Just let them hook you and move on to the next game ????

Eitherway I seriously doubt there's been an increase in killers camping/tunnelling you.

    Just another serial dcer whining.

Lmao I see it happen 8/10 of my matches. I don't whine I'm simply stating for the general. I see people talk about it on FB as well and share videos of campers, tunneling And slugging. And yeah there has been a significant amount of toxicity increase.

Normally I don't DC. With a ban or not it won't stop me from dcing. Especially when there's a toxic killer not allowing anyone to game. No point in it. Lmao it'll just encourage me to play another game as it has been for many others.

    So nice try.

    Absolutely and completely disagree.

Every problem you listed is a skill based issue. "Slug and soft camp, camp" these are counterable by first identifying it, playing objective, using the correct perks to counter and most importantly be willing to trade yourself for the hooked person who may be about to enter struggle state or death.

First off, slugging can be dealt with a number of perks but more specifically, Unbreakable. Camping is dealt with by pushing gens while someone waits for the opportunity to take the trade on the hook before a hook phase ends. Taking Kindred will help massively if you are a solo player or even in a swf, I run this every game as survivor as it's an S tier perk with the amount of information you get off this alone.

Trading yourself for the hooked teammate before their struggle state is an advantageous play. If you have BT this can help massively if the rescued player can take the hit in protection of the rescuer and can even body block the hook if the killer picks up the rescuer instantly.

If the killer is sitting very close to the hook they are most likely looking for a grab in that case and you need to get to hook about half way before the hook phase end state and keep feinting the rescue animation, just keep doing it constantly until he hits you as he will be pressured in that situation and then take the rescue. Don't go over the half way point of the progress bar and you wont be grabbed.

If the killer is slugging during the end game when all survivors are down and not finishing it this a game hostage situation which should be recorded, reported in-game (put your name in the report) and then sent to bhvr customer support service (including your name again to trace) using their player report under ticket support service on their site.

They are NOT skilled based. Slugging, tunneling and camping is a cheap way to end game fast. Yeah I can be identified, it's obvious as hell. How can anyone play and complete objective when the killer keeps coming by every min? There isn't even a trade yourself for them. Lol point for a survivor is to survive as a killer is to kill. Camping, tunneling and slugging is just a cheap and toxic way of going bout it this making the game less fun. Which is why people leave.

The other massive problem is, there's way too many hooks. There's one like a feet away from the other an so fourth. There's no need. I never go to the half way mark, and they still grab me off. Lol

I do report. But the main issue is when they slug in the beginning, zero gens done. I see it more in the beginning then in the end. Last night I did have a match where end game all was slugged. He soft camped and stood by his noed.

  • @Fibijean said:

Camping and tunneling aren't toxic, they're strategies. Just not particularly fun strategies.

And it's not true that penalising something doesn't disincentivise people from doing it, nor should we neglect to punish people for doing the wrong thing just because some people will do it anyway. Imagine if we applied that logic to laws in real life.

Camping and tunneling aren't strategies. They're cheap ways of getting high points and beating the game faster. Which 9/10 the killer walks away with 13k.

And this isn't real life it's a game. Lmao It's one thing of you're cheating and another when you're trying to have a fair match but can't because you keep getting toxic killers. It draws people away in the end which loses customer/gamers.

I understand, and somewhat, but not totally, agree. Come play to ps4 sometime, that's where the hood is

Pft even on the PS4 there's toxic players. :P survivors and killers. I still DC and don't give a hell. X'D

  • Pop goes the weasel. Its there for a reason. Also the new ruin works great as it regresses gens when you're near the survivor. They have no other choice but to step away from the gen. Luckily not every survivor goes around looking for totems. I don't see a problem with gen tapping. If you kick and leave and come back in 5 sec to it being tapped, then look for the survivor(s). It means they're staying nearby. And if you keep going back to kick it and can't find anyone, move on, chances are you're being trolled and distracted to the one gen while the others complete the other gens.

