BT, don't tunnel and it has zero effect.
DH, fair enough of a complaint.
Unbreakable, one time use only matters if you try to greed.
Deliverance, earned with a decent chance of never triggering.
DS, already hard nerfed and only matters if you tunnel.
Adrenaline, again it was earned. They finished their objective.
Swf with comms, also a fair complaint.
So we actually only have one second chance perk.
As for Noed, you did nothing to earn the speed boost/insta down. In other words it feels cheap. Basically it's the killer DH. Personally I'd rework Noed, but it's still a fair perk. At least in my opinion.
I'd say it is only really cheap against sold. Even if it activates against a swf, they can still fan out and cleanse it.

It has been better than expected. But I still would have preferred more BP and maybe another blighted skin.

This is false and you can see from the wiki that NoeD has been in the game since the start, actually receiving a change in patch 1.0.2 to make it activate when the last gen was done and not when the exit was opened as it had been originally.
Please check your information before presenting things as fact, like it being ‘made for a band aid fix’.
Fact is back then killers were supposed to be scary and get you; they also had perks like Insidious to support a playstyle that over the years became frowned upon, but it’s clear that this was meant to be a completely different experience to how it is now.
Interesting, didn't know that before. Could have sworn that someone somewhere said it was a perk introduced in late 2017 or something.
But I would still consider it a cheap perk against solo teams.
-
True, it was made as a band-aid fix for killers back in the day when they couldn't pressure survivors quick enough to prevent gens from flying. It is just unhealthy at this point. Not game breaking or anything, but annoying and very much outdated.
-
True, he is now just like billy.
Nerfed. Not dead, but very annoying to play as and not as good as they used to be.
-
Trickster in terms of his power was pretty lame. The twins had the worst chapter, but Legion? Legion hardly has a power and are literally BHVR's dress up doll nothing else. Legion's addons still haven't even been updated to match their current "power".

My son. This game is so easy to balance. It's REALLY easy to balance. You play the game...you find an issue....you fix it. The game is hide and seek. Not see and stab and see and stab. P.S. what's going on?
My guy, this game's code is made of spaghetti, the devs who update it have no idea what they are doing, and the company that owns it literally just tricked everyone into buying NFT's or whatever.
And even if they would look at problems, they still have to come up with a healthy solution. Figuring out just one would take forever, especially with how slow BHVR is with quality content updates.
-
Points.....it aint hard to balance.
Gonna have to disagree with you on that one bub. It can be balanced sure, but it ain't gonna be easy. And it is bold to assume BHVR would make good decisions these days, especially with what has been going on lately.

It's a spider, but its cute, but its a spider.
My brain can't handle this.
Nope. Still a fricking behemoth that should be burned out of existence for me. I'm not arachnophobic, I'm just cautious and don't like spiders.
-
Same, I use it on blight and makes him terrifying to try and play against. But I am unsure if it's actually good on weak m1 killers because while they can get hits here and there without the fear of pallets, but once the hex is gone they will most likely have to deal with all of the previous unstopped pallets.
-
It can technically end in a draw if one of them decides to lag the match enough to where everyone automatically disconnects.
But the killer would win because of insta Mori cheats. The cheating survivor would get cocky and not know if the killer is cheating. But once the killer knows that a survivor is cheating they would insta Mori them before they get the chance to insta escape.

It also depends on how steep the surface is, if you wanna go down sometimes you can't go downhill (Basement stairs rejects the trails sometimes, lost a game because of my ranged attack not going any sort of distance on the staircase)
Basically I think what OP is asking is for the trails to be able to go downhill and uphill from any surface
EDIT: So tired I forgot staircase
Oh I see. Yeah I think that would be nice.

Not always, its pretty inconsistent with both
I thought it was consistent. To shoot it down you have to be standing on a flat surface (not what you are shooting down from) and it is guaranteed.

