Yes, "problematic this problematic that". Imagine unironically saying the killer is being "punished" because of a trash 40 seconds cooldown perk that makes them dash forward and they can still get hit at the beginning of the animation and after it ends since killer's lunge attack has a long range.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2100233#Comment_2100233
You can drop the chase if that Dead Hard made it impossible for you to kill that survivor. How did you even get into a situation in which a dead hard makes you waste lot of time? People use it to get to window faster or be able to drop a pallet.
Dead hard is just trash. It's exhausted on the ground. It can be completly ruined by a bit of lag or weird hitboxes. And you're only able to use it while wounded which makes it completly useless against killers like Leatherface, Myers, Ghostface, etc. The design of the perk is fine, nobody is being punished because of a buggy dash foward.
If dead hard is trash, then why do most survivor players run the perk?

You think DH for distance is bad because you believe the survivor would of played the same without it.
IMO, Sprint burst is worse. Complain about iframes? Sprint burst is like one big iframe window. Gen in the open? No problem, just Sprint burst away to the nearest jungle gym.
At least you get into a chase with DH users. A lot of SB players will jet off at the slightest hint of a heartbeat. Really annoying with large maps.
SB is painfully strong on the larger maps, but I think it is less worse than DH. The reason being that SB is not solely used just for running away from the killer unless the survivor is still new. SB can be used to run to generators, hooked survivors, or travel across the map faster. It is actually a pretty useful thing when you are slacking on gens. So if a survivor is using the perk effectively, they will most likely never use it in a chase more than once or maybe twice unless they are trying to.

dead hard is a counterplay against killer camping the exit gate. Why are killer mains always bitching about survivors perks?
Because unlike killer perks, survivor perks can be stacked on four survivors, used multiple times by one person, and reward survivors for playing badly (for the most part).
Also, I am pretty sure dead hard is used for much better things than just a killer camping one of two exit gates.

You know you can bait them into wasting it or just miss the hit and then hit them again?
You know that doesn't work when they use it for distance right?

16. With the map changes it seems there's been endless complaints on both sides. killers say breakable walls and stealth. While survivors say totem spawns and deadzones. And the next map.in line is Coldwind Farm. Do you believe the map changes have favored one side more? And what do you expect or hope for the Coldwind change?
The map changes have not benefited either side actually. It is important to remember that the map changes are all about the graphics, not balance. They are definitely still survivor sided if anything though, the randomness can sometimes spawn some very nasty tiles on any map. For the coldwind change, I just expect better optimization. The graphics are cool and all, but what is the point if you sacrifice most of the players' framerates?

@Yords do you ever feel that Kindred negatively influences your teammate's decision making?
I love when my teammates run Kindred, but every time I run kindred I regret it. It feels as though my teammates play gen-chicken, and are each holding out at the last possible moment to come unhook me--often leaving me to 2nd hook.
Or alternatively (and quite frequently), Kindred invites a teammate to sprint over to me, catching the killers attention in the process, leading to a stand-off. Moments later a 2nd teammate will leave their gen beacuse they can see whats happening, and the situation devolves into a half-assed semi-coordinated hook bomb that often leads to a 3-man slug.
The perk is amazing on paper, but in execution it always seems to fail me. I only wish I was running it the rare game I watch 2 teammates sit on gens a mile away, despite the third teammate entering the injured state--indicating they are being chased.
I don't think so, usually when teammates run over to you like that, it happens regardless of kindred. I feel that survivors just in general don't really know that they should be sneaking in for a safe save. The situation you are talking about is also a bit uncommon, so I think that kindred can only benefit your teammates' decision making.

In all seriousness, the better option would be to disable survivors from switching characters or items in a lobby or changing at 30 seconds in from a match starting.

Up above question about DS and tunneling added
15. Recently the long time meta Decisive Strike was changed. It was celebrated by most the time of it being abused was gone. But many have said because of this tunneling has became a issue. And others are proposing a second DS change. And has brought to light many say the issue of tunneling. Do you believe tunneling is a legitimate but fair strategy? And how should the devs go about this? Buffing other anti-tunnel perks? Make DS happen twice? Another idea of a built in game anti tunnel?
Tunneling is definitely a fair strategy for killers, same as camping. As for what the devs should do, here's what I have to say:
I honestly believe that strategies such as tunneling, camping, and slugging can never truly be fixed without redesigning how the game works in a massive way. However, I do believe that the devs can rework the game to encourage other playstyles that are more fun, for example if they changed something (I really don't know what specifically) to make 12 hooking survivors a viable strategy, then you would probably only see those strategies used by people who want to meme or just make people upset. Something like that would alleviate the three.
I disagree with making more anti-tunnel perks, that is just another band-aid fix for an issue with this game. It would be best not to make the mistake the devs did when they originally implemented DS and BT. I think the best way to fix this issue is to do what I said above, encourage other playstyles that are more fun for everyone.

