It's a licensed chapter, and a big license at that, so BHVR has a lot more incentive to make sure it's going to be great then they do when making an original chapter.
Every licensed chapter they've ever made has been great. Sure, there's been hiccups such as Haddonfield's balance, Freddy at launch and Quentin's face, but I have faith that this is going to be a banger.
All-Kill wasn't even that bad honestly. Sure, the Trickster was released in a bad state, but at least the game functions (mostly) as intended. Can't say that about Binding of Kin, however.
I know BHVR will probably do a good job on this licensed chapter, but then again there is Myers. The poor guy hasn't gotten any buffs or any news of a rework for some time now. On the flip side, there was silent hill. That was a pretty good chapter imo.
All kill wasn't as bad as a binding of kin, but I still think it was pretty bad. Any killer that is weak is a bad chapter in my book. It is always disappointing to get hyped up for a killer that sucks. I will admit though, all kill is definitely really cool (could have gotten a map tho).

If its good and if one of the survivors is Claire i will buy her a skin.
I might just buy my first skin if leon or claire comes in the game, it will be really cool.

POV: you wrote an essay to cry and get nothing accomplished.
I'll get you some napkins to wipe off the tears, champ.
tbf the OP is right (in a way), we should restrain ourselves from just immediately blowing all of our money on this chapter. The last 2 chapters have been... mediocre, so we are a little concerned about this chapter. I don't agree with most of the the OP is saying, but just be a little careful with your money.

I think he needs a rework, since his kit is pretty unfun to go against. You just gotta stare at the ground constantly while in a chase and if he has tar bottle, you need to constantly guess where a trap could be based on nothing.
It would be near impossible to rework his power to be different. How would we rework his traps to be both effective and more fun to go against? I think they are fine in terms of fun, it is like a good scare when you are suddenly trapped and they are fine right now.
You don't have to guess, part of playing against trapper is keeping your eye on where he is.

Then show us your games since you are apparently really good with her. If not, then don't bother posting these types of threads.

Because when it is used for distance you can't do anything. It also rewards survivors for playing greedy and can be used at any time when injured, it is very unconditional.
It can also work on mindgame hits sometimes, it is frustrating to get a perfect mindgame that should result in a hit but lose it because a survivor pressed a button on their keyboard. This situation is less common, but still a frustrating one that does happen.
-
Like I have said before, I think that gen speeds are fine, and that map design and different killers of varying strengths are the real problem.
The reason a Pig can't pressure survivors more easily is because the map is massive, so she will have to travel (without any special mobility) across the map to then chase a survivor around multiple tiles that are safe (assuming the survivor is good) to get one down after 2-3 gens pop in the distance. This is just because of poor design, the same sort of thing can happen on the survivor side. Look at macmillian for example.
On the groaning storehouse you could have loads of tiles with pallets and jungle gyms that all have pallets. This will make just one chase with a survivor with a killer like Myers suck because you not only have to stop and stare at them for a few seconds, but you also have to chase them around and around very powerful tiles. Meanwhile, gens pop in the distance. Then you add perks like SB or DH to the mix and it all just becomes horrible.
So the real fix would be to redesign the maps to be more balanced for all killers and buff killers.

No. Ranks dont mean anything. But Rank 1-2s are usually a lot better then 15-20 newbies. You know that.
Im sorry to shatter some mystique you had with blight. But he's just not that hard to use
Blight can definitely be hard to use.

Well keep in mind some other streamer thought I was cheating because I got my power too fast as Oni, after hitting two survivors in about 40 seconds...

^ this.
Like, Exhaustion Perks are an awesome example. You have 6 Exhaustion Perks in the game currently (I dont count Adrenaline). From those, only 2 see use frequently, with Head On being seen now and then, but only because it is a fun to use Perk and not because it is actually good.
3 Perks were used some time ago, but Balanced Landing was nerfed into being mostly useless, so we only had Sprint Burst and Dead Hard left. Now, if Killers get their will of nerfing Dead Hard, only Sprint Burst remains, which will make the Meta even more boring - and Killers will complain again, because it is frustrating that Survivors can do Gens while being completely save, since they can get away with Sprint Burst while the Killer is approaching (no real need to run early).
Now, there is a new Perk, Smash Hit - however:
- It is really situational
- It only works against Killers who are more likely to get stunned, e.g. it does not really work against Nurse or Spirit and most likely Deathslinger and Huntress as well
- It is only useful on unsafe Pallets, since you dont want to leave safe Pallets as Survivor
- Because of this, the Killer can counter it by respecting the Pallet, which will lead into a Hit (most likely)
- It promotes bad gameplay (camping Pallets)
- Latency will ######### you over
- And, as a cherry on top, it got released with a Bug (which is not fixed until now) which made Killers ignore Pallet Stuns
And a Perk like this should add variety to the Meta? Like, it is good that there was a new Exhaustion Perk, but if it is way too weak to begin with, nobody will use it.
And this is the case for many Perks which are released. Survivor Perks are only Placeholders to promote more Skins IMO, there is no real incentive to buy any Survivors, as long as you are not a completionist or like the visual design.
I would not say that BL is useless, in fact it is pretty strong on maps that have some sort of elevation.
-
I downed my first survivor one game not too long ago, a Nea.
That's all there is to it, she literally DC'ed because of that.
-
Even if NOED revealed itself when activating automatically, it wouldn't solve the main problem which is solo queue. It is also a really badly designed perk.
-
They are too busy adding completely unnecessary breakable walls to the already strong coldwind maps and nerfing the twins.

