the garbage.

If you only want people to have the same opinion as you you should have said so and the other person would not have wasted their time trying to explain you why its like that. Specially when the only thing they agree with you is why the killer can see the survivor name

  • The perk is good specially if you can lose the LoS after using it. The killer will have no way to find you again unless he spot a crow flying. Be careful that perk is not brain dead like the meta perk survivor use you need good timing and to be a good survivor overall to have good use out of it.

  • @KrosseKrabbePizza said:

Why can killers see everything from the Survivors, but they can´t see anything from him?

Its literally unfair, that a killer can say: "ok 4 items, let me use franklin´s real quick"

Why can they check the profiles of the survivors, check if they are SWF or how many hours they have?

Would be way better, if they couldn´t see items and names - so they can´t edit their perkbuild. The other choice would be, that survivors can see, which killer they face - but this would be completely unfair.

Also just delete the names from the survivor or the possibility to check their profiles, so there would be no more dodging of SWF-Lobbies (childish behaviour btw) or Streamsniping.

Why is this still a thing? There is literally no reason why killer´s should have more information than survivor.

    Your thoughts?

You may think the killer have an unfair qdvantage but you could just last sec swich like most of the survivor who bring a key do. If you last second swich you just ######### the killer over so this is in your advantage not the killer.

Dont forget the game is heavily in the survivor favor for the only reason its a 4v1 and every survivor have the ability to 1v1 the killer and the majority of the map are in the survivor favor.

The ability to see the name of the survivor i believe is there in case you have multiple survivor with the same cosmetics but i may be wrong about that.

  • I cant wait to play survivor non stop because playing killer will be a nightmare with all the key and map offering

  • I agree the map is really small specially when i play killer i play around the exit gate that lever is sexy

  • That the thing a killer who is fun but you get destroy every match is not fun to play at least for me so i will take the S tier killer anytime

  • @playhard said:

What i think the goals of SBMM is the way of BHVR to attract more player to be play as killer. Since you know percentage of killer on level green, and yellow so a little, so many player doesnt brave enough to play as killer. With SBMM their skill matchmaking will be pair of with the same skill survivor.

You know too many player only play as survivor, the percentage of both parties not balance and this is ruin the game

Nope on the opposite some people really enjoy killer other play killer because solo queue suck but with sbmm solo is way better so i think sbmm will push some killer to play survivor more.

Another thing if you play when less people play and you are just a bit better then the average player and around this time and a lot of survivor are better then you but the game dont have enough killer for them you will play against them this is not a good thing for you and may potentielly turn you away from killer.

The only good thing about sbmm is solo queue survivor. This is my experience and the general thing people say on the forum.

1 … 9 10 11 12
