They seem cool and all, but I really think they are a bad thing to implement.
killers already have so much on their plate, adding a secondary objective for them would only make things worse. If anything, survivors need a secondary objective, not the other way around.

I've seen 2 hackers in all my time on DBD, people are eager to throw out accusations when a lot of the time it's either lag or a perk that could be mistaken for cheating (like Second Wind)
I'm pretty sure a teleporting steve hooking himself in air is a cheating steve.

Yet mods that change the music/sound effects or mods of skins are NOT ALLOWED Lol. Unfortunate because a well made mod could keep the game fresh. There was a mod I wanted to use that replaced the pallet stun with the taco bell ding. Like c'mon regardless of if Im winning or losing the match that would have been hilarious.
People were using those mods to cheat iir

There is no hacking problem
There are as many hackers in this game as any other multiplayer game
Gonna have to disagree with that. About a year and a half ago, iirc, there was little to no cheating. The first 3 years I played this game, there were was 1 cheater I ran into. There have been two major surges in cheating, these past two weeks, and a few months ago.
This game used to have almost no cheaters in it, then there was suddenly cheaters everywhere.
It is frustrating to know that the anti-cheat for this game is not what it used to be.

Literally any fricking killer that is not a licensed one, even better no killer. How about fixing the game? We already have plenty of killers and especially licensed ones to last us a while, do we really need more? It would also just make people forget about how BHVR continues to ignore so many ongoing problems.
-
Seriously? And what other aspects of gameplay do you mean exactly? Looping is literally the most interactive thing a survivor can do with a killer
-
We have enough killers to have a chapter fully dedicated to fixing the game starting with optimization. There are already plenty of killers to choose from along with enough maps to last people a while without any real content.
-
No, and I am not going to be blinded by the fact that they brought in another iconic licensed character, especially when the game is this unstable for console players.
-
strong chase potential
Wraith only does good in a chase if the survivors are a little boosted and is at certain loops.

I would still play the game, but it would be like drinking warm water.

Yeah, forgot about the other one

@GrimoireWeiss said:
You're wrong to think All Seeing Blood doesn't help in chases. It nullifies any kind of mindgame the survivor can do during the uncloaking period on high wall loops. Just imagine you're at shack or a jungle gym uncloaking behind a wall, the survivor doesn't want to risk the 50/50 of being hit with the super lunge, so he leaves the loop. The Wraith without All Seeing will not be able to notice that until he finishes uncloaking and goes behind the all, but the one that has the addon will.
I did mention how it can be used in some instances like that, but it can easily be avoided if the survivor positions themselves correctly.
-
This is currently happening to me, I upset some cheater the other day and now they feel that they need to scare me.
It didn't work though, because this has happened before and I nothing happened to me.

That would be pretty sweet to have!
I would have went with giving him a "jazz hands" emote kind of like what he does when he catches someone in a locker.

But I think this would be better if he can use it in a chase
lol, I think it could also be cool if you see him get startled when finding a survivor in a locker while cowardly stabbing them before picking them out

I don't like to nitpick but this might confuse some peeps, i know for certain it would confuse me on one of my less-good days. 😜
Anyway @Yords, have you ever tried "All Seeing" - Spirit on a "Pressure the Generators" build?
First of all you can abbreviate that Add-on to ASS, which is awesome. (I wonder if it'll censor it, i can't see it as i write this.)
Secondly i'm liking it more and more which is weird.
I've always preferred more Power Perks, like Make Your Choice, Devour Hope, Brutal Strength, stuff like that.
But having multiple Generators go pop with Surge, Eruption & Oppression, IDK it feels very nice.
And because of ASS, i know with a simple cloak where those Perks are needed the most.
I don't think I have, if I wanted to pressure gens as wraith I would use the ultra rare for tracking gens and probably a windstorm addon.
-
It is part of the game
-
I remember one person saying that Ghostface could have one where he waves at another survivor when chasing someone else
-
Baby dwights and lockers.
-
A meta build for him looks like this:
- STBFL (his best perk)
- Agitation
- Starstruck
- BBQ
Agitation + starstruck is insanely strong, especially on maps that are small. Also a good combo on Wraith.

My problem is both wraith’s bringing indoor map offerings and how it compares to similar add ons (Amanda’s letter and scratched mirror specifically).
It’s just too strong to warrant not having a downside/cooldown etc
I would disagree, at least on the part where it should have a downside.
If you want to play Wraith against good survivors, you need to start using good addons such as the all-seeing one, or bone clapper. Without addons you will struggle against better survivors.
With the new SBMM system coming up, you should also expect to see better survivors since it seems that this new one does its job better than all the other ones.
-
The man, the myth, the legend Mathiew cote himself of course, seems like they did a pretty good job here.

