I could see something like this happening, but i wouldnt make it 105% and also cant have the ability being TR wide. Maybe 110% with him being able to cast his bugs in a cone shape infront of him, and they stick around for awhile. Similar effect as clown's bottles, but with a cast similar to Doc's shock.
That sounds quite interesting, too. He'd be like a combination of Doctor, Clown and Leatherface. Perhaps they could make it so the survivors have to hit skillchecks to fight off bugs and failing a skillcheck reveals their aura as a Pyramid Head addon.
The devs would have loads of possibilities in terms of creativity - that's for sure.

I'd hope that they somehow incorporated the 'Betrayal' Silent Hill 2 soundtrack into the game if they ever added Pyramid Head.
Believe it or not: I have been listening to that track whilst writing each one of my Silent Hill related comments 😂
That would be crazy. Just imagine the atmosphere.

The only thing Im wondering is...what would his power be? He'd be the easiest killer to escape if you can simply speed-walk away from him.
How about this:
He moves at a movement speed of about 105% (if that's slow enough to allow him to move slow and creepy just like in the Silent Hill games and movies)
BUT to make up for this crazy lack of movement speed there's bugs inside his terror radius that are capable of slowing down survivors tremendously by reducing their movement speed and disabling fast vaults causing slow ass Pyramid Head to catch up pretty quickly allowing Pyramid Head to either M1 them or go for a slow big M2 swing that causes them to go down instantly.
Just a quick idea.

I just remember THIS scene from the movie
Not gonna lie: If the devs added a Silent Hill chapter including Pyramid Head and gave him a legit instadown and his "movie mori" I'd probably be willing to pay 100 bucks for that particular chapter haha.
Imagine working on a generator (Silent Hill map) and all of a sudden you hear the typical Silent Hill siren turning your surroundings into a hell-ish place and you see Pyramid Head in the distance dragging his famous "Great Knife" towards YOU.
Aaah damn... Now I'm getting caught up in dreams.

The devs already struggle with fixing bugs. Do you honestly think they'd be able to implement a decent AI?
Dead By Daylight already has a basic AI via the tutorial.
Tutorial-Meg is able to run away and vault pallets.
Tutorial-Trapper follows the player and repeatedly hits against the entity blocker.
Most players would be happy to have a mode with a killer or survivor standing still allowing them to explore maps, practice loops "mechanically" without getting chased, practice the killer's ability/power on survivors that either don't move OR move like tutorial-Meg.
What I've described is definitely possible and takes little resources to implement.
-
Originally the Entity wasn't even able to kill by itself which is why I still have a hard time accepting the endgame collapse lore-wise.
Quote (Benedict Baker): "It [The Entity] does not seem to be dangerous in itself."

It is a war just not your typical one..and not everyone is fighting it..but it assuredly does exist
A bunch of people hating on each other in a video game is not a war.
That being said I understand you want toxicity to disappear but that's never gonna happen in any pvp game due to the nature of pvp games. The point of pvp games is literally beating another person and way too many people are bad losers (i.e. "I didn't deserve to lose!")/bad winners (i.e. "I'm angry even though I won because you all acted toxic! REEEE!") causing them to act/play rudely towards random players no matter the circumstances quite simply based on memories of OTHER players.
I wish humans were more complex but they aren't.
-
No offence but all the survivor perks you named are easily countered unless you're bad at the game.
Both sides have strong perks and "many" perks require some experience for efficient usage.
-
I suppose SWF are more likely to use head on as it "potentially" allows them to save their teammates by stunning the killer either while carrying or tunneling a teammate. Some of them end up using it solely with the purpose to annoy killers, though.

Same. I couldn't even remember when I got Haddonfield the last time so I used a map offering. Them survivors are probably still wondering why a killer would use a Haddonfield offering haha.

I can't even say it in words how horrible the experience on PS4 is.. Playing on Controller is absolutly disgusting. And the FOV on survivor and killer feels so tight and reduced.
The fps is... Alright I guess. Manageable, but far away from good. Graphics is horrible, at first I thought I'm playing DbD mobile.
I think the worst thing is the controller. Absolutly wobbly and extremely restricting.
With all the respect.. But how are you ps4 mains playing this game?? It's not bareable for me.
BHVR, you need to work on keyboard and mouse support. This game is not playable with a controller... Or lets better say: not enjoyable like on pc.
You get used to playing dbd with a controller. Being a Bubba main I had to learn to cut corners with absolute precision in order to be able to even have a chance to chainsaw people running around loops and other objects. At this point it feels so natural to me I can't even imagine playing dbd without a controller.
Pretty sure PC players couldn't have played this one any better than me:
https://youtu.be/W-LHQEg7WUs -
Honestly even though none of the survivors deserved this kind of fate I have a hard time feeling "more sorry" for them than for certain killers. At least some of the survivors had a life ahead of them whereas some of the killers never even had a chance to have anything remotely similar.
-
At least one type of tier list that allows me to be S tier haha
-
It's a pretty "healthy" perk:
- survivors who run "Inner Strength" are going to look for a totem at the start of the game giving the killer a bit of a chance to have a less stressful early game.
- survivors won't need to fear NOED anymore in return as the perk basically rewards survivors with an "almost-instaheal" for giving the killer some time by taking the killer's "potential NOED" out / cleansing a totem.
I really like the idea behind the perk!
-
Thanks for the spoiler.
-
Left Behind is still a useless perk. It now shows you the aura of the hatch within a radius of 32m as soon as everyone has been killed completely*.
* = I'm referring to how long it takes for the actual death icon to pop up allowing any killer to quickly run to the hatch to close it during the sacrifice process.
New left behind will ONLY be useful if all 3 survivors are dead AND both -the killer and the last survivor- don't know where the hatch is by then which is EXTREMELY rarely the case.

