Thank you very much.
35. Probably gonna wrap this one up unless you have something else with everything happening but thank you Yords for accepting this.
I don't have anything else and I could go for some more questions, but you can end the interview if you would like, I had my fun already. I'm sure other people are eagerly waiting for their turn.

I mena DS it's not a second chance però anymore, deliverance have so many ######### condition, UB it's situational very good but situational, BT it's literally just to make sure the survivor hooked don't die, dead hard it's the only true second chance perk now
Well DS can still act as a second chance perk in say endgame. You are unhooked, the killer tunnels you when you try to run to the exit gate and then the killer gets hit with DS. Deliverance is a bit tricky to activate, but it is still a second chance perk. Unbreakable is hard to activate but it still gives survivors a second chance. Dead hard is definitely a second chance perk though.

Nope, but that is pretty similar. In fact, whenever I experienced that bug once or twice I was playing with a cheater, so I think that one might mean that you are playing with one.

34. Just been shown Resident Evil is coming what are your expectations and are you excited? And give a summary please I don't know enough about Resident Evil.
My expectations are high since I am going to assume they sacrificed the quality of "All-kill" for RE. They also did very well with "Silent Hill" and for a title as big as RE they will probably do another good job. I honestly don't know what to expect. I wish I could tell you a lot about the game but I honestly don't know too much about the story myself. In the games though, you play as really cool characters and fight zombies and other giant mutated people enhanced by a virus and you sometimes get crazy weapons to use. You should play the remakes of the game or look up on youtube to explain the story because I myself don't know too much about the lore, all I know is that you fight crazy monsters with crazy weapons sometimes in a zombie outbreak.

I feel like this is a good idea. 200% may be too much buff. Maybe a 25%-50% increase is fair though. But the real kicker is survivors having to take 3 seconds if they want to tap a gen. That's the real issue with kicking, its too easy for them to tap it right after, even mid-chase.
200% seems just right to me, it gives killers the ability to pressure survivors away or off of generators much better in a way that is not totally unfair. A 25 - 50% increase isn't going to cut it, base regression is terrible.

I've seen some good tricksters since the buff 🤷. He's not the worst killer in game. And that's ok. Hes very oppressive at loops with short walls.
Idk how much his buff changed him, but I assume it is not a whole lot. The trickster is still very weak and in need of changes.

I think that they will actually try with licensed chapters, I mean look at silent hill.

Alright, full blown tinfoil hat time! What if we not only get Resident Evil as Chapter 20 but, also during the livestream, they drop a paragraph or two on us as well. Along with, I really, REALLY hope, a brand new gamemode for DBD. Also, please, just on a side note, I really want to see what that early game collapse has become since it's initial announcement.
They pretty much said they changed their minds on the whole early game collapse thing a while back.

I respect you but i have to disagree. He is so fun. I mean i played with Huntress so many matches and i never got fun as her. But Trickster is fun killer. I just felt sad because he is not enough strong. And i dont think buff will be enough. He will still need buff.
True, I also am very saddened by his weak power. I have far more fun playing huntress than trickster.

All-Kill is not trash chapter.
Survivor has bad and useless perks. But killer is fun and has really good perks. He is still weak but i still have hope he will get buffs
To most people it was, the only thing I did like was the pure aesthetic of it. It was very cool, but he is very weak and I personally don't find him that fun.

Never forget the trash chapters we received, don't let BHVR make you forget.

I swear if the killer is another c or d tier killer I am going to be so upset.

33. From what you can tell does Coldwind seem to have a successful rework?
Graphics-wise? Yes, for sure. I disagree with the statement that it doesn't fit with DBD because it still does while making a completely new-looking map. It even has good collision for huntress and deathslinger and there is so far only one sound bug with the map. It will definitely be successful (again, graphics-wise).

start by removing gen tapping.

not even 1/60th of a frame for survivors to tap it to reduce regression
That is also another problem that this solves.

