Not a big fan of play with your food except for a super specific tombstone build. Save the best for last is such a fantastic snowball perk for killers like freddy, wraith and pig. Dying light is insane with a mori.
when i first saw stbfl i didnt see it said succesful attack cooldown instead of missed like unrelenting when i realized what is was i felt like an idiot immediately used it and i love how fast you can attack
Cant play freddy without it imo. Actially made my freddy viable at rank 1 albeit with some survivours utterly crushing me. Remeber me, blood warden, noed and a perk of your chosing are fun perks for end game builds. Very unreliable and easy to count er but its nice to get a beautiful blood warden survivour scare moment.
yeah freddy's individual perks are tailored for him, I wonder if doc could use them though. Remember me could also be good for wraith and pig since they are good for tunneling 1 survivor.

Rancor and remember me are the best ones since they have more objective counter play in them.

Reason I'm asking is because I want to get my p2jake out of this area but everytime I play I'm always the first dead because I'm tunnled- Don't just start a gen unless you have a team mate with you, do a quick scout and know what you're up against, do a totem or chest first if they are nearby.
- Run stealth perks like Iron Will and Urban Evasion, perks like Bond and Empathy can help you keep an eye on team mates and the killer and try not to wear flashy cosmetics if you keep getting found.
- Know the layout of the map, where pallets are, where you can utilize a decent loop, if you're inexperienced Windows of Opportunity is a great perk for map awareness, also keep away from the basement if possible.
- Keep playing: the only way to really rank is just to grind games.
- Understanding killer weaknesses and strengths: this takes experience and learning the best way to loop them.

Hag is pretty good problem is that she is a defensive killer, you pretty much put traps around things you want to defend like totems, hooked survivors, generators. In many regards she is a camping killer, you do need detection perks like whispers and bbq to be effective with her.and why is that a problem?
sometimes it's not fun to just keep putting traps around totems and gens hoping they spring them. She's entirely reliant on survivors to make mistakes and to be altruistic or totem hungry. Hag is like my 2nd most played killer but I have the least fun with her since each match is I get a trap on my ruin, down a survivor, trap survivor, then just watch them fall like dominos, or they bust ruin quick, gen rush, I might get 1 survivor tunnel killed, then I get a 1-2k from noed and these games last less than 3 mins.

@ad19970 @akbays35 its the hitboxes and the Peer to Peer connection. Search on google what it means if you dont know.Look it's always been p2p but I played this game for over a year and it hasn't been this bad since the past couple of patches so the devs clearly broke something in the game and have just frankly ignored it despite the fact that it affects game play. 2 patches back, dead hard was having the same issue since hit detection overidden any effect it had, so they extended the buffer by .5 second as a lag buffer. This is a development fault of animations and player interactions that is being swept under the rug and just considered killer buffs.
If this was a fighting game or a shooter this would be considered unacceptable but since it's an asymmetrical game they seem to allow for graphical 'glitches' to be encouraged for one side. I don't mind buffing killers, but just make the damn animations sync with the actual hits so I can understand what happened. It's bad when even killer mains question how they got the hit they did.

Hey hey, So I recently hit red ranks (rank 1 and 2) as killer and I'm having quite a bit of trouble. ruin gets destroyed 2 seconds into the game, going through loops I can't really do anything about etc. The only time I am able to score a four-man is if the survivors are just plain brain-dead. I believe this is because I use mediocre killers like The Pig and The Doctor whose powers doesn't directly help in the chase, proving quite the challenge to catch competent survivors. And I don't really feel like playing S-Tier killers. Any tips for a scrub like me to improve my gameplay? If ruin doesn't work out, I would just swap it with NOED and aim for lategame since survivors will rush gens anyway. I honestly feel like Pig is worse than Wraith, she has a gimmick and I really am not surprised more people don't pick obsession perks like remember me with her and go full endgame.
-
I have questions, how are you stabilizing at 1 pip rank 5 if you are pipping each round.
-
They are playing less survivor because the devs have just repeatedly overbalanced the killer role and not with just straight up buffs that many killers needed but by just nerfing tools that survivors use to survive. Slow vaults, wonky pallet animations, less pallets, crouch sticking bugs, flashlight save bugs, healing nerf and killers are still complaining about that .5 second invulnerably window on unhooking survivors? I would consider most survivors to be casual players and many aren't going to play a game that forces them to be immersed tryhards or swf which is annoying that the devs are forcing this on us for solo survivor play. They will pick up other games, maybe come back on an event and balance patch, and possibly leave when another game comes out. Even the Devs know this when they tell them to play another game for a few weeks.
TLDR: Stop with the wide brushstrokes of nerfs and just do some detailed buffs on weaker killers and perks.
The other thing too is that rank is really messed up due to the event, there are killers that are way too boosted and survivors seem to be all pooled in purple and greens due to unintended deranking.

