Killer mains don't do that here? I saw that multiple times

OP is actually a killer main as well judging by how op complains about killers not having a surrender option. Also notice how op calls the game a bully simulator. Basically the thread is just a cry for help.

  • OP is obviously a killer main that struggles with the game so they're trying to bait everyone with that screenshot hoping for the devs to take a look and nerf survivors even more. OP will never be happy until the win is guaranteed by clicking on "play as killer".

  • Again: How do you know the killer is from your region? Was it Kill Your Friends? 🤔

nope they dont. where i live untill 6/7 pm you have to wait more than 5 minutes to find lobby as killer. so this guy got like 10 minutes of lobby simulator and then find us LMAO

Why would you assume the killer was from your region? 🤔

  • Probably just a KYF screenshot. Even if it's real who cares? Killers get quick lobbies anyways. That Trapper was probably in the next lobby while you were still chatting soooo... Yeah...

  • There's lots of people who like the idea of playing an unstoppable, dangerous killer but as soon as they realize you have to play well to beat SOMEWHAT DECENT survivors they quickly find themselves in a victim-ish position even if said decent survivors play completely normally without any BM in mind.

As a result they (the bad killer) get salty thus typically ending in childish in-game behaviour/post game talk. Luckily that kind of killer usually quits the game in the long run as they can't take the "stress" of playing killer - whatever that means.

Bubba is crazy strong with the right build... I dunno are all these survivors potatoes? (Maybe they are, not being sarcastic.)

Play with your food with obsession control and good addons and he’s a one hit down machine.

The answer is yes. All of them were potatoes.

I beat a Nemesis+PWYF Bubba myself a while ago. The second I noticed the first obsession change I knew what to do in a chase. Drop pallets early to avoid the stun similar to Spirt Fury - combine dropped pallets with windows to force the killer to use hammer if you can't keep the distance due to his speed and of course do gens outside a chase and hope no one else feeds him tokens. Easy counterplay.

Bots are the opposite, they only know pressing a button on a gen and nothing else. Then its their turn to do chases and they run to the walls. I hate this people, the game is so unbalanced that a noob can beat you easily, there is no diference between having 5000 hours and 50 hours, the bot will just keep dropping pallets and getting rewarded for nothing.

And if the killer ignores me, i rush him so i get his attention.

Obviously it's easy to do gens against bad killers who need minutes to get their first hook and refuse to defend generators because hovering around the first hook seems more rational to them than stopping survivors from progressing in their mission.

  • Aaah bots... You mean those people that refuse to do gens and prefer chasing the killer who will typically ignore the attention seeker and chase someone else resulting in easy pressure and easy 4ks?

But if you balance the game around voice chats, what about different languages? This obviously does not apply for the US, but here in Europe we have a shitload of languages. And not everyone can speak English.

Also, if I am playing with an Italian 3 man SWF, why should they use the ingame Voice Chat? And even if they would do, why should they include me and not just talk in Italian? So myself, as the Solo Survivor, would have no access to Voice Communication, despite being balanced around that.

Let alone that not everyone wants to talk to Strangers.

On top of that most people tend to dehumanize people that refuse to join a group so if the game had voice chat by default and 3 italian (to use your example) players joined the lobby and you were the only one not joining the voice chat due to the language barrier chances are they'd leave you on the hook and work against you similar to "some" selfish 3 man SWF teams. That's just how most humans are no matter how much people try to deny it.

Without default-voice-chats all 4 survivors are mostly in a neutral position and more likely to treat each other equally.

Also there's way too many children playing adult online games so the group issue is even more likely to occur with default voice chats.

  • Why exactly do people care about the sexuality of fictional game characters?

  • Friendly reminder:

Hits are going to be server-sided soon!

How could you remember Deathslinger's peg leg but not forget his jaw is nearly hanging off :)

I tried my best to forget about it. It looked so disgusting in the trailer haha...

  • Legion: I agree. Without weapons and entity strength they're basically... Just raging teenagers. David King would probably make short work of them on his own.

Ghostface: I agree. He's basically an average man.

Clown: I'm not sure about this one. He may be out of shape but that guy is HUGE and a real gore type psychopath. Despite his messed up looks he'd probably be dangerously strong. That guy would probably laugh while squeezing your eye balls deep into your skull.