32. The devs are ona constant schedule they've said they get to work on another chapter immediately but do you believe at least a Mid-Chapter should be devoted to game health?
Honestly? Yeah, of course I do. A game health patch that is PROPER and actually full of many bug fixes, balances, and buffs for killers would go a long way.
People keep saying it would not profit BHVR, but I really think it would. It would make people want to play the game again. What they could do is bring out a health patch followed by a smaller one that brings out loads of cool skins for several characters. That would be a good plan in my eyes, but I'm no expert.

you are overestimating my solo queue teammates. i got hooked and all of them waited at the exit gate teabagging. the killer wasnt even hardcore camping so they easily couldve gotten it. i feel like deliverance completely removes a lot of solo queue issues while kindred still has you relying on teammates to some extent.
I think that most people underestimate how good the average solo queue game is and would be willing to prove it, gimme like a week or two to play some survivor with and without kindred. This should be interesting.
-
Well the survivors have plenty of second chance perks that all have no counterplay, while killers hardly have one. So what's to say about survivors running deliverance, DS, unbreakable, dead hard, or BT?
-
@gatsby said:
I feel like the key to balancing Trickster is making Main Event actually powerful
One of many other things. His power in general would still be weak. He also needs to be more unique from huntress.

@BubbaDredge said:
That's why you have to tunnel them earlier to make them use it.
Tbf in the endgame you kind of have to tunnel since you can assume the other survivors are healthy and it would be easier to go after the injured person.
I don't agree with saying that it makes games unwinnable, but it is still pretty cheeky way to escape when there was pretty much nothing else the killer could do.
-
@Zozzy said:
Solo survivors should not be forced to run perks to get what swf get for free.
I have yet to see a single update to buff solo survivors like the devs said they wanted to.
Kindred as base kit would be too strong, there has to be a different change to survivors to make solo queue better.

31. What other perks do you believe with enough care can become good perks that sneak into builds more common?
Second wind, it is still pretty situational but can help with tunneling off hook and save you time to reset.
MoM, if they ever fix the protection hits that is. This perk can easily become meta if it actually was much more consistent imo, it would also promote team play and saving your teammates.
BL, the only reason this perk is not meta is because not every map has loads of ledges to jump off of. Some have only a few and shelter woods none. If there were more ledges it could definitely help. I think it could become meta easily because you are able to silently get a huge head start from the killer.

@swager21 said:
deliverance is way better. sure kindred can have its plays but with deliverance you dont waste your teammates time (which they probably wouldve spent self caring in a corner anyway). also kindred doesnt help camping, all it does is tell the other survivors that going for the unhook is a death wish. deliverance can also come in clutch in the end game when the killer hooks you next to an open exit gate. there were so many times where i wished i had the perk
Actually, I think deliverance is sometimes detrimental to use in solo queue. Yeah sure, it can help you when your teammates leave you on hook, but what happens when they don't? Most of the time a teammate will rescue you, but if you have deliverance and use it there is a good chance that your teammate will have already wasted their time to come get you and it would have been better to let them rescue you.
Kindred tells you a lot more than just where the killer is, it lets everyone know what everyone is up to which is valuable information.
In end game, you should probably be on second stage or death hook if you have been taking hooks for your teammates.

@ShamelessPigMain said:
I'm sorry, but I'd prefer to not see my teammates self-care in the corner while the other guy gets camped.

Maybe if survivors weren't tryhards that pop 3 gens before the killer even finds them the killer wouldn't have to resort to tunneling to secure at least one kill so he's not only not humilliated but also doesn't derank and has some fun.
If you want tunneling to not exist then make it so the killer can chill and kill at his own pace instead of being forced to tunnel or all 4 survivors will escape and teabag at the exit.
They are tryhards for literally doing their only objective?

There are a few maps left to be changed even more with the Coldwind change. One of the maps people don't know about though is Hawkins. Do you believe Hawkins qualifies for an update?
Eh, not really. I think that Hawkins is just fine, mayyyybe it could use a slight tune up with more special effects such as lights being turned off, but that is it.
In fact it would be amazing if whenever the demogorgon hits a survivor with a shred in Hawkins or in other maps, the lights would flicker.

29. Do you believe with the Demo changes he'll be more viable and played more often?
His addons still need a few more changes and just in general he could use more changes, but the buffs look good.
I honestly don't really think it matters if demo gets rat liver base kit, he already plays fine without it IMO, I usually play him with double speed addons instead of rat liver.
The changes he could really use would be the ones that just make him quieter, it is so easy to tell when he is on someone else in a match since you can hear him screaming.
Overall though, he is only getting better with these changes, so I think we might see a rise in demo players.