  • @I_Face_Camp said:

Yea let's nerf killers, even bad killers like Bubba even more into the ground! Then our survivor queues will take even longer because more killer players will drop off!! Sounds like a great idea

Actually it won't lol survivors que already take long. But that's due to the rank system. None the less they're not tanked to the ground. I've played both sides. It's easy to end a match in 2 min just by slugging ppl with a one shot mech.

And while yes ppl can use lights and disarm traps, they still don't need infinite amounts. While someone can use a light to removed 6x of her traps, she can still "soft camp" still making it nearly impossible to save anyone. Not everyone likes to carry a flash light. Not to mention if you're the only survivor alive. 9/10 I see trappers patrolling and leaving traps in front of the door handle. If you disarm the trap he will approach. Since the doors are so close to one another and he can hear when it goes off. Making it unfair chance for a survivor to escape.

I personally never carry anything in any match. I prefer looking into chests and I'm usually in stealth mode anyways. So I'm talking more so for the general. Sorry if some killer main get too hurt and wanna whine instead of actually having a civil discussion.

  • @Zagrid said:

Survivors not healing under hooks, doing gens while injured, actually making safe saves. Its like overnight since the patch every survivor I have faced was like. OH YEAH this is how we win, and this is how we play good and every game has been impossible without playing super sweaty or using a high tier killer like spirit.

And before you make that comment "GeN rUsHiNg IsNt A tHiNg" It is, and basically it just means survivors are treating just like their main objective. What is surprising for most survivor mains to realize is not every game do survivors treat gets and their main objective, especially with the archives, they either have their own mission or before the archives they just played to mess around with the killer or just to get chased by the killer. Countless games I can count survivors ignored gens and that is the reason why killers are actually good.

When survivors actually treat the game as step 1 do gens, step 2 escape. Not only does that make all but 4 killers viable without some insane add ons and/or a mori it makes the game un fun for both side.

Killer side: You got gen rushed, maybe killed 1 person at the end because they were abandoned or you had to camp them out. Yay, you did like 3 chases the whole game.

Survivors side: You either were the survivor who got abandoned/camped or you held M1 and left. Yay... fun...

This is why DbD is fundamentally broken and survivor sided if survivors actually treat the game the way its "meant to be played".

If you are a killer main in this struggling time, I suggest if you want to play and actually win, use spirit or billy with some ok to good add ons. If you want to play any other killer, bring a mori and sweat your balls off.

If you are a survivor main, ask yourself if you are actually having fun in your games, whether if holding m1 and leaving is really good gameplay, if you don't think it is fun, come join the killers in complaining about the game to maybe 1 day have BHVR actually make gens fun and make the gameplay compelling, if you don't want to do that, start messing around. Find the killer and loop with them, play around with the other survivors, do some archive stuff, just do literally anything other than find gen, hold m1, finish gen, repeat till gens are all done, then leave. Its boring for both sides when survivors play like this (Which proves that survivors are the real power role of the game)

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk, I look forward to reading all the wonderful respectful non bias comments.

Typical killer complaining and whining about survivors "gen rushing". Meanwhile killers can slug, camp, use traps ect. Killers are more op. A gen is done fast when a whole team is on especially if they all have tool boxes. Which I find it unrealistic for that to be in every match. There isn't always great coordination and no not everyone plays in swf. I play solo all the time. And maybe 10% of the time I'll have maybe a 2nd person hop on a gen with me.

Survivors main and only objective is to survive. Be it as a team or alone. And to do that gens NEED to get done. Its not always easy when other survivors bring a killer near or when a killer keeps going back to the same gen. We get crows over our head if we stand for longer then 10 sec or so in one spot. Giving us away instantly. And it's not like the hatch is always there.

The game isn't souly to revolve around the killer. Its survive or be killed. Not bend to the cry baby killers will and die for his pleasure. With a mentality like that is what makes the game not fun. Because then they need the survivors to the group, killers get zero penalty. It's hard to even get a pip as a survivor. Hell you'd be lucky to get a safety pip. BTW you can only get "gen rushed" if you're tunneling the one person....soooo isn't that your own fault?

It's an Asymetric game, each side does different things.

