I like Brutal, and Agi is pretty helpful for body blocking, and I like the synergy it has with Pop and Brutal. Corrupt might've helped but then they could've just hid for 2 minutes, and worked on the gens while I searched.
Also, you have to be in range to use FRENZY, and you have to HIT THEM TO APPLY DEEP WOUNDS. So, it's not a guarantee, or even a remotely good power compared to it's previous iteration.
Perks are never a guarantee for anything. However some perks are more likely to have a butterfly effect than others. I suggested Corrupt since you dislike Ruin.
Both perks (Ruin/Corrupt) potentially allow you to build huge early-game pressure whereras Agitation merely saves you a few tenths of a second on average. The typical "carry duration" is roughly 5 seconds. Agitation increases your carry speed by 18%.
You just saved 0.9 seconds.
https://youtu.be/-0WSkGVlt7QJust give it a try. At least Corrupt can't be destroyed at the start of the game and it somewhat synergizes with Legion due to their tracking powers.
-
Why would you run Brutal Strength on Legion? Agitation is nearly useless, too. Get rid of one of those trash perks and run Corrupt Intervention. You're playing Legion which means:
- People will either try and wait it out near the blocked generators allowing you to create early game pressure as Legion can find anyone using FRENZY.
OR
- people will run through the map looking for non-blocked generators giving you enough time to create pressure anyways.
All of the generators in this video popped just after the 80 second mark which is exactly how long it takes to repair a generator by default if you spawn next to them.
-
Personally I've seen really toxic people act identically regardless of wether they were playing survivor or killer. If they weren't acting toxic playing one specific role it was usually the result of a lack of skills not allowing them to be toxic.
It's difficult to be toxic when you can't catch anyone OR get downed in a few seconds.
Toxicity is mostly the product of a person's personality rather than what role they main or play exclusively - at least that's what I experienced.
-
I used to play without BBQ for quite some time and don't really like using it because it's a boring perk that merely increases "efficiency" rather than "fun gameplay" but the double bloodpoints is kinda important when playing a killer that's addon reliant.

All survivors on separate gens, I switch targets, they don't even heal, and I have 2 YEAR EXPERIENCE.
Would you be so kind as to upload one of your typical games?
-
That perk seems utterly useless.
24meters is nothing especially if survivors run exhaustion perks like Sprint Burst and for those who prefer Dead Hard or Lithe - it only blocks windows not pallets.
The perk can only be used "UP TO" 5 times per game yet it's weak enough to get ignored by experienced survivors.
Good idea - bad execution.
-
I watched this live. Made me laugh out loud because he called them "sweaty" haha.

I was demo on shelter woods, and despite my best efforts, the game was 3-4 minutes long.
Do any of you see something wrong with that?
If that does not prove that killers have no power than I do not know what will.
It goes both ways.
If people get found and downed quickly they're gonna get killed in a few minutes.
It's just how the game appears to be designed at this moment. You either totally destroy or get totally destroyed. I rarely see something in between.
-
No offence but that's the worst tier list I've ever seen.

Search Umbra on twitch, she is a really good huntress.
That's an odd way to say "she is the best Huntress in the world" 🤔 I'm usually not much of a fanboy but she just seems to be born to play Huntress. She really deserves the title "God-Huntress".

Sonic Spirit? What are the add-ons for that.
They're probably referring to Spirit's Mother-Daughter-Ring addon which allows Spirit to phase with a total speed of 246.4% which is actually 16% faster than Hillbilly's default chainsaw-sprint.
-
Meanwhile I'm sitting here... Unable to play after rank reset because my current TV is acting up with all kinds of pixel- and lighting errors. Can't wait to play some 4k-depip games when my new TV arrives.
-
You know Borrowed Time only triggers if you unhook a survivor INSIDE the killer's terror radius, don't you?
Some killers can literally move around with no terror radius at all (Wraith, Ghostface, Myers, Pig etc.) which doesn't allow Borrowed Time to activate.
-
@savevatznick said:
You have to be efficient enough to win but suboptimal enough to pip.
That made me laugh because it's true.
-
Legion can see the beating heart (it's called "killer instinct") of any survivor within their terror radius while using frenzy (Legion's power).
Lockers only block auras, not your beating heart. That's why Legion can see you inside lockers after hitting someone using their frenzy power.
If you see someone got hit with frenzy which is indicated by the orange bar below their names and you're inside the terror radius just run away in a perfectly straight line.