My boy Billy got shafted pretty hard for basically no reason.
BHVR practically said he was on par for the course, but they gave him the Ol' lick-n-stick anyways
*Literally no reason
They even explained that he already was punished enough for using his chainsaw, and then added another thing to nerf him.

the huntress lullaby rework is plaything with an additional effect?
No, plaything can block anyone else from doing a specific totem along with inflicting the oblivious status effect.

You also have to realize that survivors have to go out of their way to replenish their items. It takes time to go to a locker.
Does it really matter tho? I still haven't seen much of this perk so I don't fully understand how it works. But if a survivor can do this throughout the match with an already beefy toolbox with btl, streetwise, and charge addons I can assume it doesn't matter if they spend 10 seconds in a locker.

Exactly what I was going to say. It's a pendulum. I've only been here half a year; I've seen Wraith buffs, Trickster buffs, Deathslinger nerfs, Spirit nerfs, key nerf, DS nerf, hit validation nerfs. Everyone gets a nerf.
"You get a nerf, you get a nerf, you get a nerf, and YOU get a nerf. EVERYBODY gets a NERF!"
-
You have to blur their names, it is against the rules to shame people.
-
I played her a bunch actually, I tried out all the new addons.
I also tried mother daughter ring with the futon is it called? The one that lets you teleport back to your husk and omg I got insane value out of it. I am still unsure if it is a good addon tho.
She played exactly the same, except on safer tiles. Which weren't really a problem since it was easy to have the survivor just drop the pallet quickly.
It was pretty fun honestly, I used to play her a lot and all of the
skillgameplay felt immediately familiar so it was fun for me. I have yet to play against her though.MD is still broken btw, very little you can do as survivor against it.

You can't really stop survivors from healing (with the exception of plague.) IMO healing slowdown is kinda worthless, making them take longer to heal really doesnt matter since in the scenario they are attempting to be healed or heal themself, they arent gonna be doing anything anyways. Making them take a few seconds longer barely changes much, especially since the medkit meta is in full swing at the moment. Circle of healing won't "kill" sloppy so much as it will exacerbate the already lackluster nature of anti-healing perks.
True healing slowdown kinda eh, but made weak because of medkits and dead hard.

@Metzu said:
They can't test totem spawns before releasing a new totem perk and you think they can deal with hackers? Lol.
There used to be an incredibly small amount of cheaters back in the day, so they are clearly capable of dealing with it.
-
top 3
Huntress, Blight, and Billy.
Huntress always gives you a rush when you hit those snipes. Playing Blight perfectly always gives you a good feeling. Hitting curves as Billy is very exciting.
-
@GannTM said:
I think she’s low S tier still, just below Blight.
I'm not sure about that yet, I have yet to play against a group of good survivors. I think the new semi-counterplay just makes her not able to use her power as well at places like shack as well. Idk
-
Hey at least it isn't stupidly broken now. I would rather have a borderline useless thing than something that can be used to win matches easily.
-
Wait they are calling it an event?
-
Too much work for BHVR.
-
They do work, but the difference is incredibly miniscule.

Have you been around to see the very first menu ui? I still miss the "Be a Survivor, Quick Play and Be a Killer" menu.
Nope. I do remember the winter solstice menu music though. Was the most nostalgic feeling I have ever had in a game.

I remember the 4th Feb 2017 PTB with the DS nerf and gen kick addition certainly :D.
I also remember the killer power switch and perk stacking bug.
Nice, I haven't even been around for that long. I joined several months later.

I started on the 25th of December 2016, so you have another oldie with you :)
Edit: I also watched the game sincer May 2016, so yeah I'm probably a veteran.
Oh snap, hello there lol. Remember old DS?