Good players make swf, because people don’t solo que because of how terrible some survivors are, so they play with their friends who they know are at least competent at the game, like I stick to killer, and only play survivor with at least one friend, not to bully the killer or anything, just so I can guarantee one decent survivor with me, and I guess with the potatoes, I would assume they get lumped together because most likely, people who aren’t potatoes don’t really want to play with them, so they’re left solo queuing, so when you solo que that’s probably why you get them, this is at rank 1 as well, even there most survivors are potatoes
This is exactly what I've observed. Good survivors usually join a SWF team sooner or later because (bad) "permanent solo randoms" ruin the game experience due to their lack of competence combined with killers who will typically tunnel good solo survivors off the hook to make sure they get an easy 4k.

K man. What if all survivors are good loopers? I loose right?
According to @Liruliniel you can get your first down in 15 seconds which says a lot about the survivors he goes against.
Nobody needs ruin (or ANY other perk for that matter) to beat that kind of survivor.

You seem to be some kind of a masochist to enjoy Leatherface, Trapper and Wraith that much :P

-
Although I rarely ever use any type of mori I absolutely love the mori animations and appreciate the work the devs put in the mori animations.
Perhaps they could tweak the requirements to mori a survivor to make them feel less "unfair" so everyone can feel the "coolness" of moris rather than their "op-ness".

Not really but,
Some killers do in fact have better powers than others, but what is at steak, ie; The perks have much more value. The real only killer that can do amazing vs. a 4 man is either a Billy or mostly a Nurse. Shrine of Secrets is what doesn't make it really a P2W
You forgot Spirit
-
The strongest killer in the game (Nurse) is in the base game. Hillbilly is a base game killer as well. Future killers will probably be available via shards unless they're licensed like the Demogorgon.
Overall opinion: No, DBD isn't going to be P2W albeit some strong killers and perks will exclusively be available for $$$
As for strong licensed DLC survivor/killer perks: Sooner or later they'll pop up on the shrine so no actual P2W here either unless the "P" stands for "play".

I don't even know how to record my gameplay. Forget I even made the thread. Killers are highly underpowered, survivors need to be nerfed into the ground and people here may melt if you ask for tips on how to make your game more challenging.
Not sure why you're acting like that. I've never said survivors needed to get nerfed into the ground.
Anyways I've been playing killer and survivor for years now. 50/50 even at some point during my 3000+ hours.
Been rank 1 on both sides. Had (multiple) 1 minute 4k 5gen games as killer without playing top tier killers AND looped red rank killers for 4 or even 5 gens + escaped (as a solo player so no team support during chases).
Got videos proving all my claims on my YT channel as well.
In my opinion -which is based on the games I've mentioned above and my general experience- Dead By Daylight is relatively balanced right now quite simply BECAUSE killers AND survivors can lose or dominate extremely depending on your decisions throughout the game.
-
@Gopher said:
I'm not making an argument to nerf killer or buff survivors. I'm just asking for suggestions on how to make it more of a challenge. You guys got all conspiracy on me. Come here with a logical and legit concern and you're asking for videos of my gameplay? good grief!
I main a Billy and Hag, but have had success with all the killers so far. Only killer that is semi bad for me is Wraith. Just had a 2k with no perks. Autohaven map.
Posting videos isn't much of a deal for any adult person. Not sure why you wouldn't want to back up your claims when you clearly want to use your claims to make a point.

I'm on XB1 and I'm getting lots of fps drops lately playing killer. Sometimes the screen even freezes for about half a second. It's weird because after the first optimization update the game fps was really smooth. It's like the devs reverted the update.

