killers complain about this for years... and what happens? nothing, so dont expect some changes i balance in the future.
even with most obvious flaws u see in the matchmaking the devs still think its cool to balance this game for grey ranks...
Actually the devs mentioned they're going to change up the early game by implementing something mechanically like the EGC in their latest stream if I remember correctly.

So you basically want to buff iri head...

Hits will be server-sided soon which means people that mess with their ping on purpose will never get a hit anymore (correct me if I'm wrong).

You can report players using this link:
Copyright © 2019 Behaviour Interactive. All rights reserved.1) click on "additional player report information"
2) describe what happened
3) upload your video on YouTube and add the link to the description
If the clip shows obvious teaming with the killer with the intention to kill other survivors/griefing and contains all the names and everything chances are they'll get banned (pretty quickly). I reported someone myself who worked with the killer on console and they got banned like 3 days after I submitted the ticket.

Thank you for providing a side by side comparison. I think it shows the differences pretty well.
1) Size of her eyes
2) Nose is too pointy and narrow
3) The so called "cupid bow" (the section between nose and upper lip) looks totally different
4) the shape of her lips is off
5) her jawline/chin/cheeks are somewhat off
That's all I've noticed so far. That being said I still think they designed her pretty well.

I agree she does look a little different. I think it's cause the eyes are too big. At least it isn't as bad as Laurie or Quentin tho.

The shape of her lips, chin, jawline, eyes and her skin color seems a little off judging by the pictures you provided.
-
First and last picture = DBD
I think they designed her pretty well. I only see a slight difference in the shape of her lips and maybe her chin but other than that she looks pretty similar in my opinion.

It's normal with any killer if survivors are inexperienced.
It's why new players often think that killers are OP and the game is horribly broken in their favor.
Pretty much this.
If a killer sees an opportunity to build massive early game pressure by downing multiple survivors in the same place most killers will go for it - particularly competitive killers (who often play Spirit, Hillbilly etc).
If you notice a killer starts slugging and you know you are going down try to get downed as far away from the other slugged survivor as possible. This makes it easier for the remaining survivors to pick you (or the other slugged survivor) up as the killer can't be everywhere at the same time.

I wanted to ask is spirit and clown free to everyone or they are free only to switch version cause when i bought the game i got them free
Spirit and Clown can be obtained with (9000) shards which you get via playtime so yeah they're pretty much free.

Are you serious? Freddy weak? What are you on?
The comment you replied to was posted in 2018 before Freddy's rework.

Playing killer is more fun than survivor - simple as. As survivor it doesn't matter how good you are. you WILL die even to a new killer who doesn't even know what mindgaming means if your teammates are useless trash survivors who hide all game and never touch a gen.
As killer I'm in control of my fun and experience. If I perform well I will more often than not dominate and decide how the game goes.
-
You don't need lockers to hide from BBQ if that's your concern. You can:
1) hide your aura behind a generator's aura.
2) move in one direction when someone gets hooked then change directions after 4 seconds.
3) hide within the killer's terror radius (BBQ only procs if you are more than 40m away when someone gets hooked) when they're about to hook someone.
As for hiding in general there's enough line of sight blockers on just about every map that you can use to hide behind instead of lockers. You shouldn't prioritize lockers especially when you're not injured.
-
Doctor isn't crazy op or anything. Sure he now has an increased chance of downing survivors within a reasonable time window but he still can be looped for a while if you know what you're doing. Obviously you will go down quickly if you straight up never bait a window vault or pallet drop as he now can zap you without having to switch between shock and hit mode. He's a fair killer that can be annoying due to his strong tracking but he's far from being op or anything.