I like this idea. I struggle with finding the last survivor slugged sometimes due to Iron Will.
Your example of an adept situation is what happened to me to lose my adept Trickster.
If you can't hear a survivor on the ground, then that is the silent survivor bug. Iron will was made to no longer work on downed survivors a while back.
-
But the odds of going against anyone using it are slim to none, so it doesn't really matter.

Frame rates are dog and they are valuing aesthetic over optimization

Also the blood orgs can accumulate and if the survivor is in the same area for a long time, oni could easily get his power even if he fully depleted.
The thing is I didn't even fully deplete at the start of the match I had with the streamer. I only used it to down him at the start and then immediately hooked her, and there was already a bunch of blood orbs that spawned before that. It shocks me to know how little most players know about how Oni's power works.

yea, and lockers, but mainly the 3 most common actions taken in a chase besides holding W grants oni more blood orbs to get his power faster it doesn't even reset the 4 second timer meaning they are nothing but bonus on top of his base power and can come in handy in a pinch
Wait lockers also make you drop blood? lol rip locker dweets then

Killers are still winning most of the time on the map so it still doesn't have enough.
You must be really bad then.

A health chapter WOULD still be content that brings people in or back into the game, it would only benefit BHVR. But no, they nerfed the twins.

if you’re going to be one of those “gEt OvEr iT” commenters then stay out of the discussion apparently this doesn’t concern you.
Is it really a discussion if all you say is "..." with the title "the new ds is a joke right?"? What is there to discuss? The nerf was very much justified, I don't see why you have a problem with it.

She needs an add-on pass more than anything else. 75% of her add-ons exclusively affect her RBT's and Jigsaw Boxes (leaving 5 for the Crouch and Ambush abilities).
Of all these add-ons that do affect her traps, several are either somewhat unfair (Tampered Timer and the "Plan" add-ons), completely negligible (the "Razor" add-ons), or just encourage tunneling trapped survivors (Amanda's Secret and the Status Effect Inflicters).
Aside from the add-ons though, the one big thing I'd change about her base mechanics would be to delay her Ambush "roar". I think it should play right as she begins to Dash instead of while she's charging the attack.
I think she needs a rework over everything else. Her issue is her base power which is RNG reliant and weak for the dash.
Once you rework her, then you can change her addons accordingly so it makes sense and scales up better.

Still waiting for that Trapper rework.
I think that he only needs buffs, not necessarily a rework. A rework is something that requires several changes to the power of a killer including the addition of a new ability.
He needs buffs like being able to hold one extra trap at base, or a set time of 10 seconds when someone steps in a trap. Now that I think of it, why did the devs not even give him a set time for survivors to get out of a trap?
-
Yeah, his addons are pretty bad and do not scale up well, look at the Hellshire iron ultra-rare, it sucks.

I have updated the list

Trapper and Hag.
true.
As trapper and hag, you are going to want to be setting up your traps for a good portion of the game, ruin is only good on the killers who are constantly moving around and scaring survivors off of gens.

How would you buff killers?
Wait a few years, maybe the devs will give Trapper one extra trap basekit.
-
It doesn't matter that there are like 2 vaults on the map, by the time you are done breaking most of the pallets, the gens will be done.
The real question is has BHVR acknowledged it?
-
Pig and Myers need a rework, not Trapper.
Trapper just needs a lot of buffs and some changes to his traps, his power can definitely work a lot better.
Myers and Pig on the other hand have real issues with their powers, they are very weak and they just aren't very consistent with their powers either. The Pig has terrible RNG on her traps and her ambush is useless against any good survivor. Myers just has an outdated power that is weak, he could use some utility or extra power, SOMETHING.
But the devs aren't exactly known for giving killers what they need.
-
It's not a mindgame if there is not an equal opportunity to outplay the other, compare it to any other mindgame on all other killers.
For example, a moonwalking legion, you lose sight of the legion but you know what he is up to, you take a peek by moving a little to see if he committed or is baiting you.

Yes, it's the 90% of casual players who are playing a game they paid for to have fun that are ruining the game. Not the 5% of sweaty competitive tryhards.

All of them.
-
Haddonfield
-
Or you can just not let players pressing a button on their keyboard a few times upset you. It hurts them more than you, or at least it should.
-
Same, but the devs aren't the best at buffing killers. I mean they literally nerfed the twins.
-
"Go play another game for a change, try civilization."
Ok now that I think of it that wouldn't exactly help lol
-
We use perks like bbq or discordance.

Have they never played against an Oni that is using the add on where you can see your own blood orbs? In the time it takes to do a normal heal you get surrounded by so many blood orbs, there's plenty there to power him up in one go. After first time facing Oni using that add on I saw for myself how many blood orbs I drop being injured.
I doubt it, everyone was against me in chat and everyone also apparently knew how Oni's power worked and that I could only get my power that fast with addons.
And this is just how strong Oni is without addons, he is a monster with them.
-
They were talking about post-game chat, but not anymore because apparently, people got their feewings hurt from that.

Ah, right, better go tell Otz or Tru3 that moonwalking doesn't do anything. Lol
It works on baby survivors, and it does not always work on safe tiles.

@Northener1907 said:
It is already good perk, i dont think it needs buff. Just one hook save and then you have insane fast healing and you have really good time for keep it.
I know, but I still think it could use a slight tweak. It still wouldn't be meta with this change.
-
@bjorksnas said:
How about all other injured survivors, because while im all for a no downside buff I think it would make more sense if you become injured while someone has well make it active you see the blue symbol in the bottom left and can see their aura to know where to go for heals, regular aura reading 24/7 when a survivor has it active just sounds weird
So like all other injured survivors can see someone with wmi? That seems better than what I came up with.

Yea, S for suck