Let's move on to more complex questions first one will be a mix with simple.
14. What's your gaming platform? And how has your experience with that platform shown which platform seems to be the main attention and care of the devs?
I play on PC. My experience with it has been good, and I think that the devs take care of the PC platform much better than any other one such as console. I say this because they still haven't fixed Blight's turning while swinging in a lethal rush, it would be an easy fix and I don't understand how they messed it up. Even then, I don't think that the devs take care of any platform as good as they should. I mean, optimization in this game is horrible especially on the graphically reworked maps.

Nope. You are putting a solid into a liquid, but this specific solid cannot be soaked or absorb anything. Depending on the temperature, it can actually disintegrate it.

12. Least favorite Map/Realm?
13. What keeps you playing DBD?
My least favorite map or realm is haddonfield. It is a literal hell for killers who aren't nurse or spirit.
The fun of it, this game is a drug and I play for the satisfaction of a good game where I perform really well. The bad things don't really stop me from playing it somehow.

Very few enjoy Spirit
9. Favorite map/realm?
10. Favorite Chapter?
11. What's your dream chapter?
My favorite map would have to be coal tower as both killer and survivor. It is usually a pretty balanced map that is nice and small.
My favorite chapter was the cursed legacy chapter. It brought us the Oni and had several other good changes like the nerf to BL. It was probably the only chapter we got that actually gave us the content we pay for lol.
My dream chapter would be one where it is not a new killer or survivor, but rather new mechanics and changes for the overall health of the game. People say that it would not benefit BHVR because they would get little money from it, but I disagree. If Dead by daylight became even more balanced, then people would come back to it and even attract more newer players.
We want good quality content, but unfortunately the only good content we have received for several months (since blights release) are the colorblind mode, blight fixed POV, and Wraith changes. Everyone is getting a little antsy because they are bored.
Everyone is pretty bored of this game right now, still putting up with the same things since the beginning such as map design, bhvr's clear lack of communication, and balance (killers, perks, and maps). We prefer quality over quantity, which is not something we have been getting for a long time now. It is frustrating to know that bhvr could easily start pushing out content, but they are too scared to do so and would rather add jiggle physics to certain individuals, or fix the "lazy tech" glitch for survivors instead of fixing important ones (survivors making no sound, and sound just being very inconsistent and weird).

5. Favorite survivor to play with and against?
6. Least favorite survivor to play with and against?
7. Favorite killer to play against?
8. Least favorite killer to play against?
My favorite survivor to play with is any survivor who is decent enough while being chased, but more over their decision making. Their overall efficiency is what I love to see, but don't see often unfortunately. That is why I like writing posts encouraging people to use kindred, or tell them about underrated perks or tips for solo queue, so they can coordinate plays.
My favorite survivor to play against is any survivor who is good at a chase and is silly to an extent. What I mean by "silly to an extent" is that they are silly for only a short moment (5-10 seconds). For example, if I am playing killer and I know for sure a survivor is in a locker because I saw them get in it, I walk up in front of the locker and just look around for a second. Look to the left, then right, and then slowly look towards the locker and slowly inch towards it. Usually the survivor gets out and then just looks up at me, begging for mercy. What I don't like is how the game is just completely turned friendly (most of the time) since it is very boring.
My favorite killer to play against? Oni for sure, I love playing him and against him. His power is very much about reads and very quick reactions constantly when he is in blood fury. It is also just awesome seeing a bloodthirsty samurai ogre running around, just very cool to look at.
My least favorite killer to play against would be Spirit. I used to hate deathslinger more, but then I eventually just stopped caring. I hate playing against spirit because she is just very unfun to play against and any good spirit will dominate the survivor team quite easily.

Last guy also mentioned Jacksepticeye
3. Which side do you main?
4. Of that side which character do you main?
I don't main either side, I play both very equally.
When playing survivor, I main Claudette. I main her because she is just invisible sometimes, it is hilarious to crouch in a corner and not have the killer find you. I sometimes play Kate though since she along with my Feng are the only other characters I have unlocked cosmetics for. Although I only play Feng for dailys and every once in a while I play Kate for her cosmetic (some sort of sweater with a backpack) and... "realistic properties". I play any survivor that I need to complete a daily for, otherwise I just play Claudette.
When playing killer, I don't really think I main any of them either, I like to play all killers. Although I will say that I have not been playing as much Billy as I would like to. I would love to play more Billy, but I have a really hard time trying to get the simple chainsaw hits up close. If there are killers I play more often than others, that would only include Oni, Pyramid head, and lately Blight. They are just really fun and beefy killers that you can't exactly bully so easily. I switch off of these killers every now and then with Plague, Huntress, and any other killer really.
-
I would love to see your gameplay Sluzzy.