Hate:
1. Being camped tunneled and no gens are being done.
2. Survivors in lockers.
3. Finding brown medkits in chests.
4. Slow vaults, and hit through pallets, walls, objects, and players.
5. Silent Hillbilly with 0 terror radiusLove:
1. Hilarious glitches
2. Good Team Mates and fair playing Killers.
3. Successfully saving a team mate from the basement.
4. Carrying the game.
5. Multiple people in trapper traps that is always funny to me. -

So just had a game where after two other people die, the other remaining survivor tries bodyblocking me at every opportunity, following me around slamming pallets and jumping in lockers trying to get me killed. As much as killers pretend online they punish this, they really don't.
The killer - a pig (not surprising they're mostly toxic as hell) - sees all the bodyblocking and attempts at attentuon and still tries slugging for the 4k. After a long game he hooks the other guy before he bleeds out, then stands on the hatch so I can't enter it. Stood there for a good 5 minutes until I lured him away and managed to get in.
You got survivors trying to get you killed. You got killers blocking the hatch. The reason I'm making this discussion is because while I wish this was a rare occurance it's sadly not. This kind of situation is becoming all too common. This is hands down the worst community I've ever seen in any game. Behaviour seems content to do nothing. Guess I was just meant to disconnect? Lose points, pips and items through no fault of my own?
- Devs can't do anything about a community, they can make changes to the game to make it buggier for one side over the other.
- The nice thing about dbd is that if you have a bad game, you can typically jump right into another one fairly quickly. It's not like LoL where you have 30-60 minutes blown for a match.

it is exactly that, 2 survivors will just hide waiting for the other to die, no gens being done, no totems, they will legit just hide in lockers and whatever shrubbery they can find and move slightly before crows spawn, but they can't hide if my power makes their model blink slightly.

When I play killer I find running in a circle disorienting, but not as a survivor main. I honestly think that the red stain needs to stop going through walls and objects (under objects too, I see that all the time in the game) to help killers mindgame since it is way easy to predict their movements and prolong a chase.

Dont blame the killer for your mistakes, And these 4 seconds are laughable, you know that very wellnot really, many players forgo self care because it takes so long now and rank one survivors just get adrenaline so they get a free instaheal and many are grabbing WGM just to compensate for healing nerfs. That's also the point I'm trying to get across is that both team mates and killers are to blame for increased tunneling and solo survivors need some form of defense from tunneling, like the devs have been buffing weird stuff involved with hooks like invulnerability frames and instant exhaustion recovery and chaser emblem stuff instead of just giving an anti camping/tunneling perk.

I had a few issues:
1. Survivor skins were pretty lame, no one wants a glowing Claudette and a non bald dwight skin. They could've given David and Ace a Victorian skin and that would've been fantastic.
2. Hag didn't get a skin when I feel like this would've been a good theme for her.
3. Event was so blatantly killer sided and it made survivors even more toxic than I thought possible. It felt like I was just doing pustules and unhooking teammates for 3 days straight and when I was done I felt cheated on bp since killers were the only one who could activate nectar gathering post vial collection. -

I've kind of wondered if it would work better like Remember Me where it just tacks on 2 seconds for healing and 8 seconds extra for gens and stacks 4 times, but healing to full health reduces each charge.

A couple months ago, I proposed a hatch solution that would also remedy this problem. The short version is that the killer auto-closes the hatch when finding it and gets to see the remaining survivors aura for a while in exchange. A new hatch spawns a little while after that. Both the hatch stand off and the last survivor hideout problem are solved.
that just gives the killer an auto win imo... the whole point of the hatch is to give survivors a chance to survive not give the killers an easy 4th kill.

