The PC community is this game's smallest.
Information you should already know when you're talking about the state of its population.
If you're going to be rude, go else where. I shouldn't have to know bout PC population. I'm stating what I see going on outside of this forum since mods/gaming developers aren't in those other forums and groups.

Play as Killer.
No problem with ques.
BTW: Killers screen who they match with. If you have a TTV name its an automatic leave lobby for me. And if there are 3+ of either console or PC, I leave lobby.
I don't like the movement and camera view of killers to be honest. It bothers my eyesight. It's not the same when playing cod or re. >∆> I also told my bf to leave ttv out because that's why he gets tunneled. Lmao I never put ttv on mine.

That it prevents people from being as selfish.
Not true at all. The fact that outages can happen, net issues, and horrible matches. Apparently now they're going based off stats for matchmaking? Matchmaking has been complete crap. Players on Reddit and other forms even complain about how other players arent helping and how they're sticking matches that are horrible.

I recently started to see the decline to be honest. It's not dead but it is dying.

No, this used to be a thing where hooks would not respawn and survivors would all bring toolboxes and make the entire map a deadzone for the killer except basement.
Even if you cap it, coordinated teams or one smart survivor can create a deadzone where survivors can run and the killer will never reach a hook. Hooks are also permanently destroyed after someone dies which would make the deadzone even bigger if you did get someone to a hook.
Awful idea due to prior experience. Saboing is fine the way it is.
That's why I said put a limit to how many hooks can be down. Like 2 or 3. Killers can use iron will if they're that worried bout it. Rarely do ppl even use toolboxes or play swf. Even if no one does, too many experience where people see a killer camping survivor between two hooks. I as well as a handful in the fb community think it's something that should be reworked

yeah but you can’t jump into DBD expecting well Damn maybe let’s solo a killer no…it’s a a-symmetrical survival game for a Damn reason of course team work will be a mandatory thing
so the devs aren’t really to blame by much of course their trying to balance and there is 100 complaints and 100 complaints about those complaints but people knew what they were signing up for cause A-symmetrical was what it was announced to be
There's many solo players that don't play in swf. It's been that way. People can choose to play in swf or not. But even with cross play people can't communicate like they do on Friday the 13th or black ops. People have to use discord which disconnect a lot. And it's not a mandatory thing. People choose to work as a team or not. Without communication it discourages most to even care or try to work together. In Friday the 13 ppl can communicate. And I think they did a pretty good job between killer and survivors. They can fight the killer to stun him or respawn and communicate.
So yeah the devs are to blame. Especially when one of them supports the tunneling/camping method and encourages it. Many people on fb state how queen is very much into killer side more then the mechs of the survivors. Instead of fixing what people have stated. Like bugs, penalties, glitches, lags ect. They just keep releasing new killers/survivors. Instead of focusing on the main issues. All games will have complaints/reviews. In the end it depends on how they'll go about it. Lol
-
@Th3Nemesis said:
That is why they slug and so forth not that I do it or support that it’s the right way to go about things
i do seldomly allow survivors to farm points on me though
Most of the survivors I play with as killer usually hide. Lol and as survivor, well they don't always help one another out. And with no communication, it's even harder, unless you're playing with a team. But most don't. It's easier for killers to rack the points. But when it comes to events, it's a piece of cake. They don't even need to kill anyone and even if they do, it's easy to kill. Most of the time I'm with crappy survivors that aren't doing gens and hiding and we still end up slugged down. Ranking system or the new skill system is horrible. And idk what he meant by 200k. Lmao I'm more focused on the point that it's harder for survivor especially when it comes to events.

It's sad really. When they start losing everyone, they can't wonder why
-
I saw this on twitter and I think they should 100% do something like this! This is extremely eye appealing and would be great in game!
-
They should 100% do something like this!!!
-
@twistedmonkey said:
Its better than before but still not great. They really do need to separate these "widgets" so we can place them where we wish so everyone can be happy.
They should also allow us to chnage the character portraits to either be as they are, as they were or as above. These options are not hard to make happen.
If they could give us the option to change it how we want it, like classic vs updated; that would be freaking wonderful!
-
@stargazer9 said:
I like that they added survivor portraits, a lot of us do. What I personally don’t like is that they’re vertical instead of horizontal. And that they chose cartoonish colorful portraits that look out of place instead of going with something like this...