'Jason' might give Miller a claim Gotta change his name to like Mason or something
Mason Loreless instead of Jason Vorhees? 😂
-
People would abuse the hell out this perk. You could literally get chased by the killer and rush to the hook and unhook the survivor in the killer's face without any sort of punishment. The killer would literally get punished/stunned for chasing the survivor who decided to rush to the hook.
-
Sounds like the perk is more of an achievement than a perk now 😂
-
I felt his pain when people wouldn't give it to him by using lockers and his relief when he finally did it a few minutes ago haha.
-
I love people who run OoO. Makes the game so much easier for me.

Excuse me, to all of you....how TF is this a nerf in any form or fashion?
Secondly, it's ridiculous to be able to literally rev the chainsaw for over 10-30s with literally no pause or decay in pressure.
You all can't even give proper reasons as to why you object, all you mentioned is in regards to camping, even though I still disagree.
You never specified the duration you had in mind so I figured you'd think of a few seconds and then boom 0% chainsaw which would be a major nerf as I need to be able to hold the chainsaw at 100% for several seconds if I want to mindgame someone using the chainsaw. If we're talking about like 30 seconds then obviously I'll agree as this would only nerf campers.
The devs could make it so the chainsaw overheats when holding it for 30 seconds at a time.
-
There's numerous killers that can just decide to camp someone to death one way or another.
Doctor can spam "grab" in treatment mode.
Myers with infinite tier 3.
Myers with no addons - tier 3 during second stage.
Myers with no addons - can pop his tier 3 if someone wants to go for the save.
Ghostface can stand next to the hook and stalk/instadown survivors coming for the save.
Wraith can stand next to the hook (cloaked) and instadown the unhooked survivor with no counterplay due to the fact there's no terror radius/no borrowed time.
Pig can crouch next to the hook and instadown the unhooked survivor with no counterplay due to the fact there's no terror radius/no borrowed time if the Pig crouches.
Trapper can just place 3 traps - 1 on each side of the hooked survivor and camp. No one is gonna be able to even come near the hooked survivor especially if the Trapper runs STBFL.
Let's nerf all these killers while we're at it.
-
It's not weird at all. In fact all humans have the ability to see faces in a lot of things. This ability is supposed to allow us to recognize predatory animals quickly especially ambush predators like felines.
As far as I know human ancestors were even the primary food source of some predators such as Dinofelis.
-
Believe it or not but I got d-striked by 3 survivors in one game back in the day (old decisive strike version) when I wanted to play impossible skillcheck Doctor at rank 1 even though I tier3-shocked them before downing them so "unnerving" seems good by the looks of it but "experienced ds users" will still hit this tiny skillcheck even when it's shacking all over the screen.
Basically I was the one getting shocked that game.
-
Last time I played against my main (Leatherface) I ended up running him for 5 gens and escaped. I was rank 1 survivor+killer at that time. The killer was rank 3 (and a person I've actually known for both of my DBD-years so it's a person with thousands of dbd hours, too).
So no, I don't struggle against my main. Playing against Bubba makes me realize why people consider him weak - but that's mostly because people play him completely wrong.
-
If there's a dedicated Clown main in this thread: What's the fastest the Clown can down a survivor (without pinky finger) if said survivor runs away in a straight line or doesn't/can't loop? How much time do the bottles actually save in that situation?
-
1) no map pressure due to "normal mobility".
2) no gen stall potential.
3) no actual anti-loop.
4) less forgiving than Hillbilly when it comes to making mistakes in chases.
5) huge punishment for bumping into stuff unlike Hillbilly.
6) requires a "calm" player with map awareness for efficient chainsaw plays. Average players will m1 survivors when things get hectic especially if windows, pallets or weirdly shaped objects and narrow places (i.e. lery's bedrooms) are involved.
A "calm" Bubba main with lots of map knowledge and "chainsaw experience" however will always calculate the "chainsaw potential" during a chase as in (chainsaw distance/charge time/acceleration).
Long story short: Bubba only has lethality going for him which isn't even used to its full potential in case of the "average" player making him a killer with no power in many cases.