The reason why I think having the instant regression scale with number of gens, is that it could be very oppressive in a 3 gen situation. Survivors are rightfully trying to get back on gens as quickly as possible, and if you could very quickly kick a gen 3-4 times in quick succession due to survivors tapping them, it's basically a free Pop Goes The Weasel.
1% at a 3 gen scenario would still be enough to warrant kicking a gen without a kick perk I feel.
Plus this way provides more gen pressure in the early game, which is where you really want most of your gen pressure. You want to delay those first couple gens being repaired for as long as possible.
I disagree, I think that 1% would be way too little and I think that the end game should be more intense. The killer should be at their strongest towards the end of a match and I think my idea would work well. A 3 gen scenario can be avoided as long as the survivors pay attention.
I also think that early game generators should go by quicker since it gives survivors a chance to split up on generators, I think that it is okay if the survivors complete 2 generators within 4-5 minutes of a game because that is expected at the early stages of a match.
-
@Seraphor said:
While I agree that base regression is so little that it doesn't make it worth it to kick gens most of the time, simply increasing base regression could cause problems for other methods of triggering regression, such as Surge, Eruptions, Oppression, etc. Plus when combined with Pop's 25% instant regression, just 30 or so seconds of pressure could completely deplete that generator.
Something a bit more graduated would be better I think:
- Kicking a generator applies a % of regression equal to the number of generators yet to be repaired. e.g. at the start of the game, kicking a gen has 5% instant regression, and at the last gen, 1% instant regression.
- The first 15 seconds of regression after kicking is at .5c/s, after 15s it slows to .25c/s. (basically Ruin speed for first 15s)
This provides more up-front regression, and instantly rewards you for the kicking action, and would do two things to player behaviour:
- Survivors would be incentivised to halt regression within 15 seconds.
- Killers would be incentivised to 'guard' a gen for 15s, and if a survivor jumps back on it to 'tap' it, then they get to kick it again for more instant regression.
Which I feel would open up more strategic gen defence plays, and add more risk/reward elements to it.
It would make more sense to always have a 5% instant regression penalty when kicking a generator and to bump up the regression rate to 150% at base. It wouldn't be too strong either since the counterplay would be to spread out on generators.
Ruin would still be a great perk and would be a sort of extension to the killer's abilities.
-
It looks bad, but I guarantee you that it is more fair. It sucks to be hit through a pallet from the survivor side.
-
I think it is because people don't like how her power works and don't know how it does either. Coupled with the fact that her puke is so incredibly inconsistent at times.

Bricking a console or PC basically means you can't use it anymore. Microsoft and Sony Brick consoles that have been Jail breaked (modded) so they can't access the online features ever again. Now when I say bricked I mean kind of like what overwatch does. Where if one profiles gets banned for cheating the whole PC can never play overwatch again. I think it was overwatch anyways
Oh ok thanks

I only watched video 1-4
your first problem is that you are not infecting all the survivors quickly at the start of the trial. Plague in particular starts off as very weak m1 killer. you need get your fountain online as fast as possible or at least put everyone into broken state as quickly as possible. it is how you get your time efficiency as her. you cut chases short by destroying health states quickly and instant down everyone or by using your corrupt puke at loops.
The reason why you lost game 1 but won in game 2 is because in game 2, you found everyone immediately and infected everyone which as consequence made survivors broken very early into the match. the survivor choose to cleanse, so the chases were super easy because you got to spam corrupt puke.
In game 1, you didn't do this and only happen to use corrupt puke once. by 3rd gen complete, you only had one person infected until unhook happened. ideally, you want infect everyone at 5 gens.
your second problem is that your mechanic aim for infecting a survivor out of position is very poor. For example Adam at the start was out of position. If you fully charge your vile vommit, plague at base-kit has exact amount of "orb" projectiles to fully infect a survivor from healthy to injured(broken). I forgot how many ticks it is, but I believe it is like 6 ticks.
I am not entirely sure how to explain this but plague's side animations for puke are purely cosmetic. There is center line in the middle of green puke that shoots out in the middle of the screen. These are orb projectiles that you need to hit to fully infect a survivor. If your really bad at this, you can use Vile enemic(?) add-ons that increase vile puke infection rate. Overall, it is better to practice your tracking skill so you do not rely on add-ons, however these add-on can help you at beginning to ease learning curve at the start. You should also work on your corrupt puke accuracy. You really should not be missing corrupt puke on survivors that are out in the open at all.
Time efficiency is super important on killer especially when your facing efficient teams in game 1 and game 4.
in game 4, Chasing Steve at 3:34 is a mistake. he has relatively safe pallet and when he was going in main building. you should have broken off that chase and went to defend hook to slug the Dwight. Even if you catch Steve, it will be too much of time waste. If Steve used dead hard for distance, he would made it to the shack window easily.
This leads to my last point. When plague does not have corrupt puke from no one cleansing, you need capitalize off deadzones (like T-L wall, jungle gym pallet you broke) to slug survivors for map pressure. Basic m1 killers are really easy to loop. you need to capitalize off survivors mistakes and focus more on positional play.
The play you needed to make is to slug Dwight and fully infect Claudette into a m1 down on the unhook play that survivors just did. After that, you hook Claudette and you try defend the hook while Dwight is slugged. Since everyone is broken, those players either have to trade hooks or cleanse and give you your corrupt puke.
When plague acquires corrupt puke, her chase game is pretty strong, so you can play the chase-hook game very easily and be very aggressive at chases. when you do not have corrupt puke, you need to rely on slugging and focus on creating deadzones to try to manufacture lose/lose situations for survivor so that they cleanse so you get your strong chase power.
Hopefully this helps improve your plague gameplay.
I know my corrupt purge game is not the best, I think I just need to move my mouse more, I am instead relying on my A and D key which might explain why I miss those shots.
But thanks for the review and it does help.

