Yeah, he's pretty undeniably one of the worst, if not the worst.
If he wasn't before, this upcoming patch will set that argument in stone.

What do you think makes midwich bad for killer?
Not sarcasm, genuine question bc from my impression of the map it favours killer a lot due to the sheer lack of any good tiles, it's small size (granted it has 2 floors) and the fact that the good windows are negated by breakable walls
I'm gonna guess it's just when gamers hold W?
Yep, the W strat is pretty painful on this map if you are the average killer.
It is also just... boring. It is so boring to play on, the aesthetic of the map is cool, but that feeling of wonder goes away after you realize you just go in straight lines as both killer and survivor.
-
Pretty sure it is RPD and midwich but whatever

If I remember correctly, back whenever the Halloween Chapter was released in 2016, the first Golden Toolbox was found under a picnic table. I think the devs may have been referring to the Golden Toolbox. Also, keep in mind that yellow-colored generators were also first introduced in the Halloween Chapter as well. Finally, notice how almost all Golden Toolboxes are found on the ground albeit hidden. If this really is in the game and hasn't been found yet, my best bet would be that if a survivor is downed and if they crawl to the location of the Golden Toolbox, they can pick it up. Golden Toolboxes would only be able to be picked up if you are in the dying state. After doing so, repairing the yellow generator with the Golden Toolbox maybe opens up the beginning to the third route of escape. I always like to imagine another larger layer to the basement opens up. Who knows though. It really is strange that this hasn't been found through data mining.
A shot in the dark here, but it could be because of the spaghetti code. I imagine it would be pretty hard to find that.
-
Yeah I am surprised more people don't know about it. You just have to mori the killer and the entity will automatically take you out of a trial to turn you into a fully fledged killer.
But in all seriousness, you are telling me that there is currently an in-game way of escaping the trial that has nothing to do with the hatch or exit gates? While that does sound really cool, is it true?
And why is this not getting more attention???

Yeah damn, those 2 meter extra distance are insaaaane. Like, I can't even believe sprint burst exists it covers so much more distance.
Fr, it's not that crazy. Yes dead hard allows you to squeeze out one more loop or so. But let's not forget that this is all dead hard can do. Sprint burst, lithe, balanced etc allow you to get from any unsafe area into a safe area. So much better. And let's not forget 99ING sprint burst.
I think you are undermining that strength.
That one extra loop can often lead to a survivor escaping that chase or chaining another tile together, which is quite significant. Even more so on a good survivor.
Also, when considering that a lot of killers don't have the necessary abilities to deal with this effectively (pig, trapper, Wraith, trickster, Myers, legion, ghostface, hillbilly, Freddy, bubba, and the twins), you get a perk that can allow a survivor to force the killer to spend loads of their time chasing them for one down. With the only condition that they be injured. This makes the perk very consistently good, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the power that it has feels like too much.
And Sprint burst is mostly a utility rather than a chasing perk. Most survivors don't 99 it simply because they have their exhaustion still high or don't know about it. A survivor should be exhausted most of the game when running this perk.
-
Killers did get loads of good changes though. What else were you expecting? All weaker killers to be reworked?

If you're concerned about distance gain, then Sprint Burst, Lithe, and Balanced Landing all give WAY more distance than Dead Hard.
But all of those perks require a condition for using it. Dead hards' only condition to activate is being injured, which the killer has to do to progress the game.
-
@Dehitay said:
While Dead Hard is a good perk. I don't think it's anywhere near the level of needing a nerf. It's one of the few exhaustion perks that can be rendered completely useless half the time. If I'm ever chasing a survivor in the open, I'll wait till I get close enough to I'm practically rubbing up against them and then lunge. If they have Dead Hard, it usually results in one of two things. They'll use it before I get that close and then it's just an easy follow up to hit them. Or once I'm that close, the lunge will cover almost the same distance as the dash and it lasts longer the invincibility frames so it will still hit them in the end. It has to be where they're close to a pallet or vault but about to get hit before Dead Hard is really powerful.
It is incredibly strong when used for distance, not dodging as you are describing it.