@GrootDude said:
They’re both decent imo, LF is honestly the most underrated killer in this game.
This.
Leatherface is arguably the most underrated and most inefficiently played killer in the game. He is a legit m2 instadown killer and ANYONE can get downed by the chainsaw at pretty much ANY mindgameable loop.
However most people are pretty bad at the game (but wouldn't admit it obviously) and thus turn him into a m1 killer at all times thinking there's no other way to play him.
He's a solid mid tier killer with the highest "lethality" in the game IF you're good at the game.
Perhaps I should start uploading full games so people get an idea on how to use his chainsaw efficiently.

You know, it might be in the works. Xenomorph and Pennywise are by far have gotten more than enough recognition now and I think the developers know that these 2 would make it incredible.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/662436#Comment_662436
I'm pretty sure this is an misconception. Demogorgon is "humanoid" they never really limited themselves much on that factor. It was mostly because of the weight of cost which would take to develop a brand new skeleton.
I know they've never said they'd only make pure human killers but still I never expected them to add a killer that's merely "humanoid" given the fact all the other killers were real people in their past OR still are ordinary people (physically).

Wiki quote:
"It" is a horrific and malevolent cosmic entity, that is billions of years old, spawned in the void of the Macroverse and came to planet Earth to feed. It lives in the sewers of Derry, awakening every 27 years to prey on the town's children, feeding on their fears and using the writhing bright orange lights that comprised his own life essence called "Deadlights", a dangerous and eldritch form of energy (which is used as a dark magical weapon by another monstrous Stephen King villain known as the Crimson King) to make them "float".
This demonic extra-dimensional entity had a body humans could only comprehend as a giant spider, but It would almost always disguise itself as a clown named "Pennywise" to attract children, so that it could capture and kill them as they were an easier target."
I like how "IT" is described in as a spider-ish Entity similar to DBD's Entity.
Anyways I don't see much of a chance for "IT" to become a DBD killer since "IT" is a mighty Entity itself but as Dr Loomis said: YOU NEVER KNOW.
I would have never expected Behaviour to actually make a real non-human killer like the Demogorgon either.

Do you do generally well with him at rank 1? I'm just curious.
I tried to post a detailed reply but accidentely closed the thread (insert "I want to die" meme here) so here's the short(er) version:
Bubba massively lacks map pressure due to his normal 115% mobility and has no actual stall potential which is something I notice every time I play at red ranks (which hasn't been the case since the latest rank reset as I'm kind of bored of dbd at the moment and waiting for the new chapter [got a new meme build in mind featuring one of the Demogorgon's perks]).
He does however have lethality due to his real instadown (by "real" I mean it can be used at all times/spontaneously/infinitely/no annoying power bar) which often allowed me to make crazy comebacks even when I thought I was going to lose completely. An instadown can always be a game changer especially once the pallets are out of the way.
So yes, I generally do well at red ranks but at the same time I see his weaknesses and understand why many people consider Bubba weak. If people don't immediately see the chance to chainsaw someone he can turn into a M1 killer with no power pretty quickly especially at red ranks as people stick to windows and pallets more frequently.

Poor LF eats pallets.
His whole diet consists of fibre rather than chili at this point haha. He'll always be my main and I'm still glad I put thousands of hours into him allowing me to see every single opportunity to use his chainsaw but (at least) some addon fixes would be appreciated.

@Pulsar said:

Uh huh. Prove it. Show me how they are viable.
There is virtually no way to prove that a killer is viable - just saying. People can always say "but those were bad survivors" to nullify footage.
Anyways:
I agree that Leatherface needs: Small QoL buffs and (obviously) addon fixes/changes/buffs.
His only "specific" purple addon (AwardWinningChilli) is weaker than ANY brown addon of ANY killer in the game even though purple addons are supposed to be game-changing.
Bubba's purple: AwardWinningChilli
(one of) Spirit's purple: Prayer Beads
Spirit's basekit has little to no counterplay and on top of that her purple addons are game changing. How is that fair towards Bubba?
Many people can do well with Bubba and 4k most of the time but that doesn't mean he and his addons are perfectly fine.

That's literally the only Clown perk I haven't unlocked (via shrine) yet. Don't really want to unlock Clown for 1 perk. Guess I'll have to wait for it to pop on the shrine some time.
Also, do you hesitate to kick a 20% gen (for instance) wondering if there isn't a 70+% somewhere on the map if you run PGTW?

30 seconds? More like 24 seconds. That's how long my ruin lasted last game. Ironically I told my gf "if my ruin goes down quickly again I'm done with hex totems and I'll switch to Corrupt Intervention".

Has anyone made any decent experiences with Corrupt Intervention instead of Ruin so far?

And you forgot that only pro survs use that callouts, I'm still standing on my point that SWF is not OP, but good survivors (especially in SWF) can be overpowered and there is not much you can do but adapt and learn how to play against them in a specific ways. And also always ignore complains, it's you who tries to deal with them now since they are good.
Let me apply your logic to something else: "omega blink Nurse isn't op because not everyone plays her optimally!"