Meanwhile veteran survivor mains like PUPPERS think this about Pyramid Head:
"it is gonna take a while for people to master Pyramid Head. It will be similar to Demogorgon. When played by average players he will probably lose quite often because his aoe attack is like a delayed hatchet (Huntress)"

@EmpireWinner said:
Flashlights are already weak as they are rn
Only really useful for saves but most killers will face a wall, thus making them not game changing.
This.
Flashlights already did get nerfed into oblivion ages ago. Right now they're rather weak items that have little to no impact on most games. Hell, there's not even a difference in blinding time anymore so a yellow default flashlight is just as weak/strong as a purple flashlight with addons in this regard.
-
It's probably the same "double hit bug" that once occured with Huntress during another PTB so it's not actually being removed as it isn't really a legit thing in the first place. It's just a PTB bug/glitch.
-
*GOOSEBUMPS* thank you. The devs did an amazing job!
-
We had this conversation a couple times so I will say what I always say: A battle amongst all killers doesn't work without categories as some of them are / seem to be - immortal (Freddy, Myers, Pyramid Head [suicide scene was symbolic as James accepted his guilt according to most theories] etc)
What killers are even "biologically normal living beings"?
-
Ghostface:
Fairly strong, can get easy hits and downs as he can cancel his terror radius and instadown survivors (although it's often more efficient to just hit them while having no terror radius instead of stalking them), can mindgame some loops by crouching while changing directions. If survivors reveal you they give their positions away via killer instinct. Most people seem to enjoy him.
Leatherface:
Has the best grinding perk in the game (BBQ), has a legit instadown which however slows him down allowing survivors to reach a pallet or window, can be spotted across the map, doesn't have anything to counter strong loopers which is why people often get frustrated and facecamp with him.
Pig/Amanda:
Can slow down the game using her helmets (rng reliant), the helmets give away positions of survivors by beeping loudly once activated and will SOMETIMES kill a survivor (rare), can cancel her terror radius and use the ambush attack to anti-loop certain pallets.
Myers:
Best dancer and hottest killer in the game, starts off with no terror radius by default allowing you to sometimes grab people off generators at the start of the game, has a very potent and easy instadown with an increased lunge range, his addons allow him to play the game in various ways. Jumpscare Myers, infinite t3 Myers, tombstone Myers etc. come to mind.
Pyramid Head:
Seems to be potent in anti-looping with his ranged attack which however is extremely difficult to hit against good survivors who react and dodge, has a built-in minimori, you can send tormented survivors to cages after downing them which spawns them to the other side of the map.

i mean i complained about it, i also hate the legion event cosmetics coming out. to me killers should be horrifying, not it some joke costume thats more funny. i guess im old fashioned wanting things to match the lore and genre of the game
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1311452#Comment_1311452
i guess youre trying to say im fat or something? because wrong, i just want lore based cosmetics and less revealing stuff because it sells to those people who always have to play a half naked female in games or someone with a big ass
That's not what I said. Personal reasons can be just about anything. Also you're specifically complaining about revealing skins for females when David King gets to run around half naked - literally. You realize what this makes you look like, don't you?
As for "lore" @Iceman described it perfectly: "There could have been a point of time where Claudette went outside of her comfort zone."
-
No offence but is it possible that you feel offended for personal reasons?
-
Akira Yamaoka hasn't been making Silent Hill tracks since Shattered Memories (late 2000s [2009 I think]) so the answer is probably no.

PH will receive big nerfs for sure... so far he is too easy to play so killers dont get stressed against pro loopers, bodyblockers, DS, flashlights, sabotages.. he is the perfect killer right now
Pyramid Head has exactly 1 thing going for him in a chase which is his ranged attack. This ranged attack is OK-ISH against good players because:
1) windup animation
2) audio cue
3) "beam" animation
4) the damaging spikes have a brief travel time
As a result any good looper can react and dodge his ranged attack at least a few times even if Pyramid Head predicts the survivor's movement decently.
Stop acting all dramatic over a killer that you (obviously) haven't even played yourself. Using his ranged attack effectively requires a lot more skill than facecamping people on rank 16.