I think it's half and half. Some like it some don't. If the portrait was like what you pictured, it would have been great and just have it horizontal. But it's not sadly and that's what many dislike. It was fine the way it was before. They should have only updated the icons and left it horizontal and leave it be
-
@Caleegi said:
I don't mind it, it was a step in the right direction but not the best. I wish they had the portraits horizontal so it takes up less of my valuable side of screen. Apart from that i like it because they made the hook timer bigger and the HUD now is less straining to the eyes.
Idk I personally think it's a step down. Having it horizontal would have been great as it was no issue before. If it was sketches it would have been better in my opinion. With no color unless it's blood. I don't think the hook time is bigger. Just think they could have done much better.

If it was like this, I'd dig it 100%! Though personally I don't care for it to be colored.i think it's too distracting. The black an white version was fine as it was. I love that layout though. Very appealing to the eye. The new updated HUD is just a big disappoinment. I'm to the point, I just want to delete the game entirely. They just don't care about the gamers views or comfort.

They are quite content to work at their own, lazy pace. Seriously, BHVR just kind of does things when they want that's how they roll and that's good for them / awesome for the people who work for them but as a result of that you need to keep your expectations of them low.
I know it's not the best advice but play something else if need be. Find friends to play DBD with. Swf or kyf is incredibly fun and a nice break from the normal tense matches.
I don't have any high expectations. And I do play swf with my bf and some friends. But it still doesn't help. We've even stopped playing the game for awhile, just for a break. And we get back on and 8 matches in a row no escapes. Just bs. It's sad. You spend so much money on a game and for what? Can't even do the story line crap.
-
I find it funny how killer mains complain about this, meanwhile they encourage camping, tunneling and slugging. Swf isn't a problem. Swf isn't in every match. Majority of ppl who play in swf is to complete challenges, playing drunk by daylight or just sh!t an giggles.
Like killers tell survivor mains "get good in countering." Welp get good at killing.

Corrupt Intervention shouldn't be nerfed because of slugging though. The devs should take a look at slugging directly if anything. But slugging is often needed at the moment to slow down games at times, and because of DS.
I think once more maps have been brought to a much more balanced level and/or more killers have been buffed to a viable level, gen times won't be an issue anymore and the devs could and maybe should take a look at how to reduce the slugging's effectiveness a bit.
I rarely see survivors wait it out. Normally they're running and will hop onto a gen I'm doing, assuming it'll allow 4 ppl. Or two will stay with means go to another or two on one gen and two on another. That's how a lot of those matches went for me. And then killer mains complain on fb bout gen rushing.
Even if let's say they don't change the time frame of it, I can agree that if at least one gen is done, it'll go away. Assuming you're not playing with potatoes.
I'm not staying it should be nerfed die to slugging so I'm sorry if I miscommunicated that. I'm simply stating it's too long of a wait time. In my opinion at least. Slugging happens even when killers don't use that perk. While devs won't do anything about slugging because they whole heartily believe it's a strat. An extremely poor strat. Idk what killers you faced, but the killers I faced that did slugging ended the game in 3 min. Making the game unfun and ending far too fast then need be. I've been in many matches where zero gens are done because of it. Most survivors won't go for the save because they're aware of camping, soft camping and sluggers. Like bubba with insidious.
Gen time is only an issue when it's swf with gen rushing perks/items. Just like killers have one shots or perks to help them with end game. Killers complained so much about toolbox; mainly on fb I see this crap on a daily. Killers crying. Especially the new parts, both got nerfed to the group and killer mains still complain bout gens. Survivors can't block killer attacks even when they're several inches away from the pallet/window. In all honesty I would LOVE to see rework on some of the maps like they did with the Drs map. I LOVE IT.

Gen rushing is a problem. It really is. Gens will be going at high ranks whether I'm chasing someone or not, so every second is important. It takes 80 for one gen alone, if only one survivor is on it. Often times they will pile on one while I am chasing someone. And, due to the length of chases, 2-3 gens can often get done before a single down (could be less If I were to play stronger killers though, but they keep getting nerfed).
I might as well as link this vid (below). There is no dialogue. There is just gameplay, but this is typical of high ranks. It's why old ruin was needed (even when I didn't use it).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgRwHwnoXmw&t=117s
This is not uncommon. How can any killer, never mind a mid/high tier one like Huntress, stop gens when they get done like that? Seriously. This is a common occurrence. These days I don't even try to stop gens, I just have endgame builds, because they seem to be the only viable (high rank pipping) ones. Or I just use fun builds, because rank is stupid.
The fact that you will deny genrush either shows you main survivor or you are not at high ranks for killers to really feel the crunch that survivors can put you in.
It's easy to get high in killer ranks with bubba, Michael and hill Billy. Even huntress if you have the one shot mech an slug everyone.
While ranks are dumb, a lot of people do play for it. It makes it more competitive. Though I laugh when killers get less then 25k cause it's obvious they're playing to end fast. And yet complain on fb or boost bout their ranks.
It doesn't show what I main as. It simply means I can think out side of the box instead of highly favouring one over the other. Its not a killer main nor a survivor main based game.