If they buffed the duration, and also made it 15% then maybe it could be what everyone wants for Clown and to have some sort of map mobility. Problem is though that's it's being done from a bottle, that has to reload because you're using it with tonic's as well. My idea for Clown map mobility way before the rework, was that he has another bottle that he drinks that gives him a massive speed boost. Don't know what percentage it would have been, but he would move super fast. And it would probably have to work similar to Oni's, say he intoxicates survivors in order for it to be obtained. While drinking and moving at insane speed, the ability to intoxicate survivors is disabled until the duration of this speed boost is to run out.
I don't think 15% is good enough to be considered good map mobility. It can shave off a few seconds in traveling, but not enough to matter all that much. It is powerful in chases and tiles though which is why I wanted to add it.
The Clown having map pressure in the form of speed seems odd for a killer like Clown. I don't think it would be a good idea to give him speed because we already have killers who get their map pressure from mobility. We should be getting new ways to pressure survivors instead of reusing older ideas.
-
@glitchboi said:

Maybe the bottle counts could be separate? For example Clown has 8 bottles in total, 4 tonics and 4 antidotes. Using a tonic does not affect the antidote count.
I think that would be too much honestly. Having a 3 second reload for 8 bottles at base makes his kit not overwhelming, but somewhat lazy and bloated in design. It also wouldn't really solve the Clown's problems which is lack of map pressure and a relatively weak 1v1.

Spirit is fine, you know what isn't fine, versing a good spirit with brain dead survivors. Honestly if this games rank mattered then bring on spirits and buff the other killers, but as it stands most team mate I get cant touch a gen at rank 1 so every killer gets easy wins. Survivors are the reason balance if #########.
Spirit is not fine, her power is too one sided leaving no real counterplay for survivors, and this makes for some really unfun gameplay.

Ghostface:
I posted this somewhere else, but cooldown of Night Shroud now depends on how well you use it.
- For each survivor stalked: -2 seconds
- For every 10 seconds in Stealth Mode: -2 seconds
- For each survivor marked: -5 seconds
- Injuring a survivor: -7 seconds
- Downing a survivor: -10 seconds
- Marked down: -12 seconds
You'll get seconds shaved off of Night Shroud for each of these actions to a minimum of a 12 second cooldown time. Recharge addons will be reworked to shave 10(Brown)/15(Yellow)/20(Green) percent more time off per action. (Example: with the brown addon, Downing a survivor would award 11 seconds off rather than 10.)
I honestly think it would be better to just reduce this by -10 seconds at base. These ideas aren't bad, but just too much for the devs to probably implement for a simple mechanic, it would also make it too complex. 10 seconds seems just perfect for his base kit power.

28. Were there any perk changes that you believe were the wrong decision?
Lucky break, the perk might be a little too strong. But if they nerf it the wrong way, then it will become borderline useless again. Everything else, especially the object change, looks pretty good to me honestly.

@ClownIsUnderrated said:
Some things I'd like for Clown to make him even more better.
Give him Sticky Soda Bottle as basekit, I think him having five bottles would be good.
Buff the duration of the Invigorated effect, by just a little bit.
Make Smelly Inner Soles basekit, because for a green that increases your movement speed while reloading it is pretty good.
Always had an idea as to how to fix his map mobility, but probably won't matter now since they introduced the tonic.
I think it would be important to keep in mind that you should only make an addon base kit if it is something that a killer really needs that would suit their power nicely without being too strong. It would also be something that the killer really just needs to have.
I agree with a buff to the invigorated status effect though for base kit though. But I think it should be buffed to 15% speed instead of duration. I mean, the tonic is 15% slow, so 15% speed shouldn't be a problem right? To me, it would make sense because it helps his invigorated status effect just a little bit more, allowing you to use it in a few more places with more ease. A small buff that will not be crazy.

I mean, I guess? The hatch change won't really change much at all really. It is not effective in changing the hatch.
I honestly don't know, contrary to popular belief, Demo can still play well without the rat liver. The rat liver definitely helps him a bunch, but he still got more than he lost. I think people are overreacting. However, the Huntress's second iri addon is just a bit... not good at all.