I am honestly a little unsure how I discovered this game. I remember my earliest memories of it was watching markiplier and jackspeciteye play it together. Then I had a friend of mine tell me that I should get it. I am also a little embarrassed to say that Ochido (I don't watch him anymore) helped me get into this game as well along with other content creators such as Monto, one mr scott Jund, and especially Noob3. I started to play it in early 2017 and I have been hooked ever since.
I didn't come up with the name myself, it has just always been my silly little nickname. Since I first started my gaming life at the very young age of 3 (I think) or 4, that has always been my name. I have never changed that name on steam, and have only ever chosen other names when playing online flash games such as Bonk.io.

Agreed, I have mentioned this before.
A proper SBM or MMR will probably be very good for DBD. It will be a rough start since things come slowly, but it would definitely be worth it. I believe that this game can be very balanced, maybe not perfect balance, but very good balance nonetheless. It would encourage BHVR to start redesigning the game somewhat (killer reworks, killer buffs, perk changes, MAP REWORKS, and so on).

Right, and the solo survivor buffs will go through as a result. You guys get 1 month of the game maybe (not even garunteed) being killer sided and then you get your buffs. MEanwhile going on 4 years of a very survivor sided game at rank 1
Could you rephrase this? I can't understand what you are trying to say. It seems like you are saying that the game will probably be killer sided for a month after solo queue is buffed and then killers will be buffed which makes little to no sense.

I will point to your supreme lack of evidence and anecdotal comparisons
You are calling someone else out for not providing evidence but you said that "every good killer gets cancelled in the PTB" without providing evidence (I am also going to assume that you are trying to say that they are nerfed in the PTB). I don't remember Spirit being nerfed in her PTB, I don't remember freddy being nerfed in his, and I don't remember ANY actually.
-
@Sluzzy said:
Either B: Watch Netflix or C: Focus on altruism points since the objective is impossible.
Another killer sided feature. It must have been embarrassing to killers when survivors didn't want to stay in an unwinnable match.
You saying this makes me feel that the only times you get kills are when survivors kill themselves on hook.
-
@TheDuhJ said:

NOOOOOO. Thats so stupid. Buffing survivors, then killer. How about buff killers THEN you can buff survivors. Never gonna happen, cuz every good killer buff gets cancelled in PTB.
Well if you buff the killers first, solo survivors are going to have an even harder time. We all know how slow bhvr is when it comes to nice buffs to killers, so if all the killers were on high B to even A tier then survivors would have to really try every game and as a solo survivor with little communication you are going to struggle most games. Besides, killers are still viable at any rank against even decent survivors as a low tier killer. Solo survivors have pretty much nothing going for them. Also I don't remember a single good killer being completely destroyed in the PTB.
-

You say that "just to play with your friends" line, but your friends make the game 2x harder for a killer to pip.
Ranks don't really matter btw and yes, I did use that line. Why? Because this game has a huge part of the playerbase that play survivor exclusively with their friends. So many people love playing with their friends in this game because obviously it is very fun. Making them wait about 20 minutes for a game that will last around half of that is just bad, and would drive people away from the game. The game is already in a very stale state right now due to bad content patches and lack of content. Like we all have been saying, we need to buff solo queue up to SWF or close to it, and then we can start with buffing killers and everything else.

Fair enough. And you are right, they were indeed very situational.
Okay, I just thought of something. I have another question, if you don't mind. Do you think Lightborn should affect the Lightburn mechanic for Wraith and Nurse?
Eh, I guess it could, but bhvr would have to code that in (we all know how fast they are at bringing us updates) for a very small situational thing. So honestly, no.
-

Tis the price you pay for effectively 3 additonal free perks per survivor for you whole team
That's ridiculous. You shouldn't have to wait a really long time (after an already long queue time) just because you want to play with your friends.
-

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2095776#Comment_2095776
I wouldn't nerf a thing right now. If anything at all, I would just add an icon to survivors who queued together in the lobby. for the sake of other survivors and killers. Just so people know what is going on.
SWF groups would be in lobbies for hours
-
@GeneralV said:
Oh, that is interesting!
I like your ideas. But if I may ask, have you considered bringing back some of his "Lightburn resistance" add-ons? They were situational, but they could give him an advantage on certain scenarios.
No I have not. I remember those addons, and I remember that they were definitely not great. They were terrible addons because they had a meh effect that was very very situational. They were also around when flashlights were a little too strong, but they are fine now.
-
Like we said, SWF cannot be nerfed, so solo queue HAS to be nerfed. THEN we can start buffing killers, and by "we" I mean BHVR.

Wraith still needs more buffs and things for him which is why I still made this even after his mms increase while cloaked made base kit.