Searching is way to risky. As killer you need to keep your momentum running. Searching someone without results might be the biggest reason to lose a game because the lack of pressure. Especially searching a Blendette with urban on a stealth map, not worth the effort.
This.
If someone unhooks a survivor without giving me a chance to even walk away I will definitely tunnel the unhooked survivor UNLESS the unhooker shows themselves IMMEDIATELY. I will never drop my momentum just to be "overly" nice. It's nice enough to go for the unhooker.

What platform?

Videos shows FACTS. People vomit opinions
Ironically I did post a video as a reply to YOUR comment which you -unironically- decided to ignore because it didn't show me "lose because I left a chase". Guess you only accept videos as "FACTS" if said video shows what you want to see? Perhaps you're just bad at the game? 🤔

^case in point^ anything to deny facts. absolutely anything.
Take this guy as a good example. He has truly deluded himself into thinking hundreds of thousands of hours of rank 1-20 streamers, and youtubers playing DBD isn't factual evidence. You judge game balance by looking at the gameplay. not by dismissing the mount Everest of video evidence just because it goes against what you want to be true.
Ok! Streamers and youtubers are superior human beings and their videos prove that (insert whatever you want to believe here). Happy now? 🤔
-
I think it's the hit detection not "auto-aim" that occasionally "pulls your camera" from one side to another causing missed attacks that should/could have connected. Correct me if I'm wrong.
-
@Chickenchaser said:
Sorry. The DBD forums doesn't accept factual evidence from hundreds of thousands of hours on stream, and youtube proving gens are unbalanced. Opinion rules these forums. not facts.
Streaming/Youtube content = "factual evidence". Ok then.

Kate that doesn’t do gens, and hides at the slightest heartbeat even when someone else is getting chased, and when she gets chased she doesn’t know how to loop and wastes every pallet on the map, she runs to a pallet, camps it throws it down straight away, run to another pallet and repeat
shes rank 1....... devotion 11
How do you know the Devotion level of a random teammate?

Agaisnt bad survivors ruin pretty much garantees iridescent in gen protection by itself. Can't be a waste if gets you a pip right?
The thing is if they're bad you're gonna be hooking non-stop anyways while they rest is healing in some corner even with Sloppy Butcher allowing you to easily pip anyways so Ruin isn't really needed against "that kind" of survivors.
I always run Ruin because you never know what kind of survivor you go against. If I went against bad survivors and I knew it beforehand I would probably run a "fun perk" instead of boring Ruin. I'd rather run something that "could" result in some funny jumpscares like Tinkerer but let's be real - it's totally useless on Bubba due to "average mobility".
-
Against bad survivors: "Yes."
You don't need any perks/addons or any specific killer to beat bad survivors (who can be found at any rank including rank1).
If it gets destroyed in less than 1 minute: "Yes."
If it gets cleansed in less than a minute (typically 30 seconds give or take if it's a bad totem spawn) you're basically playing a 3-perk game with nothing to slow the game down unless you run a backup perk like PGTW.
Against decent survivors and with a good totem spawn: "Not a wasted perk slot at all."
Even Elite survivors like Puppers mess up skillchecks here and there as long as Ruin is up.

