Gens are literally fine where they're at... They literally nerfed tool boxes, prove thy self, made gens take about 10 to 15 seconds longer etc. If you can't put pressure on them then you're a bad killer. Simple as that. All the Survivors have to do is do gens. ######### else do you expect them to do?? Any slower a lot of people would quit playing the game. It's already boring as hell sitting on gens...
Gen are not fine specially in the early game and that is the problem. If killer want to put pressure early they need to have corrupt intervention only because survivor spawn on gen and it take 30 to 40 second to walk there depend which map you got. Unless you can apply pressure the second you spawn whitout any perk i would love to ear your solution.

Against bad survivors you can usually go for all 12 hooks and extend the game out without worry.
The main issue is when multiple people d/c at the start or if you play a killer like Plague or Leatherface whom the pip system hates.
Bad survivor DC the second you down them so you cant 12 hook

Yeah, but you started a thread about Moris. So why are Keys a topic? Like I said - whataboutism.
Besides that, Moris are way stronger and way more common.
Mori are not that commun overall i have seen more key then mori but at the the same time you have 4x time more chance to see a key and dont forget survivor can find key in chest.
Key and mori dont have the same power lvl if survivor hide and do gen killer cant mori them because they wont get hook worst case scenario the 3 gen themself they send a survivor to the killer to be the sacrificial lamb and they just hatch escape ruinning the killer last strat

Depends on how tou use it and how long it's up.
Tbh when i play survivor and ruin is up i stopped trying to find it because it a waste of time the killer cant chase 2 people at the same time so if one stay on the gen while the other one is looping the killer ruin is useless.

Hex's are mean't to be high risk and high reward. If you want more consistent games use pop and corrupt instead 😁
Exept ruin reward is not that high if we compare to pgtw

Nah you're forced to use corrupt because you have yet to learn how to take survivors off of gens
Please teach how to apply pressure the first 30 second at the start of the match

The current Ruin is not even bad lol. Back before the Ruin change, I kept getting matches where Bubbas literally camped Ruin, but didn't kill or hurt anyone. And, of course, having to constantly hit great skill checks was the biggest horror of everyone's lives.
I believe Corrupt Intervention is fine, but PGTW should get a rework, like a 120 second cooldown or something. Imagine demolishing a generator that was worked on hard only because you managed to hook 2 survivors under 40/50/60 seconds. Pro survivor tip to those who hate PGTW: use Repressed Alliance. Underrated godlike perk.
The dev cant nerf pgtw if they do you can expect the survivor queue to sky rocket.

I have it on pretty much all my characters and builds, to the point where I think it's becoming kind of a crutch for me. But it's the best perk in the game imo. Still, for those of you who don't use it, why and what would you use instead ( depending on your build obviously. )
I dont need to use it the spund are still bug so i already have iron will as a passive most of my game

For me its corrupt, trilling tremors, pgtw and surge like that all my perk can hurt the gen

