For suvivors: definitely a yes.
For killers: definitely a no.
-
Changing the numbers a little bit doesnt change the issue the perk actually has due to certain unholy synergies. Its another prime example that devs do not understand the state of the game.

The only real solution to tunnelling is to make it mechanically impossible, but while something that achieves that without unfair side effects is being cooked, being able to slip away from the hook more reliably and evade the killer is one of the safer ways of stemming the bleeding, so to speak.
Elusive can't reliably be abused at all and does stand a chance of really helping people get away from the killer, so it's a pretty good temporary band-aid.
Literally everytime a survivor is tunneled, the killer has LoS on them and elusive doesnt matter anymore. Also most maps dont have enough LoS-Blocker to hide at all. BHVR has to acknowledge, that the only way to deal with tunneling is effectively making it impossible to achieve. You can achieve this with only two ways: put on all the needed status effects or just put survivor into a different dimension (like spirit phasing). As long as devs refuse to accept this, there wont be any improvement gameplay-wise ever.
But due to last community stream, there is absolutely no hope in bhvr accepting anything like this. They literally take the view, if there are so many nerfs on one role, the other role needs as many buffs for compensation, they obviously lack any reasonable understanding of balancing.
-
did you ever play Lights out as survivor? I guess not, cause this was literally the most hideous thing to do as survivor from all the modes beside My "stomping" little Oni.

If that was a strong killer, they wouldnt be called d tier and survivors would call for nerfs.
Btw you sescribed nurse.
Killer players always call any killer D-iter that doesnt anhilate survivors.

Bhvr what are you doing? Last time Chaos Shuffle returned you made Addons random for Killers but removed some of them from the chance pool which was a totally logical and good change. Why the hell would you change it now? There is a difference between a survivor getting a 1 out of 173 chance to pull the one perk that nerfs you (NM) and giving every killer their stupid meme addons that nerf the power for 1% more bloodpoints and then there are addons who don't work together and result into making the complete power useless.
And no little Timmy "but Survivors also have every addon for every item randomized" is not a valid argument when there are 0 addons in this game for the survivor side which make the item worse or the survivor.
Chaos Shuffle was perfect last time and again your weird habit to fix what is not broken is making the game worse.
Youre playing a mode with just rng and ask for something specific. You do understand what youre talking about here, right? RIGHT?
-
Some people are just downvoting everything. Though most of the killer topics are just poorly bias.
-
If you compare it to another pvp genre like shooter its basically a fundamental different sphere. Hit boxes of legit everything are wonky, hit detection is abysmal unreasonable and servers are literal trash.
-
Its called rng.
-
- Killer will never get a 5th perk slot as this braks balance entirely.
- If you ever get an issue with gen kicks thats a you issue. The limit is totally fine and noone thats has decent game sense has an issue with this.
-
Youre only pressured by yourself expecting to have easy wins every game.

How is a P4 Trapper vs an entire full SWF P100 squad a fair match up exactly ? I set up two traps on the ground and 3 gens popped. I'm not even sure how that's even possible within about 30-35 seconds ? I have the recording. Idk maybe gen rush is getting wild again ? Like what exactly is the formula for match ups ?
Explain to me what prestige has to do with matchmaking?

Can we expect event to be extended?
We didn't get to fully enjoy whole 3 weeks of the event, because the cake drop rate was significantly worse for the whole like 9 or 10 days.
Some of people didn't even play the game for that period of time because they had a lot of BP saved and waited for the cake drop rate to be adjusted.
On top of all this servers would crash, connection was poor, a lot of bloodweb errors - especially for first 2 days.
It still happens, but rarer.Pure greed.

Again wanted to know why they use it for not the intended purpose. but i thank you for your valuable input into this topic and wish you a good day
It is an intended purpose.
-
Why would people want to make use of their perks? Great question.
-
Ingame tranparancy isnt a wording in bhvrs vocabulary. Literally every other game has much more menu options than DbD. Heck, most games even show some kind of their own MMR.
-
Getting rid of map offerings would be such an easy and most-wanted change thats its never gonna happen because bhvr.
-
It was all for the sake of killers.