Amanda: Definitely not dangerous without her weapon/entity strength. Some big guy literally tossed her into a hole filled with syringes in the movie. She can't physically defend herself.

Deathslinger: Personally I think he's pretty much defenseless without his gun. Physically he's an old man with a bad leg. Not much he can do.

Huntress: She's an absolute unit. Wouldn't want to mess with her as she doesn't fight to win. She fights to kill (as shown in her clip against the soldiers).

Leatherface: He's physically dangerous. Big, strong, doesn't hesitate grabbing people like a bag of potato chips and putting them on a meat hook in the original movie. He doesn't even fight you. He just grabs you and starts turning you into food. He doesn't even consider people "opponents". He considers them a threat and food. Wouldn't want tk mess with him even without his Poulan (chainsaw).

Strangely, Urban Evasion. At this point it should be a well-known fact that crouching in certain situations can literally save lives, and Urban Evasion makes you faster while crouching- to the point that actually, it's faster to crouch instead of walk. So yeah, I use Urban Evasion and Balanced Landing most of the time, probably paired with Self-Care and Borrowed Time.

Not correct. Urban Evasion is not faster than walking.

    Walking speed = 56.5%

    Urban Evasion (tier 3) = 56.5%

Seems like a bug, I got it done in 2 matches (found additional toolboxes in chests) and every box counted as it should

    This.

The challenge is really just using up some toolboxes.

  • I'm still getting hyped all the time (especially for the upcoming graphics update and early game change) and every new chapter even after 4000 hours.

I think the graphics update will greatly contribute to the horror theme of the game and MAYBE the upcoming early game change will force survivors to play more immersed at the start of the match which could POSSIBLY make the game a little more scary as well. We never know. Just gotta wait and see.

Climb the ranks. I've never seen killers higher than rank 10 do that.

Since most red rank survivors are boosted (due to easy ranking and current rank reset) so are most killers which means we currently have a lot of "fake red rank killers" who play and behave like yellow ranks.

  • @Bugcats said:

Why is it that 9.9 times out of 10 every single leatherface is toxic and facecamps/tunnels survivors all game? Is it a psychological condition where everyone who plays him channels his personality in the film and is simply #########? Genuine question.

It's not rocket science. The power to multi-instadown + bad killer (player) = camp. Since most people are boosted (on both sides) and don't care about getting good they will obviously just (ab)use my boy to facecamp.

  • 1) What that guy is doing in-game is "targeting" (bannable offense). If you manage to gather obvious footage and messages:

Upload everything on youtube and use the link to send the footage to the "banhammer-team" (support). You can submit a report-ticket using this link (also click on "additional player information"):

Copyright © 2019 Behaviour Interactive. All rights reserved.

    2) in case the stalker doesn't get banned: Crossplay is coming soon so the chances of randomly getting into the lobby with someone you get targeted by will be reduced dramatically!

    3) insulting someone via social media is more than a bannable offense. It's literally cyber bullying so I would -depending on how serious it is- contact the police and ask if something can be done about it despite international limitations.

    4) Not the best suggestion but: She could try and play killer herself making it impossible to target her. Playing killer is not for everyone but it's better than getting targeted by a manchild.

  • I usually just keep playing normally which means I'll down/hook the sandbagger/troll if they're standing there pointing at a locker. I don't care whether there's a survivor in a locker or not. Why would I care when there's literally a survivor in front of me not moving to point at a locker? 🤔

  • Every offensive action (so basically everything that can injure/down a survivor) burns 1 stack even if you miss (due to a 360 or fast vault for instance).

PWYF works great on instadown killers as it makes it easier to close the distance quickly thus reducing the chance of the survivor to reach a pallet or window in time.

PWYF by itself requires some luck. The obsession can potentially be an immersed survivor. As a result you would play with 3 perks most of the match which is why PWYF is often combined with Nemesis as this allows you to get a new obsession everytime you get stunned.

However you basically use 2 perk slots just so you can get a little more movement speed IF you take your time collecting stacks.

Collecting multiple stacks requires you to break chase so you have ti waste time (collecting stacks) to eventually save time (by getting quick downs).

