The death screams of the survivors as they are being brutally murdered by my hand. Their beautiful yet heart-wrenching screams as I crush them with oni's magnificent weapon, followed by silence... As I turn to my next victim.
Good stuff.

Map offerings suck because majority of maps suck for Killer. If the maps were balanced it wouldn't matter.
Look at the amount of pallets on The Game and tell me that map is okay, the fact it hasn't been changed yet is embarrassing.
Just break all the pallets 4head, once they are gone on that map that is all the survivors have to use

What I got from this was to nerf blight because he is played so often and is actually a strong killer, or to buff survivors to fix the issue with one of 24 killers.

"A large majority of killer players actually never run them." This is so incredibly untrue, it hurts. Literally the majority of my survivor matches are killers still running ruin/undying/tinkerer. Occasionally you don't see tinkerer, but ruin is in every single match I play on DBD. It is absolutely ridiculous.
Worst part is, these players usually play so terribly, but win thanks to ruin never being found.
So every game you play against hex totems they are never found? And ruin is in every match? That sounds more untrue than what I said because that is most certainly not true.
Also I think I just played against you on grim pantry, weren't you the person who dced on the first down of the match?

Isn't this what they are trying to do with mori's?
Maybe, but no one knows yet and it will probably be months before we finally get to see it.

She is dead.
I mean she is a ghost isn't she?
-
Is it a good idea to use your shred when a survivor is about 8-10 meters away from you in the open?
-
I hate how "the game" was fixed before dead dawg.
Who th wants to play on the game where safe pallets roam the halls?
-
There is no definition and they don't exist.

This is why totems are actually good, let me explain.
Totems spots can be everywhere on the map, either super well hidden or in plain sight. That's where their strengths is.
When searching for hexes, survivors have to go to every spot possible in the map, turning around every rock they see,... Robbing a lot of time.
If they were only good spots for totems, these would be limited, and survivors would just have to remember like... Maybe 10-15 spots per map ?
But yeah, sometimes you get good spots, sometimes not, that's how hexes work.
But it is inconsistent. In an asymmetrical game like dbd, there really is no place for elements like perks being RNG reliant.
You can never fully rely on your hex perks. While that is sort of the point, it is still way too inconsistent. A large majority of killer players actually never run them because they want perks that can work for them; lots of killer players don't use those perks at all and are more limited to a smaller selection of perks. That is not very fun.
Sure, you get good spots and bad spots. But it is just unreliable and borderline gimmicky.
I say totems should be reworked to be more consistent somehow.

I recently started to see the decline to be honest. It's not dead but it is dying.
The literal 100k+ other people playing this game disagree

I put something in about cheaters very respectfully.
Pretty sure they will ignore about it tho.

Pig has been underwhelming for months and months, shush
You misspelled years
-
Totems need to be reworked in general. They are completely dependent on RNG.
-
I think there needs to be different types of skillchecks.
One where you hold down spacebar, maybe some where you hit them once or twice.
It would make gens be a little more intensive than press spacebar every 10 seconds.

Masters in Communications here, with a concentration in professional communications here:
The fact they aren't saying something is a really bad sign. Yes, even though it is a holiday weekend. De-confirming something like this could be done in a twitter post, it wouldn't require a top level choice, this is what you would be paying your day to day content/social media manager to handle and they would need to be in the know of if there were any major brand deals lined up. Content Managers are 'on call' on holidays in the sense they should be checking in every so often to ensure they don't need to put out a fire like this. So the fact they aren't de-confirming it is troubling, because if it isn't true the choice to say 'We aren't doing this' to something generating a ton of negative buzz in your community should take 5 seconds to make.
It either points to serious dysfunction in their leadership structure, where they can't even do the basic "we are not doing this and it goes against our values" post to judo flip this PR snafu into a way to build positive brand perception, or it being real so they CAN'T deconfirm it and either they aren't allowed to say 'yeah we are doing it' due to responsibilities to their partners, or because they are trying to backpedal because they realized their fans are not about making computers do sudoku so hard it makes the planet uninhabitable in 10 years so they can create artificial scarcity of basic gameplay functions.
Masters in communications huh? Tell me then, how do I talk to a girl?

The worst state the game had been in was about 3-4 years ago when infinites were still a thing, insta heals were still a thing, old nurse was still a thing, etc.

Plague is definitely...consistent. I wouldn't call her strong.
If you are good, you will have good games as Plague. She isn't really able to carry you.

Demo is wonderful, but (like Nurse or Hag) does require your opponents to give you openings.
I beg to differ

I don't really see the issue at all with NOED - first of all it can be removed from the game before it's even active and secondly, the killer is down to 3 perks throughout the entire match. I'd also refute that it's used on less skilled killers, i see it used a lot on low mobility killers, which I think is perfectly understandable as those are the ones that are likely to reach endgame more.
It just feels cheap. I would say that it is lazily designed, especially since it was made as a band-aid to counter "gen-rushing" in the past. And it sucks to play against when you are part of a solo team since they have no means of coordinating cleanses.

In my opinion it's the strongest early-game perk by a wide margin, and the benefit it provides for the early game is worth trading away a perk slot after the first nine seconds.
interesting

It's very quickly become Lethal Pursuer, it's such a good perk.
I dont have it, is it really good or just good?

