But you can. It essentially makes it so that players who are paying attention know where the other player is(this applies to both sides)
It makes the counterplay to Spirit the exact same way you play her.
If that old bug was brought back wouldn't it really make spirit's phasing useless against any sentient survivors? It just seems like a very lazy "fix" for spirit, and I don't think anyone would like this. This would just make the spirit guess alongside the survivors more often which is not exactly fun.
-
The options you provide just screw over your teammates and deprive them of getting any points.
-
Pretty sad that the devs have seen this thread for sure already, they are just choosing not to reply, deliberately leaving us in the dark. I was optimistic before, but it really feels like they are just ignoring us.
They could have at least said that it was confirmed that optimization was coming as they said in the RE livestream. Just write a little comment confirming this in this thread and that will be it, I would be happy.

It is a rework. Her power would literally be altered to work slightly differently.
Also it's not a nerf, it just encourages alternative gameplay and actually means that Spirit will require some form of skill and effort. It will also make matches much more interesting and engaging for both sides. It does not mean that she will be weaker.
But there really is no way to balance her without nerfing her at the same time. Any sort of changes to her that would allow counterplay from the survivors is a nerf. Not that it is a bad thing though.

How to find my own stat with that? Does it show?
You have to be on PC, at least I think so, that is the only way I know that you can find your stats for DBD.
-
BT, DS, and unbreakable are all perks that are useful against a camping killer
Then you have SB or DH to help as well.

She has counterplay people just hate using their head lol.
Such as? At least list some counterplays before making a comment like this, too many people just say "she has counterplay" and give no examples.
And before you do, I am just going to let you know that she does not have counterplay. There have been several forum posts describing why. tl;dr she has no counterplay because you cannot react to her phase walk, even if you knew when she was phasing, there is no counter to something you can't react to. Whatever you do is just guessing.
Likewise for people to say she has counterplay and don't elaborate.

Spine chill because you know stridor is the counter to iron will. If you dont have spine chill stay healthy and play with the other survivor to make her lose you its a 4v1 not a 1v1 most of the people forget about that aspect
No it is not, a spirit can just keep looking at you when phasing.

@CoalTower said:
The first one is a buff. Blood will show her exactly where you are. That's not a guess. And making her deaf or making sounds non directional would kill her.
Just bring the sound bug back with her and she's fixed.
You can't just fix spirit that easily, she needs more than just that, if even.
-
Well... yeah
And no there are no other uses for it other than camping.
-
Oni
The strength of his muscles exceed even that of the Nemesis'.
-
It is not easy in solo queue, you just have to hope the killer doesn't have it.
-
@Mr_K said:
Against a good nurse though, none of that will really matter. You might as well just let her kill you lol.
I'm getting really sick of seeing this. You can run even a good Nurse. Just takes some awareness and tactics.
I was just making a silly joke, but ok.
-
where did you even find that?
-
Felix and Kate
Huntress and Plague (pre-infection)

It's a nice idea, but it reminds me as if someone is following around the killer all game looking for that flashlight save..
..which means they aren't doing gens.
Can't always rely on teammates doing them, especially if you're solo-queue. Not to mention, it also sounds like a good way to get yourself camped in the basement.
True, but if you don't then people will die quicker. It is just the sad reality of solo queue unfortunately, this will still help your team very much. I would say to go for it.

Nothing plays like nurse in DBD.
If there any killer power that is similar to blights, it would be Spirit in the sense that they both get big speed-boosts for short period of time but they do not play the same way nor is their counter-play remotely the same.
Breaking LOS, changing up your pathing, using lockers to dodge some hits, and running away while they are fatigued aren't similar counterplays that work against Nurse and Blight?
-
That's not what your stats on dbd shows https://dbd.onteh.net.au/

-And every other platform, it isn't just console

Pig isn't as bad as people make out, her stealth ability is pretty bad however her RBTs have the potential to stall the game EXTREMELY well, she's also pretty fun to play which is an added bonus.
They have the potential to stall very well, or hardly at all.
-
I played with @bjorksnas just the other night, it was pretty cool since that doesn't ever really happen
-
I don't think it is because you can't loop him, I think it is because his counterplay is boring and he has free zoning for existing. He is just very annoying at times and people don't like that. Of course, you do have those survivor players who say things like "omg op cant loop plz nerf", but even reasonable players don't like him for other reasons.
To play against deathslinger, just put things between you and him. That's it. That isn't very fun because when it comes down to it, a good deathslinger will always hit his shots with no opportunity for dodging when he can. You can't dodge his shots within a certain range because he can literally shoot faster than you can react.

As killer very similar to a post further up on this page. "Say byebye to your account", "we know powerful people you're getting banned". Why? I had NOED 1 on my level 13 or something Leatherface and using instadown perks on instadown killers is apparently some kind of sin. This was around the time Bubba was released, still waiting to say byebye to my account.
As survivor, the most ascended and paranoid "there's nothing implying you're swf, but you are" statement I've ever seen. Not the already kinda paranoid "sure there's 4 public steam profiles with no friend relations, but you clearly invited through discord!", but they claimed that we unironically, genuinely and sincerely delete eachother on steam between every match just to hide we're SWF. I really hope they were just trolling (in which case A+, gave me a good laugh) but based on the very bannable things they said in chat later on and their incredibly angry Steam profile it seemed pretty genuine.
Ah yes, the old "say bye bye to account :)". I have gotten that message every time and have not been banned yet.
-
Because it would probably break the game if they tried to implement it. It would also be incredibly unbalanced and wild.