Bye, nobody is gonna miss your laggy lobby. Maybe killer queue won't take so long now, since we don't need to compete with starbucks internet killers. I can't wait!!
I don't hear any good killers from PTB complaining. Just leach better internet from a neighbor or something, you'll be alright.
Not sure what a good killer is according to you but pretty much EVERY dbd streamer was literally joking about how bad the dedicated servers are including survivor mains like Puppers.
-
As a survivor you can potentially play the entire trial without getting chased especially if you got "distraction teammates" who are good at looping. Sometimes you only get chased ONCE or TWICE per trial.
Meanwhile as a killer you NEED to "chase and catch" FOUR survivors up to THREE times EVERY GAME (or at least that's the objective) which means "lag and delay" caused by bad servers will have a HUGE negative impact on killer gameplay and a rather SMALL impact on survivor gameplay.
Therefore it just makes sense to complain about bad servers unless you want to consistently have easy wins against any killer.
-
Agreed. From what I've seen the dedicated servers don't seem to be ready yet. There's crazy lags causing killers to run into walls and stuff which would probably "force me" to quit the game for obvious reasons as I play nothing but Bubba.
If Bubba lags into a wall or other objects during his chainsaw attack it results in his tantrum which has a huge impact when playing against decently looping survivors. Wouldn't want to deal with "free out of jail cards caused by dedicated servers".

I don't see why leaving the chase should be the best option.
Every time killers do that usually lose.
What's the point, especially if I'm using a medkit? So you can begin another chase with a Not- injured survivor that can loop you even more?
Leaving a chase unexpectedly can be extremely beneficial especially if the chased survivor obviously just wants to waste your time heading to unmindgameable pallets that are next to another unmindgameable pallet.
This is a good example of mine:
https://youtu.be/S4ml7jqJoQI"toxic flashlight Nea" (that's just what I call that cosmestic) lured me into the gate pallet which has absolutely 0% mindgame and the computer room pallet next to the gate is another 0% mindgame pallet.
That's why I decided to abandon the chase unexpectedly and ended up creating tons of sudden pressure because both of the other survivors went for the unhook AND healed the survivor allowing me to slug one of them quickly AND go for the other "toxic flashlight Nea" (again: That's just what I call the cosmestic) forcing survivor 3 and/or 1 to come back to pick up the slugged survivor.
In the meantime I downed/hooked "toxic flashlight Nea" and came back JUST when the slugged survivor got picked up.
You don't just blindly go for that ONE survivor who obviously has loads of good pallets around them unless you want to allow the other survivors to hold their "mighty gen repair button".
The result is displayed in the clip as well. 5gen-4k.
Conclusion: Leaving a chase is not necessarily a bad decision.

What are your thoughts on being able to open the hatch with a toolbox? Obviously wouldn't be instant like a key but could be an interesting change to gameplay.
It would certainly make DBD very "interesting" because even killers who usually accept 4 man SWF teams like me would suddenly start dodging.

I may say that Wraith is actually worse, I'm not sure. But Leatherface is just... bad. He feels like Legion where you're punished for trying to use your power unless the survivors are actual potatoes.
Even experienced players make mistakes every games allowing good Bubbas to chainsaw them. The reason Bubba struggles (sometimes) is his "average mobility" causing him to get gen rushed easily and the fact he's got no stall potential when played the wrong way.
However his ability is actually great in terms of lethality. It's (imo) the best instadown in the game as it can be used to zone and mindgame survivors while providing 100% movement control allowing me to end chases or even the whole game pretty much immediately if people screw up like these guys:

Clown, Wraith and Legion are stronger than Leatherface? Based on what factors?

The killer insulted you which is obviously not tolerable but getting direct hits with bottles consistently does in fact require some skills. It seems like you originally wanted to talk about your frustration caused by an angry/rude killer so the thread title wasn't quite correct for that matter.
-

Looks like two brainless killer mains got triggered somehow. I wasnt complaining about killers, or their addons in any way. I was moreso complaining about the toxic mindset, that actually ive seen quite a lot when killers use instant downs such as iridescent , or redhead fingers in this instant.
But if you can't read then i guess just post the first triggered sentance that comes to your mind, which is trying to insult survivor mentality which. I dont have because im a killer main. Lol
Your thread title itself is toxic by reducing every effort of any killer using instadowns in any way whatsoever. Besides I play both sides and literally every instadown killer and every instadown addon is a joke compared to Nurse making your overall point... Well... It makes you seem like a bad player to keep it simple.