As always, it depends on what you mean by 'buff.'
Michael was a 'low-tier' that got 'buffed' and is now a disaster gameplay-wise.I personally think Vecna2 is a pretty good standard for killer design, strong anti-camp, requires two hits before lethality, high skill-floor but decent skill ceiling, map travel is fair, etc etc.
Bringing every killer to A-S tier would require substantial survivor buffs to compensate, which I doubt would be received well.Myers didnt get buffed, he got reworked. Big difference. Every rework was utterly bad so far.
-
Most pallets are either trash or easily mindgameable. If this is frustrating for you, thats a skill issue on your end. Cause its nothing a killer couldnt handle with a bit of game sense.
Its funny that people still claim survivor would need training wheels while its actually the other way round. And thats nothing that could be denied.

I don’t think it’s trolling. There are people who genuinely believe that the side they don’t play is overpowered no matter what - you see it on both killer and survivor side on this forum. People are free to not play killer/survivor if they don’t want to, but if you don’t play both sides then you are going to have a very biased view about game balance.
People only try to use this "if you dont play both sides youre biased" as a strawman argument if they have absolute no legal argument to go with.
-
Whats the point in showing killreates that are already filtered, so they dont look so oppressive? There will never be stats released that you could interpret properly.
-
Is this satire?
-
Its their new cash grab. They wont change it for about a year at least.

literally and i mean literally i and many other people cannot play the black banquet because survivors are just handed the win of a silver platter while killers literally get curb stomped like dude. Also please make jasons spike have a better hitbox i threw it and it collided with a window frame that was like 10 inches away from it
ITs funny how people still claim this to be an issue. Bad players will have bad games, good players will have good games. None of my regular killer main streamers have serious issues winning games. And I dont have any better games as survivor since killers learned how to circumvent most of the mechanis with ease.
-
Most of the asked licences are completely useless to even ask about., Why are there several games that have nothing to with survival horror, not even to speak about all those cringe pop artists. I guess they really want to go childish fornite.
-
Anyone who still pretends that this event is soo survivor sided has absolutely no game sense.
-
The sad thing is, killers complain about everything in this event but have the most broken mechanic for the full match time.

There are people that dont play nearly as much as I do that deserve to have enough cakes to last the rest of the year too. Why are the cakes being balanced around the players that already play a LOT?
Why should people be rewarded for not playing the game? If they do play the game they get rewards that were more than enough though. You do NOT need to get free stuff to carry for the rest of the year.
-
Its always the same with killer calls on "OP" perks. But bhvr takes always on those shitstorms, no matter how wrong they are.
-
Or you reconsider your own stance on how much of free rewards is really fine. People here are super greedy when it comes to free rewards. Literally nothing is enough, no matter the reasonable point of view. The only argument yo have is "it wasnt like this before". And thats such a poor thing to say. Every 2 levels a guaranteed cake was more than enough to save hundreds or thousands of them from this event for a later time. The stance from bhvr on this is totally fine. Youre not supposed to save more than you can use, but thats what people are greeding for, mindlessly.
-
Yeah, good job opening thread number 524 on this instead of using one of the existing threads. And no, the event doesnt make the game survivor sided. If you lose many games thats on you.
-
Cause it isnt.
-
Are they?
-
You get more than enough.
-
Bad server, broken hitboxes, questionable hit detection, questionable killer priority. Take whatever you want. Not even shooter have such issues anymore.

Not sure how its false information. So i called it blood hunt when its blood moon. everyone would know what i mean but you seem to want to make this into a big thing that i called it the wrong thing.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4095056#Comment_4095056
No one is defending anything that is false. Regression did not win you games in blood moon event guarenteed. You speak as if it was busted event because regression perks are a thing failing to even understand the points being made that there is no way to track survivors as they are walking around the map with cans, 5 second fill up then back to walking around the map. Regardless of the amount of regression perks you bring that event just enabled stealth gameplay and made it incredibly hard for killers.
You wrote yourself, thats its the same. Thats obviously false information. Why do you try to badmouth me instead of accepting that you are wrong?

@ShanoaLegendaryPlz said:
During last year's anniversary, I played every day of the event. And even with the heavy nerf to cakes last time, i managed to collect over 1100 cakes on Lara Croft, 1100 cakes on Rize, 200 cakes on about 6 other characters i occasionally enjoy playing, and 100 cakes on each of my p100s since their cake rate was absolutely obliterated.
This year ive also played every day so far, and have put over 11 prestiges into Shane. And all he has so far is 185 cakes. Even following the most efficient bp spending methods like auto spending to each guaranteed cake level for a chance to get extra cakes (which was patched out).
So currently the event feels like i can only afford to collect cakes for 1 person only. As i am not willing to blow 13 prestiges into all the new characters i occasionally enjoy playing, that have come out since last year. And i can forget trying for cakes on my 100s because it wasnt worth it last time either.
So you never had the thought that cake rates in previous years were just absurdly high? You think its fine to still carry many of them after a year? Its funny how people just accept being oversaturated with something as normal.