It states there was an issue and it won't be part of the mid-chapter, not that they won't add the change. Though I think the dust by itself is fine since it rewards survivors paying attention to the environment compared to directional phasing.
Oh I guess I skimmed over it then, but depending on how frequent the dust is it might be a bit too much.
-
The devs made a note on part 2 saying that they aren't adding the dust effect when she phases after all

10sec to escape is likely 3-4 attempt and equal to ~40m traveling. And thats alot.
I just want disarming his trap should come with a risk. That you have to success a skill check to close it, or get trapped. Disarming skill check zone can be decreased with Coil.
Someone can dedicate in following you to disarm traps. Increase disarming time doesnt help Trapper
Sounds interesting, but survivors are already too good at skillchecks. I really couldn't think of anything else that could help him so I just went with increasing disarm time.

His "buff" wont change anything.
It will, he will not be forced to run a trapper sack which means more addons and we haven't even seen the reworked addons yet.

It's no wonder they think BHVR doesn't do anything when they don't bother reporting anyone and instead post it on the forum to "spread the word".
But I have reported the same cheater 3 times with video evidence and using their steam URL and I still ran into them. What else do we do? I still report cheaters but it is likely not to do anything.
-
The reason people are putting it out for people to see is because BHVR won't do anything, even with reports. They are simply spreading the word and hoping that BHVR will take notice.
-
Hmm so your reasoning is this: Just don't try so hard and you will not get survivors or killers that do the same.
I guess people like me who try my hardest in a video game to win are screwed...
-
Pretty good actually, a very nice change of pace. The best part about this is that there will be a part 2 to the patch.
-
I think it has potential to be up there, but it just needs time.
I don't think it will top DBD tho.

Do you see any other killers than Nurse and (pre-nerf) Spirit?
I said good survivors, not survivors playing in comp.

You're kidding right?
It takes literal minutes to down good survivors with any killer that isn't Nurse, current Spirit, and Blight (map dependent). The only way you can even compete is if you tunnel or camp right off the bat, and even then, the win isn't guaranteed.
And just how often do you find yourself running up against really good survivors? The kind of survivors that can do well against any killer; the kind that you would find in comp? I doubt that the SBMM is bad as you say because so far it seems like it is still pretty inconsistent. For example, I was put against 2 survivors with 400 hours on the last match I played.
Huntress is strong, Deathslinger is strong, Pyramid head is strong, plague is strong, Oni is strong, Hag is strong, and Demogorgon is strong. They are all strong, maybe not nurse level but definitely not weak in the slightest. It just takes skill. I know there are times where you go up against a 4-man swf who have over 2000+ hours, but those times that it actually happens is rare. Even when against survivors in solo queue that are pretty good, you aren't hopeless all the time.
-
i dont think anyone knows why, and they refuse to tell us
-
If you think nurse is the only killer that can compete against good survivors, then you probably need to actually get better with your killers. And I'm not buying your statement of 2000+ hours.
-
Pretty underwhelming about 90% of the time.
-
The poopypants david build
no mither (always trying to push it out; he is constipated)
sprint burst (gotta make it to the toilet quick)
pebble (to throw a questionable material at the killer)
urban imersion (to hide in the grass in case you have an accident in your as-)
-
Does it really matter though? Sure it is cool to have diversity, but is it really such an issue to make it a big deal?

How do we know boons are going to be inherently strong? They might be weaker so that the killer isn’t forced to find them
But then there would be no point at running them at all, and at that point why would you even put this in the game?
Right now they seem out of place, killers already have so much to deal with and now they could be getting a second objective.

How is pig strong lore wise? shes a girl from the saw films with no supernatural power, also freddy krueger is on par with the entity due to his power to warp dimensions and alter realities to his victims will
I don't think she is super strong, but she is one of the few killers who can kill survivors without the help of the entity via her RBTs. Which I am pretty sure makes her stronger than the average killer lore-wise.
-
Myers, Pig, Pyramid head, and pinhead with pinhead seemingly being the strongest lore-wise

Use anything you can to report them. Video, steam ID, Profile name, screenshots of both their steam Profile, the scoreboard, and the pause menu in game. A link to their steam profile. Heck take a screenshot of their other aliases on steam.
There is literally a Dead by Daylight streamer who hasn't been banned in over two years, and he hacks the game to the point so when you click the report button in game it just brings up a black screen with the words "######### BHVR" over and over again, and you simply can't report him in game.
Some of these people are untouchable, but if you put in the effort at least the ones who don't cover all their tracks can be caught.