Okay, honestly I don't have much else to say. You're a good Plague, and I can absolutely see the logic behind most of your decisions. It's just the needing to concentrate your purge better is the problem I can see, which is by no means an easy feat given how chaotic Plague became after dedicated servers.
Well thank you very much for your time. <3

I think you’re pretty decent with Plague from what I’ve watched. Seems like you understand the arc and the timings of her vomit. There are a few things I want to point out though.
So in the Ormond game, I’ve noticed the long commitment to Adam. It was a smart decision to try to fully infect him and get the early down and as MadLordJack said, you need to try to land more of the vile purge. He made it to a safe area and in that situation after I can’t land enough vile purge on him, I would’ve not committed to him for that long as I would’ve tried to infect more survivors and spread out the pressure at the beginning. It wasn’t a bad decision to keep chasing the Adam but it’s something to keep in mind that especially with Plague, keeping everyone pressured and in this case, infected, would’ve been better for the later game, especially since you’re not running any perks.
Also, I’ve noticed this a few times and this is something a lot of Plagues including myself do. There were times when you would fully charge your vomit and hold it. When survivors are going around corners and loops you will end up finding yourself wasting time. It’s best to charge it a little bit and let out quick vomit before they can round a corner. If they’re in an open field then it’s more plausible to charge it for a bit longer.
I think your decision making on when to drink from your fountains were good. I’ve noticed that there were times when you drank from a fountain even when you’re power was still a third of the way which may sound like the wrong play but in those situations that I watched, they were good times to use them. The reason that is is because you drank from fountains that were in a hard-to-access corner of the map right after hooking a survivor or patrolling a generator in that area. It’s not good to drink from fountains that are easily accessed in the middle while you still have a bit of power left because it’s almost a waste of that fountain.
I hope I was helpful as I do play Plague a lot and also still trying to improve with her. Good luck in your next games!
thanks, gl to you too

I have been summoned by that holiest of cow lords @GoodBoyKaru !
Okay, so I watched the first trial and I'm going to be completely, brutally honest about the loss. It boils down to 2 giant reasons: Needing mecha iCal skill practice, and Push E To Outplay. And you can't exactly do much about that one.
At the beginning, when you were chasing Adam (I think...?) you had more than enough time to fully infect him before he got to the pallet. If you had landed more Vile Purge on him, he would have gone down and been fully Infected, ready to spread infection to everyone else. That's the biggest problem I saw. That one down could have shifted the entire game, and from what I saw you absolutely know how to capitalise on that, even as Plague.
The rest, it was perfectly reasonable decision making, it's just that you were going against a co-ordinated team (you were never going to win, sorry, that's just DbD and you had no perks) and literally every time Dead Hard happened you switched to someone else with the exact same perk that screwed you the exact same way. In fact, that match was a good case for why I hate it, but right now the only thing you can do is just never switch targets. Dead Hard thrives on juggling.
The other sticking point was when you were chasing Laurie around the big snow plow thingy. You also had enough time there to fully infect her instead of going for the pallet hit, which would have been arguably more valuable.
I'll watch the others in a bit and report on what I saw!
cool thx, I am currently reporting two cheaters, so I will be back in about an hour lol

The devs explained that only parts of Plague's vomit stream actually infect people. There are certain globs that apply the sickness, and then there are other globs that tie the stream together so it doesn't look like a bunch of orbs shooting out of her mouth.
Why they decided this was the better option instead of making the entire vomit stream infect people I will never understand.
I know that, but last night I literally hit them with a decently sized stream of vomit and they did not even get infected. There was no way that I could have missed that and I did. I even filled up my vomit bar at least over 1/4th. I am going to have to assume it was latency lol

Just like any new release in the game, there are bugs and balance issues. This does not surprise anyone at all, and should not be a shock. Learning the counter play and style of the unique killers and how their perks and abilities work, in my opinion, takes about a month after full release for people to get familiar with the gameplay (Both from survivor and killer perspectives)
I've been following this game since Huntress released in 2017 and this game has come a far distance to where it was. Perfect? No where near, but the DbD team is large and trying to make the game work for everyone. I personally will probably hold off on buying the DLC because Im not a killer main but I will get it once Im ready for his teachables.
By the time I choose to buy the DLC balance changes will have been made, like they usually are for new releases about 1 month after full launch. At the end of the day, I enjoy the content release and will choose to buy what I want with my money. Sometimes new killers are underwhelming on release and have several bugs, but after a while Its another killer that brings something interesting to the game
...but the DbD team is large and trying to make the game work for everyone...
It took them years to bring out a colorblind mode for the game and they only did it because it became a huge issue that everyone was complaining about
They then said that they were "working on it for a while now"