Sounds to me like you didn't play it because those blood gens went by in a heartbeat. Here's a tip for you, you're supposed to fill up on blood at a gas pump and then pour that into the blood gen. That whole process not only goes by very quickly, it also ensures that the killer will struggle to find you because you're always moving. Figured you might not know that given just how mistaken you are about the event.
nah, you made clear, you didnt play the Blood Moon this year. There is no dyning that with the regression builds it was not as easy as you want to make it look like. You do understand that regression like ruin worked on those gens, right? Right? I dont understand why people here always try to defend something with false informations.

Blood hunt/blood moon its all the same thing mate. Your splitting hairs to try and win an unwinable arguement. You will never win the argument trying to deny that this event is anything but survivor sided as the forums blew up saying it, All top 10k hour streams are saying it. If you actually played killer once in a while you would understand but from all your comments its very clear that you don't.
I dont know why you spread obvious false informations? Blood Moon is a yearly event in dbd, while Blood Hunt is a BP-modifier that occurs whenever bhvrs wants to. The rest of your post is just laying words in my mouth, cause I never denied that the 10th is survivor-sided. What do you gain from accusing me of things ive clearly never stated?
-
Its nothing new. They always tunnel more during events, cause the most obnoxious players want to ruin the fun of everyone else.

@Zenislev said:

Yeah, I've played every event for years now. There was no dilemma. Players could crank out blood gens very quickly and since they don't have to stay in place, the killer would struggle to find them as they were doing them.
Either you didnt play the last Blood Moon or you just didnt understand how it worked. Just run the regression builds and noone could crank out anything.
-
Its primarily the game itself that doesnt work on fun. And the development promotes this.
-
@Wiccamanplays said:
There are more Survivor and more Killer characters in the game than there were this time last year. That means more BP is needed by the average player to spend on perks, items, add-ons and offerings between them. In what way is it then desirable or reasonable that there are fewer of the event offerings that increase BP available overall? I don't want this to become something about hurt feelings or failed expectations, so let's just stick with the mathematics. If Tortes are not random but fixed within the bloodweb at a low frequency it's going to be very hard to accumulate any decent number on any one character without burning millions of BP at a time, and with 45 Killers and 56-odd Survivors, even the 15 million bonus we've received doesn't go very far.
You do get a decent number of cakes. Escpecially with the gifted BP you can earn more than enoug.
Regarding your logic: your initial situation that there are many characters so you need many bps. So now you actually get an event with a decent amount of bp and youre still complaining. Thats greed. There are more opportunities through out the year. You do not need to max out all the chars with this one event.
-
Yes it is.

Yknow with the way you throw that word around, can I ask a favor? Can you show me ONE post from prior years anniversary events where someone, ONE PERSON, complained that they received TOO MANY cakes. Please, I am dying to see it.
There is NOTHING greedy about wanting the Cake rarity and frequency to stay the same as it has for the last 8 years.
Why should I do that? It has absolutely nothing to do with what was said.
And its still greed if you ask for free stuff to be more than enough.

I'm genuinely confused - you are in essentially every thread shouting down people annoyed about the cakes.
What does it hurt you for cakes to be more generous?
Is this just being contrarian, or actual malice?

People are leaving their opinion of a game based on the things the developers are doing.
Godforbid.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4094229#Comment_4094229
This event is just such a mess. Invisibility is just…why? And them giving cakes like a 15% buff reads more as a middle finger than anything else.
Again - just let us have cakes the way we used to!
Nah, those people are propaganding their opinion based on their personal greed.
-
This explains nothing. Or do you expect everyone to give views to some random YTuber?
-
If you feel forced to tunnel you made mistakes before. Instead of throwing the same tantrum as every killer in these forum, you could focus on getting a better understanding of the game mechanics. We dont need another gen speed nerf as long as its just too easy as killer to rely on "killer strategies".
-
Review bombing over something like cakes is such a childish behaviour and is just contradicting its initial use. And all the people still complaining after they increased the cake gain within a day are just greedy people who cant get enough. Its fine now, so you could stop claiming otherwise.