    Survivors can't attack a Killer.

    But Killer's can't repair a generator.

I get that. But regardless killer has more advantages. Aside from undoing gen work, having attacks and traps, they also have perks to do one shots, slow gens ECT.

What I think should also happen is, if a killer is going to camp around their hexs, they have the entity blind the killer.

It literally punishes you for genrushing mate, what are you talking about.

Do the secondary objective (ie Totems) and you wont get punished.

Totems isn't a 2nd object. And there is no gen rushing. Yes a gen can be done fast if there's two or more on one gen. There's 5 gens.

You can't get useful data from an incomplete poll. Even if people vote on it the yes's are meaningless if there wasn't a no option listed.

And there is a no option, there always is. You didn't list it but all opinions on the topic are valid regardless of if you are keeping track of them or not.

You can't stop people from disagreeing with you and attempting to make a badly written poll to try is futile.

@Phoenix_Wright add 1 to your no count plz.

If there was a no option I would have put that. Clearly it's not there so no there is no no option.

It's not a badly written poll. Yeah people can agree to disagree. But the majority are being extremely rude for no reason which is sad and childish. Lol this is to encourage those that feel other wise. It's obvious that people that like noed will say no. But it's not for that. It's for people to express why it should be.

  • @Fibijean said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/753653#Comment_753653

The survivors are being heard. I'm a survivor. Half the people who've said no on this thread are survivor mains. We just happen to recognise that killers are allowed to have powerful strategies too and shouldn't be crippled for no good reason.

I doubt that they all are.

Either way my poll is what it is. There are others that feel differently and should be able to speak up without others having to be rude or harsh. There's a lot of survivors that use small game. We aren't stupid. There's also survivors that play with others and not everyone does totems. I see noed being used a lot in higher ranks. I run around doing all totems. The game isn't for survivors to always lose on favor of the killer. It's supposed to be balanced. Survivors can't attack a killer. Killers can attack, use traps ect. Survivors don't get traps. Instead they get nerfed to the ground. Now they nerfed insta heal because killers get mad that they heal before they get out down.

  • If you're not going to vote on what's listed, then don't bother trying to put a "no" vote just because you feel a type of way. This isn't to encourage toxic killers. This is for people who genuinely feel this perk needs either a rework or removal. If you want to vote for no, go vote on the other poll that was clearly made by someone who's upset by my poll. Lol

  • @Gibberish said:

NOED is literally just a anti-genrush perk. It's fine. Break the totems.

Its not an anti gen rush. Lol noed doesn't stop rushing. It encourages slugging for the end game. X'D

  • @Raven014 said:

No. Not every killer has a one shot, and those that do either have to use their ability (which is weak like Bubba and GF), or addons (Huntress and Clown). Getting rid of NOED does two things:

    1. Encourages toxic SWFs to be more toxic at endgame.
    2. People to pick certain killers even more than they already do.

NOED is a safety net perk. Not just to get used to a killer, but also to try new things and rely on it if it fails. It's already weak in the fact it's a hex that, under the current game, has no reason to remain intact if a survivor sees it.

There's more toxic killers then there are swf. Which I don't see a lot of swf. I don't even okay in swf. Once in awhile I see ppl in FB group asking and not everyone joins. It doesn't encourage anything. It makes things more fair for all players in my opinion. Noed is over kill.

  • @Phoenix_Wright said:

I'm going to add the "No" votes in since there's no option.

    No 74% 17 votes

Lmao there is no "no" option. Deal with it. Don't like the poll, there is such a thing as ignore. There is no 74% when you don't hear the survivors side. I see a lot of survivors talk about it. And for the millionth time, I always run around doing totems while others don't.

  • I don't find it as much fun as when I first started. Survivors keep getting nerfed to the ground. Killers keep getting buffs and reworks. Survivors don't always play in swf yet alone team work. And plenty of killers I've played against tend to camp either in front, surrounding area of hook/hex/ruin. Yeah I get it there's perks we can use, but we can only have 4. We keep getting told "well use this, use that. Ops well you should have used the other thing."