Before I start, I just want to say that I'm fine with how Exhaustion functions currently. For those of you who are newer to the game, a long time ago, Exhaustion could recover while you're running. Because of this, it allowed the perk combo Spring Burst + Vigil to be the meta that almost everyone ran because of how good it was. It basically gave you a Sprint Burst every 32 seconds.
Because of how powerful survivor Exhaustion perks were, some add-ons had to compensate for this. The only two killers with Exhaustion add-ons at the time were Clown and Huntress. The Huntress has her Venomous Concoction, which causes Exhaustion for 90 seconds if a Survivor gets hit by a hatchet, and the Clown has his Solvent Jug, which causes Exhaustion for 30 seconds if a survivor runs into the gas.
At the time, these add-ons were fine. The Huntress's hatchets require precision, so she should get rewarded if she does hit a survivor. The add-on basically denied Dead Hard, but survivors could still pull a Lithe, Balanced Landing, or Sprint Burst before they got hit. And the Clown's gas is a lot easier to land, but it could potentially deny almost every Exhaustion perk except Sprint Burst, if the survivors don't avoid the gas. But the add-ons weren't overbearing. In 30 seconds, you could have you Exhaustion perk up again against a Clown, 25 if you were running Vigil. And the Huntress's requirement being to land a hatchet hit seems more than fair considering how hard they are to hit sometimes.
However, in 2.1.0, they changed Exhaustion so that you can't recover from it while you're running, but add-ons from Clown and Huntress weren't changed along with the Exhaustion nerf. 90 seconds now seems a bit excessive to put on a survivor, and 30 seconds of Exhaustion from something as easy to land as his gas is a lot. I personally think that these numbers should be reduced significantly to keep up with the current mechanics of Exhaustion.
For example, look at the Demogorgon's add-on "Lifeguard Whistle" . It causes Exhaustion for 5 seconds if someone touches one of the Demo's portals. During a chase, survivors probably won't run into a portal unless the Demo places them in common looping spots, but even then, Demo only has 6 portals it can place. The only feasible way to get some use out of that add-on, is if you sneak up on survivors while they're destroying a portal. Even then, all a survivor has to do to recover from the Exhaustion is just pallet stun the killer and then walk away while they break it.
Even though Demo's Exhaustion add-on is harder to get use out of than the Clown's Exhaustion add-on, its effect is significantly less than the Clown's add-on with 5 seconds versus 30 seconds, and it has a higher rarity, being a very rare add-on while the Clown's is an uncommon one.
Personally, I think the devs need to come back and rework the Exhaustion add-ons for Huntress and Clown mostly. The effect is ridiculously long and was created to combat a mechanic that got heavily nerfed. It would also be nice to see a buff for the Demo's Exhaustion add-on, although that may be asking for too much.
You cant use that logic with bhvr for tge only reason they dont have that kind of logic the most recent example i can give you is the enduring nerf. They nerf enduring only because DS was a 3 second stun so they buff DS and nerf enduring instead of just buffing DS

While Killers have it better than Survivors when it comes to Perks (more Perk usage overall for different Killers since they dont play the same as Survivors do), yes, there are some Perks which are used in every Build. This is, because also on Killers Side, a lot of Perks are just garbage. Why would you ever want to give up something like Corrupt Intervention over Cruel Limits? Just as an example.
Even tho, I kinda see it problematic if every Build (regardless of the Killer in play) starts with Corrupt, PGTW, BBQ and maybe adds Sloppy Butcher to it. 3 Slowdown Perks and massive BPs. Yay, fun and unique, I guess. And 100% a Build which fits the Killers unique Power. /s
But, I am pretty sure that at least Pop Goes the Weasel will get a Nerf in the future. The Devs are continuing to make the game easier for Killers, and while PGTW is not a completely effortless Slowdown like Ruin was (new Ruin now requires effort), in the end of the day it is a Slowdown for just playing the game. You gain pressure by hooking people and even gain 25% Gen Regression on top.
So I guess, somewhat after they introduced their Start Phase-Change they talked about in the 4th anniversary, they will also take a look at some Killers or Perks.
Regarding Corrupt Intervention, I guess it would only get a Nerf if the Start Phase-Change would make it too powerful. But I cannot really see that and IMO Corrupt Intervention is an important Perk since it helps out weaker Killers (and especially Setup Killers) a lot.
I dont think the dev can nerf pgtw at least not now and not before they introduce the new early game mecanic they talk about. And even then im not sure this will help survivor will find a new way to abuse this just like the 99% gate they found with the egc

Nice bait mate

It's really not worth going through the bother of hooking survivors. Too much time wasted walking to hooks, possibly having to deal with sabo. I miss the BBQ points, but if you don't really need BP, then it doesn't matter.
I did that for 10 game in a row i only slug i never hook any survivor i lost a lot of pip but having to see the hate i receive in the chat was worth it

How would you feel about map offerings being removed?
Personally i am getting sick of (mainly console) survivors sending me to Ormond and Haddonfield, and would rather leave maps to random chance.
I got Ormond 3 times in a row and Haddonfield twice after just to rub salt in the wound, all offerings!
There is a reason survivors love these maps, and with the Glacial speed of balance and, the fact that a building called "the house of pain" by the community hasn't been evaluated and changed i can't see these maps being fixed any time soon.
I start closing the app when survivor bring ormond or haddonfield map offering if i bring addon if i dont have any addon im just going in the corner look at the wall and go afk

