and should I be concerned that I have memorized the quotes in perks and can recall them almost immediately?

She's not trash, but not that far from it honestly.
I think she needs a rework to make her ambush actually skillful and strong in a chase by being less predictable and more easy to use. Her RBTs also need to get rid of the RNG aspect to it. Then we can start talking about her addons.

Maybe BHVR just sacrificed the quality of this chapter so they could focus their resources on the anniversary chapter lol

Hey everyone! 😊
Thanks for leaving all of your comments. We've been reading them all morning, so keep the awesome feedback comin'!
As mentioned in the OG News post, we'll continue monitoring your feedback about The Trickster, as we do with every other Killer. If more tweaks are necessary, they'll be announced in a future update.
Looking forward to hearing what you'll all have to say when the upcoming Bugfix Patch drops! ❤️
Well thank you very much for acknowledging the feedback we provide and then telling us you are. It is very much appreciated and makes us feel like you really do listen to us. It doesn't usually feel that way, so thanks.

changing one perk after evaluating feedback, continuing with internal testing, and reworking something from the ground up trying not to cause 50 bugs whilst being of... bhvr's skill level vs changing numbers in a power.

You know it takes time to code things, right?
2 months seems like plenty of time to change one perk. They changed a bunch of things to trickster since his release sooner than that, and there was a lot more than a few changes.

They stated that the change MIGHT NOT make it into live game so it was only a concept so.
But it was so good and everyone loved it, it was such a perfect change. Why would they not add it in?

Because as I found out it is way easier to use my mouse for skill checks and actions, my personal preference. Tbh self healing is the only action I don't agree for the ds nerf. The rest is ok.
But if you are self healing, you aren't being tunneled so DS should go away.

Also, spirit has no real counterplay. Bad spirits are why people think she does.
I'm sorry.

Yeah,i'm pretty disappointed about "Main Event" too.
Like, look at other power burst abilities (e.g Myers Tier 3,Plagues Corrupt Purge or Onis Blood Fury). Those powers are scary to go against. You know those are powerful and you get a map wide notification aswell once they are activated.
"Main Event" is just pathetic compared to them and a HUGE missed opportunity to make this character feel more individual
The trickster is a narcissist, I was expecting main event to actually be map wide and powerful so it fits with his character. It is literally his normal power but just buffed a little.
-
No, your teammates are not trash 100% of the time when solo queuing, you are also making bad decisions. You are just blaming them for your mistakes every moment you get, at least a lot of people do. This is why I like to record and review my gameplay when loading into another lobby, to find the mistakes I made after I potentially cool off after a tilting game.

PT can be the difference between chasing 2 survivors off of a generator and kicking it with PGTW or making it there too late to do anything. It's particularly noticable on maps like Saloon or Mother's Dwelling, with lots of platform gens. In a game where every second counts, and where you want survivors together because it buys you more time, it almost completely removes this downside and makes gen speeds faster.
Wouldn't this be more over maps being too big, or having poorly designed maps? PT to me seems pretty busted when 2 people have it and are on a map where it is hard to patrol gens such as midwich, the game, or mothers dwelling. However, on a map like coal tower it seems a lot more manageable.

Prove Thyself and Borrowed Time are, and were, the most unhealthy perks in the game on the survivor side.
I can understand BT because it encourages unsafe rescues, but how is PT unhealthy?

"People who play both sides are the whiniest group out of everyone."
Actually no. People who play only one side are constantly crying about the good stuff off the other side. People who play both sides are the ones that know that both sides have strenghts.
lol I haven't heard that before, but yes people who play both sides very 50/50 not 80/20 know the strengths and weaknesses of both sides. They are also proven to be cuter.

True, people keep saying that it is another one of freddys strengths, it's not. It just looks weird since he is smol and his weapon isn't very long.

