BHVR should change their "vision" regarding future events.
It was confirmed as part of the series of attempted apologies that the reward structure for the Black Banquet with 27 cakes per prestige was not only intended, but outright the goal moving forward for event reward structures, and that the 9th anniversary reward structure (which, to be clear, was a gigantic dip below the 8th anniversary reward structure) was too high and needed to be deconstructed so BHVR don't make the mistake of giving us rewards again.
Speaking as someone who has been playing events for years, I am baffled by this statement. Surely you want events to shower your playerbase in rewards - giving players reason to come back day in day out and pad playercount numbers as well as make money from cosmetic and character purchases from returning players?
I think there's two pathways here. BHVR should either reconsider the point of event rewards - which is, for BHVR, money from cosmetic purchases and for the players an opportunity to make a lot of progression on the characters they love, or they should at least explain to us why things are changing. What reason does BHVR have to, two years in a row now, hugely reduce the reward structure and then signal that that reduction is fully intentional?

i mean, i get the furstration when your used to having more in previous years, but you still get pleeeeenty of cakes and so many people are arguing that they dont have 1k cakes stored on each character and i dont see that as a valid argument point personally.
I suspect behavior doesnt want half the playerbase to have cakes to last all the way to and then past the next years event which while i dont see as important i can see why that might be a business decision.

Or you reconsider your own stance on how much of free rewards is really fine. People here are super greedy when it comes to free rewards. Literally nothing is enough, no matter the reasonable point of view. The only argument yo have is "it wasnt like this before". And thats such a poor thing to say. Every 2 levels a guaranteed cake was more than enough to save hundreds or thousands of them from this event for a later time. The stance from bhvr on this is totally fine. Youre not supposed to save more than you can use, but thats what people are greeding for, mindlessly.
There are people that dont play nearly as much as I do that deserve to have enough cakes to last the rest of the year too. Why are the cakes being balanced around the players that already play a LOT?
because 1 million bp will 27 matches worth of cake which by the time you finish 27 matches will have paid you back like 10 mill bp or soemthing if everyone else is using them to.
There is no cake shortage.
they also started by giving everyone 10 mill so that is like roughly 500 cakes that everyone got if they spent the bp. my math is certainly off but the idea holds true
Why should people be rewarded for not playing the game? If they do play the game they get rewards that were more than enough though. You do NOT need to get free stuff to carry for the rest of the year.
Before the recent buff to cakes, it was so slow to aquire cakes, that i would have to prestige characters over 20 times just to get a decent amount. Not 1000, just a decent amount to last a couple months, for 1 character. Now count how many characters are in the game and explain how im supposed to get a decent amount of cakes on all the characters i like playing without having to blow 200 million bp. Sure you are getting a "surplus" but an extremely slow surplus for 1 character only, or at most 2. Now i can give everyone a decent amount without it taking forever.
I hope they learned that everytime they try to lower the cakes most of the community is going to fight back.