PWYF is a fun perk to use but even with multiple stacks and an instadown killer STRONG survivors will catch on quickly and just camp pallets/windows to deny the instadown/force the m1 or drop it earlier to not become the new obsession.

  • We get it. You try your best to troll people at rank 16 (according to the video you posted in another thread called "fun to tease").

Great. You're showing them yellow rank survivors who's boss. Do you want a cookie or something?

  • I noticed it as well but I think that footage was recorded ages ago because it looks less detailed than the PTB version.

Pause the video exactly when it switches to Claudette's point of view at 1:43

    https://youtu.be/nsJ5igHp1hc

The ranged attack kinda looks like a carpet so I think the PTB version is the live version.

  • I'm sure I will get dunked on a couple times but that's just the price you have to pay until you reach perfection. That being said getting tbagged and messaged isn't the end of the world. The only thing I hate is people that win and try to waste as much time as possible before leaving.

I still can not believe we're getting a Silent Hill chapter. No matter how much I'm gonna get tbagged I will definitely enjoy this chapter. I've never been so hyped. Who would have thought you would ever get the opportunity to play Pyramid Head? Like seriously... That's just crazy.

You mean we're not? THAT explains why my check hasnt come in yet.

It's not too late to cancel the yacht purchase, is it?

@topic: Personally I'm going to play Pyramid Head in a role play kinda way. I've already thought of a fun build that doesn't really consist of any meta perks. Not everyone is playing with the intention to be an arse.

  • One could say this proves killers are op as hell. Even if you finish a gen in 17 seconds AND play in an obvious SWF team with multiple brand new parts and a total of 4 toolboxes the killer will still 4k. Just saying.

That being said the developers are planning to change up the early game so I don't understand why some people are still talking about gen speed. They already said they're doing something what else do you want?

the requirements of dead hard is literally run (press Shift+WASD) why do it work?

The requirement is pressing the active ability button while HOLDING the sprint button. You never had to actually sprint to use it. It's always been this way.

  • Why would it not work while standing still? It's got a fixed animation so literally all you gotta do is see in what direction the survivor's body is facing if you suspect they're trying to bait a swing by doing a standing dead hard to a window for instance. Pretty easy to counter since they can't change directions while dead-harding.

  • I will probably play him perkless for a while just to see how strong he really is. Perks can give you such a wrong idea about the potential of a killer.

  • Self Care is one of the best killer perks in the game. The synergy with Sloppy Butcher is awesome, too!

  • Didn't this generator spawn there pretty much everytime when the Pig chapter was new? I remember getting looped around that gen and everytime I switched directions trying to mindgame the survivor I chased quickly repaired the gen a little more hahaha...

  • What kind of pain? Just curious. Tendon issues?

  • I mean... You're right when it comes to toxicity. I don't even read messages anymore when playing DBD. After literally every single game at least 1 message pops up and it has never been a gg hahahaha...

I think the devs also mentioned XBOX had the highest number of mori users.

  • @HellDescent said:

It does. But what people usually mean by this is red ranked players can play like yellow. Because there is nothing that separates cream of the crop from the rest of the red ranks. Boosted survivors can get carried by their teammates while boosted killers can just tunnel all game or play legion to get to red ranks

I was actually going to do a Gameplay Guide for Bubba for the contest. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to or not but I'm going to create it anyway. I'll even show screenshots to show how I've done with him.

No offence but Bubba is not even remotely strong (especially vanilla Bubba).

I've probably put more time in him than... Well... Anyone else? (as I have almost exclusively played him since his release).

Yet I accept and understand that he's a bad killer despite the fact I've consistently gotten 1-2 minute 4ks with him even on red ranks and even against red rank SWF teams who were recognized by another forum user.

If a killer's power completely relies on the mistakes of survivors said killer can never be considered strong.

Luckily most survivors on red ranks play just likr yellow rank survivors these days so even Bubba can feel like a decent killet most of the time.

  • To be fair every "fast attack" feels unfair when the killer has a bad ping. Hillbilly often runs you over with his chainsaw even though he's been looking to a whole other direction, same goes for Oni who often smashes a wall while you're getting downed behind him, Deathslinger's harpoon often connects through the wall when you're already around the corner on your screen.