Probably Plague. No one plays her and she is very strong, and she will be made stronger with the buffs she is getting.

What? No. The nerf was perfect.
Yeah, giving a killer a borderline useless addon is the "perfect" way to nerf it.
-
A little iffy on the details, but I understand the gist of it.
That is pretty lame to say the least.
But what is etherium and what does that have to do with this? My knowledge on cryptocurrency is pretty limited.
-
These devs are interesting to say the least.
One patch they give us an amazing chapter like blight, and then there is this.
I just hope they can do better in the future.
-
So in the last 2 months, has anything really changed? By a significant amount or only a little?
-
@jadss said:
you mean the killer who is literally better then nurse basically? lmao, trickster is a ######### machine when we come to basement plays, and this killer has meaningless counter play from the survivor's part, they can't do better then losing line of sight, and even 1% of line of sight is easily deadly because of 5 knives in that time span, and then the trickster with absolute no skill at all, can hit another knife and down the survivor, please tell me where this is fair and balanced AT ALL....
Honestly I agree with this.
That is, if the survivors run in straight lines. Or don't look behind them and just in general don't know how to play against trickster. So basically survivors who just bought the game...
-
Great work on this... Again.
It is sad to hear absolutely nothing about pinhead's voicelines though :(
-
I like that, it is what people wanted it to be in the first place.
But maybe just 20 meters? 24 seems like just a wee bit too much.

@Bran said:
If there was a range for it, it'd be useless.
No, it would massively make her zoning power much stronger. It would also allow her snipes to be very lethal as well.

aight let's just revert the changes to keys and hatch then
You forgot "nerfing pig" with that
But in all seriousness, I'm glad the changes have come through. At least we got changes. And great work as always.
-
Wait, so survivors can still escape in front of your face? Lol all they have to do is 99 the hatch
-
Omg, FNAF confirmed!?!?!
-
He is decently strong, and was slightly stronger before his addon nerfs.
He is incredibly boring to play as and against. He needs skill to play to fix this.
-
Springtrap should never become a killer in dbd
Sorry not sorry
-
No, it is fine and most people complaining probably don't know how to play against him. You just need to properly position yourself and he will be forced to uncloak and chase you like a normal killer or leave you alone.
And no, he was not "a wee bit op" BHVR.
-
@Lycidas said:
And another thing, how long of a slug would be enough to consider a concede option? A minute? 2 minutes? 3 even?
1 minute after the third, noisy crow has spawned is a good amount, maybe even too much:
In order for 3 crows to spawn you need to be on the ground, unmoving, noone has to heal you and you must not be recovering by holding M1, and you have to stay like that for 100 seconds before the killer start getting notifications from the crows
If you are in that situation, it means the killer (or anyone else) didn't touch you or you didn't move for 160 seconds, plus the killer knows where you are, since he's being constantly notified by the crows
It should be pretty safe to assume that you're not going to be hooked if you're in that situation
So yeah, a "Bleed out" option in that case wouldn't hurt anyone, apart from griefers
Don't you think?
Like I said to another similar comment, that wouldn't actually be a bad idea. But the problem with this is BHVR, I'm sure they would rather spend their time doing something more important. Like nerfing pig.

One argument I've seen is that he could be a camping monster if he could perma hold main event
He already is very good at camping regardless though, and using it for camping wouldn't really do him much good since his map pressure is already so weak.

I don't like sucking it up.
No one does, but knowing BHVR they will just move on to more pressing issues like nerfing pig or adding in changes no one wanted.
-
Getting in your squats for the day of course

@Mat_Sella said:
if you're the last one, where is the harm in it? The killer could kill you, but they arent on purpose. or maybe they lost you and cant find you.
In that situation, there is no meaningful reason as to why the survivor just cant wish to sacrifice themselves to expedite the process and get into the next match.
No one wants to wait 5 minutes for a match to spend 4 minutes on the ground.
True, but that problem rests on BHVR actually implementing it. And I am pretty sure (hoping) that they would rather spend their time doing something else that is more meaningful.
-
Not sure, but it takes around 70 hours of gameplay to get enough shards (9000) for either one non-licensed killer or survivor.

or simple make him to use Both dream snare and dream pallet then he will no longer be boring
he was strong but with huge nerf he is pretty meh and weak
That wouldn't change how his snares work, which is a pretty big part of his power and how his chases work. So adding fake pallets to his base kit would just make him more frusturating.
The nerfs were just misguided. He needs his power to be changed in a way that will add skill to it so he doesn't get all of that for free.
-
Run DS, SB, and BT more often.
Problem solved.

Just do what I did- accidentally leave your hatchets at home (double iri add-ons and throw one at the start of the game) and play M1ntress
I legit played with iri head to get rid of my hatchets asap, and also brought the soldier's putee. I used STBFL, pop, BBQ, and sloppy. Miraculously, I somehow managed to get a 4k on the first try.
Then I realized I forgot to activate the required challenge...
I still haven't come back to it.

He was strong before, and he is strong now. It is just that his power is pretty much unchanged and still very boring to use and play against.

Eh, I still think Trapper and Pig are worse.
But even they have abilities that can sometimes help in a chase, and Pig also has her slowdown (however weak it usually is). Legion pretty much has nothing against good survivors. His addons are also outdated.