Yeah, pretty much a combination of everything people have already said. I like the perk, it's nice. However I see a few main inconvenients:
- It forces hook rushing with solos
- Very often you gotta chase the random to Narnia and back before they let you touch them
- It doesn't work on yourself (this would be amazing tbh)
- In the end, while it's nice, it takes up a slot and I'd rather have a stronger perk for being altruistic like BT.
I think they could buff it a bit, to not directly work on yourself like it does on others, but maybe make unhooking a bit faster as well? (10% faster) AND make the notification when someone with We'll make it unhooks you, more obvious.
Now I'm aware other perks like Nobody left Behind already does this, so they should change this perk too, but it's a pretty useless perk anyway now that the end game collapse makes the end game last so little time. There's so many outdated perks.
It used to work by yourself, but that made it OP with the old self care. Even now it would be OP with self care or medkits. It is better if it only works on other people that you heal.

hOnistly, Oni is superior because of just how strong blood fury is. It does take him a while to get his power, but when he does get it, it is very hard to deal with from survivors. It is also more flexible because you can easily down survivors with your power and use demon dash much better than Billy can.
I like to think that Billy has a weaker power than Oni, but better mobility. Billy always has access to mobility and can sometimes insta down, but it is much more situational to use your chainsaw in a chase. Oni on the other hand, can use his power much easier than billy can in loops and for mobility, but he has to choose when to activate blood fury.
I think Oni takes a lot more skill than people realize. His demon dash in some tiles can only hit survivors if you know how to glide along the walls well and have quick reactions. Then there is also his half second mind games. It is hard to explain, but when an Oni demon dashes to the left or right side of some sort of tile where the survivor is on a pallet, he has to commit to one side a little more than the other to be able to turn and hit the survivor when dashing. Like I said, it is easier to show than say, but this right here takes some really quick thinking when against good survivors.
Billy is definitely a good killer, not as good as he used to be, but he is still good. However Oni is just better and more consistent than Billy.

no. if you are a good killer, you will know how to use certain things to your advantage.
You can still pull some mindgames like normal, but it is useless on the strong parts of the map such as the house of pain and the basement stairs since survivors can see you better than you can see them. I am a good killer, and I know that Haddonfield is a broken map. Ask any other good killers and they will say the same thing.

WMI is my "must have" survivor perk. Unless I'm running a special build designed to help me with a tome challenge or an achievement, it stays in my builds.
Lately I've been running it alongside WGLF, Botany Knowledge, and Autodidact. Once I get those Autodidact stacks... It's super
illegalspeedy healing time!Running fast healing speed perks seems pretty counter productive lol wouldn't you say?
If you are healing faster then you have less time to get skillchecks for autodidact.

I've found she's very hit or miss
Now that I'm on the Xbox Series X, she's much better but she still has the problems where her powers can be wildly inconsistent. I've barfed on survivors, watched them react to the barf (so I know I hit them), and then they don't get infected. I've also still experienced barfing at someone going through a window and having none of the barf hit the survivor somehow or the barf getting stopped by an invisible rock that the survivor is evidently hiding behind...
She's certainly not the worst killer but the game seems to struggle with her powers for some reason
Her power can definitely be inconsistent at times, like latency with huntress hatchets, but she is still pretty good. Right now, most survivors just don't know how to play against her that well. She is a strong killer despite that though.

why is pp head so low?

Not trying to come at you or sound rude but what’s the point of a 1K? I’ve never understood that.
Killing survivors is just satisfying in this game, without getting any kills, it feels like you just lost terribly as killer. Securing at least one makes you feel a little better.
-
I mean it is just the killer trying to secure at least one killer, I don't mind it.

"fing tunneling trash killer player 2000 hours and you still cant win without tunneling?"
"-rep, plays spirit"
and "literally the most toxic player ever, uninstall and get a fing life"

Very, but not busted strong. Haddonfield is just broken.

Aesthetic was 8/10
The killer was just a tad bit too flashy and we didn't get a map. I would have loved a neon city map in the night. The sound design and overall theme however was still fitting with DBD.
Gameplay was 3/10
Very poor, it was fun at first to chuck knives at survivors, but it gets old real quick, he is also debatably worse than Clown. Very weak killer that is too similar to others.