I wonder if i could considered an veteran since i played the game when spirit came out (September 2018)
I would consider you a long time player, but the title of veteran (I believe) should go to those who were playing this game when it was absolutely busted and in favor of the survivors. Back when real infinites were a thing, back when nurse was even stronger, back when insta heals were a thing, and back when hag used to suck.
-
Use the first blink to get close to the survivor, and then use the second one to get really close for a hit.
-
Sit and think about life. Sometimes, we even think about what we could be doing with our lives instead of playing this game. For people like me, with 2.5k hours on it we sometimes think "Is this all there is to life? Am I just going to waste it all on this stupid game?". "I don't want to waste it, I wanna live my dreams".
Then the match finally ends and we join another match.

why does it frel like that many known people on this forum has been playing dbd for under 3 years. It must be me though.
Also i wonder how the name thegannman got into a conversation. Either it was randomly said or it was fate by god.
Yeah, I have noticed that too. It seems the number of newer players FAR outweigh the number of people playing from the earlier days.
I am one of those people, and I have yet to find another person who was playing this game back at the start of 2017.

The only problematic ones are sprint burst and dead hard

noted! how does this help though
It lets you set down your traps, and if place right they can allow you to have a dangerous part of the map locked down. Meaning survivors will just keep getting hit.
-
I think a good strat is to place at least 4-6 traps as you cross the map through the middle.
Then make a more webbed up area on the map, and then have at it from there.

There's 2 tactics that work vs Plague.
- Nobody Cleanse ever. That way she only ever gets 1 use of Red Puke in the whole game.
- Mass Cleanse asap. Once the last pool is used, ALL pools become clean again and Plague gets her power which again... can result in only a single use of Red Puke... but it's more likely that more of your team is healthy when she gets it so it's less impactful. But it is riskier if Plague realizes you're doing that and starts grabbing Pools as often as possible.
Either strat can work but everybody needs to be on the same page.
Not cleansing against plague does not allow you to make risky plays at all though. If you cleanse, do it very sparingly. I would say it is a good idea to cleanse at a fountain that is near a finished generator, so that when the plague goes to get the fountain she loses a lot of pressure.
It also isn't a good idea to not cleanse because most plague players bring the apples. There just isn't really a point in not cleansing anymore since she has a fountain at base. And if she is good, she can make use of one fountain to down 2-3 survivors. Assuming everyone is fully infected and doesn't cleanse.

It's a rare dialect called "Good Sportsmanship". You'll see it every now and then, usually from people who immigrated from Killer Main or who are from Both Sides. Sometimes you'll get native survivors who speak Good Sportsmanship. It's an easy language to learn. But sadly most people don't take the time.
Interesting, I have never heard of this one.
-
I haven't gotten to play her, but I think she will be great.
Her early game will be much better, and she will be more threatening since survivors will start to become fully infected much much faster. This also helps her with lethality if she only has one fountains; it inadvertently encourages survivors to cleanse more.

@PleassBuiltInNoed said:
right, make another ultra-rare addon so bad nobody will use it like most of them on majority of killers
It is possible to nerf addons without making them useless you know
-
I would honestly put pinhead in s tier.
Currently, the RNG and the lack of reward for hitting long range chains is the only thing stopping him from being stronger.
However, his power is quite unique and well designed.
His possessed chain ability can be used in a chase and for scouting.
His chain hunt can enhance his chasing and tracking abilities. And it also helps by being natural slowdown.
Whenever you have no pressure on the survivors, you can teleport to a survivor with the box and immediately start a chase.
Sure he is still a little inconsistent, but even right now he is not bad at all in terms of design. I say to add him in your s tier.

No. This patch was almost exclusively survivor buffs.
Trapper got buffed, plague got buffed, and Myers had some addons buffed. I would hardly call that almost exclusive to survivors especially when considering that we got a few killer perks buffed as well.
-
Ummm no they aren't? Didn't you read the nerfs? If a survivor wants to bless a hex totem, it takes 24 seconds. That means it takes longer for them to cleanse, which means it takes longer for them to get back on gens.

I'm ok with the mending laceration thing.
I'm not ok with the holding main event. You can camp really well with that.
Bubba can, hag can, and pyramid head can. What's wrong with trickster doing the same? I see no issue with that, it would only make him stronger which is the point.