So me and my friends were SWFing And we ended up getting a pyramid head on this match, unfortunately the killer did not get a hook until almost the end of the match. Once the gens pop he chases the guy that got unhooked from earlier in the game and he unfortunately became tormented and cages him instead of hooking him. The killer ran right to the area of our caged teammate and we all were trying to save him but the killer stands there 4 feet away (which I feel like is still to close for the cage to not move) with his power ready to instantly kill him if we were to save him. There’s nothing we could of done as a team to get him out safely because borrowed time does not proc off cages or any unhooking perk for that matter. Unfortunately we rescued him from the cage because the exit gate was right next to us and wanted to make a play so we could escape as a team but the killer still downs him because of it. Our teammate was very upset as anyone would be and leaves the match and the killer thought it was funny to dance on his body and shake his head. Here’s a clip of what happened and if you don’t want to watch it that’s fine because I explained how the scene went but my question is why? Why do killers play like this? What makes you entitled for a kill knowing you lost? This is why survivors are toxic and bm and do other things to upset killers.
~Rant over
Its not because gen are done and the gate are open that you have won the game. Survivor need to stop thinking because gen are done the game is over and they have won.
The killer was trying to get a kill it does not matter how he do it specially at this point in the game survivor need to stop thinking killer need to play a certain way for the game to be fun.
Your friend was in the wrong for dcing and at this point the killer know he wont catch any of you so he dance on the dc body because its the only thing that left to do just like the majority of the survivor t bag at the exit gate or on the hatch.
That was the best strat that killer could use to get a kill at this time in the game if your friend had dead hard he could have escape easy

There are 2 types of games : Luck-based and skill-based (of course mostly ever game has both but one is more heavy then the other). In luck-based games you sometimes say "Well, I was unlucky, that's why I lost." Hearthstone, for instance but in skill-based games you lose because you are bad. Git gud etc. So, what happens when you combine both ? If you ever played TF2 and encountered "random crits", you would know.
When I play against Spirit and I win in a chase, I never say "Yay ! I was the better player !", it's always "welp, I was lucky". Since Spirit can stand at a pallet and wait until the end of time, you never know if she is phasing or not. You can guess if she is phasing. So for the sake of the scenario, let's say she is not. If you guess that she DID and you slow vault the pallet, you get hit. If you didn't, congratulations ! You won with luck ! This is not fun people.
I heard the argument that "Spirit and Nurse are the only killers that can counter a tournament team !" I won against a tournament team as Clown with 2 reload addons. Now, they are too powerful, I agree about that but that doesn't mean that a killer can be busted AF just so it can counter a team. Spirit AND those teams should be nerfed.
I also heard the argument "She is only good at 1v1s !" No she is not ! She is especially good at 1v1s but she has a lot of mobility too. With tracking perks, she is counterable, yes, but with luck ! If you are not lucky, you die.
For the record, I don't think Nurse is an OK killer. Just like Spirit, if she is in the right hands there is little to no counterplay. Her power is incredibly strong but at least she requires an ungodly amount of skill to play. If she didn't, she would be "More powerful and stronger Spirit".
So, what could be done ? Add a phasing animation so that she stays still but you know that she is phasing. This would open up mindgames where you can actually do something. Oh, by the way, Stridor is way too powerful on her. It's not like "STBFL and Demo's shred" since that is combo, this is busted AF. Do something about the perk or about the killer in that.
TL;DR : Spirit is lottery, you win based on luck. That is stupid.
you do know every start of the game the killer need to guess which direction to go
-
i lot of thing are bug for the killer and they dont get adress at least for the survivor most of the time the bug is fix for the next patch unless its a meta perk then its fix whitin the week

