Why did they choose the building over the streets again?
-
I still try my best and if all fails, then eh, I move on to the next game.

There are plenty of other killers were ruin/undying/tinkerer can be extremely effective but you still don't see it nearly as much as on Blight players, which is basically every other Blight, and that's me underestimating there.
To reiterate, the issue is not about the perks itself. Everyone knows they're strong, everyone knows why it's used and that it's effective on Blight. What people don't understand is why 90% of Blight players use it as if it's the only perks available for him, but you don't see killers with similar compatibility with those perks using them also.
Like I legitimately want that question answered. Why do Blight players run that build so much and why don't players of other killers use that same build when it's similarly as effective?
I think it is because it is a build that allows you to play Blight, a killer with already fun gameplay, without the stress of having to deal with generators. Think about it, most players are meh or decent with Blight and usually lose generators in the process of chasing people with a hard to use power (a power with a high skill cap).
Using perks like ruin, undying, and tinkerer make it very simple and easy to slow the game down, you just play Blight. And of course BBQ for obvious reasons. If you used pgtw though, that would lose you time on initially starting a chase and make it harder. If you used CI, then you would have slowdown, but only for 2 minutes and it does not regress generators and survivors are likely to just work on other generators.
Ruin is also just satisfying to see in action as well, generators regressing without you doing anything other than scaring survivors off of generators which is your job as killer.
So in essence, it allows Blight players to learn how to play him while not carrying the stress of average killer games. At least that is my take on it.

"Why would you even use anything else if this build has everything you need?" For the same reason people don't play Doom on easy.
If you want to run it, that's okay, but don't act like winning with this build is impressive against anything that isn't a 4man SWF. It's the equivalent of a survivor using a Haddonfield offering, so I hope you're not one of those that complain about that.
Not everyone who isn't a 4-man is as helpless as you'd think. And I would consider Haddonfield to be impossible to win as any average killer if the survivors are good, even a solo group can beat a Blight with this setup.

But you wouldnt know if a Myers is running it until is someone already dead,& if it happens early well Rip your chances of winning
You can actually, his left hand is shown to be more relaxed and open when he is using a tombstone. Otherwise it is just a close fist iirc.

There is a reason. Ruin Undying is overrated.

No one is questioning that the build is effective in general, let alone on Blight. People don't like it specifically because 90% of Blight players use that and you see pretty much no other killer use it. The exception is a similar build on Twins but they have actual compatibility issues with perks, meaning regression ones like Pop are extremely ineffective and debilitating to play them effectively. Blight can use a variety of alternatives like corrupt, pop, thana, etc. but no, it's only ruin undying tinkerer. And it makes going against Blight unpleasant, particularly because the Blights who use this majority of the time aren't even good but they rely on regression to slow the game down and then camp when their hexes get cleansed.
Ruin Undying Tinkerer also works well on Nurse too. Can someone explain to the class why you never see nurses run this build nearly as much as Blights? I can't even recall the last time I saw a nurse use Pop for #########'s sake.
No one so far is capable of answering the question why are blight players the only ones who are using sweat perks all the time and you don't see such hardcore meta builds nearly as much on any other killer even if it's just as effective to use. I'm still sat here waiting for an answer.
cant even remember when i last saw a nurse tbh

Jump in a locker, do a gen (or any other channeled action), or drop an item as he is about to grab you.
Also it is pretty rare to see so I honestly wouldn't complain.

@giga said:
Or you can not be a sweat lord that needs a 4k every match and just play...you know...for fun? The choice is yours buddy.
I mean I don't even use those perks on him but ok lol
Oh and no, it does not give you that "ez 4k every game" btw, you still have to be good at Blight to win.

Can't really enjoy the content when your game doesn't even run so yeah.
-
BT, SB or DH, iron will, and DS would become almost essential to play.
Medkits would also be seen much more frequently as well due to them increasing survivability, and you would also see survivors using styptic agents or syringes more as well.
-
Ruin, undying, bbq, and tinkerer
*wink wink

They're not leaving. You won't be able to buy them if you haven't already, they aren't being removed from the game. How is that "leaving" like OP said?
Because you won't be able to buy them obviously, but maybe I just didn't word that as I should have.