@Peanits @not_Queen Whichever map designer put this dude in this damn locker and gave me a near heart attack when running from PYRAMID HEAD!
Give that person a raise, because they damn well deserve one.
The corpse always spawns in a different locker, too! So that jumpscare will get some people multiple times.
I wonder if the developers are hiding an EGC easter egg just like the Hawkins box that opens during the EGC.

They need to do like most forums do: No threads on the same topic, unless it's considerably different from the original. Also better rules against flaming topics in general would help. There's a big difference between constructive discussion and "I'm just mad."
True. It would help if they started putting identical threads together based on which thread was created first.
-
Some console players probably feel it's unfair to play against people with twice the fps. Also literally all hackers are on PC (including those that appear in console lobbies with hacked Crossplay). That's two things people on console MAY want to avoid.
Personally I couldn't care less about crossplay as I don't care too much about in-game results. I just enjoy DBD for the gameplay and can't wait to scare some people as Pyramid Head.
-
Sounds like a big nerf to me - REEE!
No, but seriously:
What if multiple people created a thread about the exact same thing, though? If everyone has to wait for an hour you have no chance to check whether someone else has already posted a thread about the thing you want to discuss. As a result the first page would get spammed with the same topic all the time due to the 1 hour time window.
Yes, it already happens a lot but with that change it would possibly double the number of identical discussions/complaints etc.
Right now (with no delay when posting a discussion) you can at least see whether someone has already posted something similar on the first page(s).

I don't know if I'd make that comparison; while the Deathslinger is slower, he also has next to no windup time. Pyramid Head, on the other hand, has to charge up his power first, and creates a zone that the survivors can see and react to if they've got fast reflexes. His turning speed is also limited while he's doing this, so making sharp adjustments is much more difficult.
This.
On top of that Pyramid Head's ranged attack has almost no range. It's like what - 8 meters by default? And you can't apply NOED with the ranged attack and/or pull (injured) survivors back into the map when they run into the gate. Also Pyramid Head's ranged attack has a slight delay before you "shoot" AND during the "shot" (as the spikes of his ranged attack slowly travel from point A to point B).
Also Pyramid Head has a 32 meter terror radius whereas Deathslinger has 24m AND can be even smaller with addons while aiming.
Also Deathslinger can apply mangled or even exposed effect with addons using his ranged attack whereas Pyramid Head can't apply anything using his ranged attack.
-
Easily original Tinkerer. I loved that perk.
-
The developers probably think they can allow people to block each other in the future when crossplay gets added as the queue times will be instant anyways for everyone when all platforms are united.
-
Ever since the developers released Bubba I decided to main him for most of my 4000 hours as he's "the" chainsaw icon of all time. However - never would I have expected the developers to add my favourite game icon of all time - Pyramid Head. I will - no matter what - main Pyramid Head for another 4000 hours even if he turns out to be mediocre tier. I'm seriously at a loss of words...
Thank you devs for making this crazy dream of mine come true!
-
How many more ways to taunt do you need at rank 16? Most yellow rank survivors probably don't even understand you're (for some reason) trying to annoy them let's be real.
-
Why is everyone talking about Monstrous Shrine? Op was talking about the perk "Mysterious Shrine" which summons angry unicorns that track survivors and mark their positions by puking a rainbow that lasts for 10/15/20 seconds. Ok, I'll go now...

But some of those players back then are STILL around, thus new players are being matched against survivors with even MORE accrued experience.
If matchmaking worked properly new killers wouldn't have to face any of the experienced og players so I blame it for bad first impressions. Real new survivors will struggle just as much getting into the game with the reworked maps, removal of pallets (over the course of the years, not the latest patch) and mechanics like pallet vacuum (which made it way easier to get used to survivor gameplay and chases back then), tracking and stealth powers etc.
So basically if matchmaking worked every new player would struggle equally resulting in fair first matches - at least theoretically.