And I know he was not doing anything because no gens were touched, no totems done, no chests, etc.can we plz come up with a solution to this? I almost disconnected because I was so bored looking all over the map for him.
I really think they should make Left Behind an innate perk just to give survivors and incentive to do something, it would benefit killers too since they could narrow down where they are hiding.

And not only generator repair. Healing, self-healing, sabotage, totems, all of that produce sounds, although not ultra loud, a good killer can spot a survivor because of these. Technician, while being a sweet perk, lacks of use, and this buff would make it a nice alternative in high rank when every detail matters.I think they should just add stealth mechanics to these other options, like botany knowledge can reduce noises for healing, small game reduces noises for totem breaking, and sabotage etc.

Yeah. Leave it up to survivor mains to come up with a perk more OP than DS. BT is a very, very strong perk already. OP's idea is a huge buff. Your guys' ideas of balanced is delusional.
I do think it should have a limit maybe a shorter bleedout timer like 10 seconds capped, but I think there needs to be some kind of balance for solo survivors to slugging and tunneling because it is rampant and relatively unchecked and is the most effective strategy for killers and Survivors just unhook for the points, they can't effectively heal or defend a wounded player. I've been surrounded by team mates trying to block for me and heal and still got slugged through their hitboxes and seen the same as a team member trying to save someone tunneled.

Queue time that magicaly fixed themself once the strike ended despit the fact there wasn't any update pushedAnd even without that survivor have been complaining the first two year about the fact that getting a 4 man swf lobby took too long
Never noticed it tbh but I played when Doc was released so that was 3 months after bill, but I have noticed the killer time has drastically increased in lobbys in the past few months. I do recall borrowed time being kind of broken since killers really couldn't do anything about survivors being unhooked, but I would prefer that with some better balance changes to what is now either hookfarming and tunneling or just hook simulator. From what I've seen the playerbase overall has increased (most of that is from F13 becoming dead and a surge of new content), I really think what's doing it is the increase in killer players and not so much the survivor player base decreasing.

You guys ruined the game with the healing changes. Every game I play the killer tunnels the unhooked person because it is guaranteed easy target even with well make it level 3 they will still be injured. Half the games I play in the guy who gets hooked first is tunneled than rehooked than doesn't struggle so he dies. Making it a 3vs1 before 5 minutes pass. This is not fun at all. I know you guys are trying to balance swf but you buffed camping/tunneling and are slowly destroying this game.
they cant be tunneled if you don't unhook them and just do gens... objectives over altruism especially if you see the killer just camping a location.
I've tried that. Never works. Because someone else goes in for the save, often just 5 seconds after the hook.
You see Survivor 2 get hooked. 5 seconds later Survivor 3's status change from healthy to injured, then survivor 2 goes from hooked to injured, then survivor 3 goes from injured to dying, then survivor 2 gors from injured to dying.
So what happens is one guy gets hooked, other guy goes for immediate save but gets spotted and injured, manages to unhook during cooldown, but then gets down, and killer chases unhooked guy and downs them shortly after.
There's nothing you can do because you can't influence other players actions. I can not stress how often the example above happens.
If I try to stay on the gens the above happens. Then the third guy goes for the save, gets spotted and downed too.
If I go for the rescue and see the killer lurking around the hook I'll wait for them to leave for a safe save, but then you see a Nea come sprinting along in plain sight for the hook and rushes the save with the killer right there.
Alternatively you go for the save and see a Meg running around the hook being chased but not having the intelligence to try and lure the killer AWAY from the hook rather than circling around it.
Sometimes it's so hard playing solo.
idk I just keep doing gens then try to find the hatch, if I see a killer camp or anywhere near the hook I don't save unless I have borrowed time and even then that just buys the tunneled survivor like a few more seconds, that or just do it for bp.