I've been in this situation before as killer. It's annoying as heck, but sticking with it for 2 HOURS?! Daaaaaaaang.
I'm just curious, not trying to pass judgements or anything, but how did you not find them for that long? They need to keep moving or they'll start attracting crows, so just patrolling the map and checking in unusual places (edges of the map and basement, for example), will net you a catch of scaredy survivors sooner rather than later.
Tbh its really hard to find the survivor if they refuse to do any objectif you need to be lucky unless you have doctor or whisper you will never find them dont forget killer have a 32 terror radius
-
@Anghroth said:
Since almost everyone plays for bloodpoints, my solution would be:
if the killers stays within x meters of the hook and is not in a chase, he loses 10.000 bp every 10 seconds. Make it so it hurts those bastards.
Lets say survivor hide around the hook and you know it you dont want to give a free save best case you want to trade but the survivor take their time the killer just lost 10 000 bp and right now the killer have no reason to continue the game so they DC good job by adding a huge penality you just increase the amount of DC

Now I'm not complaining but it would be helpful to at least learn some tips and tricks while I'm here. I would like some help on some of the killers like clown, and others with perks and use of power. Some help on looping would be nice as well, and how to loop the tiles. Again if you could help out that would be really appreciated.
Know which loop you can chase the survivor

i was expecting a real tier list im kinda dissapointed with that kind of response i was hoping the dev could have an idea about their own game

Now I see killer mains who say survivor is easy and yet can't themselves. If you can't handle a chase as survivor but make bold claims your argument is invalid.

This is a very crappy thing to do. You’re holding them hostage. They simply want to get into a new game because they’re sick to death of whatever is happening in the current game.
The game is not held hostage the slug is dying and i continue to run after the other survivor so i can kill all of them and if the slug is the last one and i still refuse to hook him the game is still progressing.
If you still think this is holding the game hostage then every time a survivor t bag at the exit gate or on the hatch then the are holding the game hostage too and this happen more often at least for me
-
@joshuashep22 said:
considering you are going after a recently unhooked survivor why do you get so mad after getting flexed on with the decisive head on combo?
I dont see how the killer can get mad with that instead of having a 5 second head start on the killer the survivor got a 3 second head start that counter productive for the survivor. Now if this play is use by 2 survivor i can see why the killer could be piss but this is a great play from the survivor and need a lot of timing

Ds is fine as long as you are changing targets quickly (I'd reccomend bbq and chili for this) you can easily avoid ds. I usually don't get hit with it at all. It's just when you get hit ya kinda get #########
The problem with DS for the majority of the killer is when the exit gate are 99% or open.
The other problem is when the killer hook someone else and he start a chase again on a survivor you hook before and maybe when you down him he can still have DS because he got unhook 59 second ago but you think its been over a minute
-
I slug the survivor who gave up and look at the end game chat just to see him rage after me
-
Sound are an issue for over a year now and right now in some map gen dont make any sound even when they are nearly done. This wont get fix anytime soon because its only unfavorable for killer and its 20% of the game so for the dev 80% of the player are not touch so its a good thing

You are right, but the unhooked survivor shouldnt be punished for dumbass teammates. Thats why we should be able to prevent being unhooked so that doesn't happen.
In my opinion when should expect that kind of risk when you choose to be a team and i know the frustration you can have with your teamate i play enough league of legends
-
So according to the game designer killer have a total of 3 gen to work with no wonder survivor are complaining about camping, tunneling and slugging

Slugging is fun today i ruin my rank just so i could slug during all my game i never hook someone i slug qll of them it was so fun the survivor said they had the worst time in their life

Hows it not valid? People shouldnt have to run a stale meta to have fun in a game.
Because if a survivor is dumb enough to unhook in front of the killer that mean he missplay and the killer should not get punish for that but right now the way the game is if a survivor get unhook in front of the killer the killer get punish for applying pressure on the survivor

Plz dont nerf DS i swich from killer to survivor in the last week and i pass from rank 20 to rank 3 with DS, UB, DH and kindred i need to make the killer life miserable a bit more before they nerf it. Because i love being invisible for a minute after each hook i can do whatever i want without getting punish and from the dev point of view that fair