Not all the time. I have a friend I play with and she tends to let me die or brings killer to me. Lol I play with her cause I care bout my friend and sometimes it can be fun helping her. Some swf just fool around of play drunk by daylight. Survivors need to be good to survive.

You don't have to main Freddy to know that his teleport has a cooldown. It's like saying that you don't know that you have to reload Clown's gas bottles.
I never played clown. And while I don't main him, I've only tried him out one time. Either way that topic has nothing to do with this post. X'D

@Trollthem said:
Since survivors go for the gens even when injured, its not worth for the killer to hit and go to the next survivor , so even with 3 gens blocked survivors can still do 4 other gens , and it depends where killer spawn so if he spawn in the middle , its a really bad spawn cuz it will not block those who're next to each others.
But yeah i find this dumb to cry over another perk who counter gen rush , its most likely a bait i assume . If those perks have to be nerf it'll be after gen rush getting nerf.
Oh lord here's another one that believes in gen rushing. This why the toolbox was nerfed. "Gen rushing" only ever happens when survivors are forced to all be together onto one gen. The more people on one gen, the faster it will be completed. So that perk makes it counter productive. Some maps are really big, so it'll take a bit before you're able to find that one. And the only time people spawn by one another is if they use a perk, or just had a lucky load in. But 9/10 the other survivor won't follow you. They'll go another way or stay hiding.
So it's rather funny to see the ignorance. Because it actually encourage players to all be together to do one gen. Especially if they're swf. So I highly doubt it'll get touched up considering that it should be done faster if there's 2 or more on one gen.
-

I don't believe you, given that you didn't know that Freddy's teleport already has a cooldown.
I mean you don't have to?? Lmao I dont main on freddy. Soooo yeah. I have my preferred killers.

@Milo said:
That's the point. That's the risk of running around everywhere. That's why also there are perks to either make you move faster while not running or reduce the time scratch marks stay active. (although this one should get a little buff)
Idk personally I think if the killer isn't around and they're supposed to be stealth mode, it's ok if they're far and looking for a gen
But if the killer isnt near by then why not? Its just a cheap excuse so the killer knows exactly where they're at. Even if they're not by them.
-
I know they did a rework on him last time. So I wasn't able to test him out. Normally I test in custom game to test their abilities. But even playing against him, I personally think he ports way too fast between gens.

It's really not. Two minutes is just fine. Sounds like either you and your teammates suck at looping/hiding or you're going up against Killers who are willing to pull out all the stops to win ASAP. What rank are you?
Lol I don't suck at looping, nor does the teammates I've played with in red ranks. Im normally rank one. But every now and then I like to depip and fool around to make the game more fun. I've played with toxic killers and survivors. Where survivors expose where you're hiding or killers that tunnel, camp or slug. The whole point is to decrease slugging. If 3 gens are taken, other three you'll have to run and find; chances are some survivors will wait it out and hide. Or the killers straight up slug because chances are 2 or 3 out of 4 survivors will be on that one gen.

I remember first seeing David and falling in love as soon as I laid eyes on him when I bought the game then I looked at his perks and realize that he's is very f*cking useless (cept for dead hard don't come for me.) so here's my idea.
How about the first time you get unhooked, no mither activates and if you happen to get downed you can recover back to the injured state however you will be broken and have to wait it out but your grunts of pain are reduced to 50% and you leave no blood trails then after the broken status wears off no mither is deactivated for the remainder of the match.
PS: This perk has been sitting in the armory for a good maybe (insert how many years it's been since david and huntress have been out) and it's been collecting dust ever since also it's very annoying how this perk cancels out other perks that allow you to heal yourself devs please help my baby get the respect he deserves. <3
I agree 100%!!! I was just talking to my friend about this. Something similar. Like he enters injured 10sec locked and then can heal after. Or complete one gen and then be able to heal. I've been in a lot of matches where people use that perk and die off the bat. Makes the game less challenging.
-
I agree 100%. I play both sides and personally it's easy to find survivors simply because the scratch marks last for a good minute. Lol

Not everyone plays in swf though. Some people are just good. I've gotten msg from killers saying good teamwork with your swf and I'd flat out state I wasn't in one. 9/10 I'm playing solo. Swf isn't a problem, it's just that some people are good and some aren't.