It is what it is. However a lot of this will probably change for the better once the hits are finally server-sided. Killers with potato internet or generally bad ping will probably hit nothing anymore at that point.

  • I believe @Peanits said it was in fact bannable to block survivors in a corner before the EGC starts because the blocked survivor has no possibility to end the match. If SOLELY COMPLETE STRANGERS have the power to end the match within a time frame you (as the blocked survivor) don't even know (they could be derps that fail to find the remaining gens for years! Not really but you get the point) then it's certainly not in the grey zone.

survivor is a joke in its self, had a nancy the other day that never looked behind her and missed so many pallets (rank 2) like wut even lol. but yeah most of what he complained about doesnt make much sense, some just isnt true and some i dont feel he understands why. like DS and swf is very strong but i feel he misses the reason why... hopefully the new ranking etc, will short the mess out though

So it's not just me who keeps noticing odd Nancy players? Some of them truly are "stranger than things"... *cough* ...

As for SWF they're obviously able to play more efficiently than solo players but I think the devs will find a smart solution. I got a good gut feeling since they mentioned they're going to change up the early game by adding something similar to the EGC but for the start of a match.

Would be nice not to feel like DBD was a racing game haha...

I thought the same thing, yet they’re claiming Rank 1 for both roles.

There's actually quite a lot new players on red ranks on both sides since it's hideously easy to rank up on both sides if you really want to. On top of that some killers pip wayyyy easier than others (Legion vs instadown killers for instance) and getting rank 1 as survivor is.. Well.. Let's not talk about it.

So chances are op is actually rank1 on both sides and still new to the game depending on what you consider "new", of course.

Personally I think op must be new because of complaints like flashlights. Like seriously... How the hell can you call flashlights unbalanced at this point haha...

  • Something tells me you're new to the game.

not looking for sympathy. just find it funny how "riled up" people get over a game.

They're trying to enjoy their spare time like any other human being and you are actively trying to get a rise out of them by playing 0% skill facecamp Bubba and acting childish by saying:

    - "rank 13 salt"

    - "GOT WRECKED EZ :)"

    - "it's bannable but luckily I want to see you again" (targeting players is a bannable offense by the way)

Nothing funny about that really. But you do you.

I had someone kill themselves on hook, after getting hook for their first time. Said person in question, stuck around until post game chat, just to say bad game. Like they screwed over their team. Than stuck around just to say bad game at the end. Like i have to question their logic. Maybe the game would of been a good one, if they didn't screw over their team by killing themselves so quickly, they got only 2k points. Solo survivor can be "fun" at times.

Reminds me of a match I had yesterday (even though it was a different scenario).

A Wraith started snowballing like an instasaw Hillbilly during the first few seconds of the game. 2 survivors down, 3rd survivor starts hiding.

I was literally just starting to work on the first gen. First survivor kills themselves on hook immediately, second one goes into struggle, third survivor was still hiding in lockers (I had bond and didn't see the aura of the 3rd survivor during my entire chase).

I was on the other side of the map and wondered why they were doing this. Why even play the game if you're basically planning to screw over the team before the match has even started?

Luckily the killer had BBQ so he went for me on the other side of the map and... Well... You would expect the hiding survivor to unhook the other survivor while I was getting chased right? WRONG. Instead the survivor (a Laurie Strode) let the other survivor die on their first hook AND decided not to repair gens.

I ended up getting chased for over 4 full minutes in 1 single chase. Killer still got a 4k at 5 gens. Turns out the last survivor wanted a hatch escape and blamed everyone else including me.

Like what was I supposed to do? Unhook the person on the other side of the map while getting chased? Was I supposed to repair all gens by myself while getting chased?

I recorded the chase and the clip starts exactly when the survivor dies on their first hook. Maybe I should upload it to make several points one being the fact that rank doesn't mean anything on both sides (the killer was a rank 2 and still needed more than 4 minutes to down me like a rank 20 killer) and the other point being that people eventually play in a SWF team for a reason.

Not because they want to bully killers but because it's like the only chance to consistently have fun matches as survivor. At least that's what I think.

That's why I don't even dodge people that look like SWF teams. I get it. They want a fun match without brainless potatoes who think of the hatch at 5 gens.

1 … 36 37 38 39 40 … 75