I'd rather it completely silence a Killer's footsteps. Looking at you Demo.
oh yeah, I just realized that it is going to be with demo forever now since he is leaving soon. If bhvr could just tweak that before they let him go...

How are you getting bad performance?
Your PC is better than mine but I hit 90-120fps consistently throughout the game no matter what map.
* Ryzen 3 2200G
* GTX 1660 Super
* 90-120fps everywhere at all times while streaming
Stuttering does happen every now and then but they are very small microstutters that only take a fraction of a second.
Not even sure, it comes and goes. I get good games, and then bad games. My frames start to drop when starting chases at times and has nothing to do with my internet. Usually it is just lower frames on average, not completely game ending, but pretty distracting to the point where I will mess up because of it.
-
If you want to be an unstoppable (almost unstoppable, the W key hurts him the most) behemoth of an abomination then hell yes you should get good with him.

yes, I do give this information to the correct departments and they've also seen the videos that Pulsar posted which highlighted many of the issues very clearly.
And with the comments re Devs not responding on here, that is technically my job. The forum is a Community forum after all and the Developers that drop by here are mostly on their own time (except for QA who are here, locked in the bug report section). We occasionally get a couple of game designers dropping by, again that is on their own time and of course the issues discussed in this thread, are nothing to do with game design.
Also as a member of the Community Team (I'm a Community Coordinator), it's my specific job to bring up issues, feedback etc to the team as well as give as much information as I can to the Community. Sadly I can't share details of when fixes will go live, but I can share that the team are actively working on numerous "hitches" including the one with Dead Hard.
Edited to add - can we also please not derail the thread with cute pics, it does kinda make light of this issue that consoles are having and also bloats the thread :( Sorry to be a killjoy....but I do think this thread is important.
Well now I feel bad for saying that it would be nice if the devs actually acknowledged this thread.

Lag-switching is cheating.
lol makes sense, but thx
-
Yeah she does seem pretty strong to newbies, I guess she needs to be nerfed then.
-
I don't think this is cheating, I think it is called lag-switching, but if someone can come by and clear this up that would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if this 100th page is supposed to be good or bad

I did not get it either. I believe you needed to have victor and charlotte rejoined by the end of the match to have it.
Considering you have all one but one, i'm hoping it's possible that DBD support could help you with that considering it was a bug.
I hope so

It was a bug but I got it. Also hello yords it's been a while
yo, I am back. glad to know that there are people who recognize me

@GannTM said:
Apparently this was a bug but if you ended the match while controlling Victor then you don’t get the crown. You had to switch right back to Charlotte at the end to get it. I don’t remember where I heard this but I heard it somewhere.
But I was playing charlotte? I am pretty sure I was, I think it may have been lag if anything since I was in another country in a place with very shaky internet, but I ended the match so it doesn't make sense.

To be fair, Mandy has spoken several times on here.
True true, but wouldn't it make a lot of people feel somewhat relieved if a dev came out and said something though? Not undermining Mandy at all tho.
-
It's okay, I have no idea what you said, but it's okay.
-
Aaaaaaand still no reply from BHVR, we are literally just about to hit 100 pages on here
-
mad cuz bad
-
Double edge sword kind of deal there, by not helping your team they won't be able to help you back. Also I doubt that this has happened to you every game.
-
Nurse exists as free to play so your argument is automatically invalid
-
I think we all know what we all think of it.
-
A water or deep sea based killer that has amazing map pressure and a semi strong 1v1.

Well killer takes very little skill to get good at. There is no grind or learning curve, so I got bored with it as well. Good post.
Would love to see your gameplay.
-
probably not, why would there only be killer mains on the forums?
-
Looks like they won twice.
-
I'm scared because I am going on a long trip. I fear I will miss out on the event, I know my hopes aren't high for it but I still want the new crowns and anything else it has to offer.
-
It wouldn't be the same.

@QwQw said:
I still to this day do not understand why the devs even made that add-on.
Keep in mind that these are the same devs who left iri head in the game for years before making it worthless.
-
No, also why did you only give us the options of being a killer or survivor main?
Survivors already have a high chance of escaping with other perks, giving them dead hard at base would nerf all killers in general. The game is already survivor sided, no need to tip the balance in favor of them any more.