What do you think about the ability for killers to unhook a survivor into being carried again? It would reset the hook phase they are in when originally hooked previously, though.
I.e. if it was the first hook, and you unhooked them yourself, it would stay first hook for the next hooking. Their struggle phase would be refreshed.
Naturally this is to prevent someone unlocking and rehooking 3 times to sacrifice faster.they couldn't do that, it would make devour hope and huntress lullaby op since they could just hook the same survivor a bunch of times or keep tracking people with bbq.
What if the hooking the survivor after the killer unhooked didn't impact perks due to a cool down and were limited to about 1 or 2 consecutive killer unhooks?
And keeping track of people with BBQ wouldn't work well, I'd say. You hook someone, you see other survivors for 4 seconds. That means 4 seconds of carrying a struggling survivor around and being limited to your basic attack. You'd be slowed because of carrying, and from the struggling.
Worst it would realistically do is give the killer the bonus BP stacks.idk that would cause more problems for what I would see as just memeing and holding the game hostage, the devs would have to program too many dynamic changes to the hook and for what end? Why would you want to keep unhooking and hooking the same survivor for no progress than to just waste time?

Break 1 totem, free 1 random generator of the hex. Break 5, and 5 of the generators are free from the hex. This might mean more totems on the map, of course. Got to leave room for NOED, and such.

Apparently the survivor pustules in the event are a way for them to tell the impact of adding a new objective to slow the game down alon wih the slight healing nerf designed to slow the survivors down a bit more.Anything that has changed in the past few month from pallets, vaulting mechanic, making the survivor take more time to do something, aura and one hit down perks are all designed to try and help killers get hooks faster to compensate for how fast survivors sit on gens.
Its a hard one to balance as you have those that do totems and those who dont, side objectives change the speed quite a lot, they also dont want to have survivors downed easier just to be camped and probably why its taking longer, while its a valid strategy its not fun and thats the name of the game.
Well if they introduced the flowers with the intent to gather any data regarding how secondary objectives could work out, then they failed miserably by not tieing them into the main objective.
The healing times are completely irrelevant in a genrush game. Aura and one hit perks have been part of the game already during the depip squad experiment.
Well regarding camping, they already started punishing it with the latest patch
They may keep the pustules or a form of them as a cosmetic grinding gimmick, that way survivors have to pick between winning or swag and this might weed out good and bad survivors better to help balance the game.

I honestly feel that every Survivor has that one amazing perk and the other two are just meh. For me with Adam, it's Deliverance being amazing and Distraction and Autodidact being meh. Same with Kate's Dance With Me being pretty useful, whereas Boil Over and Windows are just meh. They have their uses, but compared to other perks I won't pick them over more useful ones like DS or Dark Sense.Windows is actually her best perk imo especially if you can't keep track of where your team mates are wasting pallets it also counters doc's madness add on since you detect it further than his hallucination, also you can stash items by the windows and see their auras too or just find them easier if you're dealing with franklins. I'd say Nea, Meg, Claudette, and Min all have strong and mostly meta perks.
My issue is that Autodidact actually starts with negative values and makes the skillchecks harder due to the color scheme. -

Why did the devs design this perk to be so bad? I can't think of a single reason why I'd pick it over any other healing/altruism perk. The idea behind the perk is it's supposed to get better over time, with 5 tokens meant to be an almost instant heal, but it's entirely dependent on RNG for skill checks. The healing time increase slightly increased the overall chances of a skill check showing up.
I've been skeptic about Autodidact from the beginning, and yeah, I'd prefer using other healing perks, like We'll Make It. The concept is good, but the execution (RNG) was a bit lacking.
You can manipulate it with Spine Chill, but it's still bad, the main issue I have with it is the darn red colored skill checks, they are really hard to see and having to get 3 skillchecks before it has a positive outcome. In a normal match you don't have time to get that much healing off before someone dies or worse yet, you're being the one on the hook or attacked.

Get better informed about what teleportation is, and then you'll see why this is ridiculous.
this is a video game, all the other killers get stunned by pallets when their model goes through a pallet thrown animation (barely) one of which exists in a dream world the other goes through a phase shift where she can be pallet stunned as well, the nurse breaks the rules of the game by being the only killer that doesn't get stunned when her character model moves through a pallet thrown animation. I'm not asking for a specific nerf I'm just saying that there is a clear game inconsistency between nurse and all the other killers. Hag literally teleport but she can still get pallet stunned when her character model goes through the pallet swing animation.

PS: Devour Hope, made endgame, and without a hooking mechanic IS NOED.