I even played with killers that DC once I find the ruin. Or they DC once we open the doors.

  • @Cpt_Vunderbar said:

NOED should be left alone and remain as is.

Survivors have countermeasures to NOED. It's called breaking the totems. Having trouble finding them ? Survivors have a countermeasure for that too. It's called Small Game.

I know, I know, Survivors can't possibly have fun unless the Killers are reduced to a punching bag that they can flashlight stun, teabag, pallet stun, loop, and gen rush into oblivion.

Here's some food for thought though. If you keep nerfing killers, you won't have a game left, because Killers will be nonexistent. Survivors are a dime a dozen and outnumber Killers 4 to 1. Keep asking for nerfs to killers and you'll run out of players to bully.

As I stated above, small game also reacts to traps. If they're going to keep nerfing survivors, their perks and items then they should do the same to the killers such as noed. Survivors get nerfed more then killers do in my opinion. And significantly. While it's 4 to 1 killer, killer can still one shot survivors WITHOUT having to use any perks. Survivors get a 4% to get unhooked on their own. None the less now they're changing insta heal because killers keep complaining about it. So the moment someone says otherwise on noed, there's a problem?

Killers are a dime a dozen too. It's easier to find killers then a group of survivors. Many times in waiting endlessly in a lobby with a killer.

  • @PolarBear said:

    Where's the "No" option?

There is no "no" option because there shouldn't be. This is mainly for people who feel/view otherwise. To express without the fear of getting harassed by killers who feel so strong to keep it when they in fact don't need it.

  • @Irvin said:

I completely understand your frustration when it comes to 1 shot downs and I agree it is a little bit over powered and some things could be reworked but as for NOED it is very much counter able but you don't see it as often the higher you climb in ranks. If you are really concerned about it however then I suggest that you personally ensure all totems have been cleansed. Either by bringing perks such as Small Game / Detectives Hunch or you could bring a Rainbow Map / Map with Red Twine.

I've played with some of the higher ranks. As well as my brother being rank 1. He would see it often being used as well as ruin. Yeah it can be countered. But not everyone goes looking for those totem especially when the killer downs one, and then just runs around slugging everyone. I use small game. I am usually the only one running around getting totems and I'm at rank 8. But it still doesn't help when you have killers camping by their hexs. Plus other traps also triggers your small game. I dont use the map much since I normally play king and either carry a tool box or med kits for others.

  • @Lambda said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/750787#Comment_750787

Well if it's a 4 Man SWF the person being chased would be the runner, the person who's job is to keep the killer away from the generator people for as long as possible, and even if the killer puts two and two together and thinks "Hmm maybe I shouldn't really chase this guy around anymore I should look for gens" the generators would've probably already repaired by then because of the speed boost they get

But the thing is, if they stop due to the killer getting near, it'll go back down. Killer should also kick the Gen since it'll also make them have to redo it. I get that pop goes the weasel only activates when you hook someone. Or what they can do is, if someone has a purple tool box, to work it faster? In all honesty I think that'll be fair.

  • @Ark_the_Bonsai said:

nah, it's fine as is. I do really think there should be a totem counter in the game though

I think it's op personally. Especially when killer already has one shot attacks like the chain saw, head traps and head shot hatchets that all insta down.

Though I do think it'll benefit greatly to have a Totem counter that'll count down after each gets removed. Or at least highlight the totem when you have small game and you're near it.

  • @Malkraz said:

    no

So survivors should get nerfed to the ground, making the game completely unfair? What will happen when there's no longer survivors to play because the killers are all op with perks and attacks?

  • @SquidFacedMan said:

No Mither should activate after you have been injured by the killer. The player should start the game with full health state until injured, this would make running the perk less obvious.

I agree 100%. Or at least let it be able to heal after 5 sec in game rather then it being permanent.

  • @Lambda said:

Hmm okay but what if 4 Man SWF, 1 guy keeps running killer around and the other 3 work on individual gens with no interruptions

    Omega speed gens

Personally, that'll be the killers fault for continuously chasing the one person. That's called tunneling.