Maybe im confusing how long it takes with how long your blind, I guess what i could be experiencing in game is some people have better accuracy? Sometimes it feels instant
Blinding duration is definitely still affected by addons so that could make you feel like someone has a strong flashlight and accuracy makes a hell of a difference as well. Some people adjust their camera before they even start blinding resulting in quick flashlight blinds whereas inexperienced players often flashlight your hair - or your genitals before slowly moving the light beam towards your face.
-
Read carefully. I'm not denying you can increase the blinding duration. The devs only removed the difference in blinding time. All flashlights need the same time to blind a killer regardless of addons.
That's why the new Odd Bulb description says "increases beam brightness" instead of "Tremendously increases the Flashlight's Beam effects" (patch 1.0.0)

Theres no way thats true. Add on descriptions aside (which you can read if youd like), you can tell when someone has add ons because youre blinded longer and faster.
Quote (patch 1.8.3.):
Odd Bulb: "Nerf: removed the Blinding Time reduction."

It just blinds the killer really fast. Maybe theres a more efficient way but that will blind them stupid wuick and for awhile
Wrong.
Flashlight types and flashlight addons have no effect on how long it takes to blind the killer. It used to be this way before the flashlight nerfs (before patch 1.8.3)
-
That was painful to watch... Makes me wanna camp my basement chest.

Are you new to the game?

Except matchmaking at that time was better, meaning a rank 20 killer or even 16-ish didn’t fave instaheals very often. They faced survivors with few perks and no real looping knowledge. So they were kind of bad at killer but the survivors were generally bad too unless they had smurfed.
Now a rank 20 killer could quite literally have his first 10 games against a team of red ranks. Even if those are solo players and not the cream of the crop that killer is going to STRUGGLE.
I talk about the matchmaking from Very recent experience, I’m capped at million blood, dailies, etc so I played killer for my girlfriend to get her some points and she is at 20 because she only plays survivor, I faced nothing but red rank teams all night for about three hours. Now even with good perks I put up a good fight... but can you imagine a brand new player in that situation? It would be enough to make you quit.
Yupp that's a legit point I completely forgot. Matchmaking wasn't as messed up as it is now. I did face a few red ranks when I was new (I remember it because one specific red rank is now a friend of mine as he was really polite post game) but other than that I can't remember matchmaking being all that messy back then.

IIRC, rank 20 killers did not get matched against red rank survivors in 2017.
That's a good point. I forgot awful matchmaking for a second.
-
Quote: "The issue is right now DbD as a new player experience is the worse it has even been ever especially for killer."
Wait... What? When I started in late 2017 survivors used the following every match:
- REAL instaheals
- REAL brand new parts
- REAL god loops
- pallet vacuum
- more pallets including god pallets that were not even mindgameable (pre school entrace to name a sample)
- more windows
- SAFER windows (Wretched Shop to name a sample)
- darker cosmetics
- Balanced Landing passive effect to nearly loop buildings infinitely
- multiple exhaustion perks if I commited to a chase too long because exhaustion used to cooldown WHILE SPRINTING
- REAL decisive strike (especially non-obsession decisive strikes that were completely unexpected)
I could list a bunch of other stuff that I remember but you get the point. Playing killer is really easy now.
Ironically I rarely moaned back when I was new. I just played and enjoyed killer gameplay because DBD was completely unique gameplay-wise. Were there any other games like DBD back then that allowed you to hunt down other players like prey?

Are you serious? Why do hackers get to play with everyone but normal people don't. 😁
I suppose the devs have already added the crossplay coding a while ago but haven't enabled it yet - perhaps for technical reasons who knows. However hackers can probably just use it to enable it themselves. Just a guess.
-
Just gonna leave this here:
https://youtu.be/KCcd_zdyLNEAt topic: All current DBD hackers are PC players. Those that appear on. XBOX or PS4 enabled crossplay allowing them to join console lobbies.