My personal favourite, S is the Survivor, D is me
S: "I'm reporting you idiot"
D: "What for?"
S: "Camping and Tunneling"
D: "How did i do those exactly?"
S: "You downed the Quinten after i unhooked him"
D: "If you are expecting me to not down him after you unhook him in my face without BT then you are not very smart"
S: "Then you tunneled me"
D: "You were one of only 2 people alive and the other guy was on hook, what do you expect me to do?"
S: "I'm still reporting you and your profile you (slur)
D: "welp, enjoy getting banned mate, the devs don't approve of yelling slurs at people"
I then left, what's hilarious is that guy got banned the next day and i got absolutely nothing because as it turned out he was spineless and never made a report
Wait you can actually get people banned for slurs? Well now I feel bad because so far every time has used any kind of slur I just let them go because I thought I couldn't do anything. Mainly because it is such a hassle to file a report.

The killer got so angry when I dared to say gg after escaping with bad points. Okay, just tried to be polite but guess not.
People hate it when they get hit the "gg" after a slaughter.
-
But then it would just be whispers but a lot better since you could also track survivors with it.
-
Very, but keep in mind that survivors will probably catch on to it quickly.

I tried to play as him and it is so easy to sneak up on survivors and hook them afterwards. Such an unbalanced killer, he used to be better
That is if the survivor is a noob for the most part, then yes.
-
If it wasn't really that useful then why did literally 90% of the survivor population run it?

@GeneralV said:
I agree with you on this one, my friend.
Also I am pretty sure you've already seen what my concept for a Freddy change is, but here we go:
Power: Dream Demon
Pull survivors into the Dream World
-Survivors who are awake do not see The Nightmare.
-Once targeted by The Nightmare’s power, survivors enter the Dream Transition for 7 seconds.
-The Nightmare’s Movement Speed Penalty for putting a survivor into the Dream Transition lasts for 1 second.
-During the Dream Transition Survivors can see The Nightmare intermittently and they suffer from the Incapacitated status effect.
-When the Dream Transition Lapse, the Survivor is pulled into the Dream World.
Once in the Dream World:
-Survivor’s auras are revealed to The Nightmare when they are outside of his terror radius.
-Survivors suffer an action speed penalty of 40%.
-To exit the Dream World, Survivors can find non-sleeping Survivors to perform a wake up action.
-Failed Generator Skill Checks can also wake up.
-Hooked Survivors wake up.
Special Ability: Dream Projection
-Teleport to a Generator in view. Releasing the button early will cancel the action.
-Survivors cannot interact with the targeted Generator.
-For each Survivor in the Dream World, the cool-down of using Dream Projection is reduced by stack-able 20%.
“You have nothing to worry about. This won’t hurt one… little… bit.” -Freddy Krueger
So basically old Freddy but updated a bit? I honestly feel that this isn't what he needs. His dream projection could easily be used to hold 3 gen scenarios as good as doctor, maybe even better and the dream transition would just really hurt him, it is why Freddy was so weak before. I think the devs should just change how his snares work so that they are more complex and interesting in game.
-
If he wasn't already boring as hell to play against lol
-
Oni or Blight for best designed killer, they are both fantastic.
Twins for the worst for sure. They excel at what everyone has been hating since the beginning of the game. I will say it again, it is absolutely amazing how BHVR managed to create such abominations that are good at what their players have hated for ages. I hate this killer with a passion.

Do you happen to know if it happens with Demo too?
I think so actually, I haven't played him much or a lil while.
-
The same thing happens with Blight's lethal rushes and Oni's demon strike, it is dumb.
-
Distressing. If used on its own, it is more detrimental than anything.
-
If you are new to the game, then don't post these kinds of threads.
-
bruhh I literally have a freddy thread about his nerf in the works rn, I was going to touch on why his nerfs were misguided, mind if I still post it?
-
Can I see some of your gameplay against good survivors please?

It feels like survivors are starting to lose the definition of teamwork.
I don't think they ever knew what it was to begin with.
-
What I would love is for her to be reworked to have fun gameplay for both sides, but still be S tier or at least A tier.
-
I am actually pretty excited lol I have missed his videos.
-
I think it is both outdated and poorly designed. It was literally designed as a "counter" to gen rushing back in the day.
-
This is rewarding survivors for dying and punishing the killer for doing well. You also cannot punish people simply for tunneling since it is literally the killer doing their only objective. It would be like punishing survivors for "gen rushing".

Definitely, but remember who we’re talking about. Pig is widely considered one of the weakest killers in the game. I would also remove her ability to see boxes; it’s a big part of her tunneling capability I mentioned in my first comment.
It would make her stronger, but just a lot more boring and unfun for survivors. I know she needs buffs, but this is not the way that she should be buffed.
-
@GoshJosh said:
I think it’s a missed opportunity that all survivors don’t start the trial with an inactive trap already on their heads. It’s not like it’s a secret who the killer is once you see/hear a Jigsaw box. They can make their choice to search boxes or do gens first. Would be truer to the movies and give Pig a great early game.
But I wouldn’t dare consider what you’re suggesting. There’s already problem enough with Pigs tunneling survivors with active RBTs. Something should be done about that.
Her early game would be incredibly powerful with other slowdown perks, especially corrupt.
-
I mean it can nullify any attempt to save the survivor who is downed since there will be no opportunity to save them through any means. so it is somewhat useful.
-
The killer is supposed to be the power role in this asymmetrical horror game, not the survivors.
And lol no, survivors are not being nerfed that hard because of a random aspect to a killer power that is still subject to change.