I don't think it should be a perk. Though it would make a really nice game play over all. As survivors drop, the entity makes it more challenging/interesting. After all its one big game to the entity.

Wiggle isnt made for that tho. Its a "dont bring me to basement all the time" mechanic.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1118704#Comment_1118704
And i hate people that dont wiggle if me or/and my team can save you
Lmao how can you or a team help??? Body block, get hit twice an go down? There's still too many hooks. By the time you go down an I keep wiggling, I'll be hooked. Wiggle time is too long compared to how nearby the hooks. Also not everyone stays nearby. They run across the map when a killer is near and downs someone. And then take their time to go unhook. Point being, you or team mate can't save someone when there's a hook so close by and wiggle takes time.
-
@Dad said:
I play killer mostly (I'm not going to say killer main, because I do play survivor a lot), but I do agree with this sentiment.
It's VERY easy to find a hook 99% of the time. I feel like the wiggle mechanic is almost worthless minus giving you a few extra points.
Iron Grasp is a joke because it's unnecessary and just taking up a perk slot in the perk trunk.
I mostly play as survivor. I enjoy the run around. I wish they gave points for even wiggling. But I agree, it's useless when there's a hook right there. And when a killer has iron grasp, 9/10 they drag us to the basement and then camp or soft camp the area just to lure then in.
Most of the time I don't even bother with wiggle because of it. Lol
-
@kidmaxx said:
The point? Because for most (non-toxic) players it ruins the game for everyone when you DC. Survivors most certainly lose, killer probably won't pip. It becomes pointless. So, DC penalties exist to prevent people (like you) who frequently leave from ruining the game for others.
Actually no, I've been in games where ppl DC and we still win. It depends on how stealthy the person is and how good at coordinating with others. And if one is good at giving the killer a run around or distractions. It's easier for a killer to rack up points compared to survivors.
-
@TAG said:

Not everything needs to be "One for Killers, One for Survivors.
Also, how is "Killer can see the wiggle meter" an equivalent change to "Killers can't see scratch marks" or "Survivors can see who the Killer is in the lobby" or "make DS base kit?" Like, jeez. Way to completely go off base.
It seems like there's a handful for killer and more need for survivors. They should put in equal works to both parties since it is asymmetrical base game.
They're all things that can be implemented into the game. After all scratch marks are for when killers are chasing a survivor. And also reread that as I stated killer shouldn't be able to see scratch marks unless nearby survivors. Scratch marks last up to 5 second especially if a killer has a perk to make it last longer. So if a survivor is running to a gen and it's lasting that long, it's unfair. Especially if the killer is all the way across the map. Its not off base when it's all just things that can be implemented. Just like wiggle bar can be implemented.
Its a discussion and so I am discussing several things that could be implemented.
-
DC should be removed. Having the penalty isn't making the game fun. Maybe for the trolling killers that get some sick mental pleasure out of it all. Lol in all honesty I think they game should have a release form before ppl buy it to make sure they're mentally sane to even game as killer.
-
Personally I think they should remove the dc. I have a 6 hr wait because I dced from a toxic killer. All it's doing is encouraging toxic game play, and losing players. as it is, it's getting harder to pip up because of such toxic game play. It's to the point survivors don't wanna save other survivors. I've been in several games where there's zero gens done, everyone's on 2nd hook and hiding. If you want a game to thrive, it seems pretty counter productive to have a ban. Which hey, 6 hrs? Ok I'll go play some black ops or maybe some Witcher. Lmao
-
No. I mean it would be nice to see who the killer is before the game but that won't ever happen. Lol or don't let killer see scratch marks unless they're close to survivors. As it is, a survivor can run while a killer walks and still catches a survivor, which honestly doesn't make sense. Its like there's an invisible lasso around the survivor as they're being drawn back to the killer.
Or if they did that, speed up the wiggle when killer has mad grit. Or remove decisive strike as a perk and make it as a passive ability for all survivors.
Personally it seems like theyve been doing a lot for the killers, buffing up wise. Which is starting to make the game more and more unbalanced.
If they do one they should do for the other as well. Since they go hand in hand.
